I took my Mazda 5 in on 8/10/21 for a ringing noise on the belt side of the engine. They correctly diagnosed the problem as a worn compressor clutch. They gave me an estimate for replacing the compressor, drier and condenser for $1,400. WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY EVEN OPEN UP THE SYSTEM AT ALL FOR A COMPRESSOR CLUTCH? I ordered the clutch for $64 and a good pair of snap ring pliers for $26 and did the job in a morning.When I asked the front desk why they dont just replace the compressor clutch, he said We dont do that. Translation, not enough money in it. I would have gladly paid handsomely for their profit on the clutch part and labor, but reaching into my pocket THAT MUCH? I wont be back.

I had my oil changed at a different company that forgot to reset my oil change warning light and it was screaming at me an hour before closing time on Sunday evening, yet this wonderful man named Michael was patient and even though Im a natural blonde and went to the store on the exact opposite end of town and ended up being a couple minutes late getting back down to his store, he waited for me to get there stayed late and still helped me clear the code just so I could get to work this morning. Honestly it was the absolute best service I have ever received from any mechanic shop ever in my life and I truly have no idea how I would have gotten all the way out to Parrish today if it had not been for him, Firestone you guys have a wonderful employee. Thank You!!

I first visited this location two weeks ago when a low tire pressure light came on in my car. The technician told me it would take him “literally hours” to determine which tire was low as my car didn’t indicate which one like his does. So I was forced to buy a new set of tires because he refused to spend the time to determine which tire needed replaced. It would have been really time consuming to check the pressure in each tire to see which one low?? Really??I returned today to have my brakes serviced and after two hours I asked how much longer and they said they weren’t sure if they would get to it today because I didn’t have an appointment. Seems like something they would have mentioned when I checked in at noon, 5 hours before closing. Unprofessional and unknowledgeable.Buyer beware

DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. Went to swap my TPMS sensor from 2 different sets of wheels, the mechanic did a mistake and ended up putting back the TPMS sensor in the same set of wheels, due to time I was told to go back another day which I did, but they were charging me again for something they should have done in first place, pretty absurd, payed $150 to just get my sensors taken out and put back in the same wheels, manager “Anthony “ it’s very disrespectful when it’s about giving the costumer a decent treat, didn’t get a refund or job done. Not going to Firestone ever again

After going to Tires Plus where I spent a fortune on my tires, I ended up here. The other place said it would be a 3 hour wait to even get it looked at for a simple tire repair. At Firestone, they got me right in. The people were polite. There is a comfortable waiting area with a TV, comfy chairs, coffee, and device charging station. I will definitely come back here.

The staff was friendly and fast. The manager answered all our questions and didnt hesitate to help. Will definitely be going back for service.

Add an appointment waited nearly two hours for the appointment I finally get them look at my truck are supposed to put tires on and they decided to take it for a test drive first everything is I brought my own Tire I can understand maybe taking a test drive afterwards but not before you get my truck when I first got there they acted like they didnt even know I had an appointment its all the same sad story to the next six customers that came through the door about how hes understaffed the only shop open on Sunday and so on and so forth the guy named Anthony does not seem to have the greatest attitude I would not recommend this job to anybody

UPDATE... BEWARE**Since having work done at this location the following has had to be done as the result of this locations negligence. As seen in the photos below, I took my truck to the South Lakeland store to have my alignment fixed by someone who knew what they were doing. Not only did I get my steering wheel aligned. It was brought to my attention that the guy that initially did the alignment, MADE IT WORSE! The guy should not be touching peoples cars. Additionally, I had to have all 10 of my spark plugs and coil packs replaced. They started misfiring and we couldnt figure out why (see photo of tow to stop further damage). Upon their replacement, we find out the person that did my oil change... guess who.....not only put too much oil into my engine, he dumped it all over the top of my engine. This resulted in my coil packs and spark plugs being covered in oil, not able to get a connection anymore and misfiring. Additionally, my truck started doing the squealing sound with the wobble again that I originally took it in for. Firestone insisted it was my shocks....nothing else. After taking it to Tires plus, it was diagnosed that my rear caliper had failed and my break fluid needed to be completely flushed because it was congealed. Why was this not found during the 360* inspection I paid for?? They failed to properly diagnose my vehicle, provided the poorest of customer service, messed my stuff up more than it was when I came in....and they walked away with full compensation while I continued to pay to have their lazy mistakes corrected. Do not take your car here!Made an appointment to have their 360*diagnostic done. Came back that my shocks were worn. Ordered the shocks, waited for them to arrive, made the appointment to have them installed. Got there and was told it would take an hour; Went ahead and added an oil change and since we have the life time alignment, added that too. I get a call T H R E E hours later to tell me the wrong shocks were ordered. New ones were coming quickly. Little frustrated at this point, but the manager (Anthony) was doing me a favor for their mistake and not upcharging me the 66$ part difference. Another T W O hours later (5 hours for a 1 hour job) my truck is done. Guy (technician Bill) pulls my truck around after a test drive and has my drivers window rolled down despite the fact that it was WRITTEN at the TOP of my intake forms NOT to put it down. He forced it back up and when I spoke about it, said well I got it up....??? Why are those papers there if youre not reading them?? I leave, super frustrated and get a short ways away before I realize they never centered my steering wheel before they did the alignment and its now crooked. My husband calls to ask them to fix it, they say sure bring it in well fix it. Walk in to be met by Anthony the manager and he says This guys kinda rough with your type of truck, bring it back tomorrow and well fix it then. We J U S T called and told you we were coming back?? I share how upset with the list of mistakes we are and he again speaks about how hes already done us a favor by not upcharging us, blah blah....I asked for his managers info. He declined and asked why I needed it. I said because I was angry with the level of mistakes for the amount of money I just spent 😡 He hands me a free oil change card, Continued to apologize. My husband said he didnt want them to touch it, wed take it to another location. Now the technician gets to be apart of the conversation, he blames the crooked wheel on rubber covering my stabilizers. This guy cant read paperwork nor can he align properly because of RUBBER?? Are we for real?? And if this was really the case, why didnt you disclose this during the payment and checkout process? This place will never touch my truck again and I suggest making a longer drive to another location for your vehicle.

Scheduled my appointment online. Appointment was cancelled not long after i made the appointment but i was able to get in touch with the call center and they assisted me with rescheduling. Double booking seems to be an issue with setting online appointments. Outside of that single issue i had a very nice experience. Very informative of whats wrong with my vehicle and what needs to be done soon. They were very helpful. I believe the man that helped me was Anthony at the location i visited. I was very pleased when i received my car and the services provided. Professional. Thank you Anthony for taking great care of my car and his customer service skills were outstanding. I will return in the near future..

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT COME HERE!First time I went to get my two tires and oil change these people told me an hour in a half I waited there with my 3 year old autistic child for 4 hours!!!! Then today I went to go get another tire and my alignment fixed. Now all of a sutten my break line is leaking. I didn’t have a leak and my break fluid with filled up yesterday. Everything was find leading up to me picking up my car and now I have no breaks to my car and no break fluid. Horrendous place Togo to I beg you do not come here these people would try to play you. We have been back 3 times and every single time it has been the same way but the only reason we have went back is because we have a warranty on the tires!The 1st time we was there we bought new tires and they said our alignment was off but I never had any issues with my alignment or my steering wheel I drove it everyday, but when I picked my car up the steering wheel was so bad and the car was pulling to the right after I left from firestone and I felt like they was trying to sabotage our vehicle so they could get more money from us ! well I refused to let them do the alignment and I took it to stingray and they said it was off a little but not as bad as Firestone said it was!The 2nd time we need to have a repair done on the tire only to find out they never sold us the warranty on the brand new tires so we had to buy a brand new tire at full price because they could not patch it then we had to purchase a warranty on all of the tires !The 3rd time we went back and I personally don’t like getting our oil changed any place except for the dealership but we wanted to just get it done and need to get our tire repaired only to find out that we needed a new tire because they couldn’t repair it and they told us we needed a alignment and like before the alignment was not pulling anyway at all and the steering wheel wasn’t messed up but I called back and said it was bull about the whole tire situation and the guy Anthony laughed at me on the phone and that upset me really bad I told him just to leave the tire on it because I would get it patched at some other place but he said he had already changed the tire out I told him I want the other tire and then when we get up there he begins to walk out to us and tell us about our alignment well I was so mad at this man that I said oh no I don’t want you touching my alignment . well it is really bad now so I am taking it back to the dealership to get the alignment done...my experience with Anthony was so horrible I will not go back to this location ever it absolutely sucked !!!!!!!

Very Unprofessional! Took my car for simple tire repair just had a screw in the middle of the tire. I ended up buying a full synthetic oil change too while I was at it, and went home till repair was done. 2 hours later no phone call, I call up to find out if done, they did oil change then told me the mechanic measured tire depth, and barely less than their tolerance of 2/32s tread, they refused to fix it!! Wasted my time, then were extremely rude and told me to leave the shop cause I asked The manager Anthony why he let me go home without measuring the tread 1st and trying to upsell me 4 new tires for nearly 800 bucks! Im Latino, and on the way out was a Black Woman, who came to my car and said she too was they were trying to run her over with upselling a ridiculously amount of $. I took it to Finest Tire Shop Lakeland Hills they fixed it in less than 15 minutes for $16 bucks patched!!

Took my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 for a courtesy alignment check (I have the lifetime alignment with Firestone). I waited around an hour, got a clean bill of health and went on my way. A couple of days later I noticed my steering wheel was cocked 45 degrees to the left while driving straight on the highway. Upon inspection I found that the technician left the jam nuts loose on the steering linkage between the pitman arm and the drag link. Had this gone unchecked I couldve lost the ability to steer altogether and likely wrecked, causing damage and possible injury. Will not be back at this location.

If I could give them no stars I would. They left a rag in my motor and it caught fire. I had to call fire department and then I took it back to check it out. They said they could only refund me 100 from a 500 dollar bill. What a joke. I should have left the car burn. Needless to say after threats of attorney the gave mr a bit more back but I will never return there so beware.

Low air pressure light lit up. Pulled in. They were so polite and immediately put air in all four tires so I could get to my appointment on time. What a relief!

Made an appointment for Saturday to look at my AC and waited for confirmation. After showing up on time I was told they didnt know why it was approved and that they couldnt look at my vehicle. I asked if they could do it Sunday and was told that their technician didnt work on Sunday and Monday would be the earliest they could look at it. If I would have known this I would have taken elsewhere earlier Saturday and not wait for an appointment time. Ended up being a total waste of my time.

I had to wait. However, I didnt have an appointment. There was coffee and snack machine. The restroom was clean,so was the store. They had enough people for the number of bays. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. I would visit there again.

I came in requesting a new battery as it had already been evaluated by AAA and I was told that it was necessary for me to have a $27.99 Starter System check before they would replace it. It was presented in such a way that it was a requirement and they would not replace the battery without this service. I asked again if it was necessary and I was told it was. I reluctantly agreed even though I have never been required this at any other service provider. I later asked a different sales associate again if this service was necessary and told the exact same line word for word as the first salesman. While my service was being completed, I found a Firestone coupon online for a free battery check. I showed it to the sales associate and he looked very embarrassed and stammered that he would “take care of me” but that this was not the same service that they performed. This really got me upset because it was the service that I asked for, and I was up sold to the Starter Check under the false pretense that it was a requirement. I do not appreciate being taken advantage of and lied to. I will never, ever come back and I will make sure to leave negative review on both googlemaps and yelp. I will also tell all my female friends about my experience and warn them that you are the type of auto shop that takes advantage of women.

They have always taken good care of me and my vehicles. I enjoy the staff. The previous manager recently left, and was replaced by Josh. I have only been in there once since the new manager arrived a couple of months ago and the work was done quickly. Josh seemed like a very friendly, helpful manager.

I work for a local competitor and I came here to see how they worked. I set an appointment for an oil change and a flat repair. Price was pretty much exactly what I expected, Liz the manager was fantastic and friendly, she greeted me as soon as I walked in, and explained everything very well. Their waiting room is comfortable and clean with a lot of drink options. I waited exactly an hour which is what Liz told me it would be. Everything she told me my car needed, I knew it needed and she was honest about all of it. Prices were all very fair and she made no attempt to pressure me into any extra repairs. Walt and his team have taken care of my wife and I for years. Recently they replaced my wifes suspension. When we thought something was wrong with it again, they rechecked the vehicle and made sure everything was still good, which it was. Cant be happier with this team.

The people are friendly, most times over worked. Prices are better on some things than others. We women need to be more aggressive when go there or any shop. Know your car! I take my car at least every 3 months.

Firestone at the Lakeland sq. Mall was great all around. Stay away.. read the other poor comments, waste of time. They will lie and make sure you have to tow your vehichle if you refuse to let them do their overpriced dirty work.Came in for a simple oil change. While there I decided to go ahead and have my rear truck tire plugged since it was leaking 5pounds of air a week..The guy Anthony said no problem sir, here to helpLet them try. Two hours later was told the tire was non-repairable because I had a total of two thin finishing nails within six inches of each other and was against company policy to patch more than one hole . Anthony (the used car salesman) immediately stepped up with selling me the most expensive Bridgestone racing tire for my 2017 silverado 4x4. Wait? What? Hes trying to get me to buy a single $400 tire.. i was able to drive the truck in no problemAnd now if I dont buy this tire I have to have it towed.Wo OK. Gave him the benefit of the doubt until he tried to seal the deal by telling me his tire tech made a mistake and accidentally ruined the tire.. at this point I became I rate and simply asked that they would put it back on and I would figure it out on my own. The guy that claims to be the owner Anthony said no way.. got to call a tow truck.. I further explained to Anthony my previous work history and let him know that I was educated and knew what he was up to and was going to leave a review. He then changed it up and said so sorry sir, the tech did not destroy the tire, but were going to put your spare on. Well thank you! If Anthony tried to pull this stunt on me not sure who else he would try and swindle. Probably makes his living by lying to unsuspecting people that put their trust in him. He is a thief unless firestone fires him i will probably never return and make sure that everyone knows what happened here today .

Josh was so AMAZING! I came in on a flat bed tow truck ...flat tire on I-4 he took the time to explain the tire issue to me an helped me to pick out a really good reasonably priced tire... I was in & out in 45 minutes! The staff there is soo nice! 5 Stars no doubt!

Yes I had antire with the radial belt showing thru they were already busy but fit me right in ..I was in and out in 2 hours tops which isnt bad for a working / walkin..I was very pleased with the service.

I thought the staff was very friendly. My car needed a compressor and even though it was a little past the warranty they still replaced it. Nor only that but the part was not made anymore and they tried several different ones until they found a match. The mechanic working on my car stayed past his shift and missed his dinner to continue working on my car. Thats dedication. Liz the office personnel did a fantastic job and was very informative and friendly. Would highly recommend.

They stick to the founders philosophy on fair pricing and no pressure -- kind of. -- not entirely, but better than other Firestone stores. I used to train some of their specialists back in the 70s, but I do business with them because of founders philosophy. Yall have lost a loyal customer today. We scheduled a 2:00 appointment well within 24 hours before the appointment and yet waited nearly 2 and a half hours for a simple oil change. Your front desk associates at the 98 North Lakeland lacks customer service skills and communication between each other. We were told the vehicle would take an hour and half just to be looked at, and being a loyal customer whose previously had great service waited that ridiculously allotted time.My husband was told after 2 hours that they just started working on the vehicle (which was a lie) because 20 minutes later my husband then ask the status of our vehicle and he was told that they made a mistake and the vehicle was in fact not being serviced.Before leaving my husband was told, Im sorry, well do better next time.... Really?

Wow. I am absolutely floored by how rude and demeaning the woman at the desk was (Liz J). I couldnt even ask her a simple question without her freaking out and getting worked up. Very bad at explaining things, but only because she treated me like I was an idiot. Horrible people skills. The other man there was very nice and helpful though! I think his name tag said Fluffy. I was hoping after having to deal with her over the phone all day, I wouldnt have to see her in person again. Also, I brought my car in at 10am, was told it would be done by 12, and got a call at 11:30 saying they had to have my size tires delivered from another store (30 minutes before they were supposed to be done). No big deal. Then they said it would be 3 more hours. So that would be 2:30 right? My car wasnt ready to be picked up until 4:30pm! How on earth does it take someone 6.5 hours to put 4 tires on?! I get that 2 hours were spent getting the tires, but come on.

They have fantastic customer service but they couldnt align my car cause they are only able to align your car from the tires from the tire and not from the rim,.

Lol so this place I went to for an alternator, belt and coolant fill. I came late so I dropped the car off and I looked at the mileage before I left it was at 79,844. I picked the car up it had 79,880. I asked the guy did he test drive my vehicle he told me no. And I asked could I take that alternator home because I had a warranty on it and he said no I need a core I said alright I’ll be back tomorrow .. I took my car home that day it drove fine. The morning I went to exchange alternators on the way there my engine throws a rod through the bottom of the engine. This car was very well taken care of oil changed every 3000k Miles. I call the manager they tell me I drove it home it’s out of our hands.I got the car towed home and opened the engine the retainers were cracked from mechanical over rev meaning somebody drove my car and miss shift into a lower gear causing the car to over rev.. I will never take my car to another firestone in my life. Very dishonest people. It cost me 3100$ to replace the engine in my car.

So I took my car into the honda dealership because my car was shaking while driving. They told me I needed 2 new front tires because I had a bubble in one but both needed to be replaced. Yeah okay, after them telling me the cost for 2 tires they wanted $800!! On top of that they wanted to keep my car for 2 days because they needed to order the tires!! Yeah whatever! I asked for my car back and I saw that they went through my glove compartment and took my stuff out and laid it on my passenger seat! I had enough! My mom suggested taking my car to Firestone and they were outstanding! I’m so glad I listened to my mom. They charged me $200 for 2 tires and had it done within 2 hours! They were very honest and had suggestions of what else need to be done to my car. I highly recommend this firestone!!

Car broke down around the corner Firestone decided to look at it after price comparing they were $200 more and everyone else to fix the issue. When we told them that we didnt want any work done and we appreciate them looking at it they told us it was $26. We thought they were being nice at first because we broke down around the corner but then they decided to charge us just to look at it and do no work.

I see and hear a lot of mixed reviews about Firestone in general and other locations, but this particular location has been my go-to for tires and service for years. I have always been treated fairly and while they generally call to upsell you a bunch of stuff when you take your car in (I suppose thats their job lol) I have never had a problem where they recommended a service that wasnt legitimately recommended by the manufacturer. They also dont get offended if you say no.PRO TIP: If you buy tires here be sure to get the road hazard. It has paid for itself many times over in the years I have been dealing with this.

I have taken my car to Firestone several times for different repairs. They are always friendly, knowledgable and helpful in making decisions about repairs. They find the problem right away and complete the repairs the same day when possible. Once they fix something, it stays fixed. Cant say enough good things about the guys at Firestone. Repairs are reasonably priced.

Its always an enjoyable experience having my car serviced at Firestone Complete Auto Care in North Lakeland; excellent staff, great customer service, and the quality of the work is unquestionable.

Well they told me since they couldnt recreate the problem with just driving the car a short distance. There was nothing they could. They didnt hook anything up to it to check fuel pressures or timing. He said he was slammed and didnt have time to mess with it because he was going on vacation in 3 days. Get a second opinion. I had some lights on my dash pop on, so I stopped by firestone to have them take a look. I got a call from Liz, and she said there was a leak in the brake line. Also, that Prius brakes are more complicated, and that I would need to replace the lines, calipers, pads, and rotors on the rear wheels for $1,300. I asked if they could replace the brake lines, and I would do the rest myself to cut down the cost. “No, it’s not an easy brake job, and we have to do it all at one time, there are no other options. There is no pad left on the brakes, and the rotors are bad”.I had my oil changed, tires rotated, and an inspection just 2 weeks ago, and everything was great. Now they are in that bad of shape?Needless to say, I took my car to the dealer for their opinion (in the meantime the lights on the dash were now off). No leak found, calipers, rotors, and pads are just fine. No charge!Thanks Lakeland Toyota for your honesty, and having my interest in mind. Firestone, take note.

Always get above and beyond service from all employees, the mechanic Cory Bryant is always very thorough explaining any issues updates or findings. I am very picky about who works on my vehicles, I have been using firestone for years now and would never trust anyone else to maintenance or service my vehicles after my excellent experiences with firestone.
