Excellence! Best word to describe them. I dont give 5 stars lightly. In my opinion, for a establishment to get it, it has to excel. I mean, from their customer service to the quality of the product or service theyre offering. Certified Marine Inc go far and beyond. Pat and Frank make a perfect combination. Pat is the grumpy stubborn person that you see in the movies but you know deep inside is a good heart caring person. Frank is the laid back always joyful person. Since the first time I went there they inspired my trust. Kind of hard to find that, especially with mechanics. They didnt only fix my boat but they also show me the problems it had and taught me some techniques on how to keep my boat in good shape. I do highly recommend them.

My first experience with these guys. I bought a 1997 Bayliner Capri that needed the MerCruiser outdrive rebuilt. Pat rebuilt it like new again. He even save me $800 by rebuilding the carburetor. I was expecting the other “possible extras” to be tacked on the bill, but he said we were lucky. What can I say… These guys earned my trust and future business for sure.

Mike was the 2nd mechanic i took my 1991 15hp 2 stroke mercury outboard to. He quickly was able to troubleshoot the electrical issue i was having and eliminate multiple components that could have been the issue. Mike promised me i would hear from him in the coming days with any charges for parts prior to buying them and he followed through! Motor was fixed and I have a 1 pull motor once again. Thank you Mike. I will tell all i know to use you!!

Wish I could give 6 stars. After a serious headache with another repair shop I took my 2000 Bluefin to Mike at Certified Marine. He did not sugar coat anything and took no short cuts. I needed a full lower end rebuild which you could tell Mike knew this job inside out. If anything was abnormal as he took my lower outboard apart he called and sent pictures, great communication. Mike has been really awesome about telling me the ins and outs of saltwater boating. Mike is the real deal! NOT a parts changer, he knows his boat stuff!

Took my boat in for a fuel issue, wouldnt stay running. Mike the mechanic was extreamly professional and knowledgable. My boat happened to be under warranty from another dealer and they took care of me as if I was a cash paying customer. The service was quick and should I have had to pay, the fee would have been reasonable. I took by boat out this weekend to test it and WOW what a difference. Took my motor their for a carb rebuilt. Picked up motor after repair. Told the water pump needed to be replaced. Decided not to due to cost. When i got home, i noticed a 3 inch bolt not fully secured. So i secured it. Then noticed the front screw holding carb and face plate was missing. I then took foot of and water pump housing. Water pump look perfect. So all i can figure was that the mechanic was trying to scam me. I gave two stars because he did a good job on the carb only. Probably wont go there again. Too many mistakes.

Best place to get repairs done around in the boat marine industry

On or about July this year I ask Pat to look at my boat and advise me of any problems,I knew the out drive need some maintenance.After having the boat for close to 3 weeks he recommends an out drive rebuild.The repair took another two weeks,I picked up the boat put it in the water,and within 30 min the out drive starting making a noise! Called the repair shop and was informed that Pat was out of town,so another two weeks go by.Pat returns and admits he made a mistake and he will make the repairs,another two weeks and repairs are made! I picked up the boat put it in the water and after an hour noticed water leaking from the transom! Returned the boat, Pat agrees to advise me to where and why there is a leek,and other 3 weeks go by,I call Pat and the boat is repaired(he did not call me to advise),the problem he says is in the transom.Now he should have noticed when he rebuilt the out drive! He also informs me that he replaced the starter,and his reasoning,I told him to because the boat sank(the boat did not sink).Put the boat in the water and it would not start? I called another mechanic,he located the problem in the starter (Pat says he replaced)?Bottom line Certified Marine is not a Dealer I would recommend

Not sure how he stays in business, I parked infront of his business and I had my hand on the door knob to purchase a new prop when he yells at me to move my truck, so I did right up to Old Salt Marine where you dont get chased off the premises.
