Wonderful experience. When it seemed like there was no solution but to buy another boat. I found this place in my last efforts to find someone to repair my classic. No other place would repair my Ol Nelly . They offered competitive rates and they had no competitors, being my only option. Fast service, and friendly personnel. Highly recommend these folks for all ur marine and boat repairs and maintenance.

Big mistake, couldnt get the motor started after they worked on it, the guy said he would remove the electric tape and splice the wires with marine grade connectors, but I had another boat mechanic come to my house and do an inspection and he showed me red wires connected to green wires and lots of problems.damn, it started every time before I took it to them and now its grounding itself out, keeps tripping the breaker.texted the guy several times getting more and more angry and then replied with foul words in text, so more evidence for the judgeworst mistake going here, i wish I read the reviews first

This is the worst experience Ive ever had at a so called business.Got taken for over $1000.00.Charged for parts and work that was never preformed.Holding my bass boat hostage unless I pay his ridiculous bill.Liyer and a cheat .The biggest film flam man I have ever met.Dont go near this place.

He busted out a transom job quick. Worked with me on paying but I showed it to my aluminum welder and he said he would have done it for 500. It was a thousand.However the transom is very sturdy BUT the motor is positioned too high and is sucking air unless it is trimmed all the way down which digs the nose of the boat in the water. I asked him to lower it back down AND HE IS AVOIDING ME. bulspit. I will never go back.

This place sold me a used Yamaha 50 to motor that they said was in excellent condition. I stopped running after about 10 hrs use so I took it to Erwines in Frostproof where they just told me the motor is trashed. Quality looks like a cesspool and functions like one. Stay away!!!

This guy is a fraud with a long criminal history of theft. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. If you would like to let someone with zero mechanical skill work on your boat, and pick it up in worse shape than you left it, Don is your man. Scam artist at its finest! BEWARE!

Gave it a star because i had to, to post review. This business is no business at all. Don does NOT listen to what you need or want him to do, basically does what he wants so he can get the most money out of you, and then cant tell you exactly what was done or justify why it was done before discussing it with you. Asked for a diagnosis and to inform me of costs to fix BEFORE he fixed it to see if i could afford the repairs, he ignored the request, and then charged me almost $400 with me getting my boat back with nothing being fixed. He is absolutely impossible to reason with or speak with, told my husband and I we were really starting to piss him off and that we could pay him, take our boat, or dont pay and he would keep it. He is a crook, and I will not ever refer anyone to him.

If you want to pay top dollar for service and not fix your boat problems then this is your place... The mechanic Donnie is unprofessional and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone... DO NOT take your boat here unless you want to get ripped off...

This place is a rip off talked to the lady on the phone was told they had not looked at my boat yet went to get my boat the next day and was told they did look at my boat fed me a bunch of lies just so he could charge me 80 $ to look at it when I went around back to get it the motor had not even been put down door someone to look at it this place is a total scam

I read a lot of reviews written for quality boats. I observed a few things. People come into our store, request work to be done. We give them a price and once the price is approved we work on the vessel only after we receive a signed work order by our customer. After the job is complete, customers dtartvgonpksy the lets make deal game. We have the lowest hourly rate around. We perform professional, quality and reasonably pricedWork. I’m a certified Tohatsu mechanic. I went to school to earn this degree. I treat every customers Bost as if I were doing the job for myself or how I would want my job done. I work with customers. Problem is customers drop they’re boats off and when the work is done as priced and as agreed, they want to try and save money by trying to renegotiate the prior agreement. Many of the comments made are by individuals who should not even own a boat or people trying to save money to repair an old engine, engines do old the cost of repairs exceeed the value of the engine. I’ve told customers I wouldn’t put that money into old engines yet they still want it done against my advice. When the bill comes they realize that they shouldn’t have put the money into the vessel. So if you choose to believe the stories or complaints then I’m not the store you should deal with. It’ll save us all future mishaps. If you choose to give us s chance, you’ll see thst we do quality work st reasonable prices. Thank you. Donnie

Buyer Beware... While traveling our boat trailer broke down so we needed a replacement. We went to Quality Boats and bought a used trailer for $795 cash. The first time we put the boat on the trailer 4 days later, the bumper board broke as it was rotten wood. We took the trailer back and this dealer kept $150 from the sale saying this was a used trailer and we should have known better. Do not deal with this boat dealer in Lake Wales, if you have a problem, he does not stand by his products.

Sad to say that they are not a quality place. I took my motor to be serviced and $700 later and a Seatow experience my motor is back to square one. Would not recommend this place. Same experience with Donnie, kind of himhaws around what they say they did, cant show proof of what they did, and then beats around the bush about who did the work, what should happen, and how much its going to cost.

After tuneup i receaved someone elses gas tank. Went to use it. Spewed gas took it elsewhere found needle valve missing. Lower end lube had not been changed will nt be returning here!!

Dont go there. They dont they wont fix nothing ever charge you.

Horrible experience, charged me for several items performed that were not done at all, was out in middle of lake to discover, had to be pulled in. Not recommended by me for sure.

Long story short, Don will do things to your boat without your permission, then try and charge you a TON of money while threatening you. Out of respect to all of my people who need something done with their boat, do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Cheated me of 10:00o dollars. Donald is a cheat and a crook. Ruined my motor.

BEWARE: He just took advantage of my husband, who is a senior citizen.He called at 3:35 to ask him what hehad tried toward repair. At 4:08, he called to say the job was finished including a new battery.(the boat is not going to be used for 9 months)The charge was over $350. It is not the money as much as him taking advantage of him.
