Absolutely wonderful experience with Alex. First off after taking it to the dealership to get the battery and all assessed, I saved a grand by doing the work with Exclusively Hybrid compared to what I was quoted. He came directly to me, a 40 minute drive. Replaced the ECU and battery, realized that there was a leak in the hatchback and helped dry it out and gave me explicit advice on how I could fill in the areas leading to the leak with silicone. The leak was apparently the reason both my batteries fried, we discovered this after Alex called me to tell me that my battery had weird readings not typical of wear and tear (another step above and beyond). He advised me how to drill a hole underneath the battery compartment. My family and I went to auto zone to get the other 12V battery, there they told us they could sell us the battery but wouldnt do the replacement, something about Prius computer components and throwing off a check engine light, told us to go next door to shell out more money to have a professional do it. Called Alex, he A. told us that no its not difficult to change and B. if we got the car to him he would change it for free (we ended up doing it ourselves and having no problems). So glad I did not go to anyone else! The advice and peace of mind on top of everything was priceless.

Perfect place to get hybrid battery repair. Never go to dealer for hybrid battery issue..the only option dealer give you is to replace with new battery. Alex is best in battery work.

Saved me thousands of dollars over a new battery. Alex is extremely responsive, courteous, and flexible. He was able to accept the car and return the car after hours. If you have a hybrid vehicle and you need battery work done, you need to check him out. He knows what he’s doing and he’s not adversed to doing his own research into your car to help you in your situation.

One week after moving to the area, the hybrid warning message came up on our prius. After trying to find a reputable battery shop in the area, I found EH. Alex was not only knowledgeable, he took time to answer all my questions and had the battery swapped out in the same day. YMMV. After the install, out MPGs went back up to 48 from the mid 30s. His service, knowledge, and attention to detail are top notch with no nonsense. If you have a hybrid that need traction battery service, make the trip. 100% recommend.

True story. I never write reviews...My 2010 Prius 113,000 miles starts lighting up like a Christmas Tree on a Monday. Needs a new main battery! Toyota Dealer wants $4,000. I called Alex at Exclusively Hybrid in Lake Park, Florida late around 7 pm and he answers right away and he tells me to come in the next day. Next day Tuesday I drive 1 hour North from Miami. While he and Matias put in the refurbished battery I take a walk and have lunch at Panera. Even though Matias had to step out real quick for a family medical emergency, he was right back to finish the job!...Drop the mic. Im out of there in a couple of hours and my 2010 Prius is humming strong like its brand new. Total cost????$1,273.30..1 year or 12,000 miles warrantee. These guys are good. Excellent service & prices!I went to see Alex when my 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid died (after not running the car for a few weeks). I contacted two Ford dealers prior to contacting Exclusively Hybrid...Ford told me they only had 2 hybrid battery chargers available in the entire country and Id have to drop my car off and wait a few months for the charger to arrive. They wouldnt even guarantee that theyd be able to charge the battery! I opted to go to see a hybrid specialist instead. Alex is very friendly and very knowledgable. Car was running again in no time & price was very fair. Highly recommend Exclusivly Hybrid for any issues you have with a hybrid vehicle!

My 2007 Camry needed a battery replacement 1.5 year ago. I did the typical dealership inquiries and local repair shops for estimates. After researching and reviews I trusted Alex. He installed a refurbished battery with warranty at a fractional price of other estimates. Post Irma i had a battery issue, and am pleased to say that Alex honored his warranty and got me back on the road again. Kudos to you Alex youhave my loyalty.

Came to Exclusively Hybrid because I needed to change the battery on my 2010 Prius. They were highly recommended and I have to say I was not disappointed. My Dad first heard about Exclusively Hybrid last year on a radio talk show. At the time, the battery warranty was expired so he kept a mental note of the name. A couple weeks ago the engine light and message Check Hybrid System appeared on the dashboard. We drove the car to Advance Auto Parts for a free system analysis. The handheld computer device said Deteriorating Hybrid Battery. We emailed Exclusively Hybrid with questions and all were answered promptly. Research was done and my Dad phoned Alex the owner for more information. All his questions were answered in a professional manner to his satisfaction. Finally, Alex was given the green light to replace the battery. He came to our house and did an outstanding replacement in less time and for less money than other dealers who quoted higher prices. Our 2007 Camry hybrid is running fine thanks to Alex and Exclusively Hybrid.

My ct200h died just two days after getting out of the hospital and trying to get to a drs appt. I got a Lyft and the driver had a prius and recommended Exclusively Hybrid and said CALL HIM! He was right. Alex is a unicorn in the industry, for sure. Helped me get back up and running quickly and even stayed late to be sure it was done and everything was explained to me.It was comforting at a difficult time to have someone so helpful (and going back for more repairs it needs). Ive gone to the dealer multiple times and they always look at my car like theyve never seen it before (and took days and botched up my side passenger door to fix a bracket recall).It was refreshing to have someone know exactly what to do!! Although, I did not end up changing my hybrid battery through Exclusively Hybrid because it was too far from where I live, I highly recommend this company. It is rare to find someone who genuinely wants to help you even if they may not make any money on you.

I was driving Houston to ft Lauderdale in 2 days, Prius with 290k miles breaks down on highway, called Alex as I drive off freeway in breakdown lane, he saw me 10 minutes later and had my Prius fixed the next day! The price was very good and dont even think about going to the dealership. Exclusively hybrid is highly recommended!

Alex runs an efficient lean shop that, like the name says, is exclusively about hybrids. He knows them inside and out, down to the individual hybrid battery cell level. He diagnosed my former battery and found that at 130K miles, the individual hybrids cells were showing their age. (One should expect erosion from plates of metal sitting in baths of acid.) Alex was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and quite passionate about hybrid technologies. He worked quickly and diligently to change out my battery in under an hour for my Prius. For me, he offered two options. The first option was a less expensive in-house rebuilt battery pack with a one year warranty (which you can see those packs lined up on the shelves being prepared for the next customers). The other option was a Dorman battery pack, featuring the latest 3rd generation cells, with a three year warranty. I chose the second option as I intend to keep my car for a while. I happily and highly recommend this shop and wish them great success. Thank you, Alex!

Update 11-2019: The battery Alex replace is at 60K now. Double the 30K that it was warranted for! My 2008 Prius is still going strong at 200K miles. I will do another update at 300K. We went there after getting the triangle of death on our 2007 Prius. We took it first to a local mechanic that charged us $200 just to check it and then told us it would cost more than we paid for the car to fix it! We went to Alex and all we have to say is that the reviews that brought us to him were all so right! He was the nicest guy. Didn’t gauge us and checked our car without charging us and quoted us a fair price with options. He fixed it all the same day and even took the time to show us everything and explain all of the inner workings of our car. He managed to show us all of this without making us feel like we were dumb although, we don’t know much about hybrid cars. He also waited for us to get back to pick up our car after getting stuck in traffic for 1 1/2 hours! He then went above and beyond even more to offer to look at our other car. We had already taken up too much of his time and it was late so we didn’t want to keep even longer, but needless to say we have found our hybrid savior and will go only to him for all of our future hybrid needs!

Simply AWESOME!!! Unparalleled service. Called late on a Sunday afternoon, yet Alex took the time not only to talk to me but even confirmed symptoms I didnt describe to him, he really knows his stuff. Came all the way to my driveway the next day and in one hour the car was fixed. Most importantly, the price for the service an convenience was the lowest (as I found out afterwards). They got my business so long as I own a hybrid.

Exclusively Hybrid helped us with our buggy Ford Escape hybrid...twice. Old Escape hybrids are not the best, but on the other hand, Exclusively Hybrid is excelent!

This business was recommended to me by a fellow Prius owner. Ive been there three times and I would highly recommend it. Alex is the owner and he has already saved me over $1,000, in repair fixes. First he identified my combined meter problem and advised me my car was still under warranty (even after 7 years), so he saved me money there. He knew Toyota had extended the warranty on that issue. He then fixed my air conditioning problem for hundreds less than the dealership estimated. He is very knowledgeable on all aspects of my Prius and he deals with other hybrids as well. Id highly recommend him as both an incredibly knowledgeable service tech and a very honest businessman.

Dont Take Your Hybrid to a Toyota DealerOur 2006 Prius was having issues so we took it the local Toyota dealer. They told us that it needed about $4000-$5000 of work and that they were not even sure if that would fix the problem. They told us it would be better to just get rid of the car. We almost did before contacting Exclusively Hybrid. Alex was able to diagnose the problem over the phone just by my description of the problem. The issue was resolved for around $600. If we would have had taken the car to the Toyota dealer to fix the problem they would not have even replaced the part that was causing the issue. Alex is honest and was kind enough to answer questions that most car dealerships will require you to pay over a $100 to put it on a computer before even talking to you. Say no to Toyota Dealers and YES to Exclusively Hybrid!!

The hybrid battery went bad on my 2004 Toyota Prius. The Toyota dealer quoted me a price of $3600. I found Exclusively Hybrid on the internet. When I called them I talked to Alex. He explained to me how the vehicle works, why I shouldnt drive it with a bad battery, and why it is not safe. I brought the car to his shop the next day. He replaced the battery in an hour, and only charged me $890. He also gave me a great deal on all the maintenance. I definitely suggest calling Exclusively Hybrid before getting any work done on your hybrid car.

Alex at Exclusively Hybrid was great! Professional, customer service oriented, reasonably priced and informative beyond his obligations! I have a 2010 Toyota prius with almost 145,000 miles on it. My hybrid battery died less than a week ago. After being diagnosed at the Toyota dealership and doing some searching, we found Exclusvely Hybrid. They were great to work with, flexible and understanding and provided me with a battery, delivered and installed, for approximately half the cost of what Toyota quoted me! And...with 12 times the warranty! Toyotas battery came with 12mo/12,000 miles warranty which I would burn through in 3 months. My new battery from Exclusively Hybrid is warrantied for 3 years/unlimited mileage! And, for half the price! Alex put the vehicle back together perfectly, without a rattle or creak! He also provided some information to me to help me keep her running smooth for years to come!...information Toyota never bothered to mention to me or check/flush on my vehicle. I am thrilled to be driving my prius again and would recommend Exclusively Hybrid without hesitation!

Charged us about $1,500 for remanufactured batteries and the battery light came on again less than 24 hours later. This man is running a scam on those of us who own hybrids.

Alex really knows his stuff! He explained to me what technicians in Toyota could not tell me. honestly he is looking out in the best interest of his customers and is super passionate about what he does. I live in downtown Fort Lauderdale and after speaking to him over the phone I knew he cared because he told me to avoid driving on the highways so I would avoid harming the vehicle. These were things I should have expected Toyota to tell me when i told them I was going to take the care back from them due to their quote being ridiculously pricey.The education I learned about my car was so great that I felt that I was paying for a class with the way he explained and showed me what happened and what the cars computer reading. He opened a bit earlier than 9, and I was able to make it to work right after.***PLEASE NOTE that the 6% tax has been already applied***Autonation of Weston Toyota wanted to charge me $3,341 for both the labor and battery. With Alex I paid $1897.40 for a battery with a 3 year warranty and a 2 year labor warranty. This is more than what i was expecting and I WILL return to him for any service that i need help in.
