It appears the 99 Cent Store is going the way of the 20th century Five & Dime: nothing for a nickel or a dime and now soon nothing for 99 cents.But they still have quite a selection of the dollar items though frequently in smaller packages than normal retail stores. Yet I keep returning and buying so it must be one of my go-to favorites.

Besides the fact that probably less than half of the items are actually less than $.99, I love this store to find quick every day needs like food items, picnic stuff, seasonal home decor, etc. Yes I like this store, however I do not like this location.Reasons as follows:1:You will always have someone asking for money.2: I am sure The bathrooms are a location where horror films are recorded at. They are smelly, filthy, have flickering lights, no towels or toilet paper.3: If you run in for something quick, expect to be stuck in line longer than your stay. Seems they have a rule against having more than 3 isles open at once OR they are severely understaffed.4: Again, probably less than 1/2 the stores items are actually $.99 (but that goes for ALL $.99 stores now)

I found some great items that have lasted a while and made people happy

Good value here, especially the produce. They may be smaller but are absolutely just as good and a whole lot cheaper than at the supermarket.Four stars only because its a long slow check-out line.

I only give it a 3 because the area is super sketchy. There are people that loiter outside. The parking lot is busy, be careful when coming here. I came around 8 pm and I think it is a little better earlier in the day.The inside is organized, and huge! The staff seem nice. They have a good selection of vegetables and fruit. They sell milk and a few other refrigerated goods. They have a huge selection of candy, toys, party items, packaged and canned goods. I purchased a few items and got this great deal on a toy. it was marked as $4.99 and it rang up as $2.49. What a deal. This is a 99 cent store but some items cost more. They are marked with the amount. But most of the store is 99 cents. They have red bull for $1. and some gummy candy and party supplies for $1.Again I do not feel safe coming here with my son. There was a guy with tattoos all over following me a few feet as soon as I walked out. I turned around and asked if he wanted my shopping cart. He said no and turned around and stood right in front of the store. He was digging his pockets and looked almost as if he was on drugs. The parking lot has trash scattered. This store attracts all kinds of characters. Im not sure if it was the timing? maybe it is a little different earlier in the day?This store definitely needs more security.

Have good deal on something but you get what you pay for so choose widely

This is a pretty great 99 cents only store. They have a large selection of items and keep it pretty well stocked. There was a guy walking around sweeping the floors. My only complaint is the long check out lines. I definately think they can get more check stands open during their busy times.

This is the only store that I found that sells Crystal Geyser sparkling spring water . I buy 6-8 bottles at a time(1.25 liters) at 99 cents a bottle. Its as refreshing as it claims to be 😁 I find great deals like the LED Headlight for $1.99 and some of my favorite Mexican candy. The #1 complaint I do have is the fact that they dont water their plants. I asked the security officer why and he said because they dont have a hose long enough! Wow, Really?? I said Well,.. you do have a sink in the restroom right? And I believe that your store also sells watering cans right?? He laughed and walked away. Maybe its just me but all those plants so wilted and dying of thirst should be free of charge!!

Hi Im only giving a 2 star because tonight, I barely walked into the store and had my little grandma cart with my groceries from la superior WHICH THE BAGS ARE YELLOW. not white like the 99 bags. And not even 15 seconds later the security guard that was clearly bothering other people for reasons he shouldnt have which were not his place, Started harassing me giving me a huge attitude asking me why do you have that? Where are all those groceries from? As I explained my self I told him if he has a problem, he can look through my stuff as I have receipts from the store I just left. It made me very distressed I couldnt even think to shop. Oh! Also, Im Clearly very pregnant. 7 MONTHS PREGNANT TO BE EXACT. And he did not apologies. just gave me a huge attitude and walked away, then started to harass other people and would not stop staring at me following me around the store. I come to this store all the time with my Little cart, I dont have a vehicle and I cant lift anything heavy due to being pregnant. And NOT ONCE have I ever been harassed or flagged down and accused as soon as I have walked in! I see him all the time, He sees me with the cart ALL THE TIME, and now decides to harass me. It is not okay to harass people when you dont have a good reason to. I Was not stealing and i just walked in. And told him He could check my stuff! It looked like another security guard had to calm him down when he left his shift, and also a cashier. That was not okay. You should not be working as security if you have a temper and cant deal with the general public properly. Especially messing with a pregnant girl seriously? He was either East Indian, or Pakistani. He left at 9 around the time I was leaving. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. Most of the time I love this store the people are very nice, some of the cashiers and security I know have bad days and we are all just human but at the same time, You still get paid to act professional and take care of your customers. Until I have a reason to, I will leave this as 2 stars.

Fun place to spend a few bucks. Can find some really good deals on brand name food items. They even have fresh produce! I always feel excited walking out because of the awesome deals and cool new stuff to try.

Customer service is good. The only problem I have is that they change prices on fast moving items. For example they had egg whites for .99 now theyre 1.99. Had iced tea 2 for a dollar, now 1 for .99. At some point theres no value in going to a .99 cent store

Love this store! Was very clean and organized and checkout lady was super friendly. My only complaint is that the heck out lines are always kinda long. But it makes sense because this place is great!

Store was very busy, shelves well stocked, lines moved fast, employees extremely friendly and knew where all items I asked for were, cashier was fast, very personable, and told of how often new stock was delivered. It was the best trip to a discount store ever. Wal-Mart could learn a lot from this great crew of retail workers. Hats off to the all the employees. Great job!

Most of the checkers are quite friendly, great selection and big store. Not the cleanest looking 99 cents only store because the floors need remodeling. As for actual cleanliness, its about 8 out of 10 ranking. The remodeling to bring the shelving lower from the ceiling opened up the store to look more spacious and bright! More cheery than before when the shelves were higher.

Long lines. Never been here when the lines were not long. They suck! Again, lo g long lines. Only 2 cashiers.

A store that is run right. It has very few if any empty slots on the shelves, appears to be well stocked. Good selection of produce and dairy items.Also, a frozen section. The discounts are everywhere. Parking is also abundant.

There is a lot of good deals even if its over .99 cents. Security needs some help, very rude and has no problem cusing you out and pulling some weight even when its not needed! Are they human beings or some kind of animal? Not everyone is a thief and everyone doesnt need to feel like they are one! It wont hurt to smile and say hello.

Please! employ someone to clean the restroom it literally made me sick to my stomach, no toilet seat sanitation sheets, one very small roll of toilet paper passed back and forth under the stall by a very nice employee but the restroom was Very Unsanitary, politely put! PLEASE CLEAN IT IMMEDIATELY!!!! To whom it may concern. Other than that i wouldnt have a complaint.

If you are on a small budget, and dont want to spend a lot; then stop here! They have everything from pet supplies to auto supplies. Frozen food to fresh produce. Open from 8am to 10pm; 7 days a week!

Been going there each week for years. I go between 9-10 normally. Never have to be concerned with out of stocks or crowds or the parking lot issues for me. You can get some great deals on produce and other items if you know your prices and be sure to check the expiration dates on shelf items

The price is great for their products!! But this store is always in a mess. Stuffs all over the places and big lines the employees are not to nice their always unhappy for the big lines.

Best place to get really cheap stuff. Food and other amenities. I visited the States on holidays and this store saved my life! If you are travelling under a budget; need cheap stuff but with good quality or are planning to camp, thats the right place to buy.

Tough for Guitar Centers brick & mortar stores to compete with online only retailers. Nice to be able to try gear out but the overhead is a tough hurdle. They buy used equipment but they cannot pay market for obvious reasons.

Northgate location is the best for cleanliness, parking and customer service. I can travel to any other store in the chain. Even the traffic is easier.

The man running this place is not doing things right. He let the man in not wearing a mask but carrying all the money, and denied me entrance rightly but wrongly! I had no mask so I left.

By far one of the best 99 Cents Only Stores. They just remodeled. The shelves are lower, so the store looks bigger but still well stocked and organized.It also seems like they added more registers, but there will always be a shortage of staff.Keep your eyes open, some stuff is over a 99 cents.

This is one of the best 99 stores. Nice community, produce seems better than the others. Workers are friendly and more attentive. I give it 4 out off 5 only because its great but not the Ritz Carlton LOL

This seems to be the primary 99 Cent Store for this area. I call it the ghetto 99 Cent Store. All the other stores were nicer than this. It is located in a bad section of the Arbor. Basically this corner has always been boring and a little run-down. Its a fairly good-sized store but it is a bit run-down it needs an upgrade. I come here only for a specific bread and it comes in only sporadically and they hide it in the corner away from the regular bread. The parking for it is not so good. If you park next to Bank of America at the strip mall its always packed and hard to get in and out and if you park in the front of the store theres a lot of traffic there. Still... they have some good deals on things so once in awhile I will visit this location.

I really like buying my arts and crafts stuff here. They have glitter glue sticks for hot glue guns and foam boards I used to make signs. I also go there for their holiday selections.

EXTREMELY CONVENIENT! Here youll find new terrific items that you can try before theyre sold at regular shops for lots more money! Also, very decent produce, toiletries, clothing, hygene, party favors, school supplies, etc. Several shoppers though, are nasty shoplifters who steal merchandise and open food boxes or whatever, to try without paying for them. The store should install cameras that will show the perpetrators on a big screen at once. At the bottom should read: IF THE PRICES GO UP, BLAME IT ON THESE PEOPLE!

I usually will get my fruit and veggies there. Sometime you get organic frozen food. Good vegetarian options. 👍

This location is always packed! The cashiers handle it excellently though. Its never a very long wait and this store always has a great variety of quality items.

Lately, Ive seen an improvement in the way the isles are organized, the employees are more responsive and cordial to customers. There still room for improvement but 99¢ store management should be commended .

I go to this place all the time. I still give it 4 stars out of 5. Management at least tries to make it a pleasant experience. The only bad thing besides the panhandlers is they dont always have what you want because its not available for them tp sell at 99.9 cents

Store is ok, but used to be the best, cause everything like containers were nice size and now day by day it is going smaller.

This place is very run-down and doesnt have enough employees. There are opened containers of chips and snacks. Also the last time I went here there was a cookie dough mix that was overdue. Id have to check every item before purchasing. Overall I suggest other dollar stores close by due to the lack of quality and hopefully they will improve this place.

This 99 cent store is almost always stocked with useful food staples. I am rarely disappointed when trying to find items such as ketchup, tooth paste, Ivory soap, or paper products. If you shop on the weekends then there may be a shortage of their popular items but during the week I have always been able to purchase what I am trying to find.

Daily needs are fulfilled by genuine priced commodities. This store is spacious to shop with kids. Customer service is good.

I am a regular customer at the 99 cent store today I had the most worst customer service experience. Got some glass bottles I asked the young lady that was ringing me up if I could have some newspaper or paper bags to roll them up so they wont break and she was very rude.

Wouldnt recommend shopping here unless you can handle people ringing up your items in a sloppy manor, than throw them at you. Theres a difference between fast paced working, than having a ghetto,rude, unprofessional attitude while being a checker. Half of the checkers are so RUDE. I know its usually busy and fast paced work environment, but when they throw the bag at you and throw the receipts at you too thats NOT OK. If this keeps happening like its been for months Ill be taking down their names and getting a hold of the owner and telling him how the manager still lets these rude woman work there. The manager needs to fire a couple of these woman with the attitude, retail is obviously not for them considering them throwing your bag and then getting rude when you confront them about it.

I shop here often. The security guard was rude. Started following me around the store. Made me feel very uncomfortable to say the least. The cashier was rude. What happened to customer service. Seems like harassment more than anything. This was in the evening time.

Mostly good deals on name and unknown brands. They carry fresh produce as well as frozen. Ive found many USA products as well as items from the other American countries on our continent. Producrs from European and Middle East countries are well represented. Of course there are offerings from China and other Asian comtries. Most items are $ 0.99 but there are some less and a few more.

I find great deals all the time. The grocery area is my favorite, the produce is always fresh.

Descent selection of produce but not always available and fresh. I guess timing of shopping has a lot to do with av availability of certain fresh produce.
