I had gone to L&M before, for a smog check, as they offered a great price and everyone seemed so friendly and helpful. I used to have a maintenance package from Audi, but now that its beyond the time/mileage of the maintenance plan, I was afraid of what the dealership would charge. I brought my 2011 Audi A5 here for basic oil change service. I was told that my car needed a brake fluid flush, cooling system flush, and air filters. Sure enough, I checked my records, and it was absolutely time to have those services. Their prices were reasonable, and they often send out coupons that give discounts on their services. Im very pleased with their service, and its worth the drive from where I am in Dove Canyon to get to their shop.

I had such a great experience at L&M. As a new resident to the area from out of state, I was in search of a reputable, smog inspection location and after doing some research, I found L&M. From the first phone call I had with them, to scheduling an appointment, and to the day of service, every step was pleasant. The price I was given over the phone for the inspection, which was a very reasonable price, was the price I paid on the day of service; in other words, there were no surprises. And not only was the customer service I received awesome and transparent, it was also personable. As a newbie to the area, Brian shared with me really great recommendations on local attractions to checkout; and he went above and beyond in doing a courtesy tire and brake check on my SUV. In doing so, he quashed some of the misinformation I had received from the dealership, saving me from wasting unnecessary time and money on services/part replacements that my vehicle does not currently need. I greatly appreciated Brian being so kind and honest. I highly recommend L&M, and I will be a returning customer for future auto service needs.

I went in for an oil change, but when they inspected my car for other issues, I’m so happy they found issues that needed immediate repairs. They did quick work, and kept communication open the entire time. They are very kind here, and even offered to drive me back home! I am very happy I went to L&M instead of anywhere else!

Needed a windshield replacement. L&M gave me an excellent quote over the phone (as usual). Job was finished before the expected time. The final bill was $20 less than the quote! In fact, this is not the first time my actual bill was less than what was quoted. Been trusting L&M for many years now and will continue to do so for many more to come!

Great service! Car was towed in because of a dead battery. AAA mechanic came to L&M to change battery, since that is who we bought it from a MONTH AGO! AAA/Sea Country Towing mechanic WAS NOT professional but persistent. He kept telling me information I had NO idea about. Like he had the upper hand speaking auto lingo to a little woman. L&M Mechanic Emerson came by to see how progress was going. Convetsation got heated between the men, then AAA guy starts to get rude AND EVEN POKES the L&M mechanic Emerson! ( What are we 5 years old!)Emerson and Mike were very professional with the whole process. Calming me down with the rude AAA guy and helping me understand what is wrong with my car. Unfortunately the process took longer than I thought, due to a different AAA guy coming to replace the battery. Have to say, JR from Sea Country, was VERY helpful inserting the new battery.

Theyve been taking care of my cars since they were VIP. I go back to them because they are honest and thorough. Theyve diagnosed and repaired several difficult issues with my aging Mercedes. The price is fair and much less than youre going to pay at a dealer. I recommend them to anyone in the area. Its hard to find good mechanics. This shop is the real deal.

My parents have been going to L & M since I was a child. I recently had some catastrophic issues with my s2k and I obviously took it to Charlie and his crew as my parents always talked about their speed, superior customer service and outrageous mechanical ability. I can safely say their reputation holds perfectly; my car was dead for a while due to the scale of the issues and I was kept informed of what was happening at every step. The amount of care and passion each person there has for helping their customers and for fixing vehicles is magnificent. Amongst all the options here at Lake Forest, this is probably the best & the finest. The owner Charlie personally looks into maintenance and service. The manufacturer recommended maintenance was carried out in a more organized and professional way with complete transparency at about half the cost for my Honda Civic. This facility provides a complimentary car wash, pick up & drop ( as a matter of fact Charlie drove to and fro to my residence ), the delivery was on time. The chip in my windshield was repaired as if it was a Midas touch. I am thoroughly impressed.

I was referred to L&M for my many car repairs. I was really impressed with the diagnostic report that was texted to me and was given options on the work to be done based on priority and within budget. It was also nice to have a loaner car for the day. I am really happy with the job Charles and Ken did!

They told me on the phone that they would give me a very good price and get my car fixed quickly. It took them 3 weeks to work on my car and they didnt even fix the glove compartment and the door like they said they would. I took it to another auto body after I picked up my car from L&M because I still needed to get the rest of my car fixed and I asked the new place to give me an estimate, they told me L&M over charged me by $300. Thanks L&M, Im 24 years old and have like no money in my bank account. I am never taking my car to L&M Automotive again.

Genuine owner and pleasant staff. Charlie (owner) and Ken have been very helpful and accommodating each time I come by. Each time I visit for a service or troubleshooting a problem, I never feel like Im being up-sold extra things that my car may or may not need. Trust is a very crucial factor in the automotive service industry and L and M has earned mine.

My first time to right a review, ever! Do not be fooled by the high review of this shop. They are over charging and will take advantage of you. I only went there for oil change, but they charged me $200 because they did a lot of things which I did not authorized. When I drop off my car they had me signed a paper without an itemized pricing and since I was in a hurry that time I did not read it because I thought it was just a standard agreement etc... But when I picked up my car, they listed a lot of things and put pricing in it when in fact I did not authorize it. But since the paper showed my signature (they re-printed the doc I signed), I dont have a choice. They were rude too. I noticed when I scrolled this page reviews, there were actually 3 or more people below having the same situation as mine. I will never go back and will not recommend this shop.

I had been referred by a friend to L&M Auto after I had taken my car to a local Acura dealer to get an estimate on fixing a power window, I was given a quote for $863.00 to have the work done.When I contacted L&M to check pricing for the same work, I was given a quote for around $495.00, I of course was stunned by their price.I was not only impressed with the price but with the friendliness and professionalism that Ken exhibited on the phone.Once at the shop, Ken asked if I needed a ride somewhere as they would need my car until 5:00 p.m. I declined as I plannned to walk around the area and shop for a while.Around 3:00 p.m., Ken called and said my car was ready and did I need a ride back to the shop, I declined as I was just up the road at Starbucks.Once back at the shop, Ken informed me that my bill was $439.00, which was even better than the $495.00 he had quoted.I had asked Ken what other service work they provided and was shown a list of services. Due to my overall experience, I certainly will return to L&M Auto for any and all service work my car needs.I also will be and already have referred others to L&M auto.L&M Auto has gained my trust as they displayed honesty and integrity.Many thanks,Skeet

Excellent, professional, and buttoned up service.I had a 1986 Jaguar that needed smog clearance.It took them all day to get it passed. They didnt giveup until it passed. It never ran better after the work.

They were quick, and efficient. They gave me $40 off because they couldnt get my car done the same day, and I had to take an Uber home. They also fixed my squeaky belts (loose fan belts) and a small cosmetic issue on the rear hatch of the car (Psion XB) for FREE! Courteous service, knowledgeable personnel.

I brought my 2003 VW to L & M to see if they could diagnose and fix a problem with an illusive exhaust leak entering the cabin, they were referred to me by Allen Tire in Lake Forest.Within one day I got a call from Mike stating what a nice car it was for its age and an estimate of $950 to fix the problem. I agreed to it. They had found many oil leaks, rusted spark plugs and wires and fixed those plus I approved the replacement for many other parts of opportunity while they had much of the engine broken down.I got the car back after 2 weeks and $2,600 to find that not only had the original problem not been fixed but the engine cover cracked and the top of the manifold badly scraped.They stated that a delivery person ran over the engine cover and they could not find a replacement for it.They had the car another 2 weeks to continue troubleshooting and replaced a leaking exhaust manifold gasket, the cause of the original problem, which added $930 to the bill. At that point I received a printout of all of the remaining faulty error codes.During this 6 week period they did provide a loaner car for one week as well as fix a separate problem with my Audi not running by changing the plugs, coil, and ignition wires for a very reasonable $265. It is running properly. Much appreciated. It is the only reason Im giving a 3-star rating and not 2. I am not feeling #justdrivehappy .Mike and Charlie please correct me if I have any of these facts wrong.With my head hanging low, wallet empty, a cracked engine cover, and a new noise coming from the AC I went straight to the nearest VW dealer to see if they could finish the job. What would you do in my situation?Please check my other reviews as I never give below 5 stars. I do see other great reviews here so I pray that this is the exception, and gets buried under more positive notes. I wish all of you the best of luck with your car repairs.Update: Update: While they took responsibility for permanently damaging the engine cover, saying their delivery guy ran over it (why it was on the ground for it to get run over in the first place is beyond comprehension), they never offered to replace it. One more thing, instead of replacing the wiring harnesses for the headlamps, which would have been very inexpensive, they attempted to repair the wires by covering them with liquid plastic, which wore off in less then a year causing shorts over the entire lighting system. Not good. Money and time wasted. Took my car straight to the dealer who knows my car and knew how to fix it properly. Good luck out there.

Took my car for smog check yesterday. And when I showed the discount flyer, they responded that they are not equipped to do that type of smog test which is the most common!Then I asked for a quote to replace my brake pads and instead of giving me a straight answer like Chevrolet dealer did over the phone, they tried to make it sound like its a big deal! Then I reiterated, all I am asking for is: how much you charge to replace the brake pads! I never got a response and the owner came in and was rude to me and physically threatening!!! I almost called 911 but then I prefered to walk away. I had surgery the day before and it was not worth getting upset with rude and unprofessional people or even get hurt as he was trying to provoke me to get a fight started. I was not interested in his game.I took my car to Amato tire and break in laguna hills and they changed the breaks very quickly at a very good price and very friendly. I gighly recommend Amato. They have wifi, coffee... and very friendly and professional.I saw a bunch of good reviews here but make no mistake. This place doesnt like smart shopper. So if you are willing to overpay, they will definitely give you a 5 star service.

Wish I had one of the newer cars out there . . . but I dont. Charlie and the crew at L&M continue to provide SUPERIOR troubleshooting - much better than dealerships have been able to provide for my 03 Focus SVT and 09 MazdaSpeed3.
