I do not have my wires crossed. I have been building hot rods for 35yrs. Prior to that, my father, brothers and I raced circle track my entire life, he won over 70 feature events in his life. Mr. Frank claims he is tired of building motors for hot-rodders and will stick to race engines. You would think if you saw yourself as a race engine builder, a street hot-rod motor would be simple. Bought a 454 BBC, roller, granted a good price, but it doesnt change the expectation for reliability. Just before break in, I luckily noticed that the motor was missing a Freeze Plug, and two drain plugs!! After breaking the motor in, it began making quite a bit of valve noise, brought it to Larry Frank and his answer was not to worry about it. As it grew worse, I removed the valve covers and found two anti wear caps in the valve tray. Luckily none of them slipped into the motor. After a little investigation, the caps did not fit the valves used to build the motor with, I had to call Howards and there suggestion was to remove them...period. Additionally not one valve was adjusted correctly. So, having called Precision, Frank wasnt interested in servicing the motor at all, and did everything possible to avoid doing so. Now, after about 400 miles, both head gaskets are leaking, passenger side leaks coolant and the drivers side leaks oil. The shop where my car is at had him come and look. His answer, I told the customer to re-torque the head bolts....This conversation never happened. When I did check the head bolt torque, not one bolt was torqued to BBC specs. I now have to pull the motor to fix the leaks as the heads are studded to the block., I will have the heads checked and potentially surfaced. I fear what I will find next. So, if you are considering precision, I will tell you there was absolutely no precision whatsoever with the first and last motor I will ever buy from them. Careless inattention to detail could of cost me a bundle with these folks. Avoid at all costs.

I spent $10k on a new motor/rebuild and it ran amazing in my boat for 10-15 hours until it blew up. Sucked in a valve cruising at 4,000 rpm’s. Now the motor is completely torn apart and I’m missing another summer while dishing out big $$. I did notify Larry and he offered his condolences but no warranty fix.

My 4 year old son Raylan loves racing more than anything and loves Kris Karnish almost as much as he loves Racing. Thank you Precision for sponsoring Kris and making it possible for him to hit that track and do what he loves to do. Because of you my son gets to go watch Kris race and hang out in his car. In those moments he is not the cancer kid just a little boy doing what he loves watching Kris race. Thank you #CauswKidsGetCancerTo #RaylanJason #CancerFighter #Retinoblastoma #OneEyeDontCare #ThisBoyLovesRacing

Took my VW 2332 engine that i needed rebuilt and done right with no real budget in mind, just wanting the engine perfect and no oil leaks. I had brand new heads made from DRD racing and my piston deck height was uneven and this is why i wanted a professional to build it right. After talking with Precision they told me they would rebuild the engine, let me know what internals i had and set a proper deck height. Well... After i received my engine a week later and asking them if this engine was ready to run with timing set and my new spark plugs were properly gapped, i installed my engine and tried to start it. 1. Timing 180 degrees off which was set by Precision. 2. Spark plug gaps were uneven and less that .15, not even checked and was lied to when they said they gapped the plugs when i specifically asked. 3. Motor oil leaking massively through both valve covers which were even loose. I fixed the valve cover leaks and adjusted everything that should have been done when rebuilt and ran my engine through the break in. Now, i have engine oil leaks though other areas of the screws from the front block and left rear engine. I live in Orange County and tried communicating with the company, but all they do is talk a good game and make excuses. I gave them no budget and one attempt to rebuild my engine and they failed miserably, this is why i would not waste anymore of my time taking the drive back to Murrieta for them to maybe fix something that should have never even been there to begin with and never the less my time finding and trying to fix their mistakes already. I really hope people read this review and will re think using this company and try to find a better quality shop so this situation doesnt happen to you. Invoice for the
