I’ve always been very satisfied with this store. I always find what I need. My main reason to visit the store is because I really like the hot deli section that I frequent often.Everyone has always been friendly & helpful.Someone mentioned that the music stinks. I totally disagree. When I’ve visited the store, it’s has always been playing mariachi music which I love. How can you not like our heritage music???

My family loves Cardenas because of this Cardenas (on Mission Trail in Lake Elsinore). This is the first Cardenas weve ever been to (there were none in the area we moved from; wee moved to Lake Elsinore about 3 years ago) and its very close to where we live. Great deals on fruits and vegetables (and fresh produce)! And we get our ingredients for enchiladas and tacos here. Lots of parking, nice employees, clean store and super convenient for us. Highly recommended!

Do not buy meat here.!!! Had a terrible experience yesterday. Was sold stinky meat. It went straight to the trash. Didnt even bother to returnt it ., wont shop there anymore. 🤢🤮

The review that I am leaving is specifically for Cardenas tamales. I have purchased tamales from them on many different occasions and on a scale of 1 to 10 they were consistently between a 3 and 4. Yesterday my wife decided to give them a try again, what a mistake. Today I brought some in to work and let my co workers try them. The responses I received were, not fit for human consumption, I would not feed these to my dog and some of the worst tamales I have ever eaten . Management I hope your listening, they were beyond bad and for the price you are charging you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I came to buy a cake and after standing at the bakery for 20 minutes, Im told the baker went to lunch and there is no one covering or able to help me. Absolutely unacceptable! Cardenas makes enough profitability to be able to hire enough staff. The supposed supervisor Jose said that the store manager was also at lunch and that there is no one to help me at the moment or just wait for the baker to come back. Horrible customer service. Also, a fly on the displayed cake!

Dirty, slow, rude, bad quality meat. Dont ever expect more than one register open. Careful with food, have heard from workers themselves that food is DAYS old.

Gave it 1 star because is the least in order to post a review. This particular store here in kake elsinore is total rip off store they overcharge for everything make up their own rules as they go and not to mention their customer service is the worst. As you enter the store there is a person checking to make sure you dont bring any grocery bag into the store. So your pretty much forced to buy their bags. Which by the way went up in price.

This store is super clean! The people are extremely friendly even to us gringos. Lol. This was our first time here. We had a mistake made with the meat department and didn’t realize it until we got home. Called and spoke with Javier the manager of the meat department. He was extremely sorry. When we went back he made it all right plus compensated us because of our inconvenience which made us a continued customer. Congratulations to Javier for his outstanding customer service!! Highly recommended this store.

This guy Gilberto at Cardenas needs to attend a pupil management class, whom ever made him a manager needs to have his head checked. Poor customers and employees who come shop and work there as well.

Nice place to get groceries

I bought a package of chicken last night, and when I started driving back home I noticed that something was smelling very bad, when I got home I found out that it was the chicken, what a horrible smell, how a market can sell something so awful.

This store is horrible and the manager in charge is horrible as well very disrepectful and careless staff. And the bakery is the worst DO NOT Order your cakes here very careless and if you dont inspect your cake before you leave the door they will do absolutely nothing for you that packaging they use is very cheep and yoir cake will spill ruined my nieces birthday and had to buy another cake dont take the risk yourself take my warning the breads are good but cakes the worst instead find a more dedicated local bakery that cares and will take responsibility for their work after this incident a friend recommended Twinss_bakery that is there instagram in lake elsinore check then out because I will definitely be ordering my next cake from them I have no doubt they are dedicated and will take responsibility for their work and satisfy the customer. The people at cardenas market are very careless and rude but it makes sense judging by their managment ride & careless 0 stars unfortunately thats not a option do not buy here ulsess you want your cake ruined and horrible service if you wanna see for yourself all you have to do is walk in the door and you will regret it. Stater bros is right across the street to just go there to avoid your day or cake from being ruined

Love there produce

I have been to Cardenas in lake Elsinore. They have great prices on there fruits and vegetables. There employees Jorge M is a rude cashier and some employees followed behind you.

Honestly it looks like a roach nest. It has a really dusty dingy look about it inside and it is always very understocked even before covid. Its always a gamble if youre gonna find what you need here. Great for tamale ingredients when they actually have them available. Never once shopped here and felt like I got everything I needed always have to go somewhere else to complete my shopping.

Rude workers they need to learn manners ALL OF THEM

You have to know when to come. I find Hispanic traditional groceries, candies and spices. The ranchera meat is amazing but I rarely get it from here. For meats I shop somewhere else.

Its a good market to pick up good fruits and vegetables. Very reasonable prices on produce,ECT. Look for bargains weekly.

Theyre doing a good job making sure youre safe by regulating the amount of people in the store and giving people the proper amount of space so if youre worried about shopping here just do your part and know theyre doing theirs. And the guy outside regulating the amount of customers is also making sure your shopping carts are clean so A+ for this location.

One star because this place is a major accident waiting to happen! They only have one front door open! Thats a major fire hazard! If theres ever a fire or emergency the customers are in major danger! Also, they clean the carts on your way in after youve already been touching them!

This store might be for everyine else but for us it did not jave what we were looking for.We came here looking for Pollo Asado and Carne Asada there was nothing in stock. The prepackaged meat section smells like fermaldehyde and there was one door that was opened making it a hazard. I will not be coming here again.

I like the market. The workers are friendly and most do speak English. They are known for there awesome vegetables on sale.. pretty good prices and the fruits and veges always look decent.Usually its pretty fast checking out at the register (unless its a holiday) and parking is pretty good.

They should pay attention to the meat department. They have zero sense of urgency on helping the customers. They price things incorrectly. I just bought a boneless chicken breast and it has bones. The produce, specifically the greens, romaine, green and red leaf lettuce, and mint to name a few were rotten and wilted. Most of it looked only fit to feed pigs and some of it was not even fit for pigs as it was so black and mushy. This location looks very run down and dirty. Staff looked depressed to be there.Edit: I wanted to add the the Murrieta location is much better as fruit and veggies are good quality, service is amazing, and it looks clean and organized.

The cheese is the best part of coming to the store...Yeah, I dont know about their meat. But they have great deals for produce. The place could be cleaner. Its a good store for produce definitely. Went to get some shrimp from the meat department. Ive been waiting here for 30 minutes and still 6 more numbers to go. They should consider having someone just for seafood. There is an excessive amount of customers still waiting and management only has 3 staff members working. Everyone is frustrated and I can tell workers are stressed as well and working fast to serve everyone. Management needs to step it up this is always a problem not the first time.

Thought I could save time by paying my gas bill here but it was crowded so I could have driven to The Gas Co. in Corona in about the same time it took me to drive here and wait in line. Crazy part is the wait isnt the reason for the poor rating. Im pretty patient when it comes to lines.Im big on customer service so the simple fact that the clerk could use a refresher course in customer service or Just plain old human kindness is the reason for my 1 star. A simple hello or any other greeting would be nice. Make eye contact when you speak to your customer. And for the LOVE of all things good, PLEASE dont throw the pen and huff because your customer asked to borrow one. I will not patronize this market for a while...If ever.

When I feel nostalgic for my home land, Cardenas offers that little something that puts those feelings at ease.

I like the deals cardenas in general has but its frustrating that some of the workers in lake elsinore only speak spanish so cant answer my questions and the meat department has puddles of blood dripping out of all of the packages. The perris location is more professional

This store sucks the manager didnt catch her name she is Very rude. We bought some tamales took them home got ready to eat them and they were so hard and dried out. We choked those down . Went the next day with a receipt and the 3 we had left explained what happend . She gave only wanted to replace 6 when I had a total of 9 . Sorry cardenas the customer is always right . Manager had no right to give us attitude .

I went to buy some special meat you have on your weekly Adds today and you did not have the meat available when I asked one of your managers said that if it is out is out that is a poor customers services, I am sure if I said that at my work place I will be fire, however I am sure most of your customers does not complaint of a poor services you do And PROBABLY you do not even care about this.

People need to pay more attention to what they are doing when they are working. I keep getting over charged and its hard to help them do their job when you have kids. They are getting paid therefore they should focus more on what they are doing than talking with each other.

We went in for the carnitas tacos, but stayed for the groceries. The tacos were excellent and the refried beans were perfect. All the other items in the deli area looked great, also. The grocery store was standard latin fare, but the produce was exceptional.

I always grocery shop here. Great stuff here. They accept WIC an EBT (snap/cash). They close at 11:00 p.m for the summer of 2018.

Ok first I was excited to get a big Mexican market like this one, but everything change with time I dont get any meat because I dont think is a good quality plus it stinks really bad when you pass by the meat department, then Mexican bread its good if its fresh from same day but after a day its so hard to eat it, and sometimes is better thant another I dont know if they change bakery guy or why its not consistent, the only reason a put 2 starts is because of the cornflour for tortillas and the vegetables that I get. Other than that its just a bad store.

The sweet bread is not that good and they have poor selection of pan dulce. If you dont eat the pan dulce the same day, it gets hard and then I have to toss it. And this dont happen just during winter time.I went to the meat department, there were only 2 butchers (1 male & 1 female)the male was on the phone and they were both pretty slow. The one who took care of me was the girl.I did NOT liked the fact that she was sick and she was still working and the bad part of this is that she wiped her nose with part her hand and part her cloth and she did NOT even washed her hands.She grabbed the meat I asked for but I just walked away.I work for the Health Department that situations like these..are UNACCEPTABLE!

First of all when I went inside, the casheirs greet me in Spanish, I greet them in English because I dont speak Spanish, and they got offended,and they treat me very bad and rude, the fruits and vegetables not fresh, the chicken and the meat has very stinky smell and has days in the display refrigerator and leaks blood, and you will stand in line for over 20 minutes, because the casheirs very slow, and they dont care about the customers and again very rude, I went there for three times and I have the same rude unprofessional treatment.Never ever shop from that dirty unclean place.

Lines were short at all the stores I visted and the staff were super friendly.

The store was very nice, somewhat clean with the exception of dirty towels on the ground catching dripping water from the butcher section, and a rude gal working behind the butchers counter. I could automatically tell she was annoyed when my fiance was ordering meat and when she would hand over the wrapped meat to him, and said in a scarcastic tone is that all my fiance says no can I also have 1 pound of fresh cheese please, she giggles and rolls her eyes! And proceeds to tell the guy next to her that she needs to go on break and needs to get covered! The gal was weari g a black sweater with glasses on. Didnt quite catch her name but I can tell this isnt the first time shes been rude to a customer. She seemed to comfortable doing that! Other then that, if it werent for that rude lady at the butcher section, Id give this place 5 stars.

I went through the express line because I only had 3 items, the customer in front of me only have one item several cases of water with a customer that was in front of him add more items and she should have had in the express line. Several minutes past and the cashier had and scanned one item! Cashier looked at me I put my hands up like whats up, pictures of will be done in a few minutes. After waiting several more minutes I got frustrated and just left! Terrible terrible customer service!
