I purchased my wedding dress from GNB and it was stunning! It required quite a few alterations and their alterations team was patient and performed quality work. Im thrilled with the final product!

I got my dress before covid had started the staff was nice. just took pictures this weekend 8/23 (first time wearing the dress anywhere) and the dress completely fell apart, right when i put it on for pictures sequences were coming off left and right. i also got built in padding in the dress...and the padding was absolutely noticeable and was sewed in terribly. for the ladies who do pay extra for the padding in the dress try it on before leaving...

I would first like to say that I have received nothing but amazing service from the wonderful folks at the Golden Needle. Macy and Ericka have always been friendly and professional, and helped me with every question and concern I have had. The customer service I have received from them is truly 5 star worthy. In regards to the reviews in the past 48 hours; I personally received a phone call from the disgruntled ex manager (Ericka, who was let go for various reasons) asking me to give Golden Needle a bad review on her behalf. I truly saw a different side to her after seeing what measures she would go through to hurt her own grandparents. As a professional adult, I could never participate in this childish behavior. To ruin the reputation of a beloved local business over someone not getting their way is very alarming to the character of someone I thought I once knew. I was also asked to bring up the race issue in my review. As someone with an African American husband, I have never been treated less than top notch service when we go to Golden Needle together, however I was told it would look better to the community and make the store look worse. These people that are backing up a juvenile, upset ex employee are extremely ridiculous and clearly have nothing better to do with their time. To hurt elderly people who are in their late 80s and have worked their whole life to build this business, is deplorable. Her own grandparents at that. You should be ashamed.

LOVE MACY WELLS! she was my bridal consultant when I was looking for my wedding dress. she was amazing with answering all my questions. she would send me pictures of dresses she thought I would like and would try on for me (because we were the same size) but she truly helped me find the dress of my dreams and MADE sure I got what I wanted.Honestly everyone at the Golden Needle is amazing. Definitely beats the other chain bridal salons.

If I could offer no stars that is what my experience was like today. I accompanied my daughter to shop for a wedding dress, she had a confirmed appointment, and it was the absolute worst experience ever! They appeared to be extremely over booked..we were told to pick out whatever dresses she wanted to try on...they put her in a back corner of the store with no consultant to assist her....after the 2nd dress with no assistance we decided to leave. We will not be back. If you are looking for an awesome experience go to OML those ladies are extremely attentive and took care to offer a wonderful appointment.

In the past I have heard good things about your bridal shop but we had a bad experience today. I made an appointment for today, Sunday January 26th 2020 at 1:00pm, to look at vests and ties for my fiancé and his groomsmen and also get them fitted. We walked in and a girl met us at the counter. She stated, “I am going to be completely upfront with you, I’m the only one here today. I’ve only been working here two weeks and I don’t know how to do measurements. There was supposed to be two other girls here to help but no one wanted to come in. There is a girl arriving in about thirty minutes if you would like to wait”. I told her that’s fine we can just look at vests and ties while we wait. About 10 minutes later she comes back to us and tells us the girl that was supposed to be on her way isn’t coming. She apologized to us and asked if we could come back another day. I told her we live an hour and a half away so it’s hard for us to find time to come back so we left. I could tell she was genuinely apologetic for our experience. Management and her co-workers should be ashamed that she was left by herself to manage the entire store even though she had only been working two weeks. Employees are the face of a business and this definitely left a bad impression on us. Managers and employees should work as a team and not leave someone to fend for themselves when they don’t have full training. It is unacceptable that I was even able to make an appointment for today when there wasn’t going to be anyone available to help us. Employee and customer scheduling needs improvement.

This is the second daughter and third dress from this store in two years. This store is well worth the 45 minute drive. The dress selection is greater than the impression from the small store front. Always a crowd so be patient, its worth it. The staff know the dresses, the designers and the prices. Dads, they have a list of which dresses they sold for each prom, so they wont sell a repeat dress for the same prom. Who knew?They could use a few more comfy chairs, cause trying on dresses takes a few minutes. :)

First time there was great. My visit last month not so much. The dress I ordered is not what I ordered and I cant fit in it but they wont exchange it for store credit or a refund. Bow I have a $350 dress that I cant wear...

They did a really great job at sizing the dresses!EDIT: 4 months ago I posted a great 5 star review for them. This was solely based off of the discount we received if we left a review. So if you see these “great” reviews then just know they are probably only to get the discount and they are written before you even get the dress. I am in a bridel party with a few other girls and this was by far the WORST experience ever. The girls who work here have major attitudes when THEY are the ones who size the dresses incorrectly. Every single one of the 5 other bridesmaids with me have had issues with their dresses. They will continue FOR WEEKS incorrectly altering dresses, until there is ONE week left before the wedding and then all of the sudden it only takes them 45 minutes to correctly fix it. If you are coming here because of their free alteration guarantee then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! They will continue messing your dress up more and more until you have to get an attitude of your own. I would never in a million years recommend coming here. I hope this will help and save some of y’all from making the same mistakes my party did.

The Golden Needle is an okay place. It has a pretty good selection but the sizes are limited. I normally wear a 6 or an 8 in dresses and this place had little to offer in that area. Price is also an area where I might choose a different place over this one. The prices are a little ludicrous. New dresses are over priced. Alterations however are reasonable and well done. We came to this shop twice in the same month. The first time was for bridesmaid dresses where we gave a cost limit and our sizes and the first thing the woman brought us was dresses 50 bucks out of our limit. Davids Bridal is cheaper. The second occasion was for my little sisters prom. We got the dress at Davids Bridal and got alterations here. This was a good visit. I guess the place is a coin toss.

FYI: “THE GOLDEN NEEDLE” everyone is referring to is the store ERICKA managed and SHE made it what it is today. She’s no longer there and without her it sadly will FAIL.This bridal shop was always the best solely because they had the best store manager who bent over backwards for her brides and always made them feel amazing! Ericka was truly best in the business. It’s now managed by different people and Ericka is no longer there which makes using this company a colossal waste of your money and time.

The Golden Needle is a PHENOMENAL dress shop with a FAMILY oriented feel. 20 years ago I got married and they tweaked my MOTHER’s bridal gown (which I wore) and they designed from scratch my bridesmaids dresses. The BEST DAY of my life was made complete by their EXPERTISE. I will ALWAYS shop and give my business to THE GOLDEN NEEDLE.

Its not a horrible experience, but I dont think Ive had many good ones here! Everyone has airs of being a little bit snooty and generally not very helpful. I think only once it was clear that I was going to actually be giving them some of my money did they decide to be vested in my experience.

The Golden Needle is the BEST choice when it comes to finding the PERFECT dress for any occasion. The consultants are more than willing to go above and beyond to satisfy. Have always had the BEST experience there. Everyone should shop THE GOLDEN NEEDLE!

I’ve just recently heard the news of Ericka being fired from the Golden Needle, she was the truly the glue that held it all together and the face of the company! I will no longer do any business with them as NO ONE can compare or compete with the level of professionalism, quality and true heart Ericka brought to this store! I would advise everyone else to shop elsewhere.

These girls were absolutely amazing in helping my granddaughter find her dream wedding dress! I cant think them enough for all of their help and highly recommend Golden Needle Bridal. The staff was kind and really knew what they were talking about, not to mention accommodating! I could not imagine going elsewhere!

Bought a dress here and had it altered. They messed up the alteration, tried to have it fixed by them and it was still not right, looked like a paper dress. The seam was crooked. Their attitude is aweful, and they have the best seamstress. Apparently not...asked for a refund since the dress can not be worn now. They said no we dont do refunds on things that were alteredeven though it was their fault.Will not be doing business here and will definitely let others know.Heard from others they had the same problem. They got their dress altered here and had to take elsewhere to get fixed.Sad this is how they do business...

I got my dress at Davids Bridal, but wanted it altered at a local shop. Unfortunately, the alterations were not done right and one side is bunched. They also postponed the time for me to pick the dress up three times even though I had explained when they set the appointment that I had something to do that evening and that they wanted me to pick it up the day before I needed my dress. Needless to say between the rudeness of one employee, bad alterations, delays and bad time management. I will not be using this place again. I did appreciate the sympathy of one worker, but her understanding and niceness isnt enough for me to return there again.

I had an amazing experience at the Golden Needle. My consultant Macy was very attentive, and found me the PERFECT wedding dress. The staff was very professional. Macy even helped me order a custom dress for my engagement pictures.

Ericka, who is the manager for Golden Needle is the sole reason for my business and support. She has always gone out of her way to make that business shine, she made sure that everything I needed was taken care promptly. She is the only person there that I would recommend for seeking assistance. However, I just learned that she is not there anymore as the manager, so I will be taking my needs elsewhere and recommend others to do the same.

Going to Golden Needle was such an easy and enjoyable experience. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the products they have. Kelsie was a great help and was able to help me pick the perfect dress.

I am a licensed party and wedding planner for 15 years. Ive seen many bridal store that were small family owned and operated and this by far is the worst. I spoke with 3 families that wanted plan a large-nice wedding (parties of 17-24) and I was gonna recommend The Golden Needle, after the owner, Erica (with the face paint) lied to some friends, I sent all 3 and the upcoming brides to Davids Bridal, in Gainesville FL, They were cheaper, better quality, larger selection, and very honest and upfront people. The Golden Needle, They are horrible. The prices are too high, the quality of the dresses suck and not very many dresses to choose from. I would never recommend this place again.

I loved this store so much and Erika helped me pick out my wedding dress and another dress there! Now that she’s not there anymore I will never go back! I don’t know how the people there can be so clueless and not realize that by not having her there they are gonna lose all of there business!

Went to the Golden Needle with my 14 year old to get a pair of his pants hemmed. I walked in and the young woman looked me in that face while at the cash register and then walked off. She then returned to ask if she could help me. Before I could tell her what I was there for, another young woman walked up and said to her Grandma said it would be 4-6 weeks. I then asked the young woman if I could get my sons pants hemmed. She replied, I am sorry it would be 4-6 weeks. I replied for one pair of pants. She yes this is prom season. I replied, Are you serious? The young woman stated I am sorry. She made me feel as if I was not as important as her other customers and that she did not want my business, by giving me an outrageous or out of the question time frame. I work in the professional public sector and I will rate the golden needle as a zero every time I know someone needs an alteration. The old man that use to be there would have gone above and beyond to show his appreciation. The young people in the golden needle value nothing but thick make-up on their face and attempting to look pretty. However, they need to keep in mind that beauty comes from the inside out.

I have gotten over 3 dresses from here and all of them turned out perfect! Every dress came in on time and the alterations that had to be done turned out phenomenal! I got a dress from another dress shop in Gainsville and it was a disaster. The people that work there are so friendly and went out of their way to help me.

I first met the wonderful Golden Needle Girls at the florida bridal expo in gainesville. They are all so professional and sweet! They helped me set up an appointment and made notes of the dress and styles I was interested in. Before my appointment they called me to confirm and ask if I had found any other dresses I was interested in. When I arrived they greeted me and had waters and mints for me and my entire party. Hannah and Macy were helping me and answered all of my questions and helped me found my dream dress! We also picked out bridesmaids and tuxs. The girls have been extremely helpful through out this entire process! I went and looked around else where and no one else had the amount of inventory they had. Also all of their gowns are priced under 2500 which made shopping less stressful. They return all messages and emails very quickly. Alterations are also free when you buy here which is a HUGE bonus! Cant wait to continue to shop with them. Everyone should come shop with the Golden Needle Girls!

It’s really a shame that the management has now changed. Ericka was the only reason I ever went to Golden Needle because her knowledge, expertise and heart surpassed anyone else in the business. I would not recommend a store or company that treats employees as poorly as she was treated.

As Preteen Miss Olustee 2018 it only made sense that I won wearing a GOLDEN NEEDLE gown. The way I felt in the gown ultimately made me carry myself in a way that showed the judges what I had to offer. Thanks to The Golden Needle for making me a WINNER!

Super helpful and sweet people! We had a problem with my dress and they gave me a refund and offered me another dress with a discount for the confusion. The dress problem was not there fault but they handled it with kindness and sympathy. Definitely would recommend them to people!

Golden Needle has provided professional and quality service to myself and my family for the last 24 years; from alterations to my moms wedding gown for me, bridesmaids dresses and tuxes for my wedding party, tuxes for my sons proms, prom dresses for my daughter, and other alteration needs, I have always been pleased with their competent and courteous team as well as their variety of inventory.

They took me at the last minute and had my dress altered within an hour! I had to be in a wedding that very day and they saved me from looking like a fool at a super affordable rate!

This place is ridiculous. They are extremely unhelpful - we made an appointment and stood around for 35 minutes before anyone came to the room...which we had to seek out. Dont plan on taking things there if you need something important tailored. Huge disappointment.

Payed $512 for a two piece prom dress made by Sherri Hill and I picked it up with makeup stains on it and the top is falling apart like its already been altered before. Why charge someone the price for a brand new dress and it isnt in brand new condition!!!! I have family that alters dresses so I was going to get it altered by family and not them and they give it to me looking terrible. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY!!!!! And extremely unprofessional on their part. Who sells a $500 dress in that condition. Make sure you throughly examine anything you buy there and point out flaws to fix because they dont take it upon themselves to be professionals and make sure the dress is in good condition.

Horrible experience with golden needle. Was in a wedding recently and none of our dresses fit. Then the tuxes ended up being wrong. It’s very aggravating paying there expensive prices then nothing being right! I will never go here again and I would advise anyone reading this not to either.

Ordered my bridesmaids dress, came in a few weeks before the wedding IN THE WRONG COLOR, worst customer service from everyone there, except Ericka, she came in and sorted the problem out immediately . I would not recommend this place at all . Weddings are stressful enough, if you can not make the brides day just a little less stressful, you REALLY should not be in the wedding industry!!!!
