Great place for both donation of good items and purchasing things you may need at a big discount. Great way to give back to the community. Extremely helpful and nice people.

Great thrift store with many items for home such as - furniture, lighting, decor, kitchenware, hardware pieces, plus clothing and more. Prices are very reasonable on most items, great for those on a budget!

Da
Review №4

Very overpriced place, especially at the new one in Carencro. They want $300 for an old mawmaw couch with rips and stains on it. I get that it’s to raise money and stuff for people but that’s not why people shop here. People shop there for affordable, used furniture and items and this pricing just ain’t it. Also a $10 minimum for card sales is ridiculous and then the lady at the register rudely goes “well just donate the remaining $7.” That’s not how to run a business and I see it not lasting long.

This store is a cluster of mostly broken items at above retail prices. I was told they get so many donations that they can’t put them on the floor and they are going to open a bigger store. Did anyone in charge ever take a business class? Lower the prices and move the stuff instead of piling it to get broken and sit. I’ve been to other Restores that were amazing. I used to promote this place for donations to contractors and designers, I won’t anymore. 2 stars are only for the staff.

Needed a bi-fold closet door. Big Box store wanted anywhere from $40 - $60. So I came here and found one in great shape for $5.00. Saw people buying a lot of furniture when I was there. Staff was very friendly. The lady who was helping me was so nice I thought she was a manager. She said that she was a volunteer (no pay) and had been there part time for 2 months. She made me think what am I doing to help others at no pay ?

I live in a fixer-upper and I’m always needing new things for my house from couches to hardware to appliances. The Restore is so helpful in finishing my home. After my last find of a new door for crazy cheap I had to brag on them! If you’re doing any renovations, The Restore should be a regular stop.

This was my first trip to the store. We were looking for a couple things, which we didnt find. (I understand like all thrift stores the stock always changes.) Id heard great things about it, so I suppose I had too many expectations. There were some nice things, but it was disorganized and hard to maneuver by places. Some prices were unreasonable for secondhand items, including a $170 stained sofa and a $60 pressed-wood coffee table that had seen better days. The prices on rugs, though, was amazing and they were in very good shape. Also, the flooring was very reasonably priced and there was a nice selection of unused material there.

The manager didnt cut me any deals, the items were used, not new, she googled the item s if it were new then priced it 1/2 price. I was gonna buy all of them but she became Habitate queen after I purchased flooring . Thats not helping a contractor for. The items are donated . I was a regular but since that. I havent been back . Should be called Hoarding for cash...

I really enjoy shopping here! The staff is friendly and there is a really diverse stock on the floor. I also enjoy Restores presence on facebook and instagram so that I can see when new inventory hits the floor. I like shopping at places like Restore as opposed to buying new merchandise; it makes me feel like I am keeping my carbon footprint in check.

The Restore does have some treasures, but the prices are getting out of hand. Example: Ottoman for $149, television hutch for +$300 broken btw, a broken desk for $189, 2 matching chairs for $179. Im all for helping out, but come on! My husband and I used to find joy in going every Tuesday for lunch, but now we just have me words. My husband was a volunteer in high school for habitat. He has built homes and help those less fortunate then him. We sadly agreed today that we will no longer go to the store. Items there were a gift. The prices should be fair. Thats all I have to say.

Review №75

These other reviews have to be fake. The prices were discusting. Alot of stuff you would be better off just buying new. They asking 30 dollars for battery powered drills that are at least 15 years old. batteries dont work and missing chargers. They had a saw I once had that took me 3 months to sale it for 5 bucks. same saw. they wanted 300 and mine was in better shape. the furniture, broken asking 300 for a dresser. The couches had stains and indentions from bring 20 years old and sat on thousands of times. not antique, just ugly old stuff that should be givin to someone in need. Considering it was all given to them, but no they asking 200 dollars. Ceiling fans you can pick up from home depot for 200 new, with warrenty. They were asking 200-500. I was just blown away. Mind blowing. I cant say that enough. cheap tools that probably came from the dollar tree they want 10 and 15 dollars. 1 ratchets strap cheap brand 10 bucks. When I can buy name brand 4 pack for 12 from home depot. This place should be shut down. (THEY HAD USED LIGHT SWITCH COVERS WITH PAINT ON THEM ASKING 1 DOLLAR. they are 79 cents new without paint, clean any other place.
