I used to love going to this store. I have gone at least 5 times over the last few months and the entire store seems to be getting worse every time. The majority of the items are completely broken, everythings pretty much just tossed into random piles, and the prices seem to be getting higher. The (original price) sticker is also usually marked up. Also, Im not normally one to complain about public restrooms but WOW thats the worst one I have ever seen. 😔

I mean I know its dirt cheap but.... It could stand to be a bit cleaner, organized, and not in such a disarray. The prices also need to be clearer than what they are... wow

Totally have great prices but you have to root through everything. So when you go be prepared timing wise. Also employees are sometimes great sometimes horrible really just depends on the shift. I would still recommend if you have the time to go

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a complete scam. Broken lamp marked $490 with 80% off and I’ve seen the same lamp at Lowe’s for $35. Quilt marked $130 with 60% off. Are they serious? WHY would I pay a higher price than retail??? The whole point of shopping salvage stores is to get stuff for “dirt cheap” The entire store is a train wreck, items are broken, dirty, just thrown and left wherever they land. Felt like it would have been cleaner to go dumpster diving. Certainly would have gotten stuff in better condition. Just avoid this filthy rip-off. It is honestly not worth the energy.

I’ve gone here a few times. I’ve also been to the Dirt Cheap in Baton Rouge; I think this one is better.They are constantly getting new things in. They just recently got A HUGE shipment in. They are still unloading more stuff. They’ve gotten in more furniture. A lot more video games. A lot more clothes, especially for men.Most of their stuff are Target brands, which is always nice.

Messy, smells dirty inside, poorly ran and managed. 40% off of items marked 40-60% higher than brand new unopened items from big box retailers. Try Ollies instead.

Place has gone down over the past 3 years. Store has merchandise thrown on shelves, in isle, difficult to find items, and unsafe to move around store.

If you like bargains this place has them you just have to take the time to look around. I bought this huge, super soft Pokemon blanket for $11.95 a huge savings and in perfect condition. My grandson loves it.

The items I finally found (that weren’t broken or very dirty) WERE cheap, but all of the items in the store were obviously second hand, often broken or dirty and there was NO organization. To be honest I’ve been to garage sales with better values and MUCH cleaner products.

One of the worst and most disorganized chain of stores Ive ever gone to understaffed most of the time, messy and forget the electronics section its locked up and good luck getting a clerk to come over to show you anything and when they do they only let you touch one item at a time.they act like everyone is going to steal from them

Pricing is over marked most items used or broken clothes racks are in the worst order. Determining a price to some items was impossible. I tried downloading the app so I could scan qr codes that didnt work and store was a total wreckThe most interesting things for sale were very used weed eaters. I mean come onAnd nothing is dirt cheap. Good luck finding anything that even has all the parts.

Prices are phenomenal, but there is NO organization on anything from clothing to hardware. (Ex: The mens clothing section only had womens clothes)

I dont like the set up, its not taken care of its not orderly or organized, you can tell it just a bunch or random, usually broken stuff that the buy or find or gets brought back that they resell for not much cheaper. We have found a few things from here cheaper and actually decent but most are either too high of a price for missing something or just not discounted enough to make the buy worth it. If the place was cleaned up and maintained and didnt feel like you went to a garage sale where a 3 year old ransacked prior to your arrival I might be not willing to browse and even buy more often. Just my opinion though.

When I pulled into the parking lot there was literally about 50 customers in front rummaging through full bins of clothing and whatnots.. On first glance I thought this could not be the the line to get inside, and if so Im glad my schedule for the evening is clear because I may be here a while. When I got inside I have never ever walked into a store as such where there was 70% off almost everything to be sold! WOW!! My sole purpose was to get some clothing and shoes to donate to the less fortunate children. Let me tell you the day after ANY holiday my pockets hurt!!😂 So a friend of mine referred me here and I am totally glad they did. I was able to get these children everything that they asked for and more. The most wonderful thing about this store is while shopping, everything I selected was about 5 to 10 bucks each, (are you listening, or should I say reading well?) And by the time I got to the register most things were $1.50.. YES, from 10 bucks to $1.50!! This isnt a steal, its a giveaway. Thank you Lord Jesus for Dirt Cheap Store and their goodness, thank you for the finances to be able to support children in need, and thank you for the children that will and has been blessed by you🙏🙏! To the mgr or owner from Dirt Cheap who will read this review, from now on anytime I am to go out and provide donations of such, if you sell it, Im buying it there and may God continue to bless you, the store and its employees so that children in need will always have!! Imagine if a tornado hit Lowes and Target and combined them into one big ole mess of scattered items. Also you need to be good at math to figure out the market up prices minus the random percents off.

You can find really good deals if you have time and patience. If you like to scavenge or garage sale shop, this is the place for you!!! Awesome finds at ridiculously low prices if you are shopper savvy. And definitely get the app. This is my favorite place for retail therapy, can spend hours just rummaging for good deals!

I didnt expect much with this type of store. The store is complete chaos. There are bins everywhere but there really isnt any organization whatsoever. Prices are decent but expect to have to dig for anything of value. There is furniture however you really dont know what the items are since the boxes are pretty much unmarked and not priced. Leaving you guessing what the product actually is. I really wish whomever is running this store took a little more pride in the appearance and at least had say all the fans one one aisle instead of one on fan one 5 different aisles. This store really could have potential if someone put forth some type of effort.

I love finding nice deals here but organizations is defiantly not a priority! They need to come up with a better way to organize. That is always a main frustration when coming here.

It is what it says it is. If you are willing to dig around and get dirty you can find some excellent bargains. Dont go in expecting things to be orderly and you should expect to work for your deals. There are no returns but they always have a handy place to plug in electronics to test them out before you buy. I bought a great comfortable polo shirt for $2 the last time I was there. Great place to find a great deal if you are looking for a really specific piece of furniture. You may get really lucky and they will have the perfect item. Its definitely a gamble and youll have to dig through boxes. But if youre persistent, you may walk away with a huge discount.

A friend of mine found this place and wanted to share it with me. It has plenty of nice items at very low prices. Everything is splayed about in a way that one is awarded the same pleasures one receives from a treasure hunt.

The assistant store manager at dirt cheap has a very superior attitude,,, i’m sure (Dirt Cheap) pays him very well but there’s no need for the attitude... he’s very hostile with the employees And rude to customers...Very Poor customer service skills... He is not a good Leader... Maybe it’s his first job. $7.50

This place is great if you are looking for items for cheap. Be prepared to stay a while. There is really no order to the store and youll have to dig for the best deals. But there is a lot of money to be saved while shopping here.

This store has more broken down items that they still expect you to pay more then its worth. Ville Platte store has a lot of the same items, in better condition and cheaper prices. Not to mention when you try to talk to the manager she was rude as could be. After trying to talk to her I had not 1 but 2 employees tell me how is is not makring items down like they should be, trying to sell broken items at 40% off, and how is ugly and rude to them when they try to talk to her.

Im giving 5 stars because the employees deserve it. If I worked there Id probably explode and need anxiety meds. But I was pleased to see how clean the store was recently. However, shopping for clothes is basically impossible. Definitely needs improvement.

Stopped in here while visiting family from out of town. Found some very cute things. Bought a ton of cute dresses and most of them were only $1.00!!! Could have stayed and looked for hours but boyfriend was rushing me.

I have found a few good deals here although I have to say that there racks are extremely overloaded with clothes. You take one out and you cant fit the hanger back in. There are always items on the floor and its very tight in spaces. Its always very hard to find someone to unlock the dressing room doors. The place needs to be better organized is all that I can truly say and you have to be a digger to find something that you like.

There is a young man who works in the clothes department. He is in his 20s, early 20s and he has short dreads in his hair. My wife did get his name but we forgot.Anyways I am trying to discribe him because we were both so very impressed by his work ethics. We looked threw the clothes and watched as other shoppers threw clothes on the floor. And really just made a mess. This young man never not once stoped working! As others threw Items on the floor he went right behind them picking them up, putting them on hangers and then finding the right place ware they belong.Just a breath of freash air to see a young man with good work ethics, a good additude and a smile. We all know dirt cheap is messy and out of order but without this young man the store would be turned uo side down.

If you can get past the chaos, the prices are great! I purchased over $20.00 worth of gardening tools for a little over $4.00!The help is congenial, helpful, and fair.Im not going to lie, though, it is messy and chaotic and you literally have to rummage through bins of clothes to find what you want, if its dealing with clothes. Gardening tools, seeds, sprinklers, etc., are like the name: dirt cheap...

Dirt cheap has great deals at times. The store is never clean, however. Items are never where they should be and the packaging on most items is faulty. I understand their items are from several stores that didnt sell an item quick enough, this shouldnt be an excuse, however and the products should be properly secured

The manager would not sell me an item because it didnt have a price tag and claimed it would be on sale tomorrow. I explained I did not live in the area but she was not willing to enter the item in her store system for me to purchase the stuffed animal. I left the item behind as well as a pair of gloves due to her unwillingness to sell me an item and to what I perceived to be somewhat of a rude and apathetic attitude. I will never return to this location because if this bad experience.

This store is filthy and Dirty. There is open and empty boxes. Trash and clothes on the floor and extremely unorganized. One word, NASTY!! How can the company allow this store to look like this. Thats a disgrace. Needs to be shut completely down. Many items still have damaged tickets from previous stores, why are they selling defective merchandise?

Ive been to 3 other dirt cheaps and had pretty good experiences, this one Ive had bad luck with stuff being broken when I buy it even after checking it out in stores.Its to be expected in shops like this so Im not dissuading any one from shopping here, just notice some things here seem to be in disrepair even more so than other branches.

Found a bunch of great stuff for really good prices. Too bad there was no one available to check me out. The cashier, as soon as she finished checking a lady out, left the register completely and never came back. Then a guy came with a dress, ignored the line of five people waiting for a register, and was immediately helped by someone who dropped what he was doing to come run the register. Left the basket where it was and left the store.

I would visit way more often if it wasnt so difficult to know the price. I dont mind the digging, but EVERY time I checkout there is an issue. The signs are too few and vague.

Dirt cheap - expect to pay half-price or less of the original price of any items you can find in Walmart, Target, Big Lots, Pier 1 Imports, & more. Caleb, who runs the electronics section when hes working, seems to be a quiet worker, but he is really a lot of help. A couple of the women were not so friendly, but to either my husband or me. The store is a mess of items, but the walkways were mostly clear. Dig deep for the best deals!! We found good XBox One & 360 games - & a couple brand-new remotes. While the store policy is NO RETURNS, be aware that these items came from the shelves of other stores to which they could have been returned, which happened to be the case with 3 out of the 5 game controllers I looked at. The workers WILL allow you to open packages or will open them for you so that you can inspect the quality of the product you might purchase. I advise you to do so BEFORE you pay!!!

Fun place to shop! Although it is disorganized and a lot of the toys etc. are missing parts and some are gone altogether. Good prices though! It takes a lot of time to go through the store so it is not a quick shop.

I like this place. You have to spend some time digging through random items but I always come away with all couple of amazing finds. Today, for example, I got two rugs for $3 each and some curtains for $7.

I only on person checking out and the customer wanted his discount with out proof of the discount an he stopped the line from moving over 30 to 40 minutes and they never opened another line till way later

My mother & I came in yesterday for a little bargain hunting. My mom is a diabetic and while were were there her sugar began to fall so she went to the front and asked to make change so she could buy a soda. The staff immediately began to assist her. One employee gave her a bag of m&ms while another bought her a soda. A third employee found a chair for her to sit down. I wish I had been able to thank these individuals in person for the assistance they provided but I was unable to find them. So this post is my way of saying thank you for taking the time to help my mom, it is truly appreciated!

Such a treasure trove if you dont mind taking your time searching every nook and cranny. if you get anxiety in chaotic and unorganized spaces i wouldnt recommend. otherwise really good deals if you find what youre looking for.

Ok so I absolutely love this store. The workers are usually rude and at times tend to ignore or pretend they cant hear you, alot of the times the workers dont smell very fresh either and the store is ALWAYS a mess especially the bathroom!! Always the bathroom!! But we have found amazing purchases here. We bought kids shoes NICE kids shoes for 3.80 a piece and pretend items for school centers for 1.00 a piece. Its a great store if you dont mind everything being literally covered in dirt and horrible customer service

I went this past week. It was a mess, nothing is organized in the Womens pants section, there was water leaking from the roof, the shoes were knotted up in a huge bin and I couldnt get the pair out that I wanted. This store would be great if the employees organized and cleaned more. All the toilet seats were broken and all of the workers were in one spot in the kids stuff with things all over the floor. I couldnt finish shopping because I was overwhelmed by the clutter. I really like this store but it needs an overhaul and people working that care about the looks of the place.
