Great work was done... I need more work but havent gotten a call back just yet. Only a call from the guy who turned me on to the shop. I dont believe they shady doe. They seem to be good brothers.

I was in a panic 2 weeks ago, but not only was the receptionist very reassuring over the phone every time we spoke, but the mechanic himself was very knowledgeable and helpful both over the phone and in person! The vehicle was inspected and worked on within the same 24 hours, and Im very appreciative and satisfied with this repair shop!

Paul (the owner of Downtown Auto) is an amazing mechanic. He is honest and helpful. My transmission had to be rebuilt and he did an excellent job in rebuilding the transmission. The car is running great. I moved to Lafayette in 2014 and since then Downtown Auto is my only car repair shop in Lafayette. Great service!!

Brought my van in weeks ago because it was shuddering during idle and had a check engine light. Brought it in and paid $600+ for various things. Got the van back and it was still shuddering and check engine light has come back on. And now they are not taking my calls. I dont understand why everyone else gave such great reviews but this place completely ripped me off.
