Shipwreck Beads has the widest variety of beads and related crafting materials of any store in the region. The prices are a little high for Hobby Crafters, but are of good quality. Definitely an amazing store, and a must-see if youre looking for something you cant find at other hobby stores.

They have moved to a new location across the street to the west of the previous store location. Seems to but a little more spacious, but I could only be there for a couple of hours before they closed.Itll be great when they have more stock to fill the small areas of limited or out of stock items. Like the variety of beads and colors they have on hand, even the charms and findings. When I cant find what I want, I can go to Shipwreck beads and usually find it. They have moved across the street from their original warehouse and are in the process of moving everything over.

People are really nice but their prices on the floor don’t match what was scanned at register and I didn’t notice till after I paid and saw the receipt at home. The strings would say 40 count but only have 38 on them so feels like I also got ripped off on that part. I’m not sure if I could take them back and if they would believe me or what I would be able to do but just recommended anyone to check the prices at the register before you pay if anything seems off! Overall staff was nice

Wow, Ive died & gone to bead heaven! Project is a 6ft Carp sculpture. I needed a long red bead for the gills. They had exactly what I envisioned. Red satin bugle bead 30mm! And at the right price point, yeah. Check out the beads in the cement sidewalk entry, too cool!

I did not realize there are so many different types of beads. I am not into dealing with beads myself but my girlfriend and her daughter were in heaven. Im thinking a hole in the wall store with 1 or 2 employees. I couldnt have been more wrong. I felt like I walked into warehouse and beads everywhere. Each of the employees we talked to were very helpful.

Beads were awesome and the selection is amazing. The only reason I can’t give this place 5 stars is because of the super rude man at checkout. I asked him for advice on which loom he recommended and he coldly responded “I don’t use a loom”. His tone and vibe was really negative. Great place otherwise.

EXCELLENT customer service!!! I made a mistake with an order and scheduled it for pickup instead of shipping. I was anticipating having to cancel it and then reorder but when I called their customer service, someone was on the phone immediately and was able to instantly switch my package over to shipping and get it out that day. I’ve ordered from shipwreck before and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Great bead selection, fairly priced and great overall stock. My only gripe is that I feel like they could have more selection of earring findings/hoops but SUPER minor thing.

Went in after hearing so many great reviews only to find that about 5% of the whole building has actual stone beads. everything else is either plastic or dyed glass. And not to mention they are selling dyed howlite for $40 a strand and calling it malachite?!?! Wont ever be going back here for beads. Great for someone building some cheap personal jewelery, not at all a good place for someone who sells real stone jewelry in the Oly area.

I ordered some beads a couple of weeks ago. In the beginning (before I ordered anything) they kindly answered my messages, but now they wont respond and i have still not received my order after many weeks. I will not recommend buying anything from them online!!! I do not know where my order is, or if i can get my money back and i spent almost $100 in their online shop. If i could give them 0 starts i would..... very disappointed!!!

Most people at the shop are very polite with the exception of a man who made me wait for 20 minutes while figuring out my return without an apology and a terse mood. Then he made me get back in line again for one new item I wanted to buy. He had a foul and angry mood the whole time.

If youre traveling from far away, make it an entire day trip! Start at one side and really take your time looking at everything. Its totally worth it! Keep an eye on the price tags, they dont always match and make sure to let the employees know, they will try to fix it for you. There is a lot to see, bring your list and a coffee! Enjoy!!

Good deals but sold out of a lot of beads

Disappointed I was just looking to order some new string to my surprise its over 20 bucks for one, I was like ok I still need so I try to order it after entering all my information I put ok to oder after all almost 30 dollars. But then it keeps giving something saying it has to be over 15 dollars to order, so I proceed to go to shipping options click a more expensive one now im almost to 40 for some simple string. Click and again error of $15.00 or more so now Ive spent almost a hour messing with it and gave up I dont know what else to do except go to some other beading site to get my nymo tread

Fantastic service to Australia. Firstly their prices are extremely reasonable without even being on sale. Their sales team who I had contact with via Matthew was excellent and highly knowledgeable. Their postage and packing services was very helpful - as this can be a real hassle normally but shipwreck is so good at being helpful to make the most of shipping to Australia. Purchased during their 40% off offer which puts Australian dollar back to almost equivalent. Highly recommend this store for their support. Their 1800 number never worked even when I called during office hours but they have another number which is at the bottom of their reply email which I used instead. Admittedly the website looks like a dinosaur but the customer service over the phone was excellent. I hope shipwreck will be able to negotiate cheaper international shipping offers as I would then easier shop here more frequently.

Worth the trek to find it. Tucked in the back of Laceys light industrial area. It is actually easier to find things on website first because there is so much in the store it can be hard to find that one thing you need. Plan ahead if you are after specific items and want to get in and out.

Fantastic bead shop. They have everything and then some that you might want. Make sure to leave plenty of time to look. I heard a women say some people can spend 4 hours looking - we looked for about 2 hours. Make sure to know your prices. Most are a great deal, but not everything. There is a restroom and places to relax - just in case. Glad we stopped and will return when in the area.

Amazing selection

Ive been coming to this store since my daughter was young. The first time we came our eyes were wide and we couldnt get over what an amazing place it was. This last time I went I couldnt believe and how much the prices had gone up. As an artist selling creations theres no way I can make a profit with these prices. I also asked someone a question, and they were pretty rude, which I wasnt expecting. I travel back and forth from Portland to Seattle and make it a highlight to stop here, but I wont be doing so anymore or recommending it as I have for years.

Its bead heaven! I can (and did) spend hours just looking at all the pretty things! The service is great, everyone there is helpful and willing to chat about projects! The only downside is that theyve had to close the coffee shop they had inside, I miss the fantastic drinks they made there and hope they can bring it back!

I ordered a bunch of different kinds of beads online and they are absolutely beautiful! Amazing quality, and perfect for what I need them for. They even sent a little extra pouch of a few assorted beads for free- nice touch!Customer service was A+! I had a few questions about the precise dimensions of the beads, so I emailed the email on their website. I received a very timely response from Susan, which was amazing because Im pretty sure I emailed on Christmas Eve. She was very nice and had all of the information I needed.

My new favorite place. Easy (enough) to navigate, super knowledgable staff, and Ive just gone crazy with all the beads Ive bought there now. I want you guys to know that the minute after I left your store I got to work and have made over 100 bracelets, feeling proud of every one. Your store just radiated this positive energy too and I enjoyed talking to every staff I had a conversation with there. It would have been great if I didnt have to write down so many loose beads and charms I found (because I found so many), but its certainly something that can be fixed one day with new technology. I wish I had pictures of some of the bracelets to post, but maybe Ill edit this later.

I love the vintage supplies and resources too - brings back memories of all the books Ive had throughout the years, and the projects Ive created. I could spend all day in here and not see everything, and whenever I get to deliver in the neighborhood, I try to get a chance to drop in. Ive talked with several members of the staff here and they all seem pretty friendly and helpful. I especially like the beads in the sidewalk - great idea.

I started ordering beads from Shipwreck before they even had a website, probably 15 years ago. Shipwreck has a fantastic selection of beads, tools, and packaging materials, all at fabulous prices! Every item has a color number embedded in the item #, so you know youre getting the same color regardless of the shape or size. As a professional jewelry designer, this has made it easy to build a supply of color coordinated beads. Orders are always shipped promptly with a very high degree of accuracy. In the rare instance when theres been a problem, the problem has been quickly and generously resolved by a friendly and gracious staff. This is my absolute favorite company for beads, beading supplies and accessories. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The bead store is awesome. Huge selection, quality products, helpful staff. As for the cafe, the food choices were decent, but could use some more vegetarian offerings. The cafe staff was pleasant, and helpful, but the espresso was terrible, very bitter even with a ton of added sugar. I will definitely be back to the beadshop, and will likely get something from the cafe, it just wont be coffee.

Ship wreck used to be SO MUCH MORE awesome than they are now. They used to have so many more options for sterling silver and gold findings. The options for certain items have severely been limited. They still have tons of beads and findings, but their deli is gone and all three vending machines that they replaced it with were out of service.The place was not busy, and there were a number of people working, but I still had problems getting some to answer my questions about beading.I love ship wreck, dont get me wrong, but its gone downhill since I was there give years ago.

Went to find beads to work in a crocheted crown I want to make. Got assistance to look for what I wanted, found it and was on my way. Was surprisingly a quick visit.

Google Maps showed the store as open, so I drove 60 miles to the store in Lacy, WA only to discover that their showroom was closed until further notice, presumably due to COVID-19, according to a sign in the store window. I reported the discrepancy in store hours to Google Maps and was somewhat frustrated that the store would report that they were open, when they were not. Some things cant be ordered on-line (for example, when youre trying to match a color) and need to be purchased in person. The short time I was outside the store, another customer also showed up in their car.

Great source for beading, wire twisting, etc. Great customer service too...just one complaint: Please dont play the 70s music channel! How about vintage jazz or swing or trance? Just stop with the effing pop music (especially the 70s), please!! (Next time I visit Im remembering to bring my head phones!)

I got exactly what I ordered, and the colors were the ones that Id hoped for. I havent been to the store since they moved to their new location, but in the past their staff was always helpful and knowledgeable.

Drove here from Lake Tapps and would not do that again. I was looking more for natural stone beads and was really hoping for a larger selection. Prices were high too. I will continue to buy from Amazon and an online company from Oregon. I was excited to hear about this store but sadly I think the prices were not competitive. I guess its fine for someone who doesnt buy a lot of jewelry supplies and hasnt shopped around for all the prices available. The store was very organized and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Although shipwreck has really good prices, Ive had several experiences where there customer service is lacking. Ive placed multiple orders that Im later told they are out of stock on. I patiently waited on an order I placed for 10 days, was told it was in line to ship, then when I contacted them about the issue they once again told me they were out of stock. This is two weeks before my deadline to finish this beaded dress and now I have no other alternative and the dress wont be done in time. They have good prices, but their shipping time is always uncertain.
