The only thing good about this store on 4 Sept at 8pm is one gentleman asked what he could help me with when I came in and they had some shorts and shirts on sale for my husband. When I approached the checkout the three gentleman at the check out were talking to each other ignoring me. Not one greeted me or say did you find everything? The manager did not even stop distracting the two works or did he set the example to say hello and thank you. I was the only one in the store and they acted like I was not even there. When I checked out the gentleman at the register took my clothes off the hangers but just pulled them up. He gave me the receipt and stood there. I put my wallet and keys down and folded the clothes then picked up my stuff and walked out. There was no thank you or have a nice evening. What has this generation come to? They have no people skills or hospitality. I have no intention of shopping here again.

Sporting goods guy needs classes in customer help. Not helpful even to make a phone call to a closeby store for inventor check.

Apparently a very poor place if you want to purchase a fire arm. Never have the staff to sell one. Have been turned away THREE times during the process. First time, not enough employees to do the background check, come back tomorrow. Second time, apparently a state logged comprehensive Hunter Safety course doesnt satisfy the requirements of I1639. My fault, I guess. Third time, mind you this was after having to wait 2.5 weeks to pick up the rifle, though I am pretty sure the 10 day period is from when the application is submitted not accepted, I get turned away at 6pm because the employees working arent allowed to sell fire arms. 6PM on a work day ... When most people are just getting off work. It was supposed to be ready for pick up on a Friday, the day after I left town. 8 hours of driving later I swing in to pick it up at 6pm on a Monday and get told to come back tomorrow. Very poor customer service. Will not be doing the process with them again.

Went on the weekend. They had only 1 worker the cashier. He was working the cash register with 6 in line 5 on the sales floor needing help. We wanted to purchase a trampoline. He yelled sorry I’m the only one working just be patient. I feel bad as a sales person A lot of people walked. Lots of missed sale opportunities. Management must be lacking sadly.

I called before going there this last time for a official kickball. The young man that took the call was very helpful in went to go find the only kickball they had left and told me that I could come on in and pick it up. Whats I got there he was very helpful in pointed me in the right direction. This is pretty much the same with all of my visits at big 5 sporting goods. I have really come to like them.

At least we found some socks. Good value

Good selection and friendly staff they helped me find exactly what i was looking for which was frisbee golf items. The store itself is quite full but easy to shop. Five stars as the exterior is a little tired and the parking lot is small so on a busy day it could be an issue.

No real sales for anything actually I think I paid more than Walmart sheesh 🙄

CALLED THEY SAID THEY HAD WHAT I WANTED WAS SEVERAL DAYS LATER WENT IN AND THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK AND IT WOULD B WEEKS BEFOR THEY COULD GET ANY IN WELL NOW I HAVE NO SHOES AFTER LOOSING A SOLE AND HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION TKS BIG 5 GREAT JOB

A great store with great service, the workers always help with a smile and even offered to carry items out to the car with me. I know what store to go to for any sporting good needs.

I like this place for their sales on shoes. However, I really wish that they carried womens sport shoes. They carry youth in girls/boys and mens but no womens. On there rack they say choose any shoe and they will look for a size in that shoe, they included this with the youth as well. Which was super confusing, pretty much implying that they have a youth shoe in an adult. So that was a waste of time seeing a pattern of no they do not. So if you want a sport shoe, meaning cleats do not expect to find womens there. Cause your only choice is mens. Unless you can fit into youth.

Military discount, pocket poles, great staff, only down side is the camping axe I bought was SOOOOO DULL! 😂 But that wasnt that big a deal, this place is awesome with great prices and great staff.The gentlemen behind the gun counter was very attentive to the questions I asked, covered all the bases and informed me of every single thing I wanted to know. The young lady at the register was very pleasant and gave me service with a smile and a thank you. Exceptional place, exceptional people, keep up the great work my friends!

Lots of stuff here. Store layout is a bit crowded and staying apart from people can be a challenge. Looking for knives and firearms? Seek life elsewhere

Got a new lunchbox at a good price.

I almost always go to Big 5 usually at least for sock specials. I didnt have a sale in mind when I dropped in and I didnt go over to the bulk socks usually are. The heavy sock area didnt fit my needs this trip. I plan to keep an eye out for after holiday sales for what Im still looking for.

Really enjoyed the friendly and helpful service from the staff at this Big 5. Props for creating an easy to shop atmosphere and having a clean store. I was able to find just the right pair of Adidas running shoes in a fun color, which made me pretty happy. Selection is better than the Olympia store by the Capitol mall by far, this venue is a bit bigger and includes a great selection of shoes with amazing deals. Highly recommend shopping here for sports equipment, athleisure, and reliable brands like Adidas and Nike.

Kinda small but had what I came for.

I barely got the door open when someone approached me. I was wearing a mask so I knew that wasnt the issue.vI had to tell the man Im just looking because I was looking for a couple of things. He finally calmed down and was very respectable afterwards. I was able to purchase one of the items I was looking for. Thanks.

Great price for shoes

Someone at the front desk rudely as I was walking in shouted that they were another to close. I was about to purchase two pairs of shoes before he made me feel very unwelcome. I have been buying stuff from them for awhile, I understand wanting to get off but you could have said your message much more friendly

I felt safe shopping there, everyone was wearing a mask. Great staff, we were buying body boards for the grandkids. They had to get a ladder to get to them, sorted through various ones for us and were very friendly.

This Big5 store in Lacey, WA. is a joke they literally buy the cheapest stuff from China and resell it for a large profit. If youre looking for quality this isnt the place to go. Also the management here is very incompetence to say the least The manager Dan Ryan is very rude and arrogant. Suprised this store is still open!

I hope they have more selection in shoes.

My daughter gets her Nike headbands here and they come at a decent price not much shoe selection though.

We found 2 gifts, wrapping up our shopping. With digital coupon I saved 20% off everything including sale items. Good selection, reasonable prices. Nice people!

Friendly helpful staff and reasonable prices. It can sometimes be hard to find supplies for a certain sport out of season. Otherwise, there is always a large assortment of sports and outdoor supplies.

Great stop to pick up equipment for kids sports or if you need to pick up something quick and dont want to walk into a huge sports/recreation emporium to search for something. Good selection of items and decent deails.

The service at Big 5 in Lacey is par excellence. Dan and Eva were not only helpful, but friendly and engaging. They went the extra mile to help me find shoes I was looking for. Keep up the good work.

Bought a baseball glove for my kid here and there was a whole wall of gloves to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised by how big their selection was. The lady at the checkout was very friendly and asked us about our plans for the day.

Big 5 has a great selection of lots of clothes and sports gear. We didnt find the soccer cleats we wanted but they did have several pair that could have been acceptable.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have good deals on shoes but it seems not a big selection. For baseball stuff they seem to have everything in stock we need for the season.

We stopped in there to look at canopies. The lady at the front, Eva from the name on the receipt, was extremely helpful and very very friendly and polite.The manager however was about as rude as could be. We had simple questions ranging from prices to durability and return policy. Most were answered by Eva, who seemed to want to genuinely help us out. The questions answered by the manager were very curt, short, and rude.This rating reflects his rudeness. It wasnt only directed at us but another customer and Eva herself.

I enjoy the place but the place has been out of weight plates for months. Find many thing I use like hydro-flask, frisbees, shoes etc but for my workout needs its a little disappointing to go in and see the weight section depleted for 3 months straight

Theyve got all the basics covered for all the most popular sports; clothing, gear, footwear, and other accessories. Always have stuff on sale and clearance. Helpful, friendly, and efficient staff. Mostly moderate pricing and quality. Easy to access and exit for everyone.

Theyve always got my size and type of shoes Im looking for.

- We found boxing pads that we were looking for but seemed to be a bit on the pricey side (I didnt compare to other places since we wanted it in hand today. These cost $32 for 2 pretty small punching pads).- The store was very crowded with things and it was hard to move around without bumping into things.- My husband tried on 2 pairs of pants that ran small relatively to size and didnt fit.- Customer service was not very attentive.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but they are pricey!$27 for black work boots in pic.Colby saw me by the shoes and greeted me, letting me know to ask him if I needed help. Eventually I did ask for help. Colby was extra patient and understanding when I asked him to go back about five times to try on a different size in the shoes I wanted to buy for work! He treated me fairly despite not knowing if Id buy the shoes or not, and was very helpful and I didnt feel judged at all.The shorter lady with light hair pulled back was nice too, she greeted me when I walked up to her and apologized for the pink paper slips everywhere which wasnt an issue to me, but recognized the small mess.Overall I may return if I wasnt to pay the higher price for something more durable, otherwise im going to Walmart for the cheaper items.Im very happy for Colbys assistance with me finding the right shoe size too!

I was looking for some golf shoes and while Big 5 did not have a huge selection, nor did they carry womans sizes, I was able to purchase a pair of mens shoes at a reasonable price. Sales staff was helpful and not the least bit pushy.

Theres this cute boy that works there and thats really the only reason I go. He is super helpful every time I go there and is really knowledgeable about the products....2 years later - WE GOT MARRIED!

My experience was acceptable. Not great. The store is small making it hard to carry everything that everyone might want in every price range. They chose the demographic of the average recreational player/athlete. If you want higher end equipment this is not the place to go. Pricing is a bit higher than I think it should be but just my opinion. Nice to still have a sports store in town.

This was my first visit to a Big 5. I had excellent assistance from the floor attendant. They had a great selection of baseball equipment and they had several relevant coupons that brought the price to a pretty good deal. We will be back.

Well we took some pants back that cost $80 did not have receipt. They gladly accepted the return only to a week later tell us the account is closed contact corperate... So u robbed me of my clothes huh BIG 5? Well I will have to show you why you dont do that...

This place is nice. The girl working the cash register hooked me and my wife up with fishing licenses after Walmart told us we would have to call and come back after their system processed us for it..... they were lying. Big 5 fixed us right up and I went fishing that afternoon. No luck there but at least it was legal.
