Cody Jones does amazing sales work. He and his team of professionals make the buying experience wonderful, especially Bob P!!! From their response to our inquiry through working with our lender on all the paperwork and all the way to delivery, the Nashville Gateway team far exceeded our customer service expectations. The buying experience went as classy smooth as the finish on the BEAUTIFUL 1966 Impala Convertible we purchased. I am overwhelming impressed with the down to earth and heavenly customer service Nashville provides. This is the only place for any of my purchases. Thanks again to Cody and the team at Gateway Classic Cars Nashville for a wonder buying experience!

BEWARE!! DO NOT sell you classic car with this company!!This company is an absolute scam.1. They make you sign an agreement to get a fixed net amount once your car sells. For example, Let’s say the price of your car is listed as $40,000. You sign an agreement at that you will take home $32,000. But even if your car sold for $70,000… you still only take home $32,000On top of that, you can only lower your net… not raise it. And once you agree to lower it, it’s stuck like that. The company won’t even disclose to you how much your car sold for!!!This allows them to manipulate you into lowering your net, so that they can make an even higher commission once your cars sells for more.2. My personal experience as a woman at this shop made me feel extremely diminished. Once my car was sold, I was not even given the courtesy of being let known for OVER TWO WEEKS! I finally received a call from the office letting me know that I had a check ready, and was not even contacted by the associate I had been working with. Technically, there is no breach contract… but this is simply just unethical business. When I called Bob, the associate I’ve been working with, confused to ask him when the vehicle was sold… he refused to answer any of my questions and abruptly transferred me MID-SENTENCE to another worker that had no information on this deal and was just there to get me to sign documents.I then contacted Bob over text, to which he never responded. So I asked him again A few days later for more information… to which he still refused to answer any of my questions… and told me “you’re welcome for getting your car sold” & “i don’t understand why you are not happy”3. Bob would call me multiple times in a row expecting me to be able to pick up the phone at any hour of the day whenever I would get an offer. He would leave me rude and entitled voice messages saying that I needed to pick up the phone.I work during the day, and always got back to him within a reasonable timeframe.I felt that he was more concerned with making his quick commission, than giving me any sort of bare minimum respect that anyone deserves.Overall I felt extremely patronized and taken advantage of.

I recently purchased a 1971 Chevy K10 from Gateway Classic Cars. I worked with Cody and believe me, he answered all my questions on the phone, text and email. The truck drove exactly as described. I picked it up in Nashville and drove it straight through to Jacksonville, FL with no problems. I would encourage anyone looking for a classic or collectible vehicle to contact Cody at Gateway Classic Cars, if they dont have the vehicle your looking for at one of their many locations they have the network to find you what youre looking for

I purchased a vehicle from Bob last month and couldnt be happier. I decided to fly in and drive the 500 miles back home. About 20 minutes after I left, the oil cooler blew out. I called Bob and although he was under no obligation to do so, he told me to bring it back, went and bought an oil cooler, and helped me install it. I bought the vehicle as is, but he paid for the oil cooler too. Its a great vehicle and Ive put several thousand mile on it now with no issues. You find out the character of the people youre dealing with when theres a problem, and as far as Im concerned, Bob and Gateway Classic Nashville deserve 10 stars.

I had talked to Cody Jones about driving down from Indianapolis to their warehouse to buy a 1991 Nissan Skyline from them the upcoming weekend, he sounded very sincere and was very helpful answering all of my questions before I took the 4.5 hour drive down to them to get the car. Later in the week Cody was out of office and had to talk to Bob Pierce. He answered my questions and I told him that I would make the drive down Saturday to purchase the car cash in hand. Bob Pierce then sold the car the day before I made the drive down to purchase the car, selling the car after I said I would make the drive down to purchase the car wasnt even the biggest issue I had. Bob chose not to contact me and let me know that it was sold, I found out by driving 4.5 hours for him to tell me in person while acknowledging that he knew I was coming down from Indianapolis to purchase the car.

I stopped in on Friday April 16th to check out the inventory. I found a 1941 Dodge pickup that I really like. I spoke with Bob regarding the truck for about an hour. I returned home and waited for the truck to be listed on their website. It took over a week. I chatted with someone on line and they told me the truck was no longer available. I called and left a voice mail for Bob advising that I wanted the truck. No call back. When the truck was finally posted I again chatted online with Chad. I asked to have a sales person call me. I gave them all of my contact information. Three days later still no call back. How do you run a business like this. Gateway is in the business of selling, I am interested in buying a vehicle that they have and I cannot even get a response.TERRIBLE!!

This place doesnt deserve a 1 star for the way I was treated..While I was in the hospital last week I spoke with Cody Jones one time, explaining to him what type of classic vehicle I was wanting. He seemed very sincere and said he would get back with me the next day with some options. The next day I get an e-mail from Bob Pierce telling me they were going to end all conversations with me unless I told them what I was i interested in. Keep in mind there was only that one conversation. I sent back a return message asking what was going on and they did not even respond.TOTAL LACK OF CLASS AND CHARACTERJames Estes

I bought a 1976 Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO T-10 4-Speed Manual a couple of weeks ago. Had to get it shipped without a personal visit. The salesmen, Bob and Nicholas, did a good job working me through the process. The car looked great and ran great as well. Sure there will be a few things to work out, but that is pretty much the case with any 43 year old car. These guys know their cars! Thanks again to Bob and Nicholas!!LOVE the 76 Trans Am!David

I was messaged through facebook by Christopher Roland, He said He was with Gateway Classic Cars, Asking me to Consign My vehicle with them, Even offering to waive the fee!I informed him I know about their business and all of their over priced cars. He basically told me that its how business works.I then suggested he come buy the car and then he can mark it up. here was his response: I’m not interested in an over priced poorly chopped truck with a dated restoration and awful 90s tail light/roll pan job.But then he said he could find a buyer if I change my mind.....READ THE REVIEWS ON THIS BUSINESS BEFORE CONSIDERING BUYING A VEHICLE FROM THEM.If this is how they try to get prospective consigners vehicles, how do you think they will treat you as a buyer? As for Christopher Roland, He needs to get some training or go back to flipping burgers.

I purchased a vehicle from them roughly a month ago from out of state. Was inspected by a gentlemen named Bill Evans (they recommended him.) Upon purchase they told me the vehicle has been sitting and just had “some bad gas, needs plugs and wires, a can of Cfoam and you’re good to go!”The vehicle arrived with issues that ran me almost $1,300. They are dishonest, and do bad business.I am a two time disabled combat veteran as well, and they knew this. They will outright lie to your face. I would be very, very careful doing business here.

Bob email the paperwork and told me to return it quickly since there 31 other salesman selling cars and without the contract I could lose the car. Bob put me in touch with a transporter. Bob, was reading my mind when he recommended a covered carrier since I bought a convertible.Could not be more happy working with Bob, quick to return calls and emails. I bought a 1979 Jeep CJ7, Cody was my salesperson, I had it shipped to NY so I did not go there to inspect personally, bad move by me. Cody assured me that the Jeep ran great and that I could pick it up and drive it to NY safely. When I got it the brakes were shot, the pedal went all the way to the floorboards, it would barley stop, there was no horn on the Jeep I had to have one installed to pass inspection. The photos had to have been touched up as the paint job had multiple cracks where large amounts of Bondo had been used on the body. The radio did not work. So buyer beware do not buy a car from these people unless you go there and see it for yourself. I did not feel they were honest. I will never do business with them again.

Got a 67 Chevy few weeks ago from Nashville. Said it ran good. New everything! Well for the price it was a great deal. My friend told me not to do it.Like a dumb ass I did. First off. It wouldn’t start. Not a big deal. Wrong battery so they had to jump it.prob every time they started it at the dealer. Wasn’t tuned with a new Fitect, so ran like shit. Oil pressure was at a 2 at a idle with a new motor! Ya right! Rear main is blown so leaks like a civ! No oil on arrival. But they said no leaks and ran good. So needs a motor not a motor. I get it they are trying to sell these but when u ask them and they lie there asses off it’s bs. Painted over rust. Obvious to see but they said paint was nice and new. Trans. Was supposed to be 350 turbo but was really 700r4 witch is a good thing but shifts so hard prob needs rebuild. That’s just under the hood!!!!! The interior! The dash on top wasn’t even bolted down and it was in the seats when it arrived at my house. The bucket seats are bolted down by wood that someone framed on the bottom of the truck on the floorboards and just bolted onto wood which I would guess it’s not very safe and probably will not pass a safety inspection. Center consul is just sitting there floating around so I could just pull it right out. So basically a disappointing buy. I thought I got my dream truck and now I’ll have to build from start. Thanks guys. Your lucky your 5 states away!!!!!

Ive been waiting to buy my first Vette for a few years and found a beautiful 75 Stingray on Ebay, which lead me to Gateway Classic Cars in Nashville. My main concern was that I live 4 hours away and was wondering if I should have trust in driving the car back home. Understanding the emphasis that Gateway disclaims that all cars are purchased as is should have been my first red flag. So, I called Cody and asked him if he were me would he feel comfortable driving the car 4 hours to get it home. He said he would feel confident driving it to California. Needless to say, I made it 46 miles before having to have it towed back to Gateway Nashville. The engine was shot. I then had to pay an independent carrier $650 to have it towed back to a garage in my home town. Guess what, the car broke loose in the trailer damaging the nose of the car. This was taken care of by the carriers insurance, which is more than I can say for Gateway. They finally contacted the seller, since these cars are on consignment, and I was reimbursed $1000 from the seller...not Gateway. They do not take any responsibility for anything, so BUYER BEWARE! They wouldnt let me test drive the car, which I should have known right then that this was a mistake. Long story short, I have had to pay out another $5200 for a new engine and brakes all the way around. In dealing with Cody, be cautious. At one point, in one of our numerous conversations, he asked me if I wanted to talk to Cody the car salesman or Cody Cody. I told him Ive been waiting for the real Cody to show up from the very beginning. A lesson learned, but I will never look at making a purchase from Gateway in the future. If you are looking for a classic car, find a local car rally and walk the crowd to see if anyone is looking to sell.

Im not gonna bash the company but youd be a fool not to heed this advice *GO SEE THE CAR YOURSELF & DONT EVEN WASTE TIME ASKING THEM ABOUT IT* even tho its a integrity issue I blame me because OF COURSE they just wanna sell vehicle... Just got the vehicle 1. Shocks are shot 2. Its already in the transmission shop 3. Front suspension shot 4. Leaking gas like water from fuel pump when started 5. the guys told me they have the truck locked up & secured because I stressed I live in a big city & need to be able to lock the doors/top..he said while on the phone he was locking it as we spoke & it worked perfect...but when the truck came theres only ONE KEY how did he or should I lock anything with no keys to the lock? Im sure they have good ones you just wont know until you see for yourself....
