Nice little store. Kind and fast service. Not super well stocked, but pretty good.

Recently expanded, still a little on the expensive side, but small payment for the convenience of having a hardware store of this size so close to home. Staff will actually help you, unlike the bigger chains I dont like to visit.

Little bit of everything. Nice selection of Traeger accessories and pellets. Some things can be a little higher than big box stores, but worth it to shop locally owned business.

Great place to get what you need for house, gardening, and other do- it- yourself projects! Employees always very helpful and so nice. Highly recommend this place!

Price are sky high, by dollars more than the big box stores but if you dont want to make the drive or keep your $$ local they probably have it.

Typical Ace hardware. Lots of product, so a good chance you will find what you need. Priced high enough you really debate driving down the road 15 minutes to Lowes or Home Depot. Had two experience where one person was able to find what I needed and another who had no idea. Hard to hire good people, I understand that.

Best place in the world. I was able to get my job done because of this location. No one in a 50 mile radius had a working pipe threading maching. Staff was running to get everyone in and out quickly. Anybody giving a bad review here just hates their life.

The store is convenient but over priced. The biggest problem is particularly with 1 employee named Tony who is responsible for the 1 star. Fischers, I lost respect for your neighborhood hardware store when Tony wouldnt help a family get their water back on because he didnt want to allow them in the store at 7:01 to get a fitting they needed and had. There were already about 6 people in line and it would have been an extra 2 minutes max which would have helped this family with kids get their water on that night. Will never shop here again!

Best old school hardware store in the LaPorte - Deer Park area. Large inventory. People will actually talk to you and provide informed answers; without having to walk the isles to find them. Very friendly, confident staff.

Fischers Hardware is a good in-a-pinch, location. Great for locals with UNEXPECTED home/yard repairs. However, you will pay extra for the convenience. Overall great for the grab-n-go but quite pricey.

Yes the employees are knowledgeable and friendly but you had better check their prices, sky high. A 2 X 2 piece of sheetrock cost $9.90 . Tony told me that they dont have their usual supplier. Cant hardly get any. Good reason to jack up the prices. Home Depot sells the same thing for $3. I try to buy locally but please.

Just like a hardware should be. Not like Loews where you cant find anyone to help you. Young man was able to cut my chains, find the S-hooks, and give me good advice on what size screws I was going to need. Like stepping back in time 40 yrs! I LOVE this place.

They are very knowledgeable about where their supplies are. The are very helpful. Had to return something and had no problem at all to get the right item. Also have a variety of great looking plants.

During this Pandemic, NONE of their employees are wearing masks. They only had a small hand written note posted at the register to practice social distancing. Since I have a lung condition and was wearing my mask, I asked the cashier why they weren’t wearing masks. She said because they don’t have to wear them. I told her I was high risk and getting Covid 19 might be fatal for me. I told her that policy showed no regard for their customers. I thought this was a nice neighborhood hardware store where they might be more focused on their customers than the large chains. I’ll be going to the large chain stores who are operating with the safety of their customers in mind. They have staff at the doors to monitor distancing, wear masks and use their loud speaker to caution about maintaining social distancing.

Ive been coming to this store for 27 years now and usually find what Im looking for. On an added note they have opened up more space within the last couple years and have cry good tooks would give five stars but they dont give the free popcorn for the first time in all these years due to corona

Everytime I go to Fischers the staff always asks if I need help which is both unnerving and impressive. Most of the time the signs are plenty to find what you need but if you ask the staff for help they always know where the item is.One thing I have learned is that I do not like the quality of their store brand tools. The times that I opted for one of their tools over an established brand I always regret the purchase later. Buy quality tools when you can and save yourself the disappointment later. Klein Tools are my favorite so far.

They are okay for a small store and being that there isnt any where else to go on this side of town for tools and what not. BUT THEY ARE WAY PRICIER than other tool places and on 3 different occasions they did not have what I was looking for :(

Ive always tried to support them with my business. Especially since their staff is very helpful and moderately knowledgable, but I cant give more than 2 stars after today. Its pretty understood that with a small local shop, you will pay a little extra over the big box stores, and I dont usually have a problem with that. Searched their online store for a product before I made the drive and saw that they carried it. When I got there I noticed they had it marked up from their own website. Online price, $31.49....in store price, $41.99....big box store price, $24.99. I asked if they would honor their own online price and I was told No. I was fully willing to pay the extra $6.50 over the box store price, but come on! A $17 dollar mark up on a $25 box store product is hard to swallow, but a $10.50 mark up from your own online price that you wont honor is unacceptable! As a side note, this product was not on sale at online, or in either store. Those are just the regular posted prices. Disappointing since they are the last local hardware store. Sorry, I cant support that kind of local business practice.....

Had to go find another turkey fryer pot. Was fortunate to be able to find it after going to several stores right here at my own local hardware store. Plus a nice guy helped me look for it. Thanks Fischers!

Prices are for the most part as good as your favorite Big Box store -- but the SERVICE is WAY BETTER. Other Mom and Pop HW stores have similar levels of service but are usually more expensive than Big Box. Theyve been able to help with multiple plumbing projects I decided to tackle this past week or so...would not have been able to get what I needed in a find-it-yourself place. Definitely a better go to place than driving 8 miles to Big Box for those todays a good day to tackle the ... projects.

This place is a One-Stop shop. If you cant find it here you probably dont even know what youre looking for. Im a guy with lots of hobby projects and I can easily get lost in this person for hours. It is a little more on the pricey side though.

Fischers Do it Best is a great convenience hardware store. After outside enhancements and doubling the inside floor space, they have a lot more products offer than before. And unlike the big stores, you will never have trouble getting help.

Bought an $1800 smoker and noticed some of the parts were missing from THEIR store assembly, notified the manager to only be told they are not an authorized retailer for Traeger and that he wasnt the person who assembled it, so he wasnt sure what to tell me about my problem.

I went in to get keys made . Not only did the keys not work but after using my bank card for the transaction my account was compromised and my account was emptied out took all my money .and when I took the keys back and told them what had happened the owner said I TOOK YOUR MONEY WHAT YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT! we will see.

My husband and I recently moved to Shoreacres & we needed a few things, our friendly neighbors recommended Fischers. The staff was friendly enough, HOWEVER, Id purchased 2 cans of Do It Best foaming hornet& wasp killer. Both cans of spray sputtered for about 10 sec of use & didnt faze the Hornets roughly 9ft away, the can states it kills on contact & reaches 20ft. I took the cans back to the store to exchange them, given we tried both cans for about 10 seconds each. I was told they couldnt be exchanged because they were used. I stated no can should be remotely empty with only 10 sec of use. I was given the eye roll by the manager. I did purchase a can of Bengal foaming hornet & wasp spray and it actually performed as promised. I will not be returning to Fischers for anything. We will take the drive to home depot in Kemah area instead. Id rather make the drive there than to be treated the way I treated today by the manager at Fischers. I wouldve been satisfied with am even exchange of 2 working cans of the same product that didnt sputter.
