I would have given them zero stars but there isn’t an option. I do not recommend this shop at all. They scrapped my sisters cars and won’t give answers as to why they did it. They didn’t even contact her and she has the titles and keys to BOTH cars

My car gets really tough duty. I am really hard on cars, thats why over the years Ive gravitated to only using Scooters. I simply have to have a mechanic that I trust completely and absolutely. How much do you think its worth to have a mechanic that will not replace a part until it actually needs replacing?People like that are as scarce as hens teeth, and if you find one, you stay with them. Scooter’s has worked on our vehicles for years and has always been good to me!!!! Scooters Place is a great business. Thay give great service and if you ask them to check something if there is nothing wrong whereas other stations say it is broken and replace it and charge you for something you do not need.

Absolutely great auto garage. They are absolutely honest and trustworthy. If you ask them to check out several things they tell you what needs work and tell you what is fine. They never try to take advantage of you and fix things that are fine. Their prices are reasonable and fair.

Prices a little bit high for a small local repair shop. But also owner allows customers to pay on time and will still do additional repairs as needed under same payment arrangement. Need better communication to customers about cost of repairs before proceeding with said repairs. In closing I would recommend Scooters Place to those in need of auto repairs.

This is a great shop to bring your car to be work on honest people work there and won’t try to get over on you. I been going there for years and the workers up there are like family to me. Good service every time I come.

Ive been there twice now in my several years living in Indian Head. This last time has made me realize I should have been going to Scooters since the first day!The first time I was there, they mounted and balanced a motorcycle tire. I went there, because no one else would do it!The second time, I was there because my car was diagnosed with an issue someone else could not fix. I called, explained the issue, and the reply was No problem! They towed it there, started working on it, and found the real problem. Called me, said the parts were available, it would be ready that day, and their quote was more than reasonable! I later looked up on a website, and the total cost was on the low end of estimates.My car works like a champ now, and I now have the only place I will take my car to, ever! I will tell all my friends that Scooters should be your first stop. Thank you guys! Keep doing what it is you are doing!

Brought in F350 for brakes, oil change and rough running engine without appointment. Less than 48 hours later, the truck was finished and running better than ever. George and his team provided first rate service, fast, and at a reasonable price. They are my go-to service station, highly recommended!They also did top quality work on my Lexus RX330. Equal or better quality parts and cheaper rates than the Lexus dealer, without the hassle.

I do most of my own work on my cars so I have a general grasp of mechanical operations. Ive been going to Scooters Place garage for over 16 years and will continue to have them work on the things that I dont have the tool to fix or diagnose. In all of my dealings I can truthfully say that he has never recommended that something be repaired that did not need it and all of his work has met or exceeded my expectations. George, who runs this operation, is very well versed on all aspects of car maintenance and repair and has the resources to figure out what is wrong with your equipment. If you need to have your car serviced or repaired you can rest easy if you take it to Scooters Place.

Scooters gave me great service. I had been going to the same service shop for over twenty years when my mechanic retired. I tried other places and just didnt feel I could trust what I was being told.Then my cousin suggested Scooters. I appreciate how they call and discuss the issue with my you explaining the service and parts. I also received a follow up text and call to make sure everything was going well. I had ran into a issue with my exhaust and didn’t have the tool or parts needed so I went to scooters and they got me squared away with no issues and I will definitely be using them in the future. I love a good honest business and this definitely is that.

I have been taking my truck to Scooters Place since i moved to the Indian Head area. They have always given great service with a knowledgeable team.

Three other mechanic shops identified my F350s needs as beyond their scope, and each pointed me to Scooters as where the truck stops... Scooters has each time I visit them, NOT passed it on, but have creatively, and expertly gotten me back in the drivers seat.

Took my hardly running 307 equipped 1986 olds 442 to these guys off of a recommendation to get a new carb, intake manifold, distributor and headers put on. Not only did they install everything correctly, they dialed the timing and carb in. That was three years ago and the car is still running like a champ. If they wasnt so far from my house I would take all of my cars here.

Im a new customer. George and Bubba are likable, straight shooters who run an honest, competent shop. I base that on my experience from having a 60K mile service on a Subaru Outback and the repair on my much beloved Lexus RX300 that babied me for 250K+ miles,A few notable points: 1) A big thank you to the mechanic who saw that the Subaru air filter did not need replacing though the maintenance schedule called for it (shows their attitude toward customer service and not doing unnecessary work); 2) Diagnosing the check engine light on my soon-to-be antique Lexus is not necessarily easy. Scooters replaced two components but the light came back on about 200 miles later. Within an hour of dropping it off the second time, George and his team isolated a faulty part that previously had tested good. (As I write this review, George texted me asking about the Lexus. Thats never happened to me.Would that make him a car doctor following up on his patients condition...to make sure that everythings OK?); 3) When I picked up the Lexus, I off handedly mentioned to George that I had forgotten to ask him to do an oil change. As far as I could see, all of his bays were full yet he told me to go warm up the engine and come right back for the oil change. He directed me to an empty bay that I didnt see. And, while the car was lifted up and draining oil, he replaced a spare tire on the car with a new tire I had in the trunk. Because of the time he gave, he saved me from the aggravation of changing the tire at home and having to schedule a new trip for an oil change.Hopefully, I wont have to return to Scooters anytime soon but I know where to go when I need my cars serviced,
