They told me 1 in 11 appliances are returned because they dont work. Neither of the dishwashers they sold me are functional.They sell appliances that are missing the plug which forces to to buy the missing equipment separately and then pay for installation.Dont be fooled by the prices. It just costs you later on.

This store (and its forerunner, Sears Outlet) have kept us in quality appliances for the past 35 years for our home and our rented-out condos. Great quality, name brand appliances with deep discount prices whether they are Scratch N Dent or brand new! And it helps to have this store branch in La Mesa now (instead of only the Sports Arena location)! Am so thankful for it!

This place is the best!! Staff is very professional, and the best part...courteous!!! Theyll ask you once if you need help and if you dont, you will not be bothered until or unless, you ask for it. What kind of place where everyone walking around is pretty much a salesperson? NOT HERE! If you do express interest in an item, they wont try and talk you into another - higher priced unit. I worked with Monica and she was exceptional. Very helpful with every question I had. Will definitely be going back.
Buyer beware, purchased a gas dryer only to find out it didnt work. P.O.S, once you purchase on their credit system and your appliances dont work, they will.not refund your money. You will be forced to swap to a different P.O.S hopefully this one will work.
American Freight is no sears scratch and dent. Sales lady was nice but no warranty after 48 hours? No thanks. Pricing seems off too. Found a brand new name brand dryer for less at a chain store...with a warranty. The chain stores scratch and dent even carried a year warranty.

In January I Purchased 4 new appliances for a house I was moving into. The LG wI-FI enabled dishwasher doesn’t dry dishes and they won’t take it back. The brand new clothes dryer had a loose dust cover on the motor, requiring a factory service tech to repair.

We bought a refrigerator and it stopped working in less than a week. They sell you a warranty that you can’t use. We lost all out of groceries because it spoiled and when you go the store you wait for 2 hrs and 45 minutes. The lady at the store gave me continuous attitude after taking my money. Now i’m going to have to pay an $120 delivery free to return a fridge that doesn’t work and they won’t give me my money back they only offer exchanges. Spend your money elsewhere !
It is been 3 days I am trying to reach the la Mesa store. No one pick up the phone. I purchased a stove on Tuesday. The sales person said delivery will be the next day. First of all they delivered in the wrong address. Second I told them it is second floor apartment. They went to the correct address then said they can not take it because they don’t have the right tools. So I spoke with the manager. He has no idea what will happen. He said Friday will be next delivery. So today I’m calling since morning no one pick up the phone. So the worse service I have experienced. They don’t even deserve one star.After all the trouble that I had. Yesterday Jan 3, I drove 30 miles to the store because no one answered the phone. I Talked to the supervisor Monica. She give me a great service. Very patient and friendly. She made sure that everything goes well for me. Finally they did deliver my stove. 🙂Thank you Monica.
You can see it from the freeway, but kind of hard to actually get to. Prices are fair and the inventory is always changing. They could probably use more help and someone definitely needs to insure that the cash register credit card system is always working.Nobody carries cash for big ticket items even a couple of hundred dollars in cash. It’s 2020, get some help..
We had a great experience at this store the employees where very welcoming and helpful. We had an older gentlemen help us he was very nice and funny we bought two appliances at the time that we got their they where about to close and he was very helpful and even helped us bring our stuff out to the truck.

So this is my first and last visit ever with the store, they are the true definition of poor customer service. I came here looking for a over the range microwave specifically one they had posted online for sale, I found it in the store, unsold and on the rack. But was told it cannot be sold to me because customer called in and wanted it, but never purchased via online or in person so it was just being put on hold for a customer who may or may not purchase it. So I requested for the manager and asked him if the store is a first come first serve he told me yes, than I stated I want this microwave and he said oh no we cant its on hold, I asked him if its already sold he said no, and I asked again can I purchase it than and was told no. Than he just walked away and didnt try to help me no longer, I went 45 min plus out of my way. Than the lady who helped me started saying something very unprofessional things right in front of me thinking I dont understand spanish.They didnt help me at all figure out what I needed and just left me wondering the store alone. I really did not appreciated the trash talking infront of me very professional 😡🤬. Need to work on customer service and needs better management, will not be coming back because of there poor service and unprofessional attitude . I tried calling customer support customer support notified me that they should sell it to me if it has not been sold online or in person the manager refused to do so even after customers spoke to him. the manager didnt even bother to apologize or talk to me for the inconvenience he just stared at me with straight pure attitude and unprofessional manner as well as his co-worker who was speaking very unprofessional things about me in Spanish. Customer support was also hung up by the manager and his co-worker twice I parked next to the window and watch him do it this place is very unprofessional and very rude I will never come back to this place ever again they really put a bad image for this company, and its sad because they have good deals.This manager needs to work on his people skills and that worker needs to be written up for saying the things she said to me, especially while I stood there listening to her say it in spanish, guess what I understand the language but played stupid.
This place really helped out when I needed a fridge after I moved. I got a 14 cubic ft top freezer fridge from the salesman Nick. I was shocked that the price was under $400. There were minor scratches as it was out of box. If you need an appliance ASAP stop on by.

They said they will call when there computers were back on. Never called. We went back 3xs. Still nothing. 2 weeks went by. Went there today and they tried to change the price on washer. REALLY U GUYS SUCK. No business from us!

We we were looking for kitchen appliances, had to ask for help, an older man was answering some of our questions as he walked by, he didnt bother to stop and help. We did find a lady to show us some items and gave us prices. Not going back, not worth it.
Cant just walk in and buy a part with out creating an entire customer profile with them. The cashier system is terribly slow. What should have been an in and out took well over 20 minutes. Definitely wont be going out of my way to go back.

Terrible service, dont honor their products, dishonest sales team. We purchased a floor model that was advertised as fully working minor blemishes only. When the item arrived it was not working and missing critical parts. Contacting the store to get the missing parts delivered was a nightmare, they refused to fix the issue saying items are sold as is despite my sales receipt and their own website saying all items are in working order. Dont buy from this company they will not honor their products.

Absolutely insane incompetence. 4 separate days and trips to this store trying to get a fridge and couch. Their new system is a joke as they cannot process any form of card, cash only. Said the problem would be fixed in a few hours, funny they said the same thing a week ago. Will never step foot in this place again. If you decide to upgrade your software, make sure it works before rolling out, that mistake and wasting my time cost you a 5k sale.
