This is possibly the best experience Ive had in a body shop. I was greeted by the most welcoming voice (Tina) at the front office. She was very knowledgeable and did I mention gorgeous? She quickly notified Jacob (Shop Manager) who gave me the run down straight to the point. The prices were very reasonable. I was updated constantly and I was back on the road in no time!

Very good experience today with Jacob. He was in helping me resolve my engine light that was on. I expected to pay $125 for his inspection and apply the charge towards my expenses. This was my first time I had to experience finding a place to work on my BMW. I was a bit worried as a single woman that I would be over charged for services and be sold services that I didn’t really need. I asked a trusted friend where he took his BMW. He said the guys at JL Motorworks will take great care of you. This proved to be very true. Not only were their prices fair, but the service was top notch. The shop is nice and clean with beverages available, they took care of my car promptly, were friendly, and offered me an Uber back to my house. A true 5 star experience.

Needed control arm bushings on a 2010 128i replaced and the BMW Dealer wanted a fortune to do the work. My smog guy referred me to JLMotorworks so I stopped in and asked for a rough estimate. They completed the work today at a price significantly lower than the dealer would have charged and actually showed me the problem before starting the work. It was nice dealing with someone with a great personality who appears to be just as competent as the BMW dealer’s service department. Great work, reasonable price, no surprises. You really can’t ask for more than that.

Was referred to JL Motorworks based on great Yelp reviews. Stopped in for a headlight bulb replacement. Jonathan provided immediate assistance and completed the task in less than 10 minutes. Upon receiving the bill I was a bit stunned by the price. I spoke with Jonathan about what seemed like a tremendous labor charge. He acknowledged that he had spoken with someone at another location and that he may not have been clear about the type of bulb and suggested I wait on one of the owners of the Long Beach location who was in route. This place stole my my money. I payed 800$ for my check engine problem to be fixed but after running it, the check engine turned back on. I took it back to the shop and they apologized saying that it was someone who was working for them but that, that person was no longer working for them. I wouldnt waste my money.

Called Jacob about my daughters car running rough on a Friday at 11:30a. He told me to bring it in and they could diagnose it. I thought Id have to take it back the following week but they were able to diagnose and repair after I took it in at 1p and got it back at 5p on a Friday! I was obviously my daughters hero but I have to give these guys credit for making the best dad!

I would not even give this place one star !!! Took our mini down there to be fixed and nothing put enormous problems after that!! Cost us over $10,000!! and we still have problems that our New Awesome MINI mechanic in Upland is FIXING from this shotty place !!!! DONT GO HERE PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A MINI COOPER!!! TRUST ME!! We had to have a new engine put in our MINI because of this place sabatoging and they dont have MINI mechanics!!!!

Where do I begin,A few years back these folks moved into the La Habra area. I have only used them on a couple of minor jobs. I never thought they would screw a customer over a $100 4-wheel alignment.Be careful with these folks, its a hit and miss. Mechanics come and go and if your not lucky they will stick it to you.1. I once had them do a radiator, within 3 months I came back for a redo. They told me I needed a new hose during the redo. Stating that caused the problem. I didnt argue because I was already getting a new radiator replaced, but they should have caught the hose the 1st time.I recently heard how they did a poor brake job and wanted to charge for rears b4 warranting the front.2. This time they did an alignment. I specifically told David (Manager) what the car was doing and how I wanted to make sure the steering wheel would be straight. After picking up my car Inoticed it was still pulling and that the steering wheel was not straight. I tried reaching them several times over the phone with no results. I drove down and told David what I noticed, he agreed he also saw the same results, but that he had thought it was the road he had test drove on. Well, when in doubt you need to look into it further and not charge the customer for a job not done correctly...hello.When I tried to reach out to the owner, Jamie, to discuss my issue and get a refund. I was told no refunds for alignments (which I was never told or given a document that stated that) and I have not been able to get ahold of the owner.After both incidents I strongly recommend you try another Independent Shop. One with a actual BMW service writer and/or at least a full time Master Tech on-site. This place is shady and their workers are not BMW specialists....maybe the owner is, but he is never there according to David.3yrs ago they had techs who knew what they where talking about, now they just have hacks working their. Anyone mechanically incline can change an oil and filter.Good Luck if you choose them...

This is about the third time that I brought my car to this place and the one thing I have to say is that as a woman the hardest thing to do is take your car by yourself to a car mechanic and trust that theyre not going to take you for a fool. The one thing about this place right from the beginning, the first time I ever went there, was that they told me the options to fix things and let me know whether or not it was absolutely required for my car to run properly. They let me know that I have a choice thats where I built my trust with them and now, whenever I have an issue with my car, I take it there without even thinking twice because I know I can trust that what they tell me is true and its going to get fixed properly and theyre going to take care of me.

Jacob was very helpful. I only have one issue... my front brakes had been serviced here a couple years ago. And my wife only put about 12 thousand miles or so since then. Doesnt drive much obviously. These front brakes have been squeaky for a while. Kinda of annoying. Finally came in for oil got that done. Said he would warranty the fronts if I did the back brakes which are still good. 600 bucks!! Ive spent probably a couple grand or so from coming here. I didnt catch it at first. I told him yeah Ill be back and do this. Thought about it after and was like why couldnt he just warranty the fronts in the first place before the backs are changed. If he did that I would return for business. I just dont have 600 bucks laying around. Sorry gonna look elsewhere for service. Just gonna deal with the squeaking for now.

I called first thing in the am and explained that I had a loose hose that was nearly dragging. They asked if I could bring it ASAP. I did and they fix the problem ASAP. All it apparently needed was to be secured so they used a zip tie. I appreciate that he kept it simple without trying to sell me anything. I asked if my breaks needed to be changed and he said no. He didnt charge me a dime for the trouble.I did not take my car out to my usual mechanic because I felt it was unsafe to drive that far. So I googled Mini Cooper mechanics near me and found this spot. I am glad I did. Now I have a new mechanic for my mini.

Jacob is a good dude. Made my BMW motor work just like the sign says. Did it in recoed time was consciencious and made the extra effort to be sure we were satisfied and checked his work before calling it done right. They actually charged less than the estimate and when I asked him a favor to reset the Sunroof computer setting he did it, didnt even charge for it and Tina took my money with a smile and a totally personable experience. Wife was having issues with her BMW called a few places and finally decided to get the car towed to JL Motorworks for a thorough check. Spoke with Jacob who took the time to listen to me and exchange a few ideas of what it may be. Car was overheating and wife was concerned when the indicator showed heating up. We thought the worse a blown head gasket and complete tear down and rebuild. (Of course thats what all the other shops pointed to) and estimated the job to be beyond $2500. Jacob had his mechanic to a complete check up and pressure test. Needless to say a few hours later and Jacob called us letting us know the car was ready for pick up. At the end of the day our cost was substantially lower since all it was was a leaking Hose. Really? When all the other shops kept painting the most horrible outcome at the highest cost Jacob and JL Motorworks got the job done. Its very hard to trust shops that are truthful and look out for your best interest. We enjoyed our experience and have referred many of our friends and family. Dont settle for these shops that just look out for their pockets. Car running great and most importantly my wife is happy. Thanks Jacob!

I received excellent and professional service from the adviser. The Technician replaced the Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) clutch and the hydraulic pressure pump on my 2005 M3 and my car is running like new. The repair was a very technical job and the Technician was thorough and precise with his work.

Exceptional experience! Jacob is one honest mechanic, told him what my plans were and my wishes for the car and he gave me options thats both practical and logical. He takes care of the customer as much as his quality of work. Brought my car for a transmission problem and my car was running like its on its last breath. In the time Ive been a customer, JL Motorworks made several repairs including: replacing window motors, radiator and hoses, brakes front disks, lower-control arm and several oil changes and check ups.My time has never been wasted and the staff is friendly and professional. They specialize in Bimmers ( I think the mechanics have over 15 years working for BMW service centers) so if you have a BMW definitely take it to JL.

Been coming since the day they opened the Long Beach location. Everyone there is courteous and provides the best customer service. They even will Uber you home after dropping your vehicle and Uber you back when its ready. The work is impeccable. If something goes wrong, they rectify it immediately. And their prices are way better than I was paying at the dealer. I highly recommend JL Motorworks.

I checked out this place after I got a quote from Crevier BMW and Mckenna BMW to replace my rear brakes ( 550i ). The dealers wanted $1,010.00 and $1,060.00 respectively. This place did it for $640.00. They use genuine BMW parts, and actually only work on BMWs. The owner was straight forward and I felt I could trust him. He didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need, and they got the job done very quickly. I definately will come here for all my BMW service.
