Great Strong Coffee to start the morning. Delicious French roast mixed with a nice sturdy decaf. Welcoming patio and helpful staff. Beautiful photos on the walls and a great patio with a fireplace and outdoor seating at night when it turns into a wine bar. This is the place to go for quality coffee in La Crosse.

We live out of town and we saw the huge line in front of this place two days in a row, so we had to try it. WORTH IT! We went back for coffee and food, and it didnt disappoint. For the price and quality, highly recommend.

The food was really really good, and wasnt what I expected! I got the Dilled Turkey sandwich, and the Dill Cream Cheese goes SO well with the everything bagel. Also had the Raspberry Mochatini, which was a fruit tasting hot mixed drink. Kinda heavy for my taste and filled me up, but good nontheless!As for the staff and atmosphere, well done! I really enjoy the Industrial Cabin aesthetic with the dark burnished metal, wood, and incandescent bulb lighting. The staff was quick, efficient, and friendly. The patio seating we didnt get to use since it was rainy that day, but I bet it works really well on sunny cool days. All in all I really wanna come back my next time in the area!

Stop here regularly and the coffee is pretty decent. The service is good and I like that they always have decaf brewed.Today for a change I ordered a lemonade with light ice. They only filled the cup about 2/3 full. That did not impress me.

A nice e place with outdoor seating. Good food and customer service. They do live music some nights and a good alternative If you are tired of Starbucks corporate atmosphere and upselling. Worth a stop anytime.

I ordered an English muffin with jam and cream cheese for a quick breakfast and chose a house salad for later in the day. I am SO impressed. You may think... heck its just a salad... BUT the quality of the ingredients really surprised me. Ill be back!

I just got a B-Day gift certificate for my son which Is a “ totally grounded groupie“, it was fun for me too..the lady who helped me was very nice. I know it was welcomed by him as it it his favorite place for coffee.

The coffee is AMAZING. The food was even better. Great place to get caffeine and a bite to eat. The staff is very helpful. I wasnt sure what to get.... described what flavor I like and the barista made an excellent suggestion. I tried something new and fell in love with it!

Grounded Cafe has quickly become a must stop for us when in La Crosse. With non-dairy mil alternatives, filling breakfast sandwiches, great patio location and helpful staff your sure to have your java needs met.Breakfast sandwiches are good but the few I have had all serve sliced hard boiled eggs in place of other methods like over hard. While its not a deal breaker it was something new that I have never encountered before.

If youre looking for that small business café vibe, this is the right place

We stopped by Grounded Cafe for the first time this past weekend and it was so good we went back again the next day! The blueberry white mocha was very good as were the 608 egg sandwich, the hummus one and the breakfast burrito. The only disappointing thing about our visit was that we hadnt stopped in before!

I thought the service was okay....the Caramel Frappe I ordered was delicious. That wasnt the problem. I went up to ask for ice water. She gave me empty cup pointed at where the faucet was. It was warm water. I asked for ice but, was ignored. I will find a different coffee shop next time. Very rude service!!

Our breakfast was AMAZING along with our drinks! The staff was very friendly and the cafe itself was super cozy. Absolutely would recommend stopping!

Great atmosphere and staff! But the food was horrible, my breakfast sandwich was horrible, smoothie was not made with fresh fruit, and my latte tasted like water. I don’t often leave bad reviews but this was so bad that I couldn’t not. But again great staff!!

My personal favorite coffee shop in La Crosse. Great atmosphere and coffee. Staff is friendly. Always has local art up on the walls, often for sale. During covid times here they have outdoor seating and delivery.

Nice outdoor patio

Ordered online thru Eat Street. First time ever eating here. It was great! Simple but delicious. Their ice tea was wonderful as well. They had to call me to ask a question on the order as it was placed thru Eat Street and the lady on the phone was very helpful!

Love the vibe in this place! All the staffs are friendly and inviting! Also love that they say goodbye to you when your leaving after staying for a bit

This is a wonderful local downtown coffee house. Service is wonderful. The people that work there are very accommodating and want to make sure their customers are happy when they walk out the door. I went there for the first time a few days ago to meet a few friends. The coffee and service were both great. I will be returning.

Didn’t have a great first-experience in this joint today due to the staff. The iced chai latte and the scone I took to-go were okay. Nothing to write home about.New to the neighborhood and was excited to stop in, grab some breakfast, and hang for awhile, but the employee who took my order was so rude I passed on the hot food. All I asked for? The ingredients on their breakfast burrito. The cashier pointed at the menu and huffed “it’s right there.” The ingredients said “Siracha mayo and cheddar,” and since he clearly was agitated by a simple question, I didn’t want to engage further. Might give it another shot due to proximity, but I’m not convinced this place is worth frequenting at the moment.

Went here with a friend/coworker and tried the Grapefruit Sculpin for the first time-- enjoyed it!! The patio was perfect, not too loud, even in downtown La Crosse. Definitely a place worth coming to again.

This establishment has WiFi, good coffee and a decent atmosphere. Last summer they had seats outside which made a smoker like me enjoy my coffee. I keep coming back because there are not really any negatives I can think of, and they work hard at a decent, professional, and quiet place of business.

Short Version: Grounded is awesome & Ill sincerely miss them when I leave La Crosse this spring.Ive lived in Milan, Tokyo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and about 50,000 other places** and Ive patronized coffee shops in all of them. Grounded manages to pull off what Id consider a rare feat... they manage to run a coffee shop with great coffee*** that doesnt make one feel like one ought to be finishing up and making space for the next person. Im also a fan of the staff, who are unfailingly friendly even on the rare occasion a customer is... impolite.I think Ive tried all of the coffee shops in downtown La Crosse, but the only one I visit on the regular is Grounded.* Slight exaggeration.** Only my opinion, of course, but Im right anyway.

The weakest cappuccino I’ve ever had. Awful espresso to milk proportions. It literally tasted like milk and no coffee. I had to go back and order extra shots just to improve it. The soy milk substitute tasted weird and goopy.Staff seemed nice, friendly, and helpful.
