I looked at the whiskey shelf and walked right back out. Blantons for $250?!? Its rare but they are charging an arm and a leg. EH Taylor Small Batch? I purchased it elsewhere for $50 and this place is charging $200. The other too shelf liquors are similarly overpriced. Dont waste your time or money at this place. Take your business elsewhere and buy a nice bottle at MSRP.
Thank you Luke for all of your help. I’m bad a making decisions when it comes to liquor. He is very knowledgeable of liquors. If he doesn’t know about it he can tell you what sells 🤷🏾♀️ that’s good enough. I ended up buying 3 wines and Don Julio.
Nice staff, dealt with out of towners well. There was no social distancing or masks used by staff or enforced. Some of the issues I had were the results of state laws so Im not knocking them for that, which the staff explained. Prices were decent for a Mom and Pop type store (not sure on how the rest of TN is priced but was higher then Id pay locally, but Liquor stores oddly seemed few in the area of a college town. Staff again was great.
Cool selection and one of the guys who works there was happy to help me with selecting a wine
JUAN IS THE MAN! I was tasked with getting some liquor with the only preference being that it’s good and either a tequila or vodka. Juan picked out the perfect tequila for us and everyone loved it!
2 stars for the decent selection, taking into consideration the size of the place, and the staff, who was friendly.I give the low rating based off of the fact that they price gouge. I understand the concept of consumerism and supply vs. demand, as well as the fact that I can go elsewhere, but this is to warn others to be wary.I saw two different bottles of allocated bourbon that were easily twice the retail. Whats sad is that they know that someone will come in, either desperate or uneducated, and pay those prices.
It’s liquor.
Bad selection the entire store is a mess
Really great people and shop owners. Got a lot upfront and great varieties.
Helen, was a delight and helped us pick out all kinds of great tasting moonshine. We were visiting the area, and had walked from our hotel, she even offered to have someone drive us back, which I thought was fabulous. They were knowledgeable and friendly.
I love it! Very nice family, they have been there a long time! Prices are great! They support the local businesses and they carry a great selection of a local brewing company called fanatic brewing company, knoxville Tn.
Gave me non-alcoholic blue curaçao, price gouging, AND worst of all no staff wearing masks during the mandate during this time of COVID-19.
Great selection and friendly staff!
They don’t wear masks. They don’t care about your health.
Every now and then they get some nice European wines for excellent prices. Otherwise a good liquor store. Friendly people.
Has an okay selection of liquor and well its almost on campus so their collection is more or less representative of what their clientele (mostly students) prefers. Kinda pricey compared to other stores in the city so its usually better to head here when youve got no other choice and every other place in town is too far away
Friendly and helpful staff! (Well the kne guy that was there was awesome!) Great variety for a small store!
Pretty good selection, great prices, convenient location in downtown Knoxville
Not the biggest and best stocked liquor store in the area, but they cater to the area UT students, so the prices are a little more reasonable than all the others! They are one of the few area liquor stores that carry my beloved ozeki nigori sake in the 375 ml bottles. They deserve special points and attention for the traffic situation that the new city improvements debacle has done to them! Help a brother out!!
Not interested in racial inclusion in their establishment. Openly and obviously racist and happy to partake in discrimination. Do not recommend this business by any means.
Okay selection with higher prices than other stores. What makes the place is the friendly staff and the convenient location if you are close to University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
Liquor store as you would expect, good opening hours, nice staff, some booze might just get a little cheaper 😋
The fact that I got harassed at University Liquors today for my skin color is not ok. I can’t believe that I can’t simply park my car without being questioned and can’t even purchase a beverage of my choice without being harassed. Shame on you University Liquors. If you live in Knoxville and care about the inclusion of others, please don’t purchase from this establishment. My first day back in this city and I’m already getting harassed...#FedUpI got video if need be!
Descent selection and very helpful employees.
Nice staff, great location, slightly expensive but thats what you pay for liquor right on campus. Has good parking availability.
Been here a couple years go. Small dark. And gloomy inside. The people are not very nice
Very rude
Very convenient. nice people!
Engaged, interested staff. Good prices.
Poor customer service and questionable practices by employees. Management needs to scrutinize the actions of their employees.
Good location but spendy
Morton is racist and the establishment is trash if you want to be harrassed as a customer come here!
University liquors has quite honestly some of the rudest employees. How can you sell so much alcohol to the underage kids living down the street and then make comments to me about my lifestyle and liquor selection? Are you kidding me?
Staff is always fun and friendly
I heard they sell alcohol to people in exchange for American Currency.
Liquor drinks are sold here. I think.
Not bad
Fast and easy
Needs a bigger selection of dark liquor
Never have had a problem other than drunk college students taking too long to check out.
Good selection and cheap
The young man who works here is not helpful, unfriendly, and always has his hands in the register taking money.
Good selection
Not a good deal.
Mom and pop. shop local
Good wine
