This thrift store specializes on home decor and do it yourself home improvement. Mixed in are some clothes and shoes as well as occasional holiday items. Many donate used and left over home construction items to Habitat For Humanity not knowing they must use new items in their home building as the houses are financed at a low rate for the new owner. These item donated began this thrift store concept and directly helps the charity.
Love this store! Before shopping retail I always go to Habitat in hopes that they will have what I want/need. VERY reasonable prices. And for such a good cause!
I liked the market, and the prices were great for most of the items I thought. NO PUBLIC RESTROOM! To me, thats a bit lazy on habitat, to have store open to the public with staff, but refusing to let customers used a restroom is ridiculous, in my opinion.
I was just looking for a store to go too... And while looking I was reading reviews on the stores... Robbies review gave you 1 star because of a clover system... My question is if you have to put a barcode on merch. to sell it, why not let your cashiers have a lable maker handy in such occasions? Or have management on duty responsible to make labels that have gone missing... This way you dont loose a sell to a costumer simply because you failed to put a lable on it that would stay?
Wow, very well organized. A place for everything and signage to help you find what you are looking for. Construction materials, housewares or even clothing. Wide aisles and room to move. Not a messy thrift store at all.
Over priced, some items were within a few dollars of the new price. I thought the whole idea behind the re store was to help the folks that couldnt afford to buy new.
Ive found a lot of great pieces of furniture and clothes here and they have new things in quite often. It has a much better cause than Goodwill, so please consider donating!
There was a time when I used to give this place five stars easily. Especially when they were located on Central Avenue. However, when they moved out to the west side, things started changing, both in the way that they price donated merchandise and in the way that they treat their customers. For starters, they went to using a new point of sale and inventory system known as Clover. In the old days when you found an item on the sales floor that didnt have a price on it and took it up to the register to pay for it, the clerks had no problem giving you a price, ringing it up, and making a sale. Now, since they went to using the new Clover POS system, if you find an item on the sales floor that doesnt have a price on it, the register clerk tells you Im sorry, I cant sell that to you since it doesnt have a price label on it. This has now happened to me on the last four visits that I made to this local. Id find some electrical extension cords that I used to be able to get from this local for a buck or two and now Im told Im sorry, I cant sell that to you since it doesnt have a price on it. This is a very bad way of treating a customer who drives all the way out to this location and then wears their back out walking the sales floor looking for deals, and one who has been doing business with them for well over twenty years. Now, I could understand if they were getting their merchandise from top suppliers brand new, but theyre not!! They acquire their merchandise as a result of people donating it to them used!! This place is not a Macys, Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, JC Penneys, etc, but the current management of this local sure likes to think they are both in terms of their pricing and in their attitude towards customers who find items on the sales floor without their new fancy Clover POS generated price label. Past time for a clear change in management of this store. Until that time comes, I will be severally limiting my purchases from this local and continue shopping at the ones in Oak Ridge, Maryville, and Jefferson City for the time being. They treat their customers better. After all, some of their customers are also the same ones that donate stuff to them. Mom and I have donated our share of stuff to them over the years, but no more for the time being.
This store was extremely well organized, clean, and had a lot of selection. The staff were helpful and courteous. There was a decent selection of furniture, clothes, and other goods in addition to construction supplies, cabinets, etc. I cannot emphasize enough how clean and organized the place was.
Very well organized, lots of things to look at and great customer service!
Great stock...fun place to browse
Excellent prices on quality items. Purchase benefit Habitat for Humanity.
We headed here to donate some building materials and then decided to stroll the store. Always find something for a good bargain. I even had a hard time passing on a couple of really cool retro couches.
Always something new to look through. Clean store. Nice people.
Always love to pop in here from time to time. There is always something new with a very kind staff.
Im new to Tennessee and I used our Restore alot in Jax, Fl but this one in Knoxville was even better!! I found exactly what I needed and also recd a military discount on top. Cashiers and men in back helpful and courteous. I will be back. Thank you
Found a wonderful dresser that has a terrible paint job. Tub of Towels is taking the paint off lickity split!
This store is nice and clean and well organized. Not overloaded with clothes(although they have some) but instead they have furniture, hardware and appliances. They also have a lot of cabinetry. So...if you want household items come here.
Always clean and organized, love this store. Staff is always friendly.
Honestly, this is my favorite store! Its clean and organized. Quality goods at fantastic prices. The folks who volunteer and work there are very friendly and helpful. The merchandise sells quickly, so there is something new daily. Go take a look and see for yourself!
A nice place. Charlie, the manager is very helpful!
This used to be a good thrift store that also carried used building supply the past two years it has developed into a over priced retail store with used or discontinued items . I made my last trip through this store today 11/16/2019 if I have to pay new price for it I will go to a place where the stock is new and hasnt been discontinued. And by the way everything that I have purchased in the past would fill your largest truck to over flowing . The staff are always welcoming and friendly .
Great employees. So friendly, kind and helpful
Lots of options!! They have a HUGE selection of home-type things for CHEAP! And in great quality!!
Great place, they have a little of everything, furniture to clothes and lamps to sinks. Helpful staff and great prices. I wish I lived closer so I could pop in more to check out the new additions to inventory.
Great place to shop when you need some retail therapy or looking for stuff to fix up your home. Had a great experience. The customer service was amazing and the staff were so friendly.
I recently decided to donate some items to this charity with the hope of providing them with a source of revenue for their clients. Unfortunately, my experience with their collectors left me with a horrible sense of humiliation. They scrutinized every item as if it were substandard garbage even though I reminded them repeatedly it was used merchandise but still good quality stuff.I am aware that their goal is to to provide funds for their organization but I have learned over the years that one mans garbage is another mans treasure. One can not predict what will sell and what will not sell but by treating donors so shabbily they may not have to worry about selling anything in the future.
Wonderful staff - friendly and helpful and great unexpected finds at low prices
Wonderful place to shop for home improvements. The prices will amaze you and it all helps habitat for humanity.
I couldnt believe the selection on furniture and the prices!! Will definitely be going back.
I visit here on a regular basis. they have always had a large selection of furniture here- couches, tables, hutches. they also have a large selection of kitchen sinks, counter tops, vanities, kitchen cabinets, light fixtures and bathroom fixtures. they do have some appliances. take a look here before you buy new. I am a very cheap person so I am more likely to buy used than new. if you are a handyperson you will like this place. easy enough to find. again take a look here before you buy new
Stopped here on my way from Ohio to Georgia .wish I brought a truck, this place is amazing. Excellent prices, friendly staff and huge selection of items. Very clean and well worth the detour.
Good selection, great prices(2pair pants,1 pair shorts/$22), kind help!!! Who could ask for anything more!!
Clean, but very high prices. They are charging more for windows and cabinets then Lowes and Home Depot do for new ones. Not worth it. They had a Kate Spade purse and they wanted double for what I could buy it was from the company. They should really have someone who knows what they are doing and looking at do the pricing. Sorry but I will not be returning.
They are a to pricey, all these type stores are high priced here in the Knoxville area. Little Rocks stores are much bigger and affordable for everyday people as well as contractor type people. Not everyone has a lot of money to spend to fix up their homes like me, I go to these places to help make my home nicer and to get things to repair things and I cant even afford the second hand stores that are supposed to be all about helping folks help themselves. Its sad!!
This place is really great if youre looking for furniture or you like to DIY. The prices on those types of items are usually very good. There are usually better options for clothes and shoes, and their apparel section is pretty sparse. Employees are very nice.
Went to store in Maryville, TNWouldnt take most merchandise because box was wet. Tiles dont go bad when the box is wet. Nothing in load was ruin by the rain, only the boxes got wet.
I can always find something unique here. Easy and fun little thrift store. Great place to find gently used furniture and home improvement items. Reasonably priced most of the time.
The Knoxville Habitat for Humanity thrift store rocks. I volunteered at the store for over five years. The staff is awesome and the volunteers that work the front registers to help the public work for free to keep prices down. The thrift store where I live now IS over priced. Inventory is always the same. If you want a better deal? Volunteer at the store. You might earn a discount after a while! Miss you guys Kevin, Charlie, Sandy and the guys! Elizabeth
When this Outlet of Habitat Humanity moved from Merchants Road in Knoxville to the downtown West Shopping Center they went from one of my favorite places to shop to an outrageously expensive, unfriendly, gouge shop! All these people are interested in now is money! The ladies that work there are as unfriendly as any you will ever meet! Their process are approximately three to four times higher than they were when they were on Merchants Road. I cannot warn you to stay away from this place enough! Its worse than going to a high-end retail shop. Most items you will find on their shelves you can find cheaper in a retail store!
I love this store for paint and furniture. Some prices are adjusted to their West Knoxville clientele, I dont agree with. Great location, huge store, FRIENDLY STAFF. Open until 6pm.
Always a good place to find hard to find items for the house.
In my original review we found the bthrms dirty and the items over priced, after returning this past weekend. I am glad to say that the bthrms were clean that some of the items were priced more reasonably! Thanks to the company for listening to my concerns. We have been avid supporters of the Habitat Mission for the last 10 years! Keep on improving and helping the community Habitat!
The people working their are very helpful.
Lots of surplus building materials to choose from. Stop changes regularly, so if youre looking for something specific, you might need to come back often. Prices are great.
A great place that has everything for your home. They get new stuff everyday too. Super nice staff.
Found a lot of bargains. Best Restore Ive been too. Large selection of everything, even clothing, jewelry and purses. Will be back!
Really cool store. Good quality, discounted, used appliances, furniture, clothing and tons of other building materias.
Store has a little about everything new and used well worth to go there to see what it might have if you need something for your house or project youre doing
Always a great experience here. Nice people. Great finds. Good prices.
Way over price do not go here waste of time $300 for a sink bowl who is doing the pricing ppl give you all this stuff for free and you charge this
They have building supplies, but also a very nice selection of used furniture at really good prices.
Im a disabled veteran who originally thought H4H was a non profit charitable organization that may be able to help us build our new home after coming back home after 30 years to TN. I quickly learned you must prove to be practically homeless in order to receive any assistance. I initially did use them to comparison shop for our furnishings but find them to be in fairly poor condition and overly priced. I did buy some subway tiles and grout for reasonable second prices but see the Knoxville branch no longer carries that? Ive also bought some deck paint for reasonable rates and new paint brushes that were half price compared to Ace Hardware. I found their sinks and toliets fair priced, although we chose new for our new home. I found their cabinets over priced as you can get unpainted for a mere 25% more. I volunteer at a church charity that is of similar setup and find H4H overall prices to be 25+% more than us. Their clothing is extremely overpriced. You can buy new for $25 shoes, $7 clothes items. The only thing I saw of reasonable price was mens suit coats for $8 and suits for $12 which is what we charge at our clothes closet. Sorry but I think you need to re-think who your customer base is.
One of my favorite thrift stores in Knoxville. Great store with a great purpose!
Great place to shop. U can fine great peice on manythings at times. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
It seems like their selection changes daily and you can always find most anything you need for home improvements at a great price and most importantly for a good cause!
We purchased a couch from this location and when we got it home, we realized that it smells like dog piss. VERY badly. I febrezed the heck out of that thing AND left the patio door open all night to hopefully let it air out, but no go. Woke up this morning and sat on the couch to play some Playstation 4 and I swear it still smelled like it. Nearly made me sick just sitting there. Why would HFH sell something that is damaged like that? It was only $45 but still. That is gross and disgusting to offer somebody anything that an animal has used as its own personal toilet for only God knows how many years. I wish we could return it. We will probably just donate it back to them and stick with our existing couch. Not worth it.
Nrw improved store nice...
Love shopping here and would give 5 stars, but some items seem too pricey...
For a thrift store their prices are high....people go to thrift stores because they cant buy new. I realize they need to make money ey but you dont expect to spend over 100.00 on used dresser.
Almost always find something here I need.
Clean, well stocked store
Real clean good quality. Worth going so.check it out.
You can find some great items for cheap. Awesome deals.
Their prices on used items are as expensive as the reg stores. I understand they have a cause but shew I didnt want to pay for someones house by myself.
Great items, friendly and helpful staff. Found what I was looking for and more
Great thrift store. Friendly helpful staff.
Lots of volunteers helping to raise money for a great cause! They love to get donations!
Had a nice selection but prices seemed a little high to me.
Decent stuff varying almost daily at decent to great prices.
Its a good place to find cheap building supplies for projects and it helps people
I used to be a fan for both the charity and their ReStore bargains. Prices have risen in the last six months to the point that they are as or sometimes more expensive than KARM for things like furniture and housewares. The store is tidy and volunteers are helpful but sizeable price hikes with no explanation leaves them low on my list. I bargain hunt for fun but it feels wrong to fundraise from the wallets of customers who may be fixed or low income and who genuinely need fairly priced furnishings for their homes.
Best place for these services if you are a vet.
Very nice people and stuff as well as affordable prices
Great house remodeling and repair items. I like Habitat because the money helps the community and I find all sorts of deals.
Reasonable prices, helpful staff of volunteers. . . Inventory is always changing.
Love it. Bought some light fixtures there for real cheap
Great place friendly staff, donate or buy for a great cause
Excellent for making your dollar stretch.
Great Employees, Good Savings on Building Products and Varied Donations!
Had some nice high end lighting!
Good place to find stuff that you can use cheap.
Nice store, good prices, but has prices written on a lot of the merchandise.
Friendly staff and anything you want at great prices.
Thisnplagebis huge and get good for, home building and individual projects.
I love this store. The staff always so friendly and helpful.
Way over priced! You should be ashamed to use the nonprofit and charitable name! It should be illegal
Great place to shop for second hand materials.
Some surprisingly nice stuff at reasonable prices.
Easy parking; pleasant, helpful staff
Nice people,good price for vanity.
Has some nice things, but many items ruined with sharpie pen prices. Pottery, wood, books.
Store is well kept and nice gently used furniture
Awesome place with great prices and for a good cause
Great place for needed items in fixing your home
Lots of stuff to choose from and good prices on most of it.
Awesome prices on building supplies for projects around the house
Ive been there twice and plan to go again. Variety of hardware, excess building materials, used furniture,etc.... Existing stock changes often so it makes you want to find out whats new...
