Grossly incompetent print shop. I came in with a standard A4 piece of paper, the most common paper thpe in the western world. I needed 4 words printed on it. And with 3 different members of staff, they could not figure out how to do a standard print job. After 10 min explaining how they could do it, they said sorry I dont know how to do that. To quote once of the members I dont think we could get it right.
Unable to do business with staples anymore. With their new printing self service station they can no longer accept cash to print items from email. So they asked that you buy a card from them to use on their machine rather than making the prints and charging you cash you have to pay a set amount for their card and utilize that for the printing. I will take my business to OfficeMax or Office Depot who still have customer service Representatives who are able to quickly and efficiently print off emails in charge you 100% US currency here in America for those prints.
I was 9 hours from home trying to work a business deal. So I went to this store to send a fax. I was having an issue with the fax not sending. One of the store associates named Brandon had noticed me standing there looking confused. He asked if I needed help. I certainly did lol... He said he did not know how to help me. But Ian in the print department was a whiz with this stuff! As soon as he was done with his customer. He would be able to help me out. It wasn’t working for Ian either. He did a number of things to the machine to try and get it to go through. He seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. He said to communicate with a person I was sending the fax to. Their machine may not be turned on. I checked with him. Turns out there was a typo in the fax number. I can honestly say the staff at this Staples did everything they could to help me get my business deal done! Thanks for the help guys!!!

My cashier was friendly and made pleasant conversation, but I don’t remember their name. The store was clean and organized and I got what I needed. Not the best deals in town but it was close by and I didn’t feel like driving to Turkey Creek. Checkout was quick and my cashier signed me up for the rewards program, and prompted me to complete the receipt survey for a chance to win a $500 gift card so I did that as wellEdit 3/25/2021: I tried to use my card yesterday and it declined. Thought it was because I was out of state. Declined again today locally. Called my bank and she said that I was part of a Staples breach😐 2 stars
I went to 3 stores looking for ink. As I was leaving someone asked if I needed help. He knew my ink was currently unavailable and another associate helped me shop cheap printers. Very helpful staff
More of an issue with just this store instead of the company. Placed an online order for a fountain pen to pick up in store. The only reason I was picking it up at Staples is because no other stores in the area had the pen. When I walked up to the cash register the guy kept talking to his coworker even though she told him several times that I was standing there. When He finally asked how he could help I let him know I was picking up an order. He asked what I was picking up and I let him know a fountain pen. He then stood there and made fun of me for placing an online order for a pen. I asked for him to please get the order so I could leave. He goes behind another counter and gets the fountain pen and brings it back. He’s laughing and says here is your one pen. Will not shop with this location again
I sent a co-worker to Staples for find a refill for his Shaeffer Desk Ballpoint pen. The same refill used in most Shaeffer ballpoint pens. He was greeted by an assistant manager, David who told him what isle the refills were on. He could not find the refill. He went back to the assistant manager and explained that he could not find what he was looking for and asked for help. The assistant manager told him that he did not have time to help him. The store was not busy and the assistant manager was not engaged with another customer. He just did not want to help. From now on I will suggest people shop at Office Depot or Amazon and not Staples. This is inexcusable behavior for an employee and far worse for a manager. Staples needs to reevaluate their staff. Rude behavior will send your customers to Amazon.
Bought a computer less than a year ago. they do not support damage to computer. they just want to sell a new one. last time shopping at staples.(UPDATE- had a friend fix computer. The screen connection had become loose. Super easy fix, Staples did not bother to even give it a once over, just said it was unfixable and tried to sell a new one. I stand firmly behind this review. Shop elsewhere.)
We had an excellent experience here making a difficult product return. The Oak Ridge Staples staff would not help us, but Chris, the sales manager at the Knoxville branch, went out of his way to assist. We immediately decided to buy a new computer from this store rather than back at our home store in Oak Ridge (which we will not be using again for any major purchases). Highly recommend this place for its honest & courteous staff.

Good store with friendly staff. Always seems to have a better selection of ink jet cartridges than other stores, albeit at higher prices. Checkout is not necessarily something that the Easy button covers... long wait at times and credit card processing is longer than normal.
I was amazed that not one associated approached us for help. Or even gave a simple hello.. I came here to buy a desk and was never approached. Staples just lost a near 400.00 dollar sale.
Ordered a print-job online on Tuesday night, ready to be picked up Thursday morning. When I arrived, they not only had it ready for me, they also noticed that each page (front and back) contained 2 invitations for our daughters 3 yr old bday party and had cut the invitations for us! In addition, they threw in correctly sized envelopes for us to put the invitations in. I will definitely be using them again in the future. Thank You to the 3 awesome print desk staff I talked to and to anyone involved in the printing area!
I came in for technical support without an appointment. Cliff, the technical and service manager, helped me on the spot to get my hard drive to boot up, cleaned it up, deleted programs and downloaded another program to make my older Dell computer run faster and better. He was polite, knowledgeable, did not talk down to me and asked my permission to delete programs. It was a very busy time in the store and he was obviously in charge of a number of staff, getting them assigned to their duties. He did that seamlessly and professionally. I asked him at the end how much I owed him. He gave me a firm handshake and told me to ask for him the next time I was in. I was very impressed with the service I was given and will definitely go to that Staples for my next computer and office needs!
Staples makes it easy to design your own graphics using whatever your favorite toolset may be, and then print to different sizes and styles of stocks. This all online.Then, this specific location gets that done in a quick and professional manner. The print staff are always helpful and responsive in my experience. I have used their services many times.All this plus quality at affordable prices.

Came in at 5:00 on a Tuesday needing 40 color copies made. I was told by the 3 people standing around behind the counter that it wouldnt be ready until tomorrow. Good thing there is an Office Max 4 miles away that was able to print my order in 15 minutes.
I went there for the sales on back to school items but you couldnt tell how much items in the aisles were due the way signage was posted and hardly anyone around to ask questions. When we went to the register they didnt have sale price in their computer and we had to go back to find the prices on some items. Then I was never asked to sign a receipt after charging the items. If you are having a sale make certain everything is in the computer and there is good signage; would be good if people were floating to help customers.

Absolutely terrible. They have awful customer service. The lady behind the service desk didnt want to give us the time of day. She wouldnt help us with the questions we had and kept rolling her eyes acting as if we were an inconvenience. She would not help with anything so we looked up what we needed to do on our own computer and once we found out we came back in 2 minutes later to get what we needed printed and then she proceeded to tell us that they could not print what we needed because they just had a big order come through. We only needed 11 pieces of card stock printed. 11 pieces. When I spoke to the assistant manager he told me that he could not help us. I also told him about the service we received from his employee and he just shrugged us off. We are from out of town and needed 11 pieces printed and they treated us terrible. Do not go to this staples. As a matter of fact we took our business down to the UPS store.
I have had terrible service from this store. This not on one occasion, but on several occurrences over several months. They have been my default office supply store since they are the closest office supply store to my home, but no longer. I have called to get confirmation on product availability and been refused to get a (single) repeat of a model number because the employee [already told [me] what it was.] I suppose confirming that a customer has the correct information isnt encouraged.I rarely get asked if I need any help. I spent about a half hour looking at office furniture today before getting any service. The only reason I was there was because I was told the item I was looking for was in stock as floor models that were described as in new condition after the employee checked to make sure they were in stock. (Im assuming visually since it took the employee several minutes to check.) They were not: broken pieces, punctures in the finish, and a white unidentifiable substance on the back of one. Exchanging broken for non-broken (or disgusting for relatively clean) pieces was denied. Did I mention that floor models were quoted as being sold for FULL PRICE? Unbelievably bad service from this store.Oh and Staples, Im writing this review from your competitors furniture department....further from my home. I will gladly do this from now on to get better service.

Good staff, VERY clean store, out of twist erase III mechanical pencils for two weeks (it is a very popular item, so the store should know to be well stocked). If their stock improves and becomes consistent then this review would be five stars.
Manager is very rude. I was told as long as I have the receipt and box I can return the item any time because I was worred about the cheap quality. I was able to finally borrow a truck and tried returning it 1 1/2 months later. She was trying to fight me saying its only 14 days even though two people told me other wise. She ended up doing it after I said its find really I can just dispute the charge. Then she gave me my return receipt and walked away. I wont be going here again.
The printing staff, particularly one blond woman (I wish I had gotten her name) was the rude, unprofessional, smart-mouthed with her exaggerated copyright rules and fines. I had the copyright right there for her and the manager and this lady only wanted to win her aurgment and found some rule on infringement just so I could not make a simple copy of a stained glass pattern that was for construction of a project. I would give no stars if I could.
We use to have a Staples here in Maryville, TN. I done allll my business needs there and was extremely happy with them intil they closed down, I dont think what you have done removing the store from this community, Office Depot DOES NOT compare to Staples now I have to do all my ordering online or go to Knoxville.BRING BACK STAPLES. This town has grown since you left.Its stressing me out bc I cant even get the stamps nor the ink I need.You made a huge mistake leaving MaryvillePlease bring it back

I recently visited this location the week following Christmas and many products were being sold for a fraction of the price. I was debating buying a Christmas tree and ornaments when an employee informed me that all Christmas products were half priced the clearance price labeled. I jumped on the buy only to find out that the marked price was the sale price. The employees should really know what they are talking about.
Cliff or Clift, I dont remember how to spell his name. But he was in the tech center and he is very knowledgable and was very helpful with our purchases. I recommend anyone and everyone to go see him when you need something done and done right.
When purchasing some miscellaneous office supplies in a time crunch, I found the staff quite helpful as I was having a hard time navigating the store. I was pleased to find items that were unavailable at other office supply stores. Thanks

Watch the prices - the promotional prices only scan half the time and the obnoxious rebates and their associated fine print will get you as well. Generally friendly employees though, and great deals can be found if you make them honor their own signage.

The staff was especially helpful. It was a busy Friday, but with my mother in tow to get a new computer, monitor, and sundry supplies, a sales person sheparded us through selections and savings.
Good location-good products-good store layout. BUT buying a computer service plan is expensive and sounds good but the attitude at the service department is disrespectful when you go to use the plan. I was talked around and felt like I was a bother to them. The computer was not ready in 72 hrs. as promised. My book marks were lost and when I called to ask if there was a way to get them back I was told he would make a call and call me right back. The next day I went in and ask why he didnt call and he said he thought someone else was calling and there was nothing they could do. I am very disappointed.
This review is for the print services only. Went to get a quote to print wedding invitations - two invites per sheet of cardstock. I already had a pdf that was ready for print, I just wanted to get a quote to print them. The lady I spoke with didnt seem to know what she was talking about (30 color copies on cardstock isnt difficult) and told me I needed to go online and use their invitation program and it would be $25 for 20 sheets. Well, she must not have understood what I was looking for, because I used their program and it wanted $25 for 20 INVITATIONS, not SHEETS of cardstock. I ended up just uploading the pdf, and it was $14.50 to print all of the invites, which was reasonable and what I was looking for, however, Staples pulled a bad move for trying to up-sell me when they didnt even know what I needed.I then tried to place another print order this week, but their online document uploader wasnt working, and with other Staples Ive worked with, Ive been able to email it to a Print Associate and put the order in. I spoke with an associate at this location on the phone, and then I was on hold for ten minutes before he said, I dont have anyone over there to get on the phone with you, I cant help you and he said their employees in print services wouldnt be back until FOUR HOURS LATER. They took down my info, and I knew I wouldnt hear back from them (and still havent!!!!!), so I got in touch with Staples in Oak Ridge and they were able to help me right away, with no questions asked. If you need quick and professional print services, avoid this Staples at all costs.
