Loved it! I was visiting from Asheville and this felt like a slice of Asheville in Knoxville. I frequented a shop in Johnson City TN called the Willow Tree which shut down during the pandemic. South Press reminded me of that coffee shop and it was such a lovely feeling. Other than beautiful atmosphere the food and drink was amazing. I wasnt sure what to get and they talked me through what they had and made some recommendations. I tried the apple cinnamon chai and pumpkin crumble muffin...was NOT disappointed. Im not very adventurous with my chai but Im so glad I tried it. It was incredible and they give you so much too! I had a great breakfast catching up with a friend while being in a loving inclusive environment. Definitely worth the stop!

I love this coffee/tea shop. Every-time I have been in I have felt very welcome and cozy. Like home. I’m so glad I have moved closer to this area and hopefully can stop by more often!! I’ve gotten a butterscotch latte and cheese danish a couple times now and both are amazing!!

I had the exquisite privilege of being a guest at their first private event, a wedding reception for a lovely couple! South Press owner, Jocelyn (sp?) did an amazing job with preparing a beautiful & delicious array of food for the reception & being the hostess with the mostest! Music selection was wonderful. Coffee was of course delightful! They had prepared a non-alcoholic rosé for toasting the newlyweds that was absolutely on point. And the whole place was fabulously decorated.

I have been so excited to visit this coffee shop for months and it did not disappoint! The decor is adorable and so unique. The owner and staff are so kind and friendly! I got a caramel latte that was incredibly delicious and was only $5 for 24oz!! Inside the store there is a small library filled with books to borrow focusing mostly on LGBTQ+ books that are hard to find! Im in love.Gluten free note: their caramel syrup is certified gluten free.(My latte is half gone in the picture because it was so good I forgot to snap a picture before I got home!)

This eclectic little coffee shop in South Knoxville is one of the biggest surprises Ive had in a while. Lovely people with a wonderful attitude and positivity that radiates. I cant wait to tell all my friends about the unique coffee shop called South press. Im glad to see that there is a place where people are accepted and love is readily available on top of having good coffee. Kudos to the owner and the employees for creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Plus our drinks were wonderful! You get everything that youre paying for there and more. We even got to see live music when we went. There was a food truck out front and overall this was just more than what we had expected. We will definitely be back!

Great environment, aesthetically pleasing!I ordered a small drip house coffee, an iced latte and two everything bagels with cream cheese ($20) service was fast enough but the latte was hot(not what we ordered). The flavor of the coffee was good and very smooth but not very hot (what you would expect from drip coffee). Still I would happily return and would love to catch a time when they have live music.

Just visiting Knoxville during my Appalachian Trail thru-hike. This coffee shop is such a cute gem. Amazing service, delicious coffee and pastries. Youll end up sitting on the couches next door longer than you expected. The restroom is Alice in Wonderland themed, which reminded me of family and home.

South Press is an absolute gem! I have only had the chance to stop by briefly a few times, but the atmosphere is so charming and inviting, and the drinks are delicious. This is a new mandatory stop for when I host out of town guests, because it really showcases the best of what Knoxville has to offer. :)

This place is AMAZING!!!! She is so sweet and hilarious. My girls loved the hot chocolate. And the coffee is absolutely delicious.... The shop smells like heaven and she has so many cool things for sale from local mom and pops places. I cant say enough gushy things because I loved it so much!!

Ive been to many coffee shops in Knoxville, and South Press has the best service, prices, food and beverage options, and vibes. The owner is a total ray of sunshine, and she has always been so sweet and hospitable. I also love that they have s space for overflow seating that has a more mellow vibe to it. I visited South Press for the first time today. The shop lived up to, and far exceeded, all of the wonderful reviews I have heard from people around town. The owners made me feel welcome and included from the second I stepped through the front door, until I the moment I left. Service was speedy and absolutely tailored to each customer. Joslynn was so sweet and attentive! I placed my order to go, but ended up staying because I had such a wonderful experience. Bonus during these wild times, everyone was masked up, and clear safety guidelines were in place! 10/10 will be returning, and I’m bringing all of my friends!

Great coffee, super atmosphere!Just popped in today to get out of the house and try the coffee.I wanted an iced latte with raspberry flavor but, wanted something special. Jocelyn offered up a white chocolate raspberry latte and it was delicious!!She was super sweet and friendly. She even had good jokes! 😂 If it was safe (health-wise) I would have been tempted to stick around and chat. The shop is really small but, theres a limit of customers allowed in the store and masks are required to enter. So, I felt very safe and comfortable to enter the store and order coffee.I will definitely be returning to this coffee shop in future and recommend to anyone to go there!

This shop is welcoming to ALL! You feel like you’re having coffee at your best friend’s house. My latte was delightful, my family and I enjoyed hanging out in a comfortable environment. My 2 year old daughter loved looking around at everything, the owner very sweetly asked if my daughter would like to color and brought over a coloring book and package of crayons. My family has been fortunate enough to be close to South Press. We were there on opening day. This place is the ONE place my 5 year old daughter will ask to come to for any celebration. We have always felt welcomed. My daughter has been so excited to share her victories and daily challenges with Joslynn. We were thrilled after the final soccer game that when we got to South Press that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were there. EVERYONE in this coffee shop have been welcoming to my entire family. NOW lets get down to it...my daughter and I dont drink coffee. We come for the AMAZING Italian Cream Sodas, tasty treats and inclusive environment. The hubby likes the coffee here. We all love to come in and feel the love.

I really wanted to have some coffee and a muffin. So I drove from nashville, all the way to South Press for exactly that. My drink and snack were absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect. Plenty of local art for sale lined the walls. Social distancing was easy. I cant wait to go back!

Very comfy and cozy was me and my wife and kids came into the shop couple weeks ago, as we where from NY visiting family and friends here. Reminded me of a small city in itself with a beautiful lady working the surroundings where charming and Nostalgic we only came in for quick fix of coffee but what we found was a not only service with a smile but a cozy little place that I’ve never seen before in my entire life only complaint was wishing We had more time to stay as we only stayed shortly whoever thought of a place so welcoming to people again we will come back

It is a fact universally known that coffee shops have wonderful snacks and baked goods. In this regard SP is no exception, the goodies they sell from Sweeter Than Sugar are wonderful. However, they are exceptional in that they made a chocolate caramel iced coffee so phenomenal they made this non-coffee drinker say wow in the best possibly way. Highly recommend!

The iced coffee is amazing and Joslynn goes out of her way to make sure you get a drink you love. I came in and said I didn’t know what I wanted but something sweet and chocolaty. She made me a turtle iced coffee and it was seriously amazing!It’s 15 minutes from my house and I drive passed four other coffee shops near my home to get there. So so so worth the detour.

I went here for the first time today after reading all the rave reviews from friends - South Press did NOT disappoint! Totally worth the drive from West Knoxville to visit this cafe. I went with their recommendations on the iced tea and had a mixed Hibiscus & Pomegranate tea with some lemon juice. It was not only a gorgeous drink, it was exactly what I’d been craving. Not too sweet, tea brewed beautifully, and so refreshing on a rainy day. Their support of local bakers, artists, and being environmentally friendly make this a place I will go out of my way to continue to visit. I can’t wait to bring visiting friends to show off this Knoxville gem once it’s safe again!

I’ve never felt more welcome and safe to be myself (with the exception of nightclubs which is hard because I don’t drink). Awesome, all local spot in SoKno! This is a very accepting, community-based location and has great coffee. Be sure to bring your own cup or you will need to purchase one at the store as they do not use disposable cups. The paper straws and cups for sale are super cute.

South Press is a welcoming space, especially for queer folks. It is nice to have a safe, sober space for once. The owner is extremely kind and will do everything to make sure your drink is perfect! They offer dairy free options as well! Joslynn had the wonderful idea to get everything that she could second hand to reduce their carbon footprint, and the shop uses compostable cups that return to the earth in 3 months! If you’re hanging there for a bit, you can choose your own unique mug off the wall! This is my new favorite spot. They also have board games and comfy seating that is spread out for social distancing.
