Trendy chill coffee shop with lots of space for social distancing that also has some very nice staff, pretty magical coffee and tasty treats - they even do pour over.I went in at a slow time of day around 10 am Wednesday to three people on their computers drinking coffee and generally taking in the whole coffee shop vibe. Relaxing music, great atmosphere and can I just say one of the best cinnamon muffins I have ever had!Its right across from an old cemetery that gives it even more of an eclectic vibe. It fits, but not a creepy way. More like a mellow, literary, feel with a touch of one with the ages.Ill be back and looking forward to trying the chai latte.
One of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. Beautiful light and airy design across the street from old gray cemetery so it was just magical.
Very quiet and artsy place to get in the zone. Love how tucked away it is from the rest of downtown, would recommend to a friend!
Got a latte with vanilla and oat milk, could have had three of them it was so good.
I loved chatting with Cory (Corey?), but I loved the fact that she took the time to pull me an amazing shot of espresso (it didn’t pull how she wanted it to the first time so before even giving it to me, she pulled a new one). It was so good that I bought another to share with my boyfriend (who has never liked straight espresso until then). I haven’t had espresso that good in a VERY long time!
The barista Cory was super friendly. As a local, she asked me and friends experience in Knoxville. She also pulled two espresso shots perfectly. For the first time in my life, I actually enjoyed drinking straight espresso. It’s right that you just need to wait for your right espresso!
Great little place with some great coffee. Perfect place to sit and talk with someone over a cup. Be sure to get some bagels from Paysan next door. Remedy will even let you eat them there.
Good place to have coffee and relaxing vibes. Nothing too spectacular but it’s also hard to find GOOD coffee in Knoxville. They have shop made syrups for lattes, and a few pastries as well. It’s a bit away from the cluster of the college campus so it’s nice to get out. The decor is also very modern industrial, but not in an over the top way.
Nice quiet spot for some coffee, however not much of anything else. They do however allow you to purchase food next door and eat it there.
Awesome coffee shop and the best Dirty Iced Chai Latte in Knoxville!
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Knoxville. When I visit my parents I make it a priority to stop in and say hey! The staff is amazing, just like their coffee!! They offer methodical and intelligentsia for all your caffeinated needs. If you know coffee, you know these roaster are top notch! Other than great coffee, they have a spacious shop that houses students, coffee enthusiasts, everyday customers, and the occasional traveler (me). Definitely make the stop and try some amazing coffee!!
The kind of place that is so hipster and snobby that they dont know how to be friendly, both baristas were dead faced and unfriendly. I think good coffee would have improved the experience, but unfortunately that was lacking as well, it was sour and acidic, not impressed with this place.
The best oat milk lattes in Knoxville.
Love this place! Best coffee and muffins in Town. 😊☕🍪
Espresso here is A+. Nice being served by an unpretentious barista for a change. Love the lighting and ambiance at this place. 🌱Plants! 🌿 I wish the lot allowed for benches outside facing the cemetery. Before covid, this place was always so packed with students I was never able to stay and sit.
Better than gas station coffee- pleasantly surprised. Would come again!
NEW FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP!!! Seriously! I have been looking for a place like this. The menu is concise and simple. This isn’t the Starbucks-esc, million different options, get it your way, cover up coffee flavor with tons of sugar kind of place. It’s more the, I take coffee seriously and love the quality and taste, and keep it simply kind of place. It looks like it’s straight out of Pinterest with cool down to earth people that fill it up. I got a Matcha Latte which was unique because they didn’t add a ton of sugar to it. Which I liked because I could control how sweet it was. And their Pumpkin Muffin was bomb!!!!!
Perfect place for a meeting or to set up shop for some homework. The drinks are simple and delicious.
Good coffee. Nice atmosphere. My 4 year old loved their muffin
Best place to get some work done, have plenty of space to ourself and drink some great coffee. Two thumbs up 👍🏽
Next to Paysen bagels.
My wife and I have been a lot of the coffee shops in town but this continues to be a favorite. Menu is simple and the drinks are great. Just a plain latte is fantastic and the environment is relaxed with a comforting murmur of conversation. Definitely recommended for casual conversation, studying, or some quiet self-care. Keep it up!
One of my Favorite Places in All of Knoxville! Gotta get their Cortados!
Stellar experience! Never had a Nola before today, and Id definitely return for another. The foliage scattered across the store gives it a cool, modern vibe, and the folks working there were a delight. You honestly cant beat local!
Unfortunate that their doors were locked more than 30 minutes before the closing sign posted on the window stated. As much as I prefer local > chains, the Starbucks down the road was very nice and helpful.
The design inside was nice. Service was good. I saw the have beer and hard coffee. A very solid choice of coffees. Will visit again.
One of the best coffee shops in Knoxville, has a great vibe and the baristas are always super friendly and helpful
Better known as my office on Thursday mornings. It’s right next to the best bagel shop in town, so they are sort of a symbiosis of carbohydrates and caffeine (still unsure why they haven’t knocked out a walk through door in between for rainy days). Remedy is usually full of people but relatively quiet as most are here to study or work. Remedy’s approach is to keep it simple with an uncomplicated menu and a focus on quality coffee and friendly service. Best in Knoxville in my opinion.
Great coffee. Nice ambience.
Delicious and beautiful coffee and a wonderful chill atmosphere. Staff is amazing and I love places like this. I say beautiful coffee because the coffee (at least the latte I ordered), was presented beautifully with awesome vanilla artwork sitting on top. The music is an awesome blend of coffeehouse and chill hop. Perfect place to do work or just quietly relax with some friends. 10/10, better than Starbucks.
This coffee shop was such a pleasure. The barista mentioned one of the workers there loves plants and you can tell. They have decorated the room with plants everywhere and it is lovely. It was a quiet atmosphere with plenty of sitting. Most importantly, however, the espresso drinks were absolutely wonderful. I ordered the latte with oat milk and Ill be coming back for another one.
The best cappuccinos
Love the atmosphere of this coffee shop. Their beans are strong, which I love cold or hot. They now offer a good variety of teas. Parking can be tricky on weekends but this place is worth a try!
They make a really great latte here. Both hot and cold are delicious!
I usually get lattes with no flavoring because I don’t like the flavor syrups most cafes use. But at Remedy they make infused simple syrups in-house & they’re delicious! Friendly staff, relaxed vibe, great drinks, definitely recommend.
Great coffee! I recommend the cappuccino and mocha. Very cool vibe and interior.
Phenomenal cold brew! Best I’ve ever had!! Will be back next time I am in Knoxville!!!
Whats not to love? The asthetic was beautiful, simple but elegant at the same time. Very clean place and friendly staff and owners. The set up of the place is spacious but not empty looking. Fair prices too!! If youre in the area I recommend dropping in.
Great place and an absolute staple to the Knoxville coffee shop scene.I come for the coffee but I stay for the well lit and relaxed atmosphere... and, of course, those groovy jazz tunes. My one suggestion is I wish yall sold some craft beer or wine to help me chill during those later night hang outs with my fellow Knox-villains.Great Job.
Im going to go out on the limb here and say this is the best cappuccino Ive had at any coffee shoppe in Knoxville. I also like the way they do hot tea in the personal glass tea pot that strains the actual tea leaves when you pour. Offering stevia would be a welcome addition. Parking is abysmal and depending on the day of the week and time of the day, you just might be driving around for quite awhile before you find a place to park.
I am giving 4 stars due to the fact that the cups they offer alongside the water are plastic, and they dont offer recycling (I asked). While I understand that plastic may be necessary for to-go orders, its totally avoidable for people dining in. So wasteful.
Very nice! Free wifi! A diamond in the rough!
My mocha was alright. The cold brew tasted odd. I want to say it was more on the sour side than any other flavor. The place has a good atmosphere, good vibe, very spacious. Probably a good place to study. I liked the location, next to the cemetery. Kinda pricey though.
Great atmosphere for studying! The building is spacious with plenty of sunlight streaming in. Less buzz than the other coffee shops Ive been to, which I prefer. Coffee is also delicious, and they offer a good selection. The price is what you would expect from a local coffee shop. Im definitely going to come here again!
Smoothest “not too sweet” mocha latte I’ve ever had. Nice layout with comfy seating too. Can fit large groups without feeling cluttered. If this place was closer I would chose over Starbucks every time.
Found my new favorite coffee shop :)
Quiet coffee shop near old City that is excellent. Great for working, lots of light and great atmosphere. The coffee is also really good.
Im not sure Ive ever had a bad experience in Remedy. From its calm feel to the folk or ambient or jazz music being played, Ive always felt at home there. Ask for a London Fog and youll be spoiled for life. 10/10 would recommend
Pros: Great spot and parking on the side of the building. Barista was very nice and helpful. Prices are more than reasonable and coffee was very good.Only con: Just one area with padded seats and lighting for us older folks.
Nice, quiet little coffee shop near downtown. The selection is great and the specials are always unique and straight-up delicious. Theres also a decent pastry selection. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is perfect for working or studying. Definitely worth your time to visit!
Nice atmosphere. Great coffee and staff. Chill place to hangout and talk about anything you want. #YangGang
They have a great variety of really good roasters. Sweet baristas and wonderful windows.
Coffee is above average. Parking is easy. The space is very open and has plenty of seating. Good wi-fi. The only thing lacking is that the baristas are not very friendly. I dont think Ive ever seen any of them smile. This is very nit-picky, and this place is still my go-to coffee shop in Knoxville.
Simplistic menu, chill coffee shop aesthetic. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the system for tipping is really odd and not great.
Great atmosphere for hanging out or studying. Great location, close to the UT campus. Great coffee with homemade syrups. Great people. Overall great coffee shop!!!
Great mornings start here.
Great coffee in a good spot. Parking isnt too hard to find and there are plenty of spots on Tyson. Love the space inside as there is quite a bit of room and plenty of tables for working or just sitting. Paisons literally next door is a welcome addition as well.
The mask policy here is very discriminatory towards people with medical reasons preventing them from wearing them. Would not go again or recommend.
Really hip, trendy place for coffee. Good place for groups for a coffee shop since there is a good amount of seating in pretty random places.Seating includes the main area, a small room upstairs, a room in the back where there is a stage with a big table and some comfy chairs, a room to the back-right where there is a sort of kids playing area where you can hang out in the bean bags at the top, and some seating in that room towards the front window. The service was excellent and helpful when I accidentally locked the key to the bathroom in the bathroom. I think its shared between the different businesses in the building. As for the coffee itself-- great! Im not a coffee enthusiast but I can say the latte with honey and the chai was excellent.
Being affected by the coronoviirus demands, but their lavender cappuccino is fantastic.
The industrial feel of the space is as unique as the people filling it. The coffee itself is good, always strong -- Intelligentsia. The cortado is my favorite drink, probably because it lasts me about as long as it takes me to get uncomfortable in the stiff metal seats, although if youre lucky enough to get a seat in the lounging areas you might stay long enough to enjoy any of the other fantastic drinks offered here.
I love Remedy coffee. The coffee is always delicious- my favorite in knoxville so far. Also there is a giant work table that would be good for meetings. It’s on a great corner spot too with a pretty view!
Super smooth coffee. The shop has a good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good place to work on your laptop or read a book.
Awesome staff, great leadership by the ownership, and reasonably priced coffee. Some good areas for power outlets but not everywhere. I especially appreciate the mixed-use seating.
Great coffee and good vibes! Theres also lots of places to sit to work. They dont serve food but theres a bagel place next door thats really good!
I really enjoy this coffee shop! The staff is usually always friendly. The service is quick. Its a spacious spot so theres plenty of seating. The coffee is good and so is their chai latte. This place is also next to Paysan so you can get a bagel and coffee. And you can eat the bagel in the coffee shop.
Ive been here once, and even though it is by a cemetery it provides a very open and minimalistic environment.
The worst coffee I’ve ever had. Over priced for a small coffee, somehow they managed to make coffee tasted burned. Barista was super unfriendly as well.Maybe it was just off day for them, but I obviously will not be coming back...
Exemplary coffee shop atmosphere. Coffee was a little bitter which sortof sucked but otherwise awesome place. The graveyard across the street was beautiful too. People are just dieing to get in.
A great neighborhood coffeeshop. Compliments Paysan Bread & Bagels well. A good selection of regular coffee and drinks, well made by very knowledgeable and friendly baristas. Their rotating selection of specials are usually very good as well and a welcome addition to an already great menu. Nice atmosphere, conducive to studying and conversation on most days. It does fill up on weekends though, so grab a seat while you can.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Knoxville. Really friendly barista and a good selection of coffees and teas. If youre going at a busier time (say, Saturday noon) you can expect to have trouble finding a seat for more than yourself. My only real complaint is that it has a bit of a sterile/cold interior. Its comfortable enough, but it could be more so.
Large area to sit. No comfortable chairs unfortunately. I do have to say, though, their Iced Chai Latte is the best of its kind in Knoxville. Chill vibe. Great service.
Coffee is great. Location is a bit odd, with parking only available in one direction on the closest street. Still worth stopping by if youre looking for a high-quality espresso or latte while driving through on I40.
I usually get the NOLA cold brew, which is great. Baked goods are always tasty. Staff are helpful with choices and very kind. Bob is usually working, and is awesome
They know their coffee! Good variety. Decent prices. Atmosphere ideal for studying.
YUM! I got a vanilla latte with oat milk. Talk about good coffee! Not to mention it’s the cutest, minimalistic, plant-loving coffee shop ever!
The owner is one of the most genuine people Ive ever met. This establishment is a culmination of creativity and goodness.
Driving through Knoxville pretty late and needed a late night coffee stop. Remedy seemed perfect. Went in about 20 minutes before closing time and I was very bluntly told they couldnt do anything except drip and iced coffee because he was closing up. Which I understand. But he was pretty rude about it and I felt awkward/guilty for being there even though they were still open with lots of people still sitting inside. The vibe was really nice though. I loved the location and interior. Im sure it would be much better in the day time! But overall not an awesome first experience.
Whats not to love? The asthetic was beautiful, simple but elegant at the same time. Very clean place and friendly staff and owners.
I travel nationwide for work. I had the opportunity to stop in Remedy coffee in my travels. It was a great spacious environment and a great pour over coffee.
