Started this morning with a stop at Honey Bee Coffee Company to try out their brown sugar lattes while picking up a few pounds of coffee. The latte was really good as the flavors, notes blended well and it was not overly sweet. I also bought a pastel de Nata a Brazilian pastry that was croissant like and was filled with a custard. I need to find a recipe to make my own as it was very good. I loved how the owner seen potential in a car service building and turned it into a fun coffee shop.

Great views!!! Fun, trendy place with coffee much to my liking :) I love the atmosphere, as its FAR better than choosing to sit and do work at Starbucks or Dunkin. A tad bit pricey, but is WELL worth it for the extra pizazz workers put into making every customers coffee!

First off, what coffee place doesn’t have half and half? This is so crazy. The other day we went there at 7:50 pm to get coffee beans. Both the internet and and store sign on the door said the store closes at 9pm. We could see the workers inside but the door was locked. They saw us and turned and tried to run out the back. My husband thought maybe they didn’t see us and tried to catch them. When he did they said they’d closed at 8 and the time had changed and their internet and door signs were wrong. They were rude, arrogant and uncaring. Such a shame there isn’t a different coffee place closer.

Tried the nitro-coffee ice cream float -- its about 2 small scoops of vanilla in nitro coffee -- it was quite tastyAlso tried the Mexican hot chocolate -- I couldnt taste any hot spice but I loved the flavor

I went there with a large group and they were very accommodating. My friend had some kind of maple latte and it was SOOOO good!! Pretty good place for studying but it can get quite cold in some of the rooms so make sure to bring someone to cuddle with, or if youre alone a comfy hoodie or blankie. Nice staff and aesthetically pleasing 😁

This coffee shop is one of my favorites in Knoxville! Such a vibe. They provide great areas to get work done and they have the best Hot Vanilla Latte youll ever have (Im addicted).

Great place to socialize and grab coffee! I am a big tea drinker and was able to find a yummy cup of green tea. I learned the hard way that there is in fact a morning rush or like during some weekdays. Would recommend to check out if you’re in the market for a new coffee spot.

Favorite coffee shop in Knoxville. Ive worked in coffee for 7+ years now and currently manage a shop full time. Customer service is great. Atmosphere is excellent and coffee is delicious. Espresso was dialed in great and milk was steamed smoothly.

I really wanted to be wild and in love with this place because the atmosphere is so cool and clean feeling. The coffee is pretty good, Ive had better matcha lattes. The small offerings of food available are very average tasting. I found it to be a bit pricey for what you get. Would I come back.... probably.... Its just a neat space thats conducive to conversations not had in a hurry. But it would be solely for that reason. 😏 The service was friendly and prompt

This is a must if you like great coffee ☕and an electric atmosphere. I ordered a true Italian Macchiato, and it was close to perfection. The only thing wrong was that I wasnt in Italy enjoying this great drink.. The crew is friendly, helpful in answering questions for new customers trying to decide on the right choice. Norris has done a fantastic job of providing a great gathering area. Huge thanks.

They are usually very professional and nice but I had a bad experience today. 2 girls worked today and they were busy talking and laughing. When I asked to turn on the light in the room, one girl told me that they cant control it. After 30 minutes, she turned on the light and ran back to her seat. when I saw her running to avoid eye contact, I was surprised by her immaturity. Finally, she made me leave this place with this blinking light.

Just passing through Knoxville from PA. We love finding quality coffee shops as we travel, and Honneybee is one of the best we have stumbled upon. Roaster and tasting room on premises, super freshly roasted bags, friendly baristas, bright atmosphere, and the macadamia milk option is so unique! Can’t wait to try our natural process Rwanda at home :) The late and drip were both delicious. Also, very easy to hit quickly off 40 if you are passing through like us. Thanks, Honeybee!

I just moved to the area and tried out Honeybee Coffee. I was not disappointed! Great coffee (and tea). Lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and recommended some great drinks. I will definitely be going back.

Needed a pick me up and this place more than provided it. Very nice atmosphere with plenty of seating. Service was quick and my nitro cold new was so creamy and smooth. I wish I would have bought two. Cant wait to travel through knoxville again just for this coffee.

After reading the great reviews, I came to this location at Turkey Creek. Parking was very difficult. I ended up parking alongside the street perpendicular to the store. Walked in and was captivated by the fantastic interior. It looked fresh, clean and modern- you dont see that too often in West Knoxville.The baristas were friendly. It was pretty busy inside; the usual hipsterish/student coffee shop crowd with people on laptops...it felt more like Portland, Oregon, than Knoxville. And that is not always a good thing, in this case.I lived in San Diego most of my life. Then Portland. I was hoping to get away from that coffee shop attitude you have in the big cities...., and I encountered that with the owner by observing him a bit while we were there. He was constantly sitting at the bar- sort of being there to, I guess, control things- but then not really doing anything within the scope of managing the restaurant.I have managed several restaurants and coffee shops, so I was a bit overtaken by that. Our drink order was wrong. My friend said it was ok- and we took it. Then I had to wait quite a long time for my drink while my friend had hers.Then, there finally was a table and we had to ask for it to be cleaned (while another guy was just standing around- the female and male at the counter were doing all the work). The friendly younger guy (who was also making drinks at the same time!) cleaned it for us. So him and the girl were basically doing everything while the owner was just hanging out. So, that was a little off-putting. The owner would go behind the bar, then walk back to his Audi, and then go back at sitting at the bar (without a mask on the whole time, even though he has signs everywhere that state that a mask needs to be worn to interact with the baristas). Not really a friendly feeling from him. If I were the owner I would be less complacent. Go help clean a table. Jump in with the staff if there is a line. Walk around and acknowledge people. That gives a more welcoming atmosphere.Yes, they have excellent coffee, but good representation by the owner goes with that. If you run a place, you need to like coffee just as much as enjoying the people that visit your place. I really am not waiting for the same type of attitude that you get in Southern California and Portland. Thats why we moved to Knoxville. Was hoping for more Southern hospitality.

If you visit West Knoxville and dont visit Honeybee, youre making a terrible mistake. Walk out of the Starbucks or other licensed/ franchised establishment in which you find yourself, scout a parking spot at this notoriously busy location, and enjoy one of the most beautifully repurposed auto garages imaginable. You cant go wrong by ordering espresso-based drinks, but youll better appreciate the unique flavors crafted by in-house roasters if you order one of the drip coffees featured that day. Most importantly, the baristas here are some of the kindest and coolest people youll meet. Honeybee has single-handedly elevated West Knoxvilles vibe and its no secret that this coffee shop acts as an unofficial community hub throughout the day.

This place is wonderful. The coffee is amazing and the service is great. You should make an effort to come here. The prices are very reasonable.

Loved the converted coffee house. I have to admit I came around 5pm and I didn’t have coffee. What did I have you ask? Beer! A nice sour. I also had a few of the desserts and the pretzel.It was amazing having a beer in a coffee house. I highly recommend this spot to take your family from out of town, a study spot for finals or a meet up with the group.

Fantastic coffee roasted to perfection and then brewed with skill. Came here a few times during our stay in the area and was never let down. They even have some gf/df/allergy friendly foods like biscotti. The have good alt milks like almond and macadamia. Wish we had a shop back home too!

Picked the Honeybee on our way out of town because we’d been to another one in Richmond and enjoyed our coffee. This was definitely not the same experience. Quality control and training is a big miss here!!! We did an order ahead through their square app. Two drinks- not complicated- Americano with and extra shot and a cold brew extra shot + creamerWe waited several minutes past the committed time for curbside, went it to check on the order and the barista said “oh yeah, I saw an order come in but I didn’t write it down”. His co- worker proceeded to address his inept attitude about following the process for mobile orders. Shortly they hand my husband two coffees which he quickly realized do not look correct (obviously no creamer in the cold brew) at which time the staff responded with “we don’t have any”. No options- except whole milk.Off we go - down the road with no creamer and then I dare sip my Americano assuming it’s now at a suitable temp. To my surprise, it’s a sweet syrupy flavored coffee. Remove the double cup and guess what? “Maple Coffee”Two for two - epic FAIL HONEYBEECoffee is still quality but clearly misses on many levels of service. 1. We didn’t get what we ordered. 2. We had to go into the busy coffee shop instead of curbside 3. Barista was unapologetic and dismissive of his responsibilities. Although Barista #2 was trying to resolve the issue quickly she failed again by giving us the wrong coffees and surely this resulted in other patrons getting the wrong coffees, assumably ours.

Very trendy coffee item place that might be a little cold in the winter time. its very close to windows and has a garage flavor to it. But definitely a great meet up spot for friends, family and study sessions! Super cool vibes and music as well.

Walked in this afternoon, never been here. The lady up front recommended a dirty chai. The most AMAZING chai I have tasted, and it is so so cute in their! They will be seeing me often on my lunch breaks!

This location was a big garage at one time. The inside has been completely redone with a modern/hipster chic vibe.The coffee is delicious. Extremely smooth and flavorful. No burnt taste. Highly recommend the honey lavender latte.Even on Saturday you could find people in working on their laptops. Good place to work if you need a change of scene.

Great coffee. I am pretty particular about good coffee and Honeybee did not disappoint. I only get to Knoxville one or two times a year, but I now have a favorite coffee shop that I will visit each time I am in town. Its even worth the drive if Im not close by on business.

Finally someone who understands what Italian espresso really is. Not a roast until the seed is burnt but an almost blond flavorful bean. It is still a tiny bit on the acidic side but still very good. Latte and cappuccino, consequently, are very close to perfect. The ambiance is perfect for studying, meeting with friends or relaxing. Lots of room as the place is in a former car repair shop. I highly recommend this coffee place.

Best coffee in Knoxville - extreme care goes into every cup. Setting is neat, being in an old renovated garage. Id subtract a star for not being a very cozy place to hang out, but the coffee is too good to justify doing so.

On our subsequent days visiting Knoxville, we visited Honeybee two more times and brought friends! It was so good that we had tell others and return for extra visits! We were hiking in the Obed during the cold mornings, and the thermos we brought of Honeybee coffee saved us! Such smooth flavor and delicious.

Knoxville isn’t known for its coffee culture, but Honeybee is about to change that. Really great space with some killer drinks. Not always the most consistent baristas, but when it’s good, it’s great.These people love coffee and it shows in both their shop and their drinks. Ask about their award winning roasting or their intentionally sourced coffees.

Superior coffee....wonderful flavor. Unfortunately, the day I went they were out of caramel, which I was looking forward to. It is very clean, and is an interesting rehabbing of what was once a garage. I will have to go back for my iced caramel!

Great coffee, they roast their own. Environment is very calming and relaxing. They converted and old auto service center into a fabulous place with both indoor and outdoor seating possibilities. Lots of outlets for devices as well. I find it a cozy place to go and write. Friendly service and a fine mocha. They also have a selection of pastries and muffins among other things.

Delicious dirty chai and great service. Love that they have an option of unsweetened matcha and alternative milks. Will definitely be back soon.
