Its a great store. Good prices, and friendly staff. But its too small for its popularity. They need to expand to a bigger venue. Its hard to move around with so many customers, cases, racks, and the cash register situated in the middle of the store.

Honestly it would’ve been a better experience and I never thought I’d have a problem. I shop at the west town mall Hot Topic decently often and have been helped until I asked a clerk for help and they forgot that I needed help they had blue and red dyed hair it was brown on top. I wanted a pair of purple and black split pants down, for my daughter. And I was told, “okay give me second” and I waited. Of no help I waited around 5 minutes before asking again and was told “I’m sorry let me help.” Then immediately after that person went to help someone else and was forgotten. I was furious and left the store in anger. Ashamed to say this bad experience because of a worker who refused to help me.

This store would be much more pleasurable to shop at if it were in a much larger space. The aisles are so narrow you have to practically turn sideways to move them and impossible to pass through if there is another customer in the aisle. I cant imagine them having any customers with anxiety issues.

10/14/21 - Before online shopping got big, Hot Topic was one of those stores where the gothic, rock, cultist & more cultures can come together to support their bands,Nowadays, they are akin to sellout their space for pop culture, anime & todays bands.Their famous retro wall of band shirts from 70s to today is still up in every store since I discovered it in 2005.The selection is far better online now, and often have better deals or discounts after letting your stuff sit in the shopping cart for a day or two.Their sister store, Box Lunch is worse, both in product cost and confomist selection. They have stuff from Disney & Pixar to Studio Ghibli. A quarter of the store is used to sell infant clothing & accessories.

The store was very tight but Ive noticed this about every Hot Topic franchise Ive visited that was based in a mall. Customer service was very good and I definitely plan to return when I have the finances to buy merchandise sold here

Great apparel that is trendy and excites followers of many fandoms. A dark and cool environment that is pleasant to shop in. Truly follows the hot topics.

I used to love Hot Topic but they dont have stuff that I would buy for myself anymore.

This Hot Topic seemed a lot more cramp than most. I know thats typically how it is, but I couldnt walk past people if even 1 was in an aisle. It also seemed smaller than others that I have been to. You cant go wrong with Hot Topic though if you are looking for pop culture stuff.

Everyone there was really nice and helpful. I love my new bikini and cant wait to wear it.

Smelled too strong, like they sprayed every perfume and cologne they have all over the store.

They dont have any of the cool stuff that they used to, but I still love shopping there from time to time.

Sign says max capacity is 17 people yet they were only letting 10 in at a time. Employees make you stand on numbers in the middle of the walkway in the middle of the mall waiting for your turn to go inside!!! Was number 3 and still waited in line for 20min on a sunday!!! Wont be going back to this store!!!

Our family should own our own Hot Topic store we are here so much. Our two teens LOVE this store. All of my money goes here! Christmas and Birthday money is always wanted for this store. This specific store in West town mall is very clean, organized, and I think has more options in sizes verses other stores we have visited. 10 stars from our family.

I was in line for 30 minutes yesterday waiting to come in your store. I finally make it to the 1st in line and no one said hello. Really rude when you waited 30minutes to go shopping in your store. When the manager came out and still she seed nothing but she did skip me and go talked to the people behind me. When I was finlay allowed in to the store to go shopping. No one in the store even cared I was there so I looked around and took my money over to box lunch. Where they helped me find what I was looking for.

Not my favorite place. We stopped for their sale...no sale merchandise in any size other than small.

Im giving this store 3 stars because I really like what they sell here and have shopped here since I was 12 but I must say Ive never had a good experience here which is why I order online now most of the time.. I couldnt tell the customers from the employees because the employees never greet me. They just stare at you like you shouldnt be there and roll their eyes. Most just stare at the wall, swear on everything lol. If youve been here you know what Im talking about.. Its also very very very unorganized 24/7. I dont think the manager and employees have ever done a store clean up. Youd think with all the teens they hire theyd have them greeting ppl and organizing the store. Needs a new Store Leader for sure. Come on Hot topic,Yall used to be cool.

In case you dont know, Hot topic attempts to be a clothing/novelty store with specific clothing to appeal to teen age groups that like pop music. I could probably define this better, but their web site can do a better job. Speaking of which, their web site has more items than available at this store, not surprising noting the floor space. This Hot Topic has so much inventory that it makes it difficult to navigate when a decent amount of customers are present. The staff has been helpful to the customers which is impressive noting the amount of chaos going on.Ill follow up with this. If you want past time trendy clothing typically popular with youth, this is ones store. If one wants to find the material that will be in this store tomorrow, consider shipping online at Woot or Red Bubble.

This is my favorite hot topic. The staff here are amazing and are always upbeat and more than helpful. The products are of course awesome because its hot topic.

I know they were trying to organize for Christmas lines. But, that store is way to crowded to block off half the store to form lines. You couldnt shop half the store unless you wanted to stand in line. Tanger location is much better.

I went into to the location today to get a tongue ring. I walked in the store and was unable to locate the tongue jewelry. When I asked an associate for help he tells me that all the Jewelry is versatile and I can use any ring for my tongue. Mind you the cases only had eye brow rings septum nipple nose and lip rings none of which will it in my tongue piercing. I explained that i don’t believe the one fits all is correct for this. He then says “Wells I guess not huh” storms off and slams his keys on the register and begins to curse off. I asked for the corporate number and the manager explains she unsure. I am upset at the customer service I was never rude I never made a scene I just politely explained that not all rings can fit in a tongue ring hole. And to be treated so horribly ! No excuse went to Spencer’s and was able to get 4 packs just fine not an attitude given ! Worst service I’ve ever received! I’ll never return to hot topic in West town mall again !

This is a solid store with plenty of selection and not much pressure to buy as youre browsing. My only grouse is how very small the store is. Its extremely hard to get around and their new way of displaying their Funko Pops makes it virtually impossible to see the options available. The size is the store is what it is, so Im not sure much can be done without an expansion. Most everything else within their actual control is up to par, so Ill gladly keep shopping there.

Really cramped shop. I would hate to see what would happen in the event with an emergency. My mother uses a cane to assist with mobility, and she could hardly maneuver the aisles. I feel sympathy for anyone trying to access this store who may be wheelchair-bound or on crutches. The staff was friendly and the merchandise was diverse (Though maybe overpriced). But, they possibly should consider a better layout, so everyone has access to their wares.

They have tons of cute accessories and clothing items here. Items here tnwd to run on the expensive side considering their quality but I dont mind. Overall a fun place to go to get buttons and earrings.

So I recently went by this particular hot topic to make a simple exchange because I didn’t realize the shirt I had bought was a girls shirt. I went there to exchange the shirt and the girl behind the counter (which I’ve previous issues with during previous visits but she wasn’t really a problem before) tells me that my purchase was part of the buy 2 shirts and get 1 free shirt since I only bought 2 shirts my last visit. She then brings up the buy 2 shirts get one free deal which I’m fully aware of. I just simply wanted to swap out a shirt but she kept going on and on about the deal which I kept telling them I was fine. And I was in a hurry that day so I just wanted in and out, but they made it harder than it had to be and wouldn’t stop until I got a shirt, which I didn’t see one I liked. There was one I did like but they had didn’t have my size and I checked with them to see if they had more in the back, which they didn’t. I just told them to forget about it. But that’s when the experience got worse. So after going back and forth and back and forth with each other, she started to become a little obnoxious and started raised her voice at me and yelling at me for the whole store to hear, and at that point was forcing me to get something I didn’t want. I spent another good 10 minutes looking and I miraculously found a shirt and got it and left with a sickening feeling because other people were there seeing me being mocked by these people. If I say I don’t want another shirt, then that means I DONT WANT ANOTHER SHIRT. What’s so hard to understand? I understand the deal but I don’t need a third one. I’ve never been ridiculed by a company in my life until now, and the coworkers weren’t doing anything to make it better for me and just let it happened. If that’s what management stand for and lets their workers do and shame their customers, I’m not impressed and they ought to be fired. Not only was it a bad experience, it was embarassing not only for me but for the company as a whole. As much I love Hot Topic for the past few years, this experience could’ve been my last. And that’s hard for me to say because I go here basically every week. I will never be humiliated in front of a store like I was today ever again

Best place to find quirky items to make great gifts for teens and young adults.

A little small would be my biggest complaint. Its like they try shoving as much merchandise as possible in there so its a little hard to get by. I dont go in here for much besides for blind bags anymore, but I loved shopping here for clothes and other various things as a kid. Its like a haven for nerds who love anime and goth aesthetics.

Good store, customer service is great. But the store is way too small. You are constantly rubbing elbows with other customers and employees. Its very annoying.

Went looking for a Tardis sticker because they usually have them, but go figure. They did not. Oh well. Employee was really nice and extremely helpful in helping us!

I went here for the first time last week and I was impressed. Theres a large selection of official (and unofficial) merchandise for such a small store. It is tiny, and the jewlry racks are especially cramped. I think this would be a good place to go for budget jewlry and gifts for young, pop-cultured teenagers.
