Ive bought two cars here, and enjoyed my experiences overall. But this review is to specifically hone in on the individual who made this most recent experience one of ease and actual joy (I know, weird to find when buying a car). Gary Nolan, who is one of the finance guys, changed the game for me in car buying. He was easy-going, which made me and the process feel so relaxed. He was not pushy or weaselly. He fixed every issue or question that came up. Gary was so fantastic and genuine (thats right, I said someone was genuine in the car business!) that I would honestly, willingly send my friends and family to buy there, specifically to work with him. Your dream team would be Jeff Ellis (very chill and actually listened without being pushy) in sales, Gary Nolan in finance, and Chris Doyle (so sweet and responsive to solve problems) in service. All three of these guys were awesome!!!
We went to look at a vehicle They asked for our keys basically refused to give them back We had to ask five times to bring our keys back. My husband told the owners son Im not being rude but get my keys were ready to leave and he said well youre doing a pretty good job of not trying to be rude. We bought the vehicle we drive now there that will be the last one that we will ever buy from Ted Russell on Kingston Pike
Our experience with Ted Russell Nissan was great. The swiftness in which they found the car and deal that I wanted was amazing. So much so that we drove from Muscle Shoals, Alabama to Knoxville, Tennessee to make the deal, and we have a Nissan dealership in our home town. Tommy and Gary took really good care of us and really appreciated our business. They made us feel comfortable and at home at their dealership. Ask for West and Fisher for finance they are the best and you won’t regret it.This is the best place to shop for a car and they will do their very best to get you approved for a car and I’m not talking about an upside down contract like many dealers do but this one will fight to get you on a perfect deal.
Went there because of an urgent airbag service recall. I live over am hour away and was told by Meghan I could drop the car off Friday...leave it for repairs..get a loaner and pick up the car on Saturday. When I got there Paul..my service advisor..said they dont participate in the loaner program...but he would get it approved by his manager. He did.. But it was for 2 hours only. Then he proceeded to tell me his technician would be at lunch by the time car was checked in and wouldnt start on car until 1pm. Why did I have an appointment?? This should not in ANY way be an inconvenience to me..nor should I be lied to. Beyond livid about this. I work 6 days a week..only have Sundays off..when they are closed. What am I supposed to do???

Fast and friendly. Wait time for standard oil change was less than 45 minutes. I rarely have any issues or concerns when I come here. Staff speaks to me like a person and is very informative about any issues or lack of issues that may be going on with my vehicle.
This is the worse experience and the biggest waste of time. I went to this place thinking I would come and get a car and things would be fine. Everything there is a joke. No one would tell you what is going and its a scam. I received an email saying anything goes, need less to say that was not the case, I thought that I was going to be met with star quality but I was met with barely any customer service and was told that I needed 5000.00 down. My thought if I had that kinda money why would I even come in there to even by a Nissan. No body wanted to work in the finance department, it was just cant help you and we are sorry. So then my thought was false advertisement and you just want to get credit apps to make it appear to that you are working, explains why the ford dealership right up the street had no cars and their parking lot was full of cars. Regardless of what you read this is my personal experience nothing met but disappointment and lies, the only thing that came out of this is that the one salesmen who was actually well mannered and apologized over and over. outside that . worse place . I would buy a car from them if they were the last car lot in Knoxville. I definitely would give this a place a negative star.

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought my first car from Ted Russell back in 2015 and had a horrible experience then, so I dont know why I returned. I traded in my 2016 Nissan Rogue back in May for a new 2021 Rogue. I initially spent four hours in the dealership. They ran my credit four separate times. I still dont have my spare key fob they were supposed to mail. I have signed paperwork three times now. The second time they had the wrong VIN number. This last time they told me that the rates with the bank that is going to finance my car changed. My car should have been funded around the time when I first was in the dealership. My car is still not funded and it has been two months. My old car I used as a trade in is paid off, so I cant even get my old car back. I am getting the runaround when I ask what is going on . Ive been told its because I live outside of Knox County, but I have bought a car located in Texas using a credit union in Connecticut. I felt like they talked down to me the first time because Im a woman and I feel the same this time. I have a credit score of almost 800. There is no need for this hassle. I should have went back to East Tennessee Nissan in Morristown. I cannot stress how much I hate Ted Russell Nissan and how awful they have made this entire experience. This place is a joke and I urge everyone to reconsider before making a purchase with them.
I had a problem with my daughters 2019 Nissan. I had never been to Ted Russell Nissan before and I was out of town trying to figure out what I was going to do. I called and spoke with the service rep and he reassured me that they would receive the vehicle and take a look at it and that more than likely it would be covered under warranty. This was late on a Friday afternoon. They actually looked at it, figured out what was wrong and repaired it (under warranty) on the very next day (Saturday) and then called me to let me know that everything was fixed and the car was fine. I just could not ever ask for any better customer service than what this shop provided me. They will definitely be our go to service shop for our Nissan.

My service did not require an appointment and I had to wait in the customer waiting area, which was clean, set up to be comfortable but sanitary, and comfortably cooled. My service was completed in a reasonable amount of time, which was the time estimated by the technician when I arrived. At check-out, I was given a verbal and printed summary of the completed services.
They got me in and out in a timely manner. Very friendly staff and didnt have to wait long.

Very shady experience with this dealership and employees. I found a 2019 Ford Escape online Tuesday evening for a great price $20, 988 with low mileage and called the dealership to confirm they still had the vehicle and confirm the price. Wednesday I drove 2 hours after work, test drove the vehicle and as I was filling out the paperwork to purchase the vehicle the manager got very excited and said oh no thats the wrong price. I have more money in this vehicle so its $3000 more so itll be $6000 higher than this. He said they were putting the wrong prices on their website even though the same price was on the window sticker. I was offered a free oil change for my trouble. I checked this morning and on multiple websites including their own the vehicle was still listed at $20,988 so I had my father call and inquire about the vehicle. The internet manager confirmed the price but when he went to look for the vehicle said they sold it. Interestingly enough I looked this afternoon and the vehicle is listed at $25,995. If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. I wouldnt trust them to give me that free oil change. Stay away from this dealership.

Everyone was kind and professional. I had some questions during my visit that a gentleman patiently answered thoroughly. I always get nervous about visits to car places due to unpleasant experiences in the past. I quickly felt at easy at Ted Russell. My service was relatively simple and didnt take any longer than I expected.

Dont even bother as the salesman lie and they wont honor what was promised. My husband spent time there to check out their inventory for my son who was flying home on leave and had limited time to shop around for a car we noticed they charged over MSRP as do other dealerships but there are also some that do not. I was contacted the next morning by a salesman named Mehmet and we discussed the specific cars that my son was interested in, the Nissan Sentra SR only and he even sent photos of the SRs that were available and I asked about the add-on prices over MSRP and was told that if I came in that day he would sell for that price. My son left the airport and went straight to the dealership, had his credit pulled and then was told by a manager they wouldnt honor the sticker price of the car. So glad my son got to spend his first hours home at a dealership that lied instead of getting to drive away in a car.

I won this package from WNML and at first thought they were not going to do a good job because it was free....I couldnt have been more wrong...the oil change and tire rotation is standard, but the way they waxed and shampood it looks way better than any professional car wash Ive ever had...ever..the workers were super nice and im going to start bringing it here for service in the future..it looks better thN brand new!!!!

I talked with Chris, a service writer, on the phone and explained what I wanted. He checked to verify my tire was in stock. Upon my getting there he greeted me with service tag in hand. When my car was ready it had been exterior cleaned and oil changed etc. I was quite pleased to be able to bring it in the same day I called as I was going out of town the next day and needed to drive it.

I was driving my truck when I experienced a check engine malfunction situation which placed the vehicle in limp mode. I was about 10 miles from the dealership and called the service department. Christopher was extremely helpful in getting me worked in. The throttle body was found to be the issue, and they had one on hand and replaced it while I waited.While I was there I discussed a few other issues I had discovered with the truck and Christopher was able to schedule a return visit for warranty issues on my Titan which included replacing the windshield, recall work on the taillights, repairing the map lights and an update to the transmission software.Once I arrived, Christopher seen that the windshield service could not be completed that day. He arranged a rental vehicle free of charge over the weekend.He kept me informed and vas very courteous as he worked to get the repairs completed.
Recently went in to purchase a used Nissan Frontier...ending up speaking with Shane and Fabi and got a better deal on a 2020 Frontier!!! Helpful, quick and very detailed orientated!! Great group of staff. Tracy was great at the reception and the finance manger was fun and detailed in the material. 5 stars all the way!!! Thank you!!! ....and I love the truck......

I wouldnt even give them one star. Absolute worst car buying experience EVER. These people ranged from losing my personal information to not getting my tags and lease processed until 3 months after I leased the vehicle. Then tried to bully me into signing more paperwork (with changed information). I returned the vehicle due to their negligence and they sneakily parked it in my driveway in the middle of the night! They didnt even bother to knock on the door. Then they towed my vehicle to a tow yard without my knowledge and didnt bother to inform me until they wanted me to pay the bill. Then refused to give my tags to my husband and insisted on mailing them. Didnt send my tags in time and left me driving around without valid tags. Gerald Anderson is a joke of a manager. So is his son, Shane. If you care anything about your personal information, time and finances.. DO NOT GO TO TED RUSSELL NISSAN!!!

We went to the other Nissan dealerships in the area and they all manipulated us over the phone to come in and when we got there the numbers werent even close. The check engine light was on, but I had been told by Rusty Wallace Nissan it was an issue with my remote start that was installed by another party.Paul Jordan had his team check it out and it was not the remote start, but the throttle body. I was very well taken care of, and I will be returning due to the great customer service and Mr. Paul Jordan going above and beyond.

Absolutely love the deal that was made with us today. We owed money on our vehicle and they paid that off and got it into a brand new Nissan Rogue. So when my wife was ready to test drive some cars we went to Ted Russell. In person Aaron was great and knowledgeable. Now the negative. My wife doesn’t make quick decisions and this would be her vehicle. Aaron asked us to meet with his manager before we left. We agreed. Bennie(manager) told us he wanted to run numbers on a new vehicle, we were looking at a used vehicle. We agreed then he said he didn’t have time then. What??? I guess when he heard we weren’t buying right then he wrote us off. He said he’d get numbers for us the next day. I returned Bennie’s call the next day and he literally told me he was too busy to discuss the numbers HE SUGGESTED WE LISTEN TO. Bennie is your typical car salesman manager only wanting instant sales and not willing to work for a sale. Stay away if you’re looking for a solid dealership.

I was traveling to visit family. My check engine light came on while I was 12 hours from home. Ted Russell Nissan was able to get me in the next day and have my problem fixed before I left to go home. They explained things well and fixed the problem and got me home safely.

I recently moved to Knoxville and have multiple Nissan vehicles in my household that will all be serviced at Ted Russel. I had a major repair done on my truck last year and was taken care of by Paul Jordan. I had a different service advisor this time but also took professional care of what was needed. The service area drives where I intend on purchasing my new vehicles down the road.

Chris in the service department is EXCELLENT. When my daughters car had issues while at UTK, he kept us informed of the status and he even stayed an extra hour after work waiting for the tow truck to bring her car in. We do not live in the Knoxville area, and are grateful for his attention to the issue with my daughters car until it was fixed and working properly.
