Scott is great and really cares about identifying and fixing whatever the problem is. My brother and I both got fair prices (better than fair considering the amount of work Scott and his mechanics went through with our cars). If youre considering bringing you car here, definitely do it! Cant recommend them enough!

Scott and his team did an OUTSTANDING job on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. He replaced the Flywheel, Torque Converter, and serviced our transmission. I really liked the fact that we got warranties on the parts installed as well as the labor. I would highly recommend Alert Transmission to everyone that needs transmission repair.

Quality ownership and service.I took my GMC Yukon in to have a leaking rear main seal replaced and for my 4WD to be serviced.The main seal was minor but the 4WD turned out to be a major repair/replacement. They took care of the work quickly, as promised. Although, due to the magnitude of the 4WD replacement, the bill for all of the service was much higher than I was originally anticipating. They went above and beyond to keep the expense from being what would have been considerably higher by swapping parts/components in and out to diagnose the issue and not charging me for a bunch of parts that I didnt need.Overall, they were extremely mindful of properly fixing the problem while also doing everything possible to keep the cost down.Highly recommend. Thank you for your hard work and effort, it is very much appreciated.

DO NOT TRUST THEM!!If i could give negative stars i would. They didnt accommodate for my lift and for almost a year kept having to take it back. Charges new prices for used parts, recharged for labor, etc. They shot my car, put a gun in my waist, then called the police. Then sent their mechanics to continuously drive by my house to intimidate me until i stood in my yard with my rifle and glock. They were charged and had to fix my car.They have not reimbursed me anything.

Not only did they service my Transmission but fixed my super high idle and bolted down the Transmission on my 1988 Poniac Firebird (the later two all for free ). I had just started working so this was a huge blessing!

Scott and the crew done absolutely great work on my Jaguar. There were things the found on it that could have been a serious hazard if not corrected. I appreciate the professional way they conduct business. I would recommend them to anyone needing any kind of automotive service Thank You.

Alert Transmission did several needed repairs on our vehicles. I liked that they warrantied their work, especially since we had to have transmission repairs. Scott is very knowledgeable in auto mechanics. I would consider him an expert. Alert Transmission is a wholesome, family-owned business. I trust them.

Just had some major engine work done by Alert Transmission. My car was leaking about 5 quarts of oil a week. I must say the people there are very informative and definitely know what they are doing.Scott, the man at the front desk, is very kind and easy to talk to too, he has a great personality which I find lacking from several other Auto Shops around town. He kept me updated on cars progress throughout the repair, and was always available if I had to talk to him or ask a question.The mechanics were very nice and had no problem showing what the issues were and explaining what has happened to my engine and what they were going to do.One of my favorite things about them is their pricing, Ive gotten a few quotes from other auto shops in town which were suppose to be good in their pricing, yet any other place was well over $1000 dollars for what I paid at Alert Transmission.With Scotts genius, he not only made it a great price for me, he also got me lifetime warranties on all the parts he could.Its amazing how great the service is and how affordable they made it. Ive been to them in past and I plan to stay with them long into the future. I highly recommend their work and not only will I stand by it, they do too. They probably have one the best guarantee around town and some the best people working their. My car is now running better than when I bought it and thanks to them it will be running for another few decades.

Im so disappointed with this shop. We used them for a few years and had other repairs done in the past and were satisfied with the results. Then this time we felt completely screwed over. I took my car in a week ago when the air quit blowing cold plus put out a terrible smell. I told them when I took it in that according to my online research it may be the evaporator needing replaced. Scott called me and said they found no leaks but that some motors that blow the air on one side needed replaced and theyd charge the freon full. It made no sense to me because air was blowing fine, it just wasnt cold, but I trusted him. He never gave me a cost up front so when I arrived I was shocked that we had to pay $1000!!!! Not to mention the air was cold but not as cold as it used to be plus it still smelled. Over the next week it slowly got warmer until it was no longer running cold again. I took it back and oh surprise, it NOW needs an evaporator and will cost us another $1300!!! Scott talked me in circles, just as he did with the original repair, and was even sarcastic with one comment. He offered no apology, no acknowledgement that they made a mistake, no refund, no credit toward the new repair or anything else. He seemed to just want to wash his hands of us. He offered to put leak stop in it and that was it. I feel completely ripped off. The right thing would have been to credit me the labor since you repaired the wrong thing and to acknowledge the mistake and apologize. I would have gladly stayed with them if they had. Theyve lost our business.

We are happy to say that this was not our first visit, nor will it probably be our last visit. We have found that having car problems just isnt one of our highlights. It can truly mess up your week. However, having a place that you trust to fix your car problem, explain the why and what of the problem, and then brake down the must do, the should do, and what can wait if necessary has been my kind of dealing. That is basically why we will be coming back when necessary, rhat and because the repair work has done over time what it was supposed to fix. We have faith in your business. Thanks

I brought my 2003 Toyota to be worked and they fixed exactly and only what needed to be worked on, and I no longer have those problems. Vehicle works fine by their good work, if only I could learn not to keep messing up my car. I would recommend them for a good job.

Going to take my transmission here to be fixed

Although I cant fairly judge all the work they do here, I can tell you without a doubt that if you take your vehicle here to get the transmission worked on you will regret it the rest of your life! They got me for almost $4,000 dollars and the transmission is still not working right. I took the car back and complained and all I got was excuse after excuse after excuse! Im amazed they are still in business! When you walk into their 2 foot by 3 food waiting room and have to deal with a guy that wears a gun because hes been threatened so much, youll understand what Im talking about! If youre smart, youll avoid this place like the plague!

I would like to say that Scott with Alert transmission is very honest and his employees do a excellent job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for any kind of service to their vehicle. My transmission had failed so I took my vehicle in on recommendation from someone. They took my transmission out and diagnosed everything for me and Scott even went as far as staying after close one day all mind you as he was grieving the loss of his mother to bring me in and show me exactly what was wrong as well as some other problems I had with my vehicle that were potential hazards to the safety of my family. Scott laid everything out to me as far as what I needed to go ahead and do while they had it in to keep from having to pay more labor if I brought it back because of a failure down the road. They were very timely and courteous with me and my vehicle. My transmission is working so smoothly and I have no doubt that it will last a long time. Also they ya e you come back two weeks after you pick up your car to raise it up and double check everything and make sure there aren’t any leaks or inappropriate happenings. Thank you Scott and all of your hardworking employees for everything and can’t wait to have you guys fix my other stuff in the near future

I think they did a pretty good job on my Ford Taurus. My front right brake caliber was busted up and they not only fixed it but replaced BOTH of my front calibers, put on new brakes, and did a rotation for under $200 dollars. I havent had a problem with my brakes since. Thanks guys!

I am a college student and I had a few problems with my Toyoda Camry. My car had issues starting and they fixed it. It was the alternator being old so they replaced it for me at an affordable price.I also had an accident later on, was not serious but the front right side was crushed. They pulled it back to looking almost as if it did before the accident, and fixed up the parts that were damaged inside. They also helped me get new parts and pointed me to get a new paint job to make it look like it was never damaged. Was not that bad of a price for me working at a grocery store!

Only place I can find in the north Knoxville area that well even attempt to do work on my Saab. Really friendly staff too.

We have done business with Scott through several tranny rebuilds on various vehicles and he is my first call in that area. We just had them do our rebuild on our dodge 3500 and I know I can believe what they say.

Good honest people that stand by there work

You will regret going here they will figure a way to screw your tranny up went from a quoted figure to outlandish figure to take advantage of a woman. They claim to be Christian if they are I dont want to be one, definitely not by my book.He talks in circles (Scott) and then studer when he cant come up with a good lie, shame on me i was warned, after my car was already there. Will be taking this up with the BBB and possible other people if you have had this done to you talk to the BBB and maybe we can get something back. Oh and the only thing I wanted done was a tranny flush and I am not sure they even did it my tranny fluid looks the same to, my mechanic really dirty. Will never recommend and surprised that they even get business. Just people they can deceive. DO NOT GO HERE.

It was great i have an 06 hummer h2 sut that the dealership was going to charge me $6,000 dollars to repair and i got it repaired for $2,800 dollars with an 12/12 warranty and 4 years on the converter nation wided, that great!!!

Took my edge in after they said they replaced several parts and almost $2000 and 2 weeks later, it still shakes just as bad and this place will take total advantage of people....in Respond to your remark ( you said it was the timing chain and after that it was something else, repeated this several times.i still say you take advantage of people.

The bad reviews on here are accurate. you go in to fix one thing and two weeks later go in to have something else fixed. there work is shotty at best.scott is a big bull spreader. dont believe anything he says. never the same thing twice. after awhile i doubt this place will even still be around. i advise thinking twice and getting atleast 2-3 other opinions at other shops before settling with these guys.
