Courteous, honest, fast and busy. One thing I’ve learned if a repair shop is not busy there may be a reason. Not always but sometimes. I usually like to do my own work but didn’t have the time. They replaced my water pump, timing belt, pulley tensioner and a high pressure power steering line at my request. Cleaned all the mess that sprayed everywhere when my water pump went out also. Just off the interstate easy to find. All the guys there are great. Even showed me all the damaged parts that got replaced.

Highly recommend these folks for your car care needs. My grandmother has used then for years andAlways been treated with care and comfort of her dollar. I have since take. My moms Volvo for general maintenance work and have nothing but good words to say about David and the mechanics of Jones.Thanks again for such great customer service!

While traveling to Michigan my cooling fan died. After calling 5 shops and being told they were busy over the weekend and couldn’t get to it until Monday at the earliest. This was bad news being we would have to stay in a hotel which would have cost a lot! We called David and explained our situation. He said bring it on in and they will fix it. After the parts store delivered the new fan, they had us back on the road with in 30 minutes! David was even nice enough to let me use his WiFi so I didn’t have to work on my phone. Very friendly, professional, and fairly priced. I would definitely recommend this shop!

Took my vehicle here for the first time and was impressed with the work they did for a reasonable price, there was a slight issue with a part however nothing major and yet they got it resolved. These folks went above and beyond to make sure things were right and for that I am thankful. I WILL be bring my vehicle back for my next service. The guys at Jones were great. I needed a transmission replaced on my Mazda. They not only did that, but repaired my clutch as well. Cost was reasonable. So far the car is running great. Will update if anything changes... definitely a good choice picking Jones.

I had a wheel bearing go out and was stuck on the side of the highway with my pets. I was towed to the shop and taken right in. Everyone was nice and friendly. Excellent service at a good price. Two fast hours later my pets and I were back on the road. I cannot say to many good things about them. Oh and my truck was stuck talking French for the past 8 years and no mechanic could fix it but guess what you guessed it they were able to set it to English. AWESOME.

Wish I could leave better rating. But they left things undone. See photo, connector left unplugged. Now I have to do what I paid them to do. Thankfully not too serious.

My Volkswagen Passat had a bad throttle body and needed to be replaced to continue driving it. The EPC warning indicator was on as well as the check engine light which pulled various codes indicating issues with the throttle body. Additionally, I had lost all engine power causing the vehicle to need to be towed.The guys at Jones Automotive quoted me very reasonably in comparison to the previous quotes I had received to repair this issue. They kept me updated daily on the status of my vehicle and replaced the part promptly and professionally.Upon repair, my Volkswagen no longer has any warning indicators and runs nearly as smooth as when I initially purchased the vehicle several years ago.Thanks Jones Automotive! Guaranteed the charge for a calendar year & is helping me monitor the situation in case of a leak.REASONABLE on his charges. Backs up his work & integrity is strong, he will not charge you unnecessarily. I witnessed this as he dealt with another customer as I waited in lobby. I was road-tripping around the country and had my check engine light come on. I stopped by Jones Automotive to get it checked out before continuing with my trip.Turns out my catalytic converter wasn’t operating as efficiently as it should; however, they let me know that there was no pressing need to replace it and I could continue my trip without a problem.The folks at Jones Automotive were exceptionally kind, helpful, and honest. They took a look at the car and 5 minutes later gave me the diagnosis for no charge. I will absolutely come back to Jones if I have any car trouble in the Knoxville area in the future.Highly recommended!

I was in town to visit the University of Tennessee with my three teenagers, and after a stop for gas and dinner, my car would not start. My car was towed to Jones and I and my kids were able to stay with a friend for the night. I left a message explaining my situation and which car was mine since it was after business hours. I followed up the next morning, and within an hour of the shop opening, David had my issue diagnosed and the necessary part on the way. He rearranged his whole day to get me back on the road as soon as possible and even gave me a coupon for part of the service! We used Jones Automotive exclusively for all of our vehicles, which has been a lot the last few years. Each time, David and his crew were able to accommodate us and get the problem identified and fixed. They always tried to do their best to save us money wherever possible and still deliver the fixes and upgrades. We believe David and the rest of the staff are honest, friendly and doggedly determine the problem even when the are complex or very difficult.Recently our SUV was to be driven 1000 miles and the day before we heard a whirring noise. We were picking up another car so we asked them to look at it since we were driving such a distance. He spent over half an hour with one of his mechanics trying to find the source. Ultimately they found minute holes in an obscured spot on the radiator which would need a new one. They got it done in time for us to leave and it was very affordable. Otherwise the radiator would have gone up on I-81, so once again fixes they made on one of our vehicles proved to be hassle and possible life-saving.David and the staff are pleasant and will go over everything so everyone is on the same page. We would recommend Jones Automotive to anyone in the metro area.

Ive had nothing but excellent service from Jones Automotive. When I was 18 years old I had a major problem with my first car and limited funds to fix it. The staff at Jones Automotive took the time to explain my options and really detailed exactly what was going on. They then went out of their way to provide the best most affordable solution so that a young kid could have his car in safe working condition once again.20 years later I took my car to Jones Automotive and received the best possible customer service. The staff went above and beyond to explain exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. I anticipated the worst and honestly with my lack of knowledge of automobiles they could have easily replaced parts that didnt need to be replaced and I would have never known. However, they diagnosed the problem quickly and ordered the required part. Again, in my older years they got me back on the road safely and at a price that didnt break the bank.I wouldnt trust my car to anyone else. If you want to be treated with respect and value honesty then Jones Automotive is the place to go. They are going to give you an honest and fair assessment of exactly what the problem is with your vehicle. 20 years later and the customer service and quality of work is still outstanding. There arent too many companies that can make that claim.

I had a very bad experience at Jones Automotive. David was not honest from the beginning and did not share with me that he had never worked on my car before. He had my car for 12 days and never once called me about it, I had to call him for updates or to find out what was going on. He was very vague with information and would not tell me what he completed on my car. His response was “You brought in a car that wasn’t running and I got it running.” When I picked up my car it struggled to start and made funny noises when it was turning off. I brought the car back to David and shared this concern with him. After test driving it himself David told me he didn’t know what I was talking about and that the car sounded perfectly fine. I don’t know anything about cars, but I could tell there was something wrong with it. Since the mechanic could not seem to tell there was something wrong, I gave up on trusting him. I brought the car to the dealer and the mechanic there said that whoever worked on the car before had not gotten it set right and that is why it was struggling to start. The dealer fixed it and now my car is running fine again. I will never go back to Jones Automotive again and I would not recommend them to anyone, especially if you do not have car knowledge and they think they can take advantage of that.

I highly recommend these mechanics. They are super friendly, very honest, and they do excellent work. Even though they were very busy with other clients, they still got to my car, ordered parts, and replaced a full clutch assembly in under a week. I try to do as much work to my car on my own, but if I ever have something I cant do, its going strait to them. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great customer service! This is the second car Ive taken to them. They always do a great job and communication is wonderful.

Super friendly good people. David took the time to educate me on how an a/c system works when I asked him. Michael worked his tail off to change out my entire a/c system. Not a small or easy job by any means. Was it expensive? Yes. However they were less than FORD wanted and they care about doing the job right. I would go back again.

My family and I are from out of state. We were heading to Georgia to visit some family when our vehicle broke down on the interstate, someone was nice enough to stop and ask us if we needed any assistance, they suggested Jones. I want to express how nice these people are they could of charged us an arm and leg for being out of state but they didnt, they were very friendly. They helped us out and sent us on our way. My family was traveling back home to Ohio from Florida for Christmas vacation when on December 30, 2018, my 2014 Ram 1500 went into limp mode, with over 7 hours from home. The next morning (New Years Eve!), I called Jones Automotive and explained my situation. David said bring it over, and I did. By 2:00 pm that day, we were back on the road on our way back home! I cant thank David and his team for working their tails off to get me and my family back on the road on our way home!

Jones Automotive provided me with excellent service/prices and David Passmore is the man! I recently used Jones Automotive to fix my fuel pump issues and replace spark plugs in my 2004 F-150, 5.4l. They were able to fix my truck at a fraction of the cost that the local Ford dealership wanted to charge. These guys also replaced my fathers transmission while he was visiting from out of town (he was also impressed with their integrity). David actually took the time to show me what was replaced, which always makes me feel better when I can actually get eyes on. We were traveling across Tennessee when our altinator went out.We were so fortunate to find Jones Automotive on the west side of Knoxville. They promptly replaced our altinator and serpentine belt and had us back on the road in a couple of hours. We were not ripped off, the price was very fair. We highly recommend Jones Automotive!!

David and Michael are awesome to work with. They gave me a very fair deal for what I wanted done. For me, they installed a set of Ford Performance springs (1 drop) and a 4 wheel alignment on my 2016 Ford Mustang GT. Their work was top notch, delivered on time and the best part is my ride is even better today than before I took it to them. Our family had car trouble during a trip and in Gods providence pulled off the interstate near Jones Automotive. They rearranged their work schedule to help us immediately and stayed after hours to complete the repair so that we could get back on the road that evening. They even gave me a loaner car so our family could get some dinner while the work was being done. The owner David called the next day to make sure the rest of the trip had gone smoothly, which it had thanks to them. Good quality work and service above and beyond good! They turned what could have been a major trip disruption into a minor hiccup.

So Pleased. Dave and his Team are now our GoTo for all service automotive.They are all ASE certified and they do work more affordably and, in my opinion, better than a dealer. No need for waiting rooms while being treated as nothing more than a cash cow, No shuttles and none needed.My car gets exactly what it needs without being told we need things that your own manual does not call for. They are all thoughtful, courteous and treat you in a manner that we should all strive for. The cost savings is about 30%, but the work is done more efficiently and exceeding ones highest expectations. Best value for the money. Seriously!

THERE ARE STILL GOOD, HONEST MECHANICS OUT THERE! The service that we received during our visit to Jones Automotive was outstanding. David was the name of who we dealt with and he did an amazing job at handling our situation. We were driving through Tennessee on our way to Atlanta (and then onto Miami) from Michigan when our Jeep developed an intermittent shake coupled with the check engine light. We stopped in here to get an assessment of the problem, thinking that originally it may have been bad gas since the problem showed up right after a fill up. They pulled the code and took a look at the vehicle, they were able to determine the likely problem and also noticed the jeep was a quart low in oil. They told us, while the problem was important to fix, in their opinion we could still safely complete our trip to Atlanta that night and likely to Miami should we so choose. While he was confident that they would have been able to fix it, he didnt want us to be stranded so far away from our destination. He instead suggested we find a dealership to take it to as their turnover would likely be much quicker. When all was said and done they didnt charge us a dime for the assessment or the quart of oil they put in the jeep. Their honesty and excellent customer service was immensely appreciated, especially being so far from home. It is easy for shops like this to take advantage of out of state customers and we are so grateful that they did not. This experience is in stark contrast to the one we had in Delray Beach, FL after this, in which the shop did try to pull one over on us. We told the second shop what we were told at Jones Automotive. They ignored this and gave us a quote of over $4,000 for a completely different problem. The end result is that we shipped the car back to Michigan, had it assessed up here for the third time at a local dealership, where we were told the problem matched the original one we were told at Jones Automotive. Had we not stopped here first and had them look at the car, we likely would have believed the shop in FL and paid the outrageous price, but because of the honesty of Jones Automotive, our doubts in the second shop lead us to a savings of nearly $3,000 which includes the cost of shipping the car. Thank you so much again for helping us out when we really needed it, you guys are good people!

2012 Hyundai SonataAfter I went to a corporate shop and had them complete a 60k mile flush/maintenance. The rep told me they did not want to flush the transmission because his mechanic heard something and he did not want to have issues come up after it. Then he told me that I need to see a specific individual at another corporate transmission shop.I then took my car in to David and he happily completed the flush and oil change for me. All the while, explaining to me why the other guy said he wouldnt do it and why it isnt going to cause any issues to complete the flush. 6 months later....car is still running great!Thanks again David!

We were moving across country and on our last days stretch, my carrier bearing and front u-joint went bad from pulling a heavy trailer with my Tacoma. I dropped the trailer at the gas station, brought my truck in to Jones Auto. He was able to squeeze me in and get the parts delivered right away and charged a very reasonable amount. I was out of there in just a few hours, AND he bought me lunch while I was waiting. With how stressful a move and road trip can be, breaking down is always one of your biggest fears. They were super nice, helpful and I sure am glad I went here instead of somewhere else. Im sure there are plenty of auto shops that would and do take advantage of broken down travelers and this place definitely did not. I am very thankful and if I am ever traveling through there again, lunch is on me!

I discovered a lot to like about Jones Automotive when I had the valve cover gaskets replaced on my Dodge Dakota. This was something that I figured to be very time consuming and expensive because so many components had to be moved or removed to get at the repair. When I called, the service manager, David Passmore first explained how he would verify the diagnosis and do the estimate and we set up a time for them to take a look. They got the vehicle on the rack quickly and David said he would call me the next day after figuring materials and labor. The estimate was less than expected and there was no pressure to do the work, but when I called a couple days later, they got me in the next day with a declaration to have the work done by afternoon. It was time for the shop to close, but they stood true to their promise and the mechanic worked late to have things done. I usually do my own mechanic work and I found that they did things the way I would have, they cleaned the engine compartment and all the lines and hoses were nicely cleaned and aligned – a beautiful repair, done quickly, for a very fair price. Jones advertises “honest, down home service”, and I would affirm that this is certainly the case: David and his team are absolutely super to do business with.Update - October 12, 2018My car was overheating and I called David at Jones Automotive just before lunch - I got the vehicle to them and they diagnosed, got the parts and had me back on the road by 4:30 - It wasnt trivial either - turned out to be a radiator replacement - Thanks so much for the excellent work and great repair job.

Not the best experience a while back had to get break pads and we had to pay $700 for them. Later my fiancé had told me there’s no way it should have been that much and I️ got ripped off, and that it should have only been $150 tops. And now still hearing the prices are crazy ridiculous from my uncle who went there as well. And I️ just thought I’d share 😕

We broke down on our way from Florida to Michigan. Had a rod knocking and was directed to Jones Automotive. Immediately when we pulled in David Passmore got on the problem immediately providing a estimate for a new motor. New motor was ordered within an hour from NAPA with a 3 year unlimited miles warranty. They put a rush on the motor and within 10 days we were back on the road with a new motor. We were so fortunate being directed to Jones. They were professional and knowledgeable. I was able to speak with several customers and they all had nothing but praise for Jones Automotive. Thanks David and next year we will stop and say Hi. Again, I appreciate all you did.

I had an alternator replaced by this shop. Service was horrible and they installed a bad alternator and ripped me off. I had a reputable mechanic fix Jones mistakes. I tried to return the alternator and get my money back, as the warranty says. They say They dont do that, not their problem and it is the responsibility of the other shop. So they outright lied to me and told me they are not paying me anything. I am seeking alternative routes to get them to take responsibility for their mistakes. In my opinion their parents failed them by raising them wrong.

I was driving from Chattanooga, TN to Sevierville, TN when my Jeep Wrangler had engine trouble. Although it is a 2000 model, I had never experienced any previous engine problems with the Jeep. Since it would not start, barely able to get to the shoulder of the 4 lane interstate through Knoxville, I called for a tow truck. After calling about 5 different automotive repair shops, I was pleased to find that Jones Automotive was willing to look at my jeep that day. I had the jeep towed to their shop> I couldnt have asked for better service and hospitality. Even though they were quite busy, they were willing to rescue me. The mechanic was very thorough and found the problem in no time, which happened to be a part of the distributer cap. Thank you so much for taking care of me. If I lived closer, I would make them my regular automotive repair shop.

We were traveling cross-country with two cats when the a/c in my car stopped working. In Tennessee in August, thats an emergency. The Travel America just off I40 had no mechanic shop, so they sent us down the road to Jones Automotive. Those guys saved our trip, and probably our cats lives. They let us keep the cats inside the office, out of the summer heat, and they ordered and installed the blower we needed in about 1 1/2 hours.
