I took my truck in to have the tailgate repaired after someone backed into me. $3000 later, Toyota collision center called and claimed it was repaired. Everything looked great and operated fine the one time I tested in front of the estimator. As soon as I get it home and open the tailgate the soft open hinge brakes into pieces. They didn’t even replace it with a new one, which is kinda strange considering it is $50. Either way, I brought the truck back in for a technician and estimator to look at, assuming there is some kind of warranty. They claimed that it was that way because the frame is bent and that it will continue to happen unitl it is repaired again, which would be an additional $718 to repair, when it should have been addressed by a technician and brought to my attention before they charged me. Now my new tailgate is in worse shape than the old one.

The Toyota Knoxville Body Shop was great. Got me in ahead of schedule and finished the job quickly. When I came back because the hood lines were wrong they fixed that right away too! Matt was clear and responsive through the entire process. Far better than my previous experience with their service department. (It took 8 hours to put on 4 wheels/tires I bought with the vehicle)

I took my car in to get fixed because someone rear-ended me and it was covered by insurance. They didn’t tell me my car was done until three days after the fact which forced me to have to pay those days because insurance only covers cost while you’re car is getting fixed. When I confronted them, they said they called even though I showed them proof that I didn’t get a call. They just said “oh well, that’s not our fault”. On top of that, there was a piece missing that I had to go back and get. If your car ever needs body work, covered by insurance or not, I don’t recommend taking it here.

This was an outstanding experience. Tammy prepared the estimate quickly and ordered the parts. They arrived as promised and my appointment for the work was fast and convenient. Great job.

Toyota of Knoxville was wonderful they actually was cheaper than other dealerships that were not certified.

Someone had used their number to scam me, but when I called the number back to figure out who it was that called. They were very nice and just explained to me that it was a car dealership and not a scammer. Very very friendly people.

I first would like to say that Steve Malone in the body shop was extremely helpful and listen to every little thing I had to complain about with a smile on his face while helping me figure out what I needed to do to get my car repaired. He is the only reason I would give two stars. I just picked my car up from the body shop today where it was getting worked on for the past two weeks. When I got into my vehicle I immediately noticed that the leather on my door panel near the door handle is was torn. I immediately went back inside to address this with someone. When who I assume was the manager of the body shop came out and looked at it, he proceeded to tell me that it was from normal wear and tear. I have a 2014 so I understand some of it may be normal wear and tear, however the leather was torn in said spot. The manager refused to do anything about it and told me to contact my insurance company! I was appalled at the treatment he gave me.

I thought the previous reviewer single star is a just fluke, no, it is not - just all around dragging their feet, taking no responsibility and no caring at all. I dont know how this shop can still be in business if not for toyotas name

Great people do it right first time had new convertible top installed there with no issues. Very professional staff and clean shop a pleasure to do business with them.
