Wow, this museum is great. Tons of one of a kind artifacts. The staff is great and friendly. Its a little spendy but well worth it. If you can only go to one museum go to this one.

It was OK, kind of small. Mostly pictures, arrowheads, and even an art exhibit of people wearing Saris and Indian clothes from India, (the country), not sure what that had to do with Klamath county, but they were all for sale. Not a very interesting place imo.

Would give it a zero if possible. It is nothing more than an overpriced art gallery and half of it was empty. The very few actual exhibits are largely from out of state artifacts. Had a few beautiful wood sculptures but since no photos are allowed I cant show you or tell you the artists. They charged $7 per person for something that took 5 minutes to walk through and left you very underwhelmed. The Klamath County Museum was so much better.

You had better get there early because it will take at least a full day to see and read everything. Its worth the time if you like early American and Native American history. The staff were also great.

The artifacts are the best of those collected from First Americans settlements. Combined with some of the finest paintings Ive ever seen they give an authentic flavor of life for these native tribes and the horrors they suffered by the white mans gun. The paintings are so detailed and realistic that each one is mesmerizing. Also lots of extraordinary sculpture and other collections, as well as videos of The Modoc War, pottery, basket weaving, and a first class gift shop at the front. The place is SO worth a visit.

WOW!Even after reading the great reviews here, I was still blown away. There must have been at least a thousand different arrowheads. And so much more to see.Native American artifacts from Alaska to Peru.US western artifacts. And art (both old & new) of the above.Expect to take about 2 hours to see everything.Would love it if they offered guided tours. I had so many questions.I will go again if Im in the area.

This is a nice museum. It is an idiosyncratic museum. The museum has three distinct sections, one on indigenous artifacts and local history, mainly pioneer; one of paintings and bronzes, more or a less a gallery space; and the vault. In the first space there are many arrowheads but they are presented entirely out of their original context. They have other indigenous artifacts which are a highlight of the museum. The Modoc Indian War of 1873 is presented through framed newspaper articles from the time and little more. The pioneer history exhibits are nice but confined. In the gallery space there are numerous paintings that are nice. The vault space has the feel of a shrine, a place for private enjoyment of private possessions. There is actually a bank vault door and spotlights illuminating the numerous curiosities. It was, however, worth the $8.00 admission price.

Do enjoyable, relaxing- arrowheads like Ive never seen even in a museum & these are a personal collection. Other artifacts from local sites- mortar & pestles that are jaw dropping in size & condition. Edward Curtis prints, books upstairs in the library captured my attention long after viewing artworks in main gallery. I ll return to view the glass cases & other works I had to pass up this time.
