First, I need to start off by saying that I gave 3 stars only because my cashier experience a couple of days ago was very negative. Otherwise, the rest of the store and employees were very helpful. The cashiers all seemed like young teenagers, some were on their phones and they had unnecessary attitudes. I have shopped at Diamond for years and its rare to get decent cashiers to help you. There are a couple of employees who I feel they need some well deserved recognition. When I first walked in, I went to the electrical department and Josh helped me with every question I had. He has always been my go to person when I need help in that area. Next I went to the paint department where Ill only buy paint if Kayla is working. The other people in that department arent nearly as knowledgeable as Kayla is. She has always matched my paint perfectly and sold me good quality products. Even when I can tell she isnt feeling well or having a good day, her attitude is positive and she is always working, all day long. I remember when she first started as a cashier and her kindness has always stuck with me. Same thing with Josh, his work ethic and upbeat personality is very impressive. I will continue to shop at Diamond, as long as there are good employees such as the ones I have mentioned in this review.

I purchased a wood stove and complete chimney system from diamond. After I picked up my unit they called me a couple days later and told me my wood stove was ready to be picked up. They had no record of my wife getting it a couple days prior. They told me I need to come and pick the stove up. I told them I had already done it. I could have easily went in and gotten a free wood stove but I am honest and I did not. Some time later I went to return a small part that I did not need from the chimney. It was less than $10. The manager refused to do it because I did not have a receipt nor would he give me store credit. This would have never been a problem at a place like the home Depot which is where I normally shop and will continue shopping to avoid diamond and their petty return policies. Id like to shop the local smaller businesses. Ive always received much better customer service from the home Depot.

I have been shopping here for over 20 years. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. All the cashiers are young and vibrant assets. Diamond is lucky And very smart for giving our local young people and our future leaders the opportunitie to work in such a diverse atmosphere. Emily and Zoe always make my visit to diamond a joy. Keep up the great work of keeping diamond home improvement the best locally owned and operated home improvement store in the basin.

They are improving. But still have a long way to go. Im really glad to see an improvement though. Ive been a fan ever since they started. So Im hoping one day to change this to a five. If you havent been there since there fall off give them another chance, you may be surprised

Employee persistently argued with me about the price of an item--even after I first showed pictures of the bar code, then later even showed her and him the bin with the product.I dont spend my money to pay augmentative, incompetent employees. If you dont know about a product just say you dont know. Geesh. Canceling my business with Diamond.At least at Home Depot the employees will say they are not sure or dont know.

We love our new carpet, its colors are perfect for our home; it was fairly easy to install. Having the padding attached to the back of the carpet made it lay easier.

I was visiting my brother and he needed some paint and hardware so we went to the Diamond Home Improvement yesterday (05/06021) and went to the paint department for a couple of things. The employee there (Damian Johnson) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to look up inventory and when future supplies would be done and took the extra step to get a name and phone number to call when it came in. After reading other reviews Im baffled, I wish the other building center in town was as well stocked, Im very impressed with the amount of hardware they have. My experience has been 5 star.

If you buy a wood chipper make sure that an employee didnt drop a lock in it & not say anything. Cost me a days work + gas & travel time. Management didnt even apologize for the inconvenience & THEIR error. Someone could have gotten REALLY hurt.

Yesterday I went to your Klamath Falls store to load up on some bark chips. The counter help was good and turned me over to a young guy to take me out to garden area.I was almost run into by a forklift driver in the parking lot as I approached Gate 3, but she averted the collision at the last minute. Good enough, honest error.I brought my paid slip out for 25 bags of Gardeners medium chips and one bag of small. There were 7 bags left on a pallet placed out of the way, so I loaded those with two service people loading and counting. More chips were needed, so they called in a different forklift driver to lower a pallet.The forklift operator proceeded to take down the pallet and was obviously struggling with the equipment as he made multiple attempts to center the forks, making false starts, mangling the pallet as it cracked, running the loaded pallet into other stacks.. ugly to witness.He lowered the pallet and instead of placing those where I could start to complete may load began to pull more loads down and rearrange that area of the racking storage. This took 15 minutes while I waited as he continued to struggle moving pallets around where I couldn’t load my vehicle and leave.When I asked one if the service person standing around watching why the forklift operator didn’t lower the load and allow me to finish, I was told that rearranging stock during a load is company policy. If it is, it’s very poor customer service and held up yet another customer waiting to get a load outside the gate. Really? Policy?When he finally provided access to the bags the forklift driver, didn’t help load and started trying to count the load. They were obviously stacked 5 high and there were 5 stacks, plus one bag of small chips. 5x5= 25 plus 1 is 26. Receipt showed 25 plus 1 or a total of 26.He argued that I was taking one too many bags while he held my receipt in his hand. His math skills are so poor that he is unable to add 7+19 and get 26. Or 5x5 plus 1. After he argued over and over about the load a manager was finally called over. He did his best to understand the situation, but he too was struggling to make an accurate count based upon the information that your math challenged employees provided to him.It was obvious that in order to leave with my load, I’d have to unpack it so these idiots could do the math count one by one, bag by bag. They didn’t offer to unpack it. I had to. Then I was forced to repack it while four of your employees are standing around trying to learn basic counting and handle the managers questions.Too things.First - the lack of customer focus is the major reason that businesses struggle in today’s difficult marketplace.Second - your forklift driver face randomly drug tested, as in my warehouse experience, he displayed characteristics common to someone under the influence. He’s unskilled and unsafe with the equipment that could lead to damaged goods, or worse, injury or death. And, his impairment caused him to fail all but the most basic math of counting 1,2,3.. If not impaired, then his math skills are sorely inadequate for the role that you have him in.It’s your business, so run it like you wish to. But I want customers to know what to expect from your staff.

Since there is no Lows in Klamath, Diamond is the next Best option. Helpful associates and packed to the brim with products, in fact all the items that I couldnt find at Home Depot... I found at Diamond, not only did they have these items but they also had a selection to choose from.Thank you for operating in this podunk town!

Always friendly staff, great pricing, and a local business with local owners. Typically have everything I need for a project, and also have the knowledge to give advice on how to perform it. Highly recommended when shopping home improvement in Klamath.

Whenever you mention an issue to someone working there, they get a glazed over look and say nothing. No apology or problem solving.

I get lost in these home improvement places! they are really my favorite places to shop! i have to say though there were two girls working the other night when i was there & i wish i would of gotten their names. i needed an oversized watch type battery and these two went beyond the extra mile!! again i wish i would of gotten thier names to get them recognized - kutos to the two that work nights and seem to be pretty good friends with each other that helped the me in the scooter with the broken ankle & my friend - you two were awesome - thank you!!

Nice store, but they never seem to have what I need without endless ordering, from doors and windows to roofing or lumber, always out of stock. Strange

My first essential trip to Diamond turned out to be a wonderful experience with helpfully and friendly staff asking how they could help me. I felt comfortable and safe.I was in and out quickly, with my purchase.Thank you James for having such a great staff!!With social distancing as it is, the only thing missing was the hand shake..Thank you for being open!

I like diamond lumber better than home depot its a more personal store I buy all my products there for home improvement .

First I bought a 4x8x8. There were only 3. All were either warped or large cracking most of the length. I had to go stand in line to return an item I never even picked up and had to purchase a 10 ft just to get a quality piece. This isnt the first time its happened. Next I paid for #2 or btr 2x4x8. When I got out to the yard all I could find were what they called standard and ends were painted red. I asked a forklift driver where the #2 were at he said these were it. I said they werent labeled what I pay for and all these were junk. I even had another customer agree with me. Forklift driver said to go inside and do a return. I went back in and the line was long. So I said screw it Ill dig through the pile. He called the manager. Who told me to leave. I dug through half the pile just to find 20 decient ones. WARNING Diamond charges for #2 but sells economy lumber. I went to Home Depot later that day. They had #2 printed on their lumber and I was able to quickly find 4 good ones with out digging. In fact they were closer to a #1. Home Depot will be getting more of my business and I will let my friends know also. Home Depot also has a better website and does free pickup in store and now curb side delivery for free.

Sometimes it is difficult to find assistance. However overall, I still give it a good rating.

I highly recommend this store for people that like freedom and quality goods and services. They have everything you need and they are friendly.

Took a look at them after Home Depot screwed me on some tools/ parts I needed. The staff were incredible helpful and courteous. I found everything I needed, and at a good $100 less then what Home Depot was advertising.

They have a great selection of garden plants and flowers in the spring. I love going there just to look at all the different pretty flowers they have.

Diamond had a really large selection of outdoor plants and trees to choose from this afternoon. The prices are fair and the store is always clean, with employees eager to help you out.

The have the best supply of nuts, bolts screws, stainless or otherwise and you can buy the exact amount needed. Lots of places sell in prepackaged amounts which results in getting more than you need.

I have to say this is one of my favorite places to shop for my homes needs I get fast customer service and usually at a good price

Dont buy anything you dont actually want here their return policy is real bad and when you confront them about it they act like the customer is the problem. Not a good way to do business and people should boycott such social behavior as much as possible. Plus theres better stores in klamath falls with better discounts and better social treatment. If you want to test this shop at Lowes and see the difference in price for the same items and more pleasant people and options for return policy. The state of Oregon has a better business bureau that sets these standards. Not each store

Hopefully its not long term but the hardware shelves had a lot of empty spots and the lumber inventory was off by a lot. I have made multiple trips to town only to find out the guy on the phone had quoted me the inventory that was long depleted.

Diamond is similar to the old fashioned home supply stores. You get friendly knowledgeable help that can actually tell you about the products. They are full of great information and have a pretty good selection of everything youd need.

Theyve helped me numerous times theyre good. The employees have been very helpful especially in the gardening center. My plant said termites and no one know how to get rid of them. I was lucky to find them.

This place blows Home Depot out of the water. You just drive through the enclosed lumber section, show your receipt and they load it up for you then you drive out the other end. They have the largest variety of bolts and hardware Ive ever seen. Super knowledgeable staff! They have my business from now on!

First, I had an issue with the wrong cabinet size being ordered but Diamond was quick to fix the issue. They were also quick to try to resolve an issue with a contractor they work with, MWM Custom Countertops.At first everything looked good, they were quick to show up and start the process. It looked like it was going to be a smooth transaction, very professional. They showed up to measure, let me know they were 2 weeks out and gave me a day to expect them. That day came and I had not heard from them, I get it people get busy so I called to make sure we were on schedule.I was told they were a little behind but that they would definitely be out to install the next Friday (9 days later). I told them that was fine, but I needed it that Friday for sure as i had a party the next day. They guaranteed me that it would be.Well that day arrived, I hadnt heard anything so i called to find out when they would be here to install. Turns out they booked another job over mine, and didnt even have the courtesy to call and try to make things right.They told me this other job was bigger so they would just be out the next Thursday (another week out, meaning I have now been out of a kitchen for nearly six weeks with the cabinet issue and countertop company not caring about a customer who has been on their list for 8 weeks). This is very unprofessional, rude, and to tell a customer their job is being pushed cause another job pays more after guaranteeing they would be there.I will never use this company again, and quite frankly this looks bad on Diamond for using this kind of contractor.*UPDATE*After Seeing this review, Diamond and MWMs Owners worked to resolve this issue. While the counters were not installed when they were supposed to, MWM took responsibility for without excuses and hurried to get the job done. The counters look great and the installers made sure the job was done right. I was even more impressed by the installers calling the next day to make sure everything was still perfect, and offering to come redo anything I might not like.

I bought a few things from this place, A steel front door and wood stove and got a great deal on both. Awesome friendly staff and great selection. I will be back!!!

Being at the opposite end of town from Home Depot is a good thing for a quick trip to the nearest hardware store. Prices are comparable and when weighing your time away from finishing your project or an emergency, closer can be better.

Diamond has a great staff that makes a large store and great selection feel like you are walking into a neighborhood hardware store. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are competitive with big box stores. Unlike the big box stores, you can actually find someone to help you.

Took awhile to get checked to go into back area to get stove pellets and then a long time to get help with a forklift to load pallet into my truck. Outside service could be better for sure.
