Really fresh meat and a lot of different interesting cuts! This place has dry aged beef, various pork cuts that are very tender, and lamb, as well as sausages, cheese, and assorted dry goods. The service is great, with all the cuts and how to prepare them explained.

Their sausages are packed with flavor. The space is clean and orderly and the staff are kind and generous.

Premium meat, premium products. They butcher their own pigs so you can ask for custom cuts. I also tried their ham and salami - hmm top notch. That said, you gonna have to pay some extra bucks for it. Also, they offer some pasta and olive oil from Italy.

Super friendly and helpful! They seemed very happy to answer the questions I had even though we were coming up on closing time. The genuine passion for what they do is evident. Definitely going back!

Amazing people and amazing MEats, locally sourced and smoked!

The owners responded enthusiastically to our cold call for Cumberland sausages, something theyd never made. They researched, experimented and tweaked the recipe til it was absolutely perfect. You can depend upon Maine Meat for wonderful customer service, and very, very high quality sausages with perfectly balanced spices as well as tender meat and casing.

Not only do these folks have amazing variety and quality, but they are terrific resources for providing tips on which cuts to use for which dishes, as well as helpful suggestions on cooking. All this served up with a healthy sense of humor! Even tho it’s close to a 30 minute drive, they’re absolutely my go-to for short ribs. Bonus: proximity to fabulous Foreside eateries! Win/win.

I go here often, best ground beef available anywhere. Their lunch sandwich is usually good as well. Havent tried all their other cuts of beef but I would expect they are very nice. Friendly people work here.

The Austrian-style kaesekrainer (cheese-stuffed bratwurst) were an explosion of deliciousness. The ground lamb mixed with ground beef heart was an awesome texture of flavors. This is a small business that is worth supporting, and I enjoy every visit to the shop.

I stopped here on my way home from my son and daughter-in-laws place in Maine based on some friends recommendation. It was a great decision! I purchased several things and everything was wonderful!! Wish it was closer but at least it is in the path of trips to visit family. I will always bring a cooler so I can stop here and bring some home!

You simply cannot beat these guys. Shannon and Rook are artisans, and what they bring to us is just magical. Their dry aged rib eyes are honestly the best Ive ever had, anywhere, period.

Favorite butchers ever.

Wow. Havent seen a butcher like this since I lived in Brooklyn. Bought a Dry Aged Porterhouse that we cooked up tonight and it was *phenomenal*. Friendly service, amazing selection. I will be driving down from Kennebunk to shop here. So special!

Top restaurant quality steaks!

Ok Ive been a loyal Carls guy and will continue to shop there as well, but this new place is great. The people who run it are incredibly friendly, they have an amazing knowledge of butchery. Everything Ive gotten there has been top notch, amazing sausages and other cured meats. Im really looking forward to when they expand their own cured meats.

Great place to go unless you have children! My family and I have had a couple of horrible experiences with the owner while shopping in this store. She is NOT friendly with children, has yelled at my son in an extremely inappropriate way, and has even given my daughter disapproving looks and glares while just walking by her storefront.

How great is this all local butcher? Plenty great. Get some of their home made roast beef if its available, mine was devine. Nice people working there, too.

So happy to find this place. So much in this store made my heart sing that I knew the items that were unfamiliar would be good too. A gem.

Amazing selection of fine meats. The two owners were more than helpful and quick to offer cooking tips and recommendations. I personally walked out with their chorizo (must buy), sujuk (killer flavor/aroma when cooking), South Carolina, and the lamb/feta/olive (their most popular). Well worth the trip from Boston to visit such an awesome establishment. Highly recommend.
