Great variety, but no worker ever came over to ask if I needed help in the cabinet area as I needed dresser knows. Finally I had to go find a helper. Iam disappointed not getting the help after 30 mins. So I had to look for someone who could help me.

Clean, clean, clean employees were friendly genuinely friendly - except one (thats why I cant give 5 stars). Products are good condition.A piece of advice even if you think the order of searching from a customer is wrong, dont tell them they are wrong! I was in town for a marketplace deal that someone beat me to. So it made sense to make the trip worth my while by looking for items that arent available in my town. Dont tell the customer what you do is look up the items online to save a trip.Again overall good experience everyone else was professional.

Went in today to buy a 20 flagpole kit that I seen in store earlier this year. But I guess with all the Christmas decorations it had been moved to a different location. After walking around in the general area of where I seen it before, I noticed a sign pointing up the stairs saying something about lawn and outdoor furniture (?). So as soon as I got up there I was met with an employee who must of had a bad day. She wanted to know what I needed, so I told her what I was looking for. She snapped at me like I wasnt supposed to be up there and as I proceeded to make my way down the stairs, she was hot on my tail practically chasing me downstairs. I could have bought the kit cheaper online but was going to buy it in store but after this experience, I think I will be buying it ANYWHERE but Menards. And probably every other purchase will be made elsewhere because of this experience.

Purchased a stove which they ordered while I was there. I was under the impression it was too be delivered. But 5 days after my date I was told, I called and they had my email incorrect in the system and was not set up for delivery... so $750 spent and still want another $161 for delivery! Stupid! Well never do business here again!

I really like the variety of goods they have in sock and Im usually pretty happy with them. However, this time, not so much. Had to get lumber from warehouse and waited forever and finally just loaded it up myself. Heard from many a people that this store is like that. Cant seem to find good help I guess.

Your chain is already annoying for contractors because of the convoluted pickup process but it really annoys me when I ask for my pickup paperwork at the front desk and they wont give it to me so I can drive around to the back because its only 6 gallons of paint I can just walk back there. Ive been to 5 menards this week in 2 states and drove 700 miles. Id like some flippin service.

Bought an item for $440. After getting it home I realized it was a returned item. I found out why after opening it. There was damage in several places. They obviously put an expensive item on the shelf to resell that they knew was damaged. I asked for a discount and was told my only choice was to return it even though they didnt have another one.I originally gave this 3 stars, but Menards response was to simply say that theyd pass it on and then took the opportunity to start sending me their email marketing campaigns.

A quiet visit today with very few people at the moment. I’ve never had so many employees ask if I needed help. The thinning inventory and increased prices on everything is just another sign of this pandemic. The store was clean and tidy with swift checkouts.

Mask mandate ended for Adair County Missouri May 1. Menards insists on one even if you have a health issue. They do not care if youre unable to wear a mask. And, they dont even try to be nice about it. Very sad that they discriminate against the aged and/or ill.

Went to Kirksville location to purchase 3 sliding glass patio interior blind doors. Associate said my mask wasn’t over my nose good enough. I don’t need someone to tell me how to wear a mask. I said thanks and left immediately. I will never shop at Menards again. Shame, because it use to be my favorite home improvement store.

The guy at the lumber yard was totally awesome, but when we went to the checkout, the lady that checked us out handled all our merchandise despite the fact we had it turned with barcodes up in our cart. As she was doing so she sneezed in her arm and when I asked if they had any sanitary wipes, she wanted to sell me some. it amazes me that in a store where you have to wear your mask, that a worker like this can be that unsanitary, do you really need to handle all my stuff?can you just not scan it in the cart?

I was swarmed by almost every employee in the building coupled with scare tactics just because I would not restrict the amount of oxygen I breathe. Kirk the pale unhealthy looking manager called the police on me and followed me to my vehicle to take pictures of my truck. Its a really friendly place.

Wow, what is with this place?? They were trying to help, or so they said. I guess they must have thought we were going to put the entire store in our pockets before we left, or something. I mean how many times can the same 9 employees ask me if I need help finding anything? Between the time we got through the front doors, until the time we walked out the exit doors, just very obviously stalking, and circling around us, the entire time! which I guess could have been okay, if they werent rude and hateful each and every time they popped around another corner, of yet another department, to ask us yet again if we needed any help with anything? Nope, youve already shown me enough to know we will NEVER come back to THIS store, Ill go to a different town, or their competition, or just do without. The absolute worst we have been treated in a business we was spending our money in!!!

Food & Stuff... I mean Menards is always great.Edit(-1 star). Dont buy appliances here. Bought a brand new upright freezer that didnt work. When I asked for an exchange I was told Id have to pay $80 for delivery, even though it was under warranty. Instead I took my money to Home Depot, got a name brand and free delivery/install.

Its my favorite place to go pick up anything I need from groceries to gardening tools. Definitely a one stop shop. Theyre enforcing the mask rule which is refreshing, and theyll always wiping carts and counter tops. The employees still have that smile on under the mask and are always helpful without hesitation. The person that runs this Menards is doing an outstanding job and deserves a raise!

The price on the item I went in for was not posted and there was nobody around to ask so I had to carry it through the store to the checkout to get a price check. Because of those types of things and the mask police, who watch you like you were a criminal, I will shop elsewhere for a while.

My husband and I have enjoyed shopping at Menards since we moved town a few months ago. We had been looking for upright freezers for months, and were very excited when they finally had some in stock. Menards delivery fee is pricey at $80, so we rented a truck to pick it up. Unfortunately, the freezer never worked! When we went in to exchange it, we were told we would still be responsible for bringing the freezer back, and paying for delivery/a truck to get the new one home! We spent all afternoon dealing with a freezer that never worked. I am very disappointed that Menards does not have better customer service policies in place and does not stand by their products. As soon as we left, we went next door to HD and bought a Frigidaire and were told that they will pick up and replace the freezer at no cost if we have any issues. We will sadly never buy another appliance or high-cost item at Menards again.

I like the store I am always treated with respectful ok couldnt type that with a straight face. I was untill covid now I am treated like a felon in prison. Straighten that mask over your nose!! Get in line 6 ft.!!! Next you will have to take your shoes of and go through a body scanner.

Very rude employees at the Kirksville location. Followed us around to make sure we were wearing our masks properly. Told my 12 year old son that it didnt matter if he had breathing problems, he had to put the mask on. After a few choice words, we left and went straight to Home Depot, and will never return to Menards!!

Employees are always helpful. They will interrupt what they are doing to help you. As far as the masks, everyone wore them during the 1938-39 pandemic and no one lost their freedom. I have no problem wearing one. Seems a pretty small thing to ask if it even saves one life!

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I was walking along side my 2yr old niece and an employee informed us that she either had to be held or in a cart or wear a mask. She was rude and nasty. We grabbed our personal belongings and left our cart behind and drove across the road to Home Depot. We will not be back. Home Depot was instantly a much nicer environment with kind employees.

I went to menards to get some treated lumber... their store manager who swears he owns this store informed me and got in my face telling me to put a mask on or get out... following me and then started walking within 4 ft from my mother who was with me and I told him numerous times to back off.

I certainly think you need to school your employees. Refusing service to parents of an autistic child, whom was in cart entire time, but would not leave on a mask. Policy says doesnt apply to kids in cart or being held. You are in a small community and just lost so many customers. Menards have been extremely rude with patrons over this mask. Educate employees or continue to lose customers.

I fell in love with Menards when my daughter was doing her clinicals in Des Moines, However the Kirksville store has not lived up to expectations. Now with the mask mandate, the store personnel have become downright rude. I used to spend about 50 dollars a week in menards, but now the orange store next door is getting my business.

My husband and I have been working on a huge project of building a home. We have had a terrible experience in every department so far. We spent almost 5 hours in Menards one day trying to pick out windows. Finding someone who could help us was near impossible and once we did he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Basically just directed us to their website. We went straight to home depot after my husband had finally had enough and they sat down with us, took our floor plans, explained to us every aspect of what we would or would not want in a windows, and then went on to the website theirselves and made up the windows we wanted. This is just one of many bad experiences. We really wanted to use the 11% rebate that they offered, but it really isnt worth it at this point. We have decided to go elsewhere to finish our house and been much more at peace since.

I believe that Menards has a lot of improvement they need to make on their online ordering process. I ordered 2 cans of Rustoleum Spray Paint and received a kids play pool. I submitted 2 emails to them informing them of their error. Menards said they received the email and would take care of it. I waited 5 days and never heard a thing. So I took the pool up to the nearest Menards and was given a refund for the paint, but to get my $9 shipping charges I had to call the Kirksville store myself. Then I had to reorder the paint myself and hope I receive it this time. Very poor customer service!!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This business just forever lost all of my familys support and business. Worst experience of my life. Employees yelling at children for not wearing a mask. Then call headquarters just to be told the employees had the right to talk to children anyway they seen fit and we could take our business elsewhere. I ordered (and had delivered) the gray edgers that is pictured on the right. Instead I received a pallet of edgers that are tan and gray in color. The local store told me to return them and I asked why I would of had them delivered to me in the first place if I was able to return them myself. Long story short this location delivered the wrong materials or defective in color and wont stand behind them. Very poor customer service and now I have 180 edgers I dont need. Also many were chipped and unusable.

In my work I am begrudgingly forced to deal with box stores from time to time. I find that dealing with Menards in general is the most painful. The Kirksville Menards is by far the most disorganized and clueless place I have ever experienced. If you are dealing with special orders be prepared to spend the best part of a day trying to get anything accomplished. The next time I have a client ask me to use Kirksville Menards I will decline taking that job. And like others if I could rate them a zero I would.
