I ordered the matcha latte, and it doesnt come with any sweeteners or vanilla, which is what I prefer so perfect. It came out pretty fast, and it was good and bitter. The foam was good and, foamy, and it didnt come out blazing hot either. There was some undissolved powder at the bottom but thats alright, hard to get rid of that stuff.
Great coffee, great covid protocols. It might be one of the few places Ive seen actually placing seating areas far enough away from each other. They had a decent tea menu, although I only had the Aztec mocha (which was great). They had gluten free food options as well.
Baristas know how to make good coffee here. I believe the coffee beans are also fresh and rich in its flavor. I am mesmerized by their hand techniques of coffee crafts. Either warm or cold, Zoka Lattes here always taste the same, and I believe providing the same taste is the skill.Located near the waterfront - grab a coffee and take a walk to the pier and into the downtown Kirkland.
Macchiato was decent. Ordered a lemon poppy seed muffin, the flavor was fine but the texture was a bit gummy.
Full disclosure I am a tea guy. It must be all those years living in London. That is what brought me into this well managed Coffee shop. So it was over a better than average cup of tea I struck up a conversation with the locals. The crib notes of the conversation have this place formed in the waning days of grunge. In my opinion, Zoka has held up a lot better than the music. The staff is great and always ready to give you all the information you will ever need on just where a brand of coffee came from and how it made its way to your cup. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
One of my favorite Cafe in State of Washington. This place is 10 times better than Starbucks and a bit cheaper too but the Coffee is tasteful here! I ordered latte + almond croissant and they were delicious. The atmosphere is very fun with nice furniture and cute decorations, if you like to sometimes work from home you can spend hours here! Definitely recommend.
Nice big tables to meet my clients, awesome chai too
I used to work here and hated it. Do not recommend contributing to this place.
Really great coffee. Manager Emily friendly and informative. Happy place... visiting from Hawaii..
Good coffee and baked goods. Always friendly staff.
The employees at this location are your typical virtue signaling baristas. They need to freshen up on the current laws regarding patrons with disabilities: you can not refuse service to people with medical exceptions. Sad because I enjoyed their coffee in the past.
Nice building and staff but horrible coffee. Probably the worst in the last 15 years for me. PASS
Good coffee, but not a quiet place to study. Great place to meet.
Good coffee different than Starbucks a good change
Kinda hit or miss. I go about once a week, and my drink is always tasty. The service varies a lot though, the (post-COVID) seating is pretty sparse, it’s a bit loud, and parking is a pain in this area. I’d probably go somewhere else if the baristas weren’t so cute 😅
Barista’s are fantastic and have a wonderful knowledge of their coffee, product, as well as fantastic service.I’ll keep coming back to get both whole beans AND excellent coffee!
Okay coffee with a nice interior.
Love Zoka coffee and their unique coffee and tea options. They offer Lavender coffees and Chai Tea Lattes bursting with flavors. This cafe gets busy really fast so seating can be hard to find at times. I love getting the caramel latte or the Zoka Way Tea when Im feeling more of a healing vibe from the cold weather. The barista is always friendly and welcoming and they offer tons of milk options. They also offer other items not listed on their menu like hot chocolate so just ask if youre craving something and they can usually whip something up.The environment is great for getting work done and the noise level is pretty average with not being too loud. The service is good and the coffee comes out pretty fast. I only wish they had more food options and bakery items.FYI Parking lot across the street only charges $1hr if you cant find street parking in the area.
Very nice coffee. Great service. Folks are very respectful of social distance.
I had the ginger chai here. It’s possible the worst ginger chai I had.It had no taste of ginger and no taste of chai. The server had no idea which food items is vegan.Would not recommend for chai.No idea about coffee.
Very good but expensive coffee. Very simple, as well, they don’t have many special drinks, just plain old coffees, lattes, etc. I loved all the plants decorating the space
Horrible drip coffee. 3.30$ for nothing. Not sure abt other menu items
One of the best coffee shop in Kirkland
I like this place, and the coffee is great, but Ive got to ding stars for poor covid-19 protocols. I understand that the state mandate is no mask required when eating or drinking, but there were 14 people with no mask, most of which were sitting on a laptop with no food or drink in sight. This makes it a possible dangerous super spreader scenario. Needless to say, after standing at the door and getting a quick count of people without masks, I just left.
Unique coffee and tea selection.
Thoughtful staff and tasty baked goods. oh yeah, and most people go for caffeinated beverages.
O-M-G!!! Where have you been all of this time? This place is simply so cute: from cool ambience to funky latte; friendly service to yummy yummy snacks! Its my new go-to for meetings, coffee breaks, breakfast and lunch! Get the Chai latte, you will not regret it!
Nice place! The staff was super kind!
Good coffee place! Taking care of customers in the best covid way. Great coffee to boot!
Zoka continues to be a great coffee shop. It is conveniently located, the baristas are friendly and the coffee is well-made. Zoka does get crowded when it is sunny - be wary of a long line on a summer day.
Friendly baristas with great coffee. Great decor hosting artists.
A great coffee shop centrally located in downtown Kirkland. Excellent coffee - their baristas are top notch. Recent renovations have been a nice touch to the atmosphere. Jaren, the store manager, is always kind and welcoming. This is one of my more preferred Zoka locations out of the lot they have. To note, due to location this shop can be rather busy at times, especially weekends. Give Zoka a try.
Currently at 50% capacity. I had a ginger Chai. The restaurant was decorated with lots of neat plants. They were busy. Offered outdoor seating.
Costumer service could have been better. $7 matcha was not worth it.
I didnt like the cardamom latte very much, but overall coffee quality is good
Had a quick stop. Their Tangletown is the best.
Good coffee. People were allowed to sit inside on February 5th.
Cold brew here is soooo Good!
Great hazelnut honey latte! Shop local!
Bummer, I used to love coming here. Been living in this city for years. Today I was accosted and harassed by a female barista for not having my mask on when I ordered. I told her I have a health condition and cant wear the mask, she told me she could sell me one for $2.I asked her if she would tell me the drink and bring it to me outside or offer me some kind of accommodation... luckily the male Barista said that he would bring out the drink.Somebody needs to train the staff on how to handle people with health conditions..Sad.
Coffee tastes horrible. Service is slow. So many other great espresso places.
Love this coffeehouse! Ive been here a few times and I really enjoy their ginger chais. Its quite large inside and its easy to grab a table and chat. Its a bit loud with the concrete floors, high ceilings, and music - probably not best for conversations, but if you dont mind getting work done with some background noise itll be fine.
Great location and coffee! The downside is too many people inside without mask!
Very nice ambiance and service. Even during this COVID era, they do good job trying to keep people safe.
Great coffee
This place is filled with tons of hipsters who come here to just look pretty and meet their hopeful loved ones. Their coffee is pretty disgusting in comparison to the other coffee shops all over the Pacific NorthWest. To be honest, would not recommend this place unless you want to be involved with a culture of hipsters who drink gross coffee and read books.
I finally got to try Zoka coffee a couple weeks ago after knowing about and seeing it for many year. Ive always loved the look of the place from the outside and the atmosphere is very nice. I like the high ceilings. The turkey and cheddar croissant was very good and the service was fine. The only reason for the slightly lower rating was my drink wasnt great. However, I am more than willing to try it again and I will certainly report back when/if I do!
My goodness what a nice shop. Upscale atmosphere, great part of town, clean look. The cold brew was DARK, which was a nice change of pace for me but my friends thought it was too much. Loved visiting, will be back in the future if I get the chance.
Great quality coffee with high ceiling and modern interior.Great location in downtown. A central hub of activity.Only downside would be that the wifi connection is not very user-friendly and limited.
Certainly the best coffee place in Seattle area.
The service is really bad, I ordered one item, but got another, and no excuses for that. For hot coffee you got just warm. Be careful ordering any food here, I saw bugs in the food
Ridiculously slow, waiting 15min for coffee when there are not many people at all. Barista just like it slow and does not care about people waiting.
Great Lavender Selection! #1 Coffee Shop in Washington! Great service great atmosphere! Love it
Tremendous ambience truly an anchor of downtown Kirkland.
Got the Aztec mocha and a drip. the coffee tasted really bad and the mocha was poorly made.
Wonderful spot and delicious coffee! Favorite part? The barista was incredibly outgoing! Check it out for a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service 😊
Had a really great mocha here last week. Fun and upbeat coffee shop on the corner in Kirkland. Free parking access around the corner of the shop. I will come here again soon.
Be aware: macha latte is not latte, but macha with a milk. Taste really bad, like a fresh gras
Always busy but if you can find a spot to work the vibes are great and I always get a lot of work done. Coffee is amazing and I like the treats, cant go wrong with a peanut butter cookie. Occasionally artists are there and its really fun to watch them work.
Great coffee selections, super friendly service and they are QUICK! Very nice decor and plenty of seating. Right across the street for a pay lot, so parking is easy and not too spendy.
Millennially-trendy coffee place, and thats not meant as an insult at all. This place knows what it is and blares it for all to see. From the artist inside painting to raise money to help find one of their employees upcoming philanthropic trip to Indonesia, to the fair trade organic specialty coffee on sale, this is a coffee shop that is of the millennial, by the millennial, and for the millennial. Oh, and the coffee is good, too!
A great location, with great staff. Can be slow going. But is a wonderful alternative to you know who.
One sip of the coffee and i loved it! the place got very crowded and parking was hard to find but that’s nothing the shop could have controlled of course! I brought my backpack and was able to get so much done with their wifi and with a boost from their coffee. service was great too, super nice workers!
Baristas were nice and the service was fantastic.
My husband and I always love zoka. Good coffee, kind staff.
What a cool place! Really well made drinks and good drip coffee. I bought a bag of coffee to have for home because I liked it so much.
I enjoy their atmosphere and style. Big windows make for great views of the outdoors, or of others if youre a people watcher! I am not a coffee drinker, but their mocha is the tastiest drink I have ever had. Its fabulous.
My favorite coffee shop ever. For anyone whos ever hated how Starbucks burns their coffee, this place is cozy, beautiful, and super tasty! Their sandwiches are amazing, and I love their hot chocolate! The staff are all super nice and friendly. Great tables for sitting down in a beautiful, cozy, bright area to drink some coffee and work on your laptop.
Both times I’ve come here and ordered a mocha it seems like they simply pour a couple shots into a glass of milk. It’s very plain and basic for a $6 mocha coming from a place with such a rating. What’s the deal? At least maybe a little chocolate? Maybe some sweetener? I don’t understand the such good rating you guys have when I’ve given this place a chance twice and when it comes to a mocha the place is subpar at best.
Super friendly staff and great coffee drinks. Ambiance is more chatty and lively than a cozy coffee shop. I wouldnt come here to study, but would come to hang out with friends and catch up. They have food too! Bathrooms are super clean.
From the time I entered, ordered and paid for my coffee to be done was a expected amount of time. However, it must of took 20 minutes until my coffee was ready and then it was served to me in a for here mug, I ordered it to go! The barista set my drink to the side and continued making other drinks. While I waited there, other people came back to have drinks corrected. Then, finally! My new drink to-go was presented to me, but no apology! Not sure why she didnt just pour the first one in a to go cup? This was my first experience at Zoka in Kirkland, but I will give it a second chance as the coffee is actually good. Espresso drinker since 1983☕
What a wonderful atmosphere! Make sure you have time to wait for your drink though... It was busy and took a good 30 min to get my 16 oz. Drink. It appeared they only had one girl making the drinks, which is silly for a busy Saturday afternoon.
I recommend the Aztec mocha. I love buying their coffee beans to make at home at every busy. Great, quite atmosphere. Awesome study or work from home location.
Fantastic coffee shop. Normally have amazing cortados, cappuccinos, and pour overs. Super cool environment as well with lots of seating and great big windows letting in the natural light. The baristas here are also super friendly. This is one of my favourite shops.
