I came here with my daughter to help her with buying a first car. She had already picked one out from the website. After testing driving the car she decided that she wanted it. The little Impreza gets significantly less mpg than larger cars. For a college student this is not helpful. So I asked the salesperson if they could lower the price of the car. I made a offer $800.00 lower than their price. I based this on information from KB website.Of course he has to check with the sales manager. But he says he is their to get the lowest price for us. Basically working for us.He comes back with a sheaf of papers in his hand and puts them in front of me.The price is several thousands higher. Even beyond including sales tax.I ask whats this? He says that is for the service contract /warranty. $3300.00 with a $100.00 deductible. He did not ask if I was interested. The truth is the dealers make more from selling these service contracts than on the cars at times.A service contract is never a good financial decision unless the car is a lemon. They never made a counter offer to my $800.00 less which BTW I was asked to initial to show I was serious.Same old routine in used car sales sadly.
Bought a Certified Pre Owned Forester. They pressured me to buy extended warranty, I thought it may be useful but within a few months it proved worthless. First they sold me a car with a broken blind spot radar, which shows their inspection was not thorough. Then they refuse to cover it under warranty and said this is not a manufacturing defect. Lesson learned is extended warranty is worthless and only protect Subaru and not the buyer. Also, take their certified inspection with a grain of salt.
Bought a Ascent from Greg at eastside Subaru and had a great experience all around
Overall good experience and no real hassle. Was able to quickly get a solid price and worked with me to find the car I wanted and arrange to get it there, while I got a loaner of the same car in the meantime. This was key since it was a surprise for my wife and I wanted to have her come home and see the new car in the driveway. My only critique was that it was not a fast process in any way. There was little debate on pricing and it was a cash purchase, but still took a couple of hours.
Went to look for a car. They didnt have the one I wanted to see, and thats not an issue, but the rep basically said I was wasting his time. And somehow a car worth 10k is only trade able at 1700, after reconditioning... Nothing to recondition. What a joke.
After finding a 2014 CR-V EX-L for sale via a CarMax email found in my Spam folder, I took a chance, messaged the dealership, and got an immediate response from Sales Consultant, Travis Azeltine. I wasnt expecting to trade in my 2013 CR-V that day, but the attentive customer care I received from Travis was too hard to resist. When I arrived for our appointment and expressed interest in the car, he took a copy of my license, handed me the keys, and told me to take it for a spin. When I returned, he put zero pressure on me to purchase, and answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns with genuine kindness and respect. He even went to bat for me several times to try to negotiate a better deal with his manager, and he succeeded. It was one of the easiest, most stress-free car-buying experiences Ive ever had and I give Travis 100% of the credit for the fact that Im the happy driver of a nicer, newer version of the car I already had when I wasnt even planning to trade it in! Thats some sales talent. Thank you, Travis! 🙋🏼♀️👍🙏
The salesman was knowledgeable without being pushy. Pleasant experience
Friendly and easy to work with sales staff, and no pressure. Very happy with our experience and our new to us Subaru.
Quote one price on the trade-in before you come in and then they lowered it by $6,000 for no reason. Make you wait 2 hours then up the trade in value 2000. Make you wait 4 hours and change everything.
Words cant describe how excited and grateful I am to have a new Subaru! I had the pleasant surprise of running into Travis who is now my favorite Subaru dealer haha. Thanks for being a great friend and exceeding my expectations on the quality of car I could get. You guys are the best!
One happy customer.I am writing this review about a month after purchasing a 2011 Forester with about 100k miles on it. I worked with Jerry, who was a super nice, helpful, and low-pressure salesman. I had done quite a bit of shopping around for almost a month, and Jerry did the best at selecting cars that fit my specifications and my budget.I waited so long to post a review because I wanted to wait until my plates came in and transaction was really complete. The only negative was that it took nearly a month to get my plates in. They called me about four days before the temp registration expired while I was out of town for the weekend, so I wasnt able to get my real plates until my temp registration had expired for a couple days. But nothing bad came of that, just a little uncomfortable to drive around with an expired registration. That said, my check engine light came on a couple weeks ago, and this is really what pushed a good experience to a great experience. I emailed Jerry and asked if he could have someone read the code when I came in to pick up my plates. He/the mechanics not only got that done, but repaired a leaky hose—FOR FREE! (Its also worth noting that I did NOT purchase the extra coverage for this kind of thing, so even though it was a minor repair, they really could have charged me for it.)Great car, great price, great customer service. Thanks Eastside Subaru!
TL;DR Prevented purchase of a car because members of Subaru made fun of a seller... We asked the Subaru dealer to verify having held the title of a car we were looking to purchase as the car had a bare bones history report. We were unable to purchase the car because the dealer we wanted to buy from got word from Subaru that we had asked for verification. This caused the dealer offense as they were all laughing at me.---Overall the in-person interactions with Subaru were professional and pleasant, but their actions following prevented us from purchasing a vehicle we had already put a deposit on at an affiliated (?) dealer. We had gone to the used car lot of Subaru for an unusual reason. We were considering buying a used car from a different dealer down the block, but the car didnt have a very complete maintenance history and the dealer wasnt willing to let us get it inspected at a mechanic. The dealer we were considering buying the car from said he purchased the car from the used car lot of Eastside Subaru. Because of the lack of history and not being able to check out the car at a mechanic, we wanted to verify the vehicle had been acquired as told just for a sense of security. Probably not an important data point in retrospect, but the car seemed to good to be true, the seller was a fast talker, and while we had put down a deposit, we were like, well, whats the harm in asking?.So we went to the used lot of Subaru and everyone was very nice even given the strange request. They verified the car had been in their hands. We hadnt asked if it was with a specific dealer just, we are looking to buy this used car, it doesnt have much history, its not a subaru, do you do that kind of thing? Whats your process of inspection? etc. And again, everyone at Subaru was really nice and explained how they decide to take in cars and what to sell. They verified the car had been in their hands and shared the carfax report. Very nice of them and reassuring for us.We get to the dealer with the car we want to purchase (this was roughly five minutes later) and for the next hour we have the most bizarre unhinged interaction with the seller. The seller yelled at my wife (scolding her) about how not smart she was for calling to verify the car had been purchased from Subaru. And the whole ordeal started out with the seller yelling, I got a call from them, they were all *laughing* at me!So, long story short, we did not get the car, not because we didnt want to purchase it, but because the seller ultimately said I dont like you anymore, after, again, an hour of him berating the intelligence of my wife. We only stayed because it was unclear if a) we could get our deposit back and b) if he wasnt going to give the deposit back then let us buy the car. It was ridiculous. So, just a kind suggestion to the very nice people at Subaru Eastside, if you work with this seller and you know he has a fragile ego then it would be great if you would consider refraining from making fun of him until after the sale is finalized. And I get it, chum around with your people, but that was such a crazy and unhinged experience. We ended up being held hostage because we couldnt get him to sell the car or give our deposit back for an hour...and it seemed a big reason for this is because he got laughed at by some people on your team. And again, the interaction with Subaru was very pleasant and we thank them for that. We also understand that they are not responsible for the behavior of the seller we interacted with. We get that the seller was ultimately the one who did the crazy. But, dang, if this guy lost his marbles because he was laughed at, and that resulted in him arguing with a stranger for an hour all the while berating the intelligence of a customer who was just expressing reasonable concern... well, that was just bonkers and maybe worth asking him to refrain from mentioning your name in future sales.
Pretty dumpy place. The sales person didnt know what they were selling. Online pictures didnt match actually inventory. Puts a bad name on Subaru. Seemed like the outcast of a nice dealership.
My girlfriend bought a car here, and while she had a restricted budget the staff was great and helped her get a nice used car that was within her price range. The place is clean and maintained, and the cars are kept in good shape. Worth a stop if looking for a used car, especially Subarus.
My experience here was very good. The staff were patient with me, willing to be completely transparent about transactions, prices, and costs, and the salesman was much more honest than most others Ive seen. For a used car dealership, their cars were all clean, in excellent mechanical condition, and they were very willing to give me my space to think instead of being ridiculously pushy. I was quite satisfied with their service.
Lucas was very helpful and accommodating with our car search. He didnt try to over sell or push us into buying anything. He provided the information we needed to make a comfortable decision which made our car buying experience a pleasant one.
Very good people to deal with. Good number of vehicles. No pressure dealing.
Lucas Cortez is the man! He hooked me up with a great used 2018 Crosstrek. Ive been driving it for 2 months now and the car runs beautifully. I didnt feel pressured into buying a car that wasnt for me. Really good customer service! If you looking for a used car, this guy will help you find one!
Love this dealership!💖💖💖 Great people, nice cars, Good prices!! Jethro is Awesome, a real pleasure to work with!!! Service dept. is Great💖
I had a phenomenal experience at this dealership. The saleseman I worked with was very honest and helpful. He worked tirelessly to get me a good deal on a car that I really wanted. When there were issues with the bank financing the loan for the car payments, he and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything got taken care of in a satisfactory and quick manner. I look forward to maintaining a relationship with this dealership and its staff throughout the life of my new car. Great place to buy a Subarua and to get a Subaru serviced!
Check out steven rocha. good dude, hell take care of you, honest no games the way car sales should be. like others said no gimmicks or fishy business.i had a pleasant experience and am happy with my ride. Steven i wish you well, was good doing business with you.
Given the fact that a car purchase is such a huge deal in most people’s lives, Ive decided to write a long and thorough review of my experience doing business with East Side Subaru Preowned. For those of you with short attention spans, here is the TLDR summary:East Side Subaru Preowned has a wide selection of cars that will definitely meet your needs no matter what they may be. The people I interacted with during my purchase were great and I will definitely keep them in mind whenever Im back on the market. Learn from my mistakes, do your research and arm yourself with information before you walk in there (or any dealership for that matter). Read up on how to negotiate (I recommend Dave Ramseys negotiating tips)My wife and I drove 5 hours to test drive multiple cars in the Seattle area. After not finding anything we felt comfortable buying we somehow ended up at East Side Subaru Preowned. We thought we would just look around and see if the dealership had anything that would meet our needs and budget. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a gentleman by the name of Chris Smyth. He was very cordial and helped us find a compatible car. My wife and I took it for a test drive. It looked clean, had no major scratches on the paint, the interior seemed like it was in great condition, the suspension felt good, the manual transmission shifted smoothly, the motor sounded and responded well, nothing felt out of place. By the end of the test drive, it was evident that this car was the one. My wife and I agreed that since we were buying a used Subaru car from a Subaru dealership, there wouldnt a need to take the car to a certified mechanic to perform a pre-purchase inspection. I was smiling from ear to ear. On our walk back to the office I probably looked like a little girl running through a wheat field. That is where I messed up. Chris could tell that I was sold. When we brought negotiations to the table, he wasnt having it. Essentially, I had lost all walk-away power and with it, any chance at negotiating (Dave Ramsey would be so disappointed in me). Thankfully, I was not alone. I married up to a not only gorgeous but also highly intelligent woman who drew a clear line in the sand. She gave Chris an offer, he said he would talk about it with his team. After what felt like an eternity (5 minutes at the most), Chris came back, said I had to do a lot of arm twisting (I laugh every time I think about that) and accepted our offer. Chris proceeded to escort us to Richard Daos office. He was wonderful and made the paperwork process as enjoyable as filling out the paperwork can be. Very cool and funny guy. Finally, after all the paperwork was filled out and everything was signed, we met Chris at the front of the dealership. He handed me the keys, shook my hand and congratulated me on my purchase. My wife and I left East Side Subaru Preowned mentally, and physically exhausted but emotionally relieved and very happy that the search for a car was finally over. When we got home, I checked my email. Cargurus had sent me the listing of the car we had bought that day. I laughed out loud when I noticed that according to cargurus, the car was overpriced by $1100. Thanks to my wifes negotiating, we ended up paying what the the car actually was worth. Which is sad when you think about it because it shouldnt be that way but there is nothing I can do about that.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Chris and Richard were very professional. I will definitely keep them and this dealership in mind whenever Im back on the market for another Subaru.I will be writing an update of this review in 6 months.
I have had GREAT luck with buying pre-owned vehicles from Jerry Miller here. Low pressure and FAIR pricing always brings me back. Ask for Jerry Miller for great service and even better deals!!!
Bought a lovely pre-owned Subaru from them. It was easy. They are great to work with.
The service here is horrible. They treat you very bad especially if they find out you like one of their cars. They gave us a very bad pricing for our car and made us call them multiple times until we gave up almost to make a deal. Brandon Bitser was our agent and he gave us one of the most terrible services ever. Highly recommend not to go here.Edited: After a month of purchase, my car tyre was punctured. Took it to Les schwab to fix it. They told me that the tyres were factory tyres from the original purchase. Brandon told me the tyres were changed recently. They cheated us! Do not go here! Bad Service and Money grabbing!
Had a great experience here buying an 05 Corolla with Hussein Patwa. No sales gimmicks or hedging, just a simple haggle and a great car.
Worst place to visit the used car manager was rude never stop into this place better buy certified subaru elsewhere
Great experience buying a used vehicle. Brandon is great to deal with.
Terrible dealership! Probably one of the worst experiences! Contacted Cody Taylor about a car in their inventory and he confirmed the car is available as of 10am. Drove all the way from Bellevue to test drive - made it to the dealership around 11am and the car was “already sold yesterday”. Absolutely disrespectful! Waste of time, don’t go there!
Awesome, friendly salespeople that go the extra mile to help you find the right car. Ask for Greg!
So far so good
