Without a doubt the nicest QFC in the area. The store is extremely clean and modern; the employees are helpful; what more can I say? While nothing can fill that Publix-shaped void in my Florida native heart, this store comes pretty close.

This is the place where I work. at first glance its a nice store. Just stay in it longer and youll get what I mean, there have been a lot of issues with just about everything. From the non-working escalator, to the ungodly evil sun focusing windows that it loves to set behind, to the sad amount of checker employees. At least its not as bad the QFC at Harvard Market.

The staff at Kirkland Urban QFC are very helpful. My wife and I shop there all of the time and have had a good shopping experience there ever since they opened, although they tend to run out of some items more often than other stores. Two suggestions to make the shopping experience better. 1. The QFC guest WIFI signal is very weak throughout the store except at the checkout stand which explains why one cant unclip digital coupons while shopping. 2. The outside elevator may be your only way to get a cart full of groceries down to the parking garage. We discovered that out grocery cart last time out was missing a mechanical part needed to automatically load it onto the escalator that transports it down to the garage parking level.

You can find sleeping aids, pain killers, etc.At 8pm there was a single checkout opened which didnt make a lot of progress: the person on the line when I came in was still on the line when I wanted to pay. Fortunately there were the self checkouts on which there was no line.I saw a decent choice of liquors when going out.

We waited too long to order our precooked TGiving dinner and no smoked turkeys were available. My wife first visited the Bellevue store across from Bell Sq where a kind of cranky guy wasnt help, acting like she was keeping him from doing something else.So she called the Kirkland Urban store where Jennie, the deli manager, provided her with outstanding service. She told Chris that smoked turkeys were gone storewide but that she lived to the south and would check 2-3 other stores for pre-order cancellations. Two days later she let us know she would have a smoked turkey for us.Chris picked the order up this evening only to find punctured packaging prevented Jennie from releasing the turkey. She apologized and said she was glad she was there to be able to tell Chris herself. Were fine and look forward to a tasty meal. And we give thanks for people like Jennie who work hard (in a very difficult time) to bring a smile to customer faces. Thanks you, Jennie!Chris and Jerry

Sure there is a bar now with a decent happy hour, but the on the go quick bites and deli that the old QFC has been replaced with mediocre, way over priced food options. Surprised by the good reviews overall. The old QFC was mediocre as a grocery store but convenient for me with easy parking. My first experience at the new QFC:> staff are not experienced.1. I asked for organic asparagus and the person in the produce pointed to asparagus that was plainly not organic. His supervisor finally showed me organic nearby.2. The person in the fish dept. did not know what a fish steak was. He wrapped the fish (fillet) that I finally picked as if hed never done it before -- starting over a couple of times before finally finishing the job.> the selections are poor1. I looked for grass-fed beef and found nothing. Maybe I overlooked?2. I looked for fish spread to use as an appetizer. I even asked a third QFC employee who, for a change, actually was helpful and seemed to know what he was doing. But together we could find no spread _anywhere_ in the store.> the parking underground is not as convenient as the old one and its easy to lose your car.1. stalls near the entrance to QFC are all marked QFC. Not helpful when you return from shopping and want to find your car!I had hoped the urben QFC would be a cut above the old QFC. Instead, less choice, inexperienced staff and a bad parking situation.

Today, Aug 9th, went to QFC at 6am. No crowds. if you ignore all the specialty departments arranged on the outside perimeter of the store, it is just a regular QFC grocery store with much more stock than the old one. Today, we discovered the conveyor belts at the check stand eat / grab the produce bags, our peaches were left with an unusable bag. The bags are biodegradable, a soft, light green plastic, a great idea, but do NOT tie or close the bags, Because they are not clear, the checker has to open each bag to see see the tag to scan the item. Very time consuming. I think a great idea gone bad, productivity wise. We also participated in the great deal on the Copper river salmon for the Parkplace, excuse me, Kirkland Urban QFC only. Apparently we saved so much money on this, the order required a manager to override it. Also, a great idea to prevent fraud, but no one in the store had the key to override at our register and we waited 10 minutes or more. They tried all our credit cards numerous times and none worked, then I asked the checker to call someone, it wasnt due to our credit cards. Lots of newbies there. Glad to break them in. The produce guy was great, he brought out more items for us since it was so early they were just starting to refresh the produce stock. The parking is interesting, not many handicapped parking spaces, only 4. The escalator for the carts is a blast, but today the people escalator next to it wasnt operating and the extra tall steps on it were not easy for me to use with my two new knees and hips. Ill take the elevator next time. Everyone on the store is very friendly and helpful.

The Amount of food waste in the Deli Section is insane!Every 2 hours 50lb of chicken is tossed away along with the entire Hot Area items such as Pizza Sticks, Jojos, and Mac and Cheese. These items go directly into the trash, employees do not get to take any of this home nor do they get to eat it for free for lunch, on top of this there is no discount on soon to be expired items. What would make more sense is: After 90min, discount all hot food products for 30min, customers can enjoy fresh hot food for the first 90min, while those who are budget conscious, or show up at the right time, can enjoy discounted hot food items.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As a vegan, Ive constantly complained that this location and other Quality Food Centers did not cater to my allergy. They later added a Vegan section and only supplied Soy based products which is another allergy of mine (Soy free vegan)They soon supplied Wheat Gluten Vegan Products and I was more than willing to buy the items they had, but, unfortunately the vendor (or this location) marks up the price quite high. (6.99+ for 4 Wheat gluten sausages is insane). Id love to support the Vegan movement, If this location had more sales Id happily buy as much of this protein based food as I could, instead I walk by and wait for the price to lower. which then hurts the vendor because I refuse to pay the price listed. The Vegan/Organic Food Section hardly ever has sales and the new Bulk Food section is GREAT but its all Soy based which is probably why no ones uses it.Please support non-soy diets.

You won’t be asked if you’re finding what you need, unless you ask someone, that’s if you can find them. And then there’s some of the checkers and baggers... I am not sure what’s going on there but they are so rude and completely devoid of any personality. I even had one girl more or less scold me Bc I forgot my reusable bags. Not appropriate at all. I was bullied and harassed by some neurotic male who was screaming at me that I cut the line to the self service station. Usually people warn when someone cuts the line, and its totally fine to apologize and go back. But this one started aggressively yelling at me. Then after few attempts to make him change his attitude I had to tell him to shut up. It went on and on for good 10 -15 minutes. He told its a free country and he can say whatever he wants, hinted that Im not American, and even if I call the police I would be the one to get into trouble. The stuff of the qfc was just standing there and doing nothing, some of them were giggling. And the woman working there answered me that it was not her busyness to interfere and make that customer stop.Nobody in the store did or said anything. Now, think twice if you need to enter there. To my remark if that would be her business if someone was killed in front of her, she just rolled her eyes.Even the police officer I consulted with later that day was surprised that nobody said anything and the management of the store never stepped forward. He added that no other good store would let that happen.

While I enjoy the service and selection from most of this particular store, I must say that after repeated disappointments from their meat/ butcher dept that I will no longer be giving this store business in that capacity. In fact it will direct me to the Met, which is very close, and likely they will also be getting my business outside of the meat dept. Its aggravating to waste my valuable time on such lazy, incompetent and sub-par butchers. So I wont anymore! :) Update: went straight to the Met Market, they already had everything I was looking for and seemed surprised that I even had a doubt that they would. So odd! (Not). I have this weird thing where I like to make up stupid nicknames for stuff. Therefore, I pronounce QFC as Quiff-schee.This Quiffschee is kinda middle of the pack as far as Quiffschees go. They actually sell Kombucha at this one, a little less than competing markets, and they are the only place I have found locally that carries my very favorite flavor- Gt Synergys Passionberry Bliss. Other Quiffschees in the area dont seem to carry the booch. In fact, its the only place in Everett downtown that I can get it at (havent been to the co-op yet but i imagine they might have it.)Their donut (doughnut? dog nut?) selection is meh. They say Top Pot on the glass case, but they dont taste remotely fresh. Or like pot. They have a bigg(ish) deli section, which is grossly overpriced. Still, they have awesome Artichoke Jalapeno dip, which will do in a pinch, when there are no Kristin Cs around to make it for me.Prices are kinda high on some stuff, considering its a Kroger chain, and the other store (rhymes with red flyer) seems to carry more of a selection for significantly less than this store. BUT- Quiffschee does have pretty good prices on bottled Micros, compared to another local store that rhymes with chafe-gay.I come here a lot because my current victim lives a stones throw from here, and we both kinda lament coming here, but we still do, because of beer and Kombucha selection and price.
