Mitch in service was very helpful when I was in a pinch. I couldn’t find a specific bolt anywhere and other shops turned me away. He took the time to see what I was looking for and checked his supply. Sure enough he had it! I will definitely go back for my next service needs.
I had a bicycle with a front brake lever broken and also need to refill brake oil for both front and back brake, so I brought it here. They quote a price a bit less $200 with 3 weeks leading time. I agreed. After 3 weeks, I got a phone call with a new quote over $700 to replace both front and back brake/disk/pads. The reason to replace the back brake disk/pads is there are some oil. I take my bicycle back and send it to another bicycle shop, they fixed it by replacing the front brake for $135.Maybe this place is too busy, so they only welcome work with good profit.
Great shop with knowledgeable and helpful employees. Theyve helped me out in a bind multiple times. They carry mostly higher-end stuff and they focus on mountain/gravel/touring/commuter bikes so just know that going in.
I brought a new BmX bike to change the seat and adjust. This place is all show, not a real garage. First off the customer service was poor. Second, they had no parts to change the seat. Seriously, a 1 inch seat pipe with a swivel head. Took me 30 minutes to order and install it my self. Lastly, they did a terrible job adjusting the bike, the breaks went out after 2nd use. Somebody doesnt know how to tighten the break bolts, even thought its a BMX bike it has litteraly 3 screwes to tighten.Anyway, they charged me 130$ for nothing. A scam of a place.
Despite there being a worldwide bicycle shortage since spring of 2020, the shop is still able to get their hands on some amazing stuff. I bought a LIV Devote in spring 2021 after many months of searching. Service and parts department is top notch, white glove service. They have really cool tech here check it out!
I gotta say I’m so happy we came to Kirkland Bicycle. We came with no knowledge of Bicycles, the staff were more than helpful. They help recommend what type will fit into our budget, use and comfort. They made all the adjustments for height & tutored us on the new purchase. We got all the needed accessories to make this a good journey.I’m most thrilled by their reception of my active toddler who wanted to explore also and they sure indulged her. They assured us of always being available if any fault develops in the bicycle & warranty on the new purchase. I surely recommend this place to anyone & everyone.
Ive been here for parts and service a number of times and the experience has always been great. During the height of the initial COVID surge in 2020 they had a line out the door but they still took in my minor job to swap out some bicycle pedals and did it free of charge! Ive just been in again today and they helped me figure out how to install a bike lock mount on a tricky junior-size mountain bike with small frame and again did the install for me for free! I checked their prices on the parts Ive bought and they are about the same as REI, etc.., and am glad to give this local outfit my business.
I usually never write reviews to stores but i came in to get a flat tired fixed. The guy started talking about everything that is wrong in my bike. He said he is going to take a look at it but didnt mention he is going to charge me more for it !i thought he was just being nice ! This store plays dirty. Be ready.
Nice team and have always done great job. Thank you
Amazing place. People at Kirkland Bicycle care about every detail, their customer care is really great. Three thumbs up. I bought four bikes there and the service was incredible. KB is pretty much the only place to go when it comes to mountain biking. They are part of the trail community and make sure you are taken care of. I would go there for all my bike needs.
Kirkland Bicycle is a great bike shop! When Covid was raging, and everything was shutdown, I discovered their store on the web. I called them on a Sunday to see if there was any chance I could buy a bike tube, and they agreed to sell it over the phone, and have it waiting for me at the front door. That was perfect! A week or two later I repeated the same drill to buy a bike helmet from them.In May I decided I wanted to look at buying a new bike, likely a road bike, and Kirkland Bicycle was the first place I went. The team there provided great advice, the opportunity to test ride several bikes, and zero pressure. Huck, in particular, was a huge help. I ended up test riding multiple bikes at this shop and two other stores all on the same day for direct comparison. The gravel bike Huck had recommended ended up being the best riding bike I found so thats what I decided to buy. His advice was on the mark, and I am thrilled with the bike. (The Kirkland store did not have one in my size, so I scrambled and quickly bought the last one I could find in WA. Would have bought the bike from the Kirkland store if they could get one for me, but in early June the bike I picked was back ordered with no clear delivery dates. Huck and others at Kirkland Bicycle deserve the credit for guiding me to a great bike purchase.)Huck, Justin, and another one of their employees have all been helpful and straight shooters. Definitely recommend this place for bikes and bike parts.
Very pleased with my experience here. The staff was exceptionally polite and did everything they could to help me. Would absolutely recommend this shop.
Nick gave us excellent customer service. Ive been going to them since they were Montlake bicycle and even much farther back to when it was Brians bicycle before Nick was born. Nice being treated so well in my hometown during a pandemic really appreciate that.
Very friendly, competent service! Clearly knowledgeable. I will be going again for any bike needs.
2 flats, needed a tube, but another 1.5 hours til the store opened! luckily, someone arrived early, sold me what i needed, and let me use a pump. Great customer service!
These guys are fantastic. Along with Mountlake Bike shop, and CBS, the top three in our part of the state. And Ive been to nearly all the local shops for one thing or another...
Were checking the bicycle store for awhile now to have different options to select. This store is by far has the coolest rides we saw. The price is competitive as well.
Great friendly service. Very knowledgeable staff and helpful.
Absolutely and completely rude. We are in a time during this Covid 19 where many businesses are not allowed to operate. Bicycle shops not only are allowed but are having record high business traffic We are patiently waiting outside the store with our mask on in compliance and are greeted at the door with a gruff whats the deal. I will never return to this store.
Awesome helpful personal, carries assortment of bicycle accessories and clothing, there is a fitting room. I cant comment on bike repair or setup yet.
They know their bikes. Very nice. Lacking in E-bike experience at the moment but I bet theyll hop on the bandwagon soon.
Best mechanics in the Seattle area. Hands down. Super service and great people.
These guys are amazing. Very welcoming and not pretentious. Very knowledgeable and have great recommendations. Highly recommend for new bikes, repairs and upgrades. Im a very competent home mechanic and when I lack the tools or the know-how this is where I go.
Ive gotten two bike fits here from Joe. Hes really thorough and so careful about getting everything perfectly optimized. Also just a super nice guy. I also bought my last bike there and was really happy with the service. I dont live on the east side but I make the trip to Kirkland Bicycle for the important stuff.
Yes they rented me a nice mountain bike, but it wasn’t what I expected.I dealt with two mechanics, who were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The salesman (Huck) was not. Here’s what happened with Huck. After asking him whether the rental mountain bikes were appropriate for the trails, he told me once on the phone and once in person “we wouldn’t have any of these bikes if they weren’t appropriate for the terrain here.” Given they have a megatower and SB130 in their rental fleet.. Great, thanks. After asking him for a fun loop on the trail network he recommended (East Tokul), he told me he didn’t know any trail names. Again, thanks for the help.He pointed at a SB130 and told me I could rent that. Sweet! Took the bike home and it was an SB5. Ha, so $115 for the wrong bike. Thanks a third time!
Amazing! Great costumer service. A while back a bought a bike from them, and it was great. But today my scooter Brook and they hooked me up with tools and help! Thank you!
They were extremely helpful in helping me solve my bike issue and gave me a lot of great advice. people there were really nice. I went to two bike shops before this and they found the solution to my problem.
They were absolutely amazing best service ever
Chase did a GREAT job on fixing my wifes electric bike. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He went the extra mile to ensure the bike was in good working condition and took it for a test ride. Thanks Chase! 😎
This is my favorite bike shop in the Puget Sound area. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and dont try to oversell. They strive to match the right product for the buyer. I always get the feeling that they really want you to be happy with what you are buying.Other bike shops in Seattle have made me feel stupid because I didnt know the right terminology or they didnt think I was fit enough. Hmm, maybe that was why I was buying a bike? One day, I had a problem that I couldnt solve on my own and a friend recommend Kirkland bike. After my experience in Seattle, I was leery of even going in a LBS. I was glad I went. Not only did they solve my problem, they did it for a reasonable cost and made me feel like a valued customer. At Kirkland Bicycles, I have only been treated respectfully. They have never laughed or made fun of me if I didnt know the correct term. They even taught me how to do maintenance on my mountain bike and because of the great customer service, Kirkland Bicycles is now my go to shop for all my bike needs.
Really great service. Store has a good selection of bicycle accessories, and the staff gives great information without any pressure to buy. Also didnt feel looked down on because I have a cheap bike, staff was more than willing to work with it.
The shop is fine, but DO NOT go here to get your bike repaired. I spent $130 to get my bike repaired, but that was the worst waste of money ever. at first when I called I wanted one simple thing, for them to fix the gearing, and that was the only major problem on the bike. And on the phone they said that it starts at $20, later when I take my bike there they tell me that both my brakes needed to be fixed (because it was a saftey hassard) as well and they need to order some cables and blah blah blah, totaling to $110, I dont know to much about bikes so I took their word for it, later when I went to pick up my repaired bike I tested it out and the front break was broken, they didnt even test if they fixed the break right! So I went back and they said that they needed to change another part, totaling in at $16.66, so I payed and they fixed the breaks. But the breaks were exactly the same as before, they didnt do anything to them. And to fix the gearing they charged $60! Which I know is easy, because I wouldve done it myself if I had a bike stand. To sum up, I brought my bike there, they totally marked up the price on everything and said I needed to fix a ton more stuff then I really did, then they broke my bike and made me spend another $16 just to get it back in the state that it was before, taking $100 from me. Find a better bike store for repairs and dont go to this one
Great customer service and bike techs. They always are so helpful and answer my questions. Theyve done all sorts of free inspections to make sure things are safe.
This is what a bike shop is all about!!! I know that when I drop my bike off that it will come back to me ready to tackle another trip to Whistler or some other Northwest trail. With a selection of bikes from mild to wild they are sure to have a bike that is just right for you.
Staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Best MTB shop in the greater Seattle area. However I was slightly disappointed when my freshly built wheel (by them) wasnt completely true. But their expert and personable service completely makes up for my extra 15 minutes of work re-truing. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone, because it blows the surrounding competition out of the water. Also has cute dogs working in the shop!
Santa Cruz dealer, just good to know! They are very good. Standard + bike shop, very nice, recognize you when you come in! Small town, but relatively large store with a good selection, or very happy to order things for you.Overall, good experience, good service and very nice staff
Great selection of bicycles and good price. We are coming back in February to get one for my daughter. Nick was very nice and kind helping my daughter with details. Looking forward to visit them again
Took care of me right away! I was traveling through town and they squeezed me in so my bike trip did not get delayed.PS Theyve got a few nice looking Altitudes in there!
Great staff. Makes me feel like I am back at home in Colorado. Super knowledge about their product but never feeling pressured to buy or in the way. I think a perfect bike shop is one you lose track of time in. This is Kirkland Bicycles feel throughout the staff.
I bought my bike here a few years ago, and have been getting tune ups since then. Theyre always friendly and helpful. Ive never felt a hard sell.
Spent money on bicycle stuff. Got what I wanted and was shown how to use everything. Staff was extremely helpful, will shop again for more bicycle stuff in the future.
I was 15 miles from home with underinflated tires and no pump. These guys cheerfully took care of my tires in a jiffy and wouldnt even take my money! Thanks, fellas. Might not have made it home without you.
Drove cross country and had my mtn bike and tri-bike in the bed of my truck and drove through some heavy rain and snow storms. I dropped my bikes off for tune and check up. I asked them to not grease the chains but only degrease them. When I picked the bikes up, I asked if the chains were cleaned but not greased and I got differing answers. As the picture shows, if the chains were cleaned but not greased then it was not done well. If they were cleaned and greased then I don’t know what lube is so black. Also one of the shifters needed replacement. The wrap was performed poorly with rough edges showing. Overall for the money spent not impressed for the money and time spent.
Good guys. Quick work too. I stopped in for a wheel truing over lunch and they didnt even take 20 minutes to get it done--and it was a messed up wheel.THANKS!
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. This is a place where they go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied.
The chain snapped on my mountain bike. I called them and they said bring it in and well get ya rollin again... I brought it in and was immediately greeted and my bike was escorted to the back for repair. It only took them about 15 min to repair, test ride and roll back out to me! Im just getting back into biking and already have my go to shop! Well done Kirkland Bicycle!
Very professional and really knowledgeable staff!
The best mountain bike shop in the area. The people knowledgeable and service is extraordinary.
I called all over the place looking for a Rockshocks DU bushing on a Sunday. Most places didnt have one in stock or werent open. Kirkland bike had a bunch, AND I didnt have to explain what the part was on the phone, the tech/shop worker just new. Huge plus. Also they have a shop dog, and are within walking distance to Taco Del Mar. Pretty good experience, Id recommend it.
Welcoming, respective service. I needed a new tire & tube and was promptly taken care of. Absolutely recommended, and Ill be doing business here again!
Very friendly. Willing to just talk bikes. Great brands that are actually in Stock. Highly recommended.
These guys are great. Friendly and helpful and know their stuff.
Kirkland Bicycle is a great bike shop catering more to the racer and mountain bike crowd than the commuter crowd judging from the accessories they carry. The staff is super helpful which is good since they are my local shop. I wish they had more than cannondale bikes, but I plan to try out their service department next.
Fantastic shop, accommodated me when busy and never made me feel like a nuisance.
As a out of Towner, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I always bring my bike in for tune ups and they have a great selection of bikes as well.
I left bicycle for technical service and paid hundred bucks for it. They didnt check chain elongation. After couple of weeks I have a hook shaped cogs and have to replace a cassette. Never return back.
Awesome shop. Ive always received good recommendations on components, maintenance advice, and general helpfulness from everyone at the shop. I also ordered the new Ibis Ripmo through them, and when the bike was delayed from Ibis, Josh (owner of the shop I believe) ended up giving me the Ripmo he ordered for his personal bike! Cant argue with that customer service! Highly recommended.
Selection was a bit limited but customer service was excellent. Would come back. Favorite bike shop
Great local bike shop (LBS) with great, knowledgable service.
Good Service.
Its expensive
Best bicycle service in the Seattle Area! Great sales staff as well, lots of knowledge and no pressure!
Just bought a bike for my son here. They listened to our needs and offered a number of options. They took the time to make final adjustments and modifications to be just right for my son.
Love this shop. Theyve been super helpful and honest with us about bikes, accessories, and service.
Great bike shop with super friendly and helpful staff.
We were at the counter ready to purchase a bike. We had been waiting patiently. When the next employee was available, he ignored us, looked past us, walked around us to help the next young lady in line. I assumed we were next because she was behind us, but if she had been waiting longer, we would have been fine waiting if the employee had been nice enough to acknowledge us since we were right in front of him. It was like we were invisible. We just walked out. I would give no stars if possible.
Great store, great atmosphere, and great employees
Terrible experience. I purchased a pair of cycling shoes for my wife, not knowing which cleats were needed for her classes. I was told by the salesgirl that I can bring it back if needed. I later found out that it was indeed the wrong type of shoe. Being from Canada, I drove over 2hrs back to refund the item. This is where a different salesman tells me that the item was on clearance and that it is final sale. Nowhere on the box was a sales price, nor was there anything stamped on the receipt saying that they were on special or final sale. I explained this to him and he replies sell it on pinkbike. This is the exact type of poor attitude that puts me off from buying from local bike stores. I try to support these small businesses, but these shoes were on special for $119, but the exact shoe is $79 online!! This is why I expected them to be regular price and refundable. He would not even issue a store credit! I frequent the area and you have now lost a customer. Ill tell all my cycling clubmates to steer far away as well. 👎🏼
Went in for a bike demo and had an excellent experience. They setup the bike suspension, tire pressure for my weight, despite the fact it was a 15 min parking lot ride.
Great customer service. Heather is the best!
Its not a quick in and out trip; when Ive been here theres often a wait, but the customer service is good. Ive taken my bike in for a mechanical evaluation and rented a bike.
Fabulous! KB built a bike I bought online - project was done ahead of schedule and on budget.
Great knowledgeable and helpful service, awesome when dealing with fellow riders who share the same passion for riding.
These guys are fast and they always find a fix. I found a loose spoke on my bike on a Sunday before a ride. I went down to Kirkland Bicycle and they had it all fixed within in 15 minutes. They even noticed that my derailleur was slightly out of alignment so they fixed that too. Another time I broke the bolt on my crank so I went down here to get a replacement. They guy had to dig through their boxes of hardware, but he didnt give up, and he found one that worked. And the prices are always reasonable too. This is definitely my favorite shop in the Seattle area.
I just moved to the Downtown Kirkand area and asked around for a good bike shop with good mechanics and Kirkland Bycycle came highly recommended by long time locals! THANK YOU TO GARRETT & JOE who provided excellent, knowledgable and thorough service getting my road bike back into shape!! They took the time to go over all my questions and expedited the service and finished my bike early!!! They went above and beyond and am so happy to have a new shop with great mechanics!! THANK YOU GARRETT & JOE & KIRKLAND BYCYCLE!!!!!
Ive been looking for a shop like this for years. These folks are helpful, honest, wont try to sell you something you dont need, and are very friendly.
Great service and good products
Great selection, great staff, great service department!
The shop installed fenders on my road bike and answered all my questions about new bikes. Good service.
Friendly, helpful and patient staff!
Learn some respect tbh
Great independent bike shop with no Specialized products!
Kirkland Bicycle is a fantastic bike shop. Their selection is excellent and their prices are reasonable (except on clothing). But where they shine is their helpful and knowlagble staff. Josh the owner seems to have a talent for picking some of the best employees I have ever run into in a bike shop. Aaron will give you a professional fit that will make your bike feel like it was made just for you, Matt the lead mechanic is a magician when it come to that wierd vibration or noise that no one else can detect, and all the rest are eager to please, remember your name, and go out of their way to make sure your experiance was as good as it could be. They are the only shop I take my bikes to, and unless Josh sells it and everyone gets fired, it will remain the only shop for me.
Great service, great staff. Rented a road bike for the day.
Got my tire patched and a tune up on my bike.Bike makes a nice purring noise now instead of the old discontent grumble.
I had an issue similar to an earlier review. Service was horrible. Young group of guys working could be the issue. When I finally got service, Guy at the desk was almost uncertain of how to answer my questions... just talked under his breath with uncertainty looking at his co workers. But hey could be the fact that I was trying to buy parts for a 2000$ canondale rush and not a 7000$ Santa cruz... who knows.
Ultra helpful staff fast service. They rock the house.
Do NOT go here!!! Will upsale you to Death and will take Forever to do any repairs you want done!!!
Very friendly and helpful
Great shop.
Big ripoff like most bike shops, why does everyone keep paying these ridiculous prices?
Good people
