I have been to this service department at Eastside Subaru many times and there have been times when I question their thoroughness. I have told them many times of a loud humming from the rear of the car and never get any follow up. However, the most recent event was when I came in for an oil change today.1. They failed to tell me there is rodents under my hood. See photos of seeds on my engine block and bits of fur near the belts. Even if they cant clean it out themselves, this would have been good to know before a bigger problem occurs.2. They failed to update my milage sticker, or mixed mine up with another cars sticker. It is a small detail, but it helps me keep up with the care of my Subi.I still love Subaru and each time I go into Eastside Subaru, the representatives are kind. But I am loosing faith in their Service Department. I will take my Subaru to another location to be serviced.
I did the 12K service there, and then I was stuck on the road without four lug nuts on the rear right wheel. I checked the nuts of the other wheels they all were loose. When I came to the service, the manager Jeff tried to explain that Subaru wheel studs are so bad, and they replace them constantly. I explained that nuts on the other wheels were loose and only then he agreed that a technician who did the 12K service forgot to tighten my wheels with the proper torque.
My experience coming here as left me questioning the service department attention to detail and trustworthiness. First: I took my crosstrek in for an oil service and spark plug Change, both customer pay. Not even a mile down the road from picking up my car, it started to misfire. Luckily, I was able to crawl home when I could diagnose the issue. One spark plug coils completely came out and was hanging off the block. So I guess the technician didnt torque to specification. Second: yesterday I took my wrx in for an oil and had put something somewhat valuable in the glove box, the item isnt important. What is important this this its the only thing missing from my car now. Been trying to get hold of either the service manager or the service advisor. Both have been unresponsive. If this is how Eastside Subaru conducts themselves. Ill take my business elsewhere.
Pulled The car into the service valet area and greeted by an employee. Dropped off car for a few recalls. He said vehicle would be ready around 5pm. As our day went along we needed the car before 5:00. We contacted our customer service rep and he said our car will be ready by the time we need it. When we arrived our car was ready to go! Greeted again by the employee. We went over the very detailed and easy to read receipt, and then gave us our keys and we were off!
This is the best car dealership Ive ever been to in my life. Their customer service is exceptional. A new addition is a video they take of your car to show you everything they have checked. I cant think of any way that they could improve on their service.
We had a very positive experience during the buying process with Eastside Subaru. Ryan Thompson, our salesperson was very attentive and easy to work with. He was diligent with follow-thru and kept us abreast of important information, response to questions, arrival date and comprehensive details on the technology with our new Outback. Also, when Ryan was not available, we did appreciate other team members pitching in to line up test drives, appointments and answers to questions that came up.

Great experience all up - I was pre-emptively overwhelmed at the thought of car shopping but Ian walked us through every step of the process and was super communicative, which we really appreciated as it made everything much easier. Car is great and follow up services were also great so far.
Small lot, had literally 3 cars out for sale - no one even approached us when we were walking around. I realize the chip shortage has a lot to do with the lack of cars but, the lack of care is completely on the dealer.
Not a good place to get your vehicle serviced unless you dont care how much you spend. I am scratching my head when I received the bill. Then I realize their labor cost is astounding $180/h. Will not go back for service again...

On Oct 5th my wife and I purchased a 2018 Legacy from Brandyn. We had a great experience at Eastside Subarus pre-owned lot. Brandyn was very helpful and made our car buying enjoyable. The car itself is fantastic and if youre in the market for a car give Eastside a look. If pre-owned is what youre looking for, go to the pre-owned lot and ask for Brandyn. Hes great.
Positive experience in buying our new Subaru Ascent. Love the car. Our salesperson, Bain Chiba, was great - very upfront, willing to take all the time we needed to make a decision. Now, the downside - we traded in our Outback and felt like we had to really push to get as much as we did on the trade in. They said the manual transmission was a negative, etc. But - we saw today, online, that Eastside pretty much immediately turned around and listed our old car for double what they gave us in trade in. We certainly understand the need to make money off the used car but feel like they should have been more willing to come up with a legitimate trade in value, rather than lowballing us. Guess it is our fault for not walking away and selling the Outback on our own. Always learning!
Artur was a great help in these difficult times where cars are not Available. He gave us weekly updates on when our car would arrive, and even gave us the good news that our car arrived a week early . He also gave us the right advice on financing etc . We are super happy customers and are definitely buying another Subaru from Artur ! Thanks Artur !

I worked with Brandyn and Isaiah to sell my car and purchase a used car. They were both very friendly and genuine throughout the entire process. Brandyn was very knowledgeable about Subarus and helped explain all the features that came in the car. Made purchasing a car a lot less painful!
They do not respect the Subaru extended warranty, and want proof that the part failed due to a manufacturing defect. When I pointed out that the charges for the part is more than what was available at Subarus website, they suggested that I should buy the part from the website and they cant change their price. They dont seems to provide service to you and instead take the approach that they are always right and you are wrong.
The agent is very polite and cordial and is really helpful. However, The prices are ridiculously high for the pre-owned. It does not makes sense to pay 32K for a 2019 Forester CPO with 18k miles while the 2021 New Forestor are listed as 33.5k in your website. The pricing difference is insane. I will request anyone to do the research before finalizing.
Traded in my old car and got a 3-year-old white CrossTrek with perfect condition (although it’s not certified). We are super happy about this purchase and love this car so much. I live close by and the next closest dealership is 30 min away, so I end up getting my service here even though Ive had multiple bad experiences. The latest issue Ive had has to do with my recall appointment. They set my service appointment and then when I got there to drop my car off they told me they wouldnt be doing my service until the same time the next day. When asked if I could just bring my car back tomorrow, I was told that my car needed to be there to be in the queue and that if I brought it back tomorrow (Thursday) that it wouldnt be done until Saturday. The service tech could not understand why I was frustrated by the fact they needed my car to physically be there to wait in line, or why they couldnt just make my appointment for tomorrow if thats when it was going to be worked on. Its just sitting in the lot, I cannot fathom why it needs to be there to wait until tomorrow. The tech was also unapologetic and kind of rude about it, like it was reasonable that they needed the car for 24 hrs to do a 2-3 hr service with no loaners available.

I went to this dealership for 30k mile servicing. The servicing advisor pointed out that according to some preliminary laser scan, the front left camber might need alignment, which would cost $140 before tax. I felt this was expensive and would love to get quote from another auto shop. He said they would check and verify if my car actually needed this alignment or not, if not, they wouldnt charge me. So I agreed.However, when I came to fetch my car and the report and get charged for $154 for the alignment, the report didnt have the data before the alignment. The other servicing advisor himself was surprised. I insisted on having that data, he just said there were some machine errors.Im not sure if they actually checked if it was necessary to do the alignment. They did it anyways and charged me over $150. As a customer, I felt my trust to this dealership is hurt.Oh by the way, I got quote for the same operation from another auto shop, it was less than $100.Im not saying their service is bad by giving only 1 star. My previous experience in this dealership was actually quite well, they even offered me a complimentary ride to my home this time. But for this time being, it was all about trust. I want to raise some awareness.P.S.1. The receptionist on the phone was somehow impatient and inaccurate when I called in to make the reservation. She said they were busy recently and the earliest time available would be in September. However, when I checked online, there were quite a few time slots for early August. Thus I made the reservation from online by myself to avoid longer waits.2. They forgot to update the windshield sticker for the next servicing time/mileage.3. I dont mean to be critical, I understand everybody is under pressure during this crazy time. But lets have some growth mindset by facing where the problem is and make a change where possible. Cheers.

Worked with Travis, who was extremely straightforward and worked with me on a price that was fair and competitive, but without the B.S. other dealerships were giving me.We exchanged about 20-30 emails, did three test drives, and unfortunately my car was so popular that it was either selling out or unavailable. But the guidance and support that Travis provided was top-notch.After the right car became available, finished the process up with Jose and the business team. Happy with my purchase!Overall, this was a good experience, one that I could rank high against the four or five other places I was shopping for cars at. Would look forward to working with them again!

When we picked up the vehicle, he again reviewed with us the vehicle’s technology. Before deciding on the vehicle, I researched its price and the amount we should expect on our trade in. The deal on which we agreed was very fair. This was our best experience of car buying or leasing. In short, the customer experience and service were excellent and the deal very fair.

I went in to try out their express oil change for our 2011 subaru outback with no appointments necessary. After the paper work was done with an extra charge $10 above the coupon price for the extra .7 quart oil, he said there would be an hour to an hour and a half wait, then he asked whether i want to wait the 90 minutes or reschedule with an appointment. After 10 minutes of waiting, i decided to go elsewhere since i dont think they wanted my service done there.

Did a oil consumption test for my friend, but instead of strictly sticking to what they were suppose to do they did unauthorized work on my friends cars damaging her wheel, admitting to it and will not offer to fix it. Service manger was pretty disrespectful
First time at this particular Subaru fit an oil change. Everything went smoothly and Tony was accommodating and fast.
DO NOT PURCHASE a used car here. I bought what I was expecting to be a good “certified” forester in Nov 2021. This car hasn’t even put on enough miles for an oil change and it’s been in the service dept 4 times. They don’t properly inspect the vehicles before reselling them or the recalls would have been performed before the sale. It’s unfortunate this is the 2nd Subaru I’ve purchased and will be the last.

I wanted to input my experience today with Eastside Subaru. My reason for visiting was a scheduling through a recall order on my car. With luck Eastside was the location closest to my work, and I am very glad with that. The work came off as swift and well orchestrated and I really appreciated the text (Anne)communication with updates on my “Subi” and even some complementary suggestions towards future tune ups! I dislike nothing more from mechanics than what seem like upselling hustles at times. And I’ve sadly experienced that enough times from other local Subaru mechanics. Thank you to “text expert” Anne, the Mechanic, the kind young lady at the front desk that sent me on my way. She was super and clearly full of smiles, even behind the mask and most welcoming, and kind. I’ll be transferring my “ “Subi” needs to Eastside.
Salesman was easy going and friendly enough. Two stars given for the finance guy, who was unfriendly and made what should have been an easy process difficult and uncomfortable. I will never use this dealership again for service or purchasing.

I purchased my 2021 Subaru Outback from Eastside Subaru and had a very good experience. Reason for that is, before deciding on my car, I have visited a few other Subaru dealers and Eastside Subaru was the most courteous and provided me with all the information that I requested and the purchase was hassle free. I have been in communication with Gulnaza for few months and she has been most helpful and friendly person I have ever dealt with in any dealer shop. She was not planning to sell me extra and only what I wanted. She made sure that I was happy with my car and even came to work on her day off to take care of my car purchase.
Staff and techs are super helpful. Theyve always point out exactly what I need to know about my Baja, and how to keep her on the road for a long time.They also give my dog plenty of loves while we are there.

I had a wonderful experience working with Eastside Subaru. From the start, Isaiah was fantastic to work with and went above and beyond to try to find the perfect car for me. We talked through multiple options and he made sure that I always had a well itemized invoice for each vehicle we considered. In the end I bought elsewhere, but only because I had a tight timeline and was able to find the exact color and accessories I wanted. Isaiah was able to find one that worked just as well the next day, but I felt I needed to jump on the one I had found. I will reiterate though that I was much happier with the service I received at Eastside Subaru. They never tried to upsell me on anything and were totally transparent about everything the whole time, which I cannot always say for other dealerships. I will absolutely be starting at Eastside Subaru the next time I am in the market for a car.

Service department is terrible, unprofessional, rude and unhelpful. They can turn you away anytime without acknowledging your issue and make it look like your fault. I am very disappointment by service performance and I had bought zero meter car on cash from them just a year ago. Sales dept is good and keep covering up for services fault. My brother experienced tne same thing in service department. Clients should not be treated like this.
This is the fourth car my family has purchased at Eastside Subaru and we will continue to send business their way (including our own). They made the car buying process easy and comfortable, and I never felt pressured for all of the extra bells and whistle packages. I worked with Travis at the used car lot and he was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgable about the different used cars on their lot and what would best meet my needs. Additionally, once my purchase was finalized he took the time to go through my cars settings, offered to help me set-up bluetooth and radio, and made sure all of my final questions were answered.
Highly recommend Artur, because of him, my purchase experience in Eastside is great and happy, very efficient and every cost is transparent. He is very patient and responsible for customer, even after I made my purchase, he still responds quickly to my questions and explains every detail. Our car buying experience was awesome. But when we came back to pick up our license plates, the girl at the service desk was pretty rude to us. Definitely ruined our experience with this place if they have people like that working here.

I mixed up time to be there and found out later I was late to appt but Lena never mention it snd took her time explaining everything. She really know her Subarus!!! No high-pressure sales tactics and I never felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me for anything. I was truly impressed with East Side Subaru. I was in the market for a new Subaru Forester. After sending in inquires to several dealers in the area, East Side was the first to get back to me with a competitive offer, and that was without any negotiation!! From the start, I felt no pressure and I was impressing about how transparent they were being with their pricing. Every other dealer gave me the full MSRP as their price and/or required me to come in for a test drive before giving out any numbers. Within 30 minutes and few back and fourth emails, I had locked down a great price. The following day I came in for my test drive and within 3 hours I was driving off the lot with my brand new Forester! Not once did I feel pressured. In addition, I truly felt welcome and respected while there. A++ to East Side Subaru. I am very happy I found them.
Excellent service. They got recalled part installed in the Outback and kept me updated via phone on other servicing. No surprises at the payment desk. I was very impressed with their Covid-19 safety measures for both customers and staff. It was a no touch experience. I will buy my next Subaru here, as the service department is top notch!
“Service” is the critical part of an automotive service department. The Service Department at Eastside Subaru absolutely lives up to that name! We took our 2019 Legacy that we recently purchased from another dealer to Eastside to repair a faulty gas tank that would not allow us to completely refuel. Our Service Advisor, Vita, graciously had a loaner vehicle ready when we dropped off our car and called to identify a missing under-car engine guard. Vita offered to order the part and gave us the option of picking up our car or keeping the loaner. We picked up our car and called the dealership where we purchased our car. Vita informed us she could repair the car and helped us coordinate with the other dealer to charge the service to them! Vita was absolutely trustworthy and responsive, and her actions and attention have more than earned our gratitude and endorsement!

I recently brought my car in for its 30k routine maintenance checkup and was a little shocked by the price and sent a quick message to the staff. I got a call from one of the managers, Jeff, apologizing for my confusion over the cost of services and offered to reimburse me some of the expenses!My husband and I mostly use our Subaru so keeping it in good shape is important to us. We’ve had great service other times so we were thrilled when they called to make amends. It is clear to me customer service matters very much to them as long as you are willing to give them your feedback respectfully. We will continue to use Eastside Subaru now considering our car is still pretty new. Thank you Eastside!Also, the waiting area is great. Snacks and drinks are available, it’s easy to socially distance, and at past appointments I was able to bring my work computer and use their WiFi to get work done.

Exactly the Model, Option Package & other items we wanted. Guy did a great job letting us know when the model we wanted was expected to arrive, and it did. He also told us of the passion other Subaru owners have due to the features on Subaru vehicles. He wanted us to be able to understand and easily use all the controls, buttons and displays so we can safely drive in all light and weather conditions. He quickly explained, in the car, all the choices we could customize to our needs and said to be sure to call if any questions came up. He gave us great tips on car care and I was glad to hear the service dept is open on Saturdays. Juana quickly explained all the finance options and forms I needed to sign and to call with any later questions.

Eastside Subaru clearly puts their resources into new sales, not pre-owned. The communication and function of pre-owned was disjointed and dysfunctional between service and sales department. As soon as I purchased the car, I stopped hearing from sales or service about updates on when the detailing would be finished, or heard incorrect information. When I heard back, I was notified the car was ready by two different employees, when I drove out the next day it was still in service and not able to be picked up. The err was made worse when I was chastised for not answering my phone on the drive out. Was not notified the car did not have a complete set of keys. The huge positive was that Greg helped me to buy a car that was very competitive with lots of competing buyers, and Im hugely grateful for that. Greg was humanizing in his experience in the industry. All else, the experience was bad.
I had a great experience working with Gulnaza in purchasing my new Subaru at Eastside in Kirkland. The service was prompt, polite, there was follow up with me online even before visiting the floor and test driving models, and the price was reasonable - they were willing to match other quotes. I felt very well treated and I am very happy with my car and their customer service.
I have purchased 3 different Subaru’s from this dealership since 2015. All I can say is that they are easy to work with. They make purchasing a car easy/no hassle, the process is fast. If you come here then ask for Ben,he’s been here a long time and knows what he is doing. He will make sure you have a great purchasing experience.
Outstanding With A CaveatI requested a test drive with a possible trade in online. I received a reply quickly and was told that Nick would meet when I arrived. True to this I arrived and NIck greeted me and went over a very easy review of the test drive ground rules. I took the vehicle out for a nice test drive and upon returning knew that this was a super nice vehicle. After some communication back and forth Nick and myself agreed to a price for a 2021 Subaru Outback. Upon returning after test driving other vehicles I met with Nick at his desk Social distancing measures were always adhered to. We went over the package involved in purchasing a new vehicle including warranties, etc. We agreed to a purchase price and I was told to wait in a very nice waiting area for a finance employee. This is where the caveat comes in and the day goes south. I had agreed to a down payment amount and a monthly payment with NIck. In the finance office the gentleman goes through a list of warranties I previously had declined and informs he he has to go through these again. When I decline all of them there are some bizarre comments asking me if I believed in warranties, etc. I said no and was told that these vehicles are expensive to repair and really? For the down payment I only had a debit card and was informed that this would not be taken, needed a check. My ride had left and I was there with only the debit card. Basically was told tough and needed a check. While I waited outside for my wife to get home to north Seattle, I informed her that she would have to return to Kirkland with a check. During this time I did thing about cancelling the entire transaction. Nice approached me outside twice and asked if he could get me anything while I waited and said he was aware that I had to wait for my wife to return with a check. No problem as it was my fault that I the down payment was what was allowed. He asked how it went in finance. I informed him that the only reason I was still purchasing this vehicle was because of him. Long story short, the vehicle is awesome and luckily for me my salesperson was knowledgeable, professional and worked with us to get this vehicle.

The service manager Jeff and employee Toby were both so RUDE and disrespectful. Do not go to this location for services on your Subaru. They just want your money, dont trust these guys.

After scheduling this appointment with two weeks of advance I finally took my car to get a simple oil change, tire rotation and for a mechanic to check a little “problem” I was experiencing.For my surprise, they had to give me a loner car explaining that it would take some time for a mechanic to be available to see my car.I left my car on a Friday morning and was only able to get it back on Tuesday of next week. And that is only because I called to ask about it. Otherwise I am positive it would take even longer.In addition, the receptionist was very impatient, and unable to give me a proper answer for my questions regarding the car.They also charged me $137.57 for the oil change. All of the other dealerships that I’ve been taking this car only charged me $88. That is a difference of almost $50 dollars. They also scratched my car pillar.To summarize, I will be taking my business somewhere else.
I was having a strange experience with my new 2020 Subaru Outback, where the battery kept dying and required a jump each time I needed to drive. By the 4th time I had it, and called Eastside Subaru very upset. Jeff the Service Manager not only listened and empathized, he quickly went into action getting me a loaner car so that I could take care of what I needed to, and picked up my car. Within an hour or so of getting my car to the shop, he had it scoped / evaluated and a new battery installed. I was then delivered my car the next day without any issue and my new Outback is starting like a champ! Jeff is truly customer centric and very patient with upset customers. I am a very happy Eastside Subaru customer, and happy I bought my car from here and have it serviced there.
I started the search for my next vehicle online and reached out to Eastside Subaru. I was quickly contacted by the Internet sales person Guy Parker. He immediately offered me the information I was looking for along with their best price and full details/breakdown of the lease special Subaru was running this month. We quickly identified the vehicle that I wanted with the specific options and color. I had a brief phone call with Guy, he was very knowledgeable and low pressure. We made an appointment for the next day and when I arrived the car was ready and sitting out front for me to go test drive. From then on we reviewed the numbers one more time, everything looked good so we proceeded to move to finance. Mike Renz got me in and out of finance promptly. He offered some specials they had on prepaid maintenance and protection packages and then we signed and off I went in my new vehicle! I couldnt have asked for a better experience! I already knew what I wanted and was ready to buy. Luaye was so nice and didnt run around in circles trying to show me other models, colors or try to get me to buy a less expensive car. He listened and shared personal stories that helped me understand certain features and add-ons (highly recommend Starlink to EVERYONE). They even RUSHED the exact car I wanted from Tacoma so I wouldnt have to wait more than 2 days to have it (was initially told about a week)Overall, Im very happy I bought from Eastside Subaru. Ive received a lot of communications and while some people might think filling out surveys and getting emails is annoying, I feel its a great inside-look into how they are trying to improve the quality of service at every level and truly care about their customers and how their vehicles are working for them.
WOW! I had the best experience today at Eastside Subaru. It was fast, efficient, and really easy. I appreciated that Isaiah was respectful of my time but was also very personable. Id been dreading buying a car because of the games usually played, but this situation was the complete opposite. I walked in/out in two hours, traded in my old car and left with keys in my hand. Plus, it was the last few days of the year which is always crazy! Thank you Isaiah for making this such a wonderful experience. I am SO happy. Highly recommend!
We decided to purchase our first new car through Eastside Subaru after talking with multiple dealerships. We were able to test drive our car and finish up all the paperwork in just a couple of hours. The staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. We even have our first service appointment scheduled. Well definitely be coming back in the future!

Just as great as all the review says. Very competitive upfront quote from Internet sales that simplifies negotiations a lot and saves each others precious time. No surprise or pushy sales throughout the process. In 2 hours I was able to pick up my ordered car and drive away. Nothing beats a great buying experience and a great car! Now I am going to enjoy the first day of the 20 years with my Outback.
The whole process of buying a new car was very straightforward. I asked for an online quote and received it without any other questions. Scheduled a test drive but couldn’t make it on time. We came an hour later the scheduled time and still got to test drive the vehicle. Heather took her time to show us the car’s features and stayed late even after closing. She took her time and answered our questions very professionally.

I love the car that I bought from them!The Service team has been great. The person that helped do the walk through of the features was very helpful.Issues I had:1) I was coached to leave a perfect survey and to say that they sales person didn’t tell me about itI never got a survey afterwards and received calls and texts multiple times after from my sales person saying my survey was missing and he really needed me to take it. He asked me multiple times to check my emails and I had been looking out for it. I understand how surveys effect retail employees so I would have done it just to help them out but it was harassment. Ive changed my number since....2) They come with a list of add ons that brings the price over 10k+ more then what’s posted on it....then waste time trying to convince you why to take all the add ons...they tried charging me for this protective plastic layer that was on the vehicle. Why was it posted with a lower price if it had this? (sap has gotten on my car since and I tried cleaning it right away and it did not come off the plastic part, I’ve researched and tried everything to get it off and nothing has worked. So I have a permanent brown stain on the hood of my new car)3) They took the time to help me set up my STARLINK which I really appreciated but when I got home and was trying to use it..it wasn’t working. I called STARLINK and my account was set up with some other random vin for a different car that I didn’t even look at or have anything to do with..this was concerning. I had to close the account and open a new one and deal with waiting for a refund of money and being recharged.

Bought a certified pre owned forester. 2.5 weeks later it’s check engine light comes on. Now I’ll be out the cost for that repair. Not sure how this problem was not found when it’s being “certified”. The vehicle was also advertised to have the eyesight technology. Purchased the windshield protection plan thinking if I needed it to be repaired and recalibrated it wouldn’t be an issue. The vehicle didn’t have the technology. Came in the next day to cancel. Less than 24 hours and finance tells me nothing they can do. So I’m out 1600$. Don’t recommend purchasing at this dealership.
We recently purchased a vehicle from Isaiah at Eastside Subaru, and could not be happier with our experience (and car!). Isaiah reached out to us a few minutes after we submitted a pricing inquiry, and shared a sale price that was lower than anything we had been offered at other dealerships. Over the next few days, he patiently answered our questions and even had the specific car (options package, interior/exterior color) shipped to the Eastside location for us to purchase. The actual sale of the car was completely painless, and the opposite of the typical car purchase experience wed had at other dealerships (in the best way).
