My kid really enjoyed this store. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My kid loves military history. I bought him a desert storm Kevlar helmet. He’s ecstatic! And we’ll be back! He really wants the DCU. So we’ll probably get that for him next time 😊

Absolutely amazing military surplus store. Marie is an absolute delight to talk to and buy from. She gave me a lot of info on US late war accuracy, and helped me get the items together that I was looking for. Will be back for more!

Absolutely awesome militaria store! Possibly the best in Washington. Extremely fair prices and a very wide selection. Marie is extremely knowledgeable friendly and helpful through all transactions! I have both ordered online and purchased in store directly with very great experiences. If this store was closer to my location Id probably be in every weekend. If youre a collector or want to get started this place should be your first stop! Will with out a doubt do business with again!

Looking for a great militaria shop? This is a top-notch shop with a lot of really rare and incredible finds. I love the online window-front they run too for those of us who cant always get in to visit in person! These people really know their stuff and it shows. They attend and bring value to a lot of reenactment and trade show events locally and nationally and thats how I discovered them. Ive bought and consigned items here and was extremely happy every time. Service is super friendly and theyre really good at letting their customers know if theyre out of town for an event.I wont go anywhere else when I need to sell my WWII collectibles!

Great store to work with. Saw some WW2 sweetheart jewelry on the website and the purchase was easy to make from the East Coast. Owner responded quickly to my email inquiry, items were well packaged and delivery was quick. Excellent transaction. Would definitely shop here again.

If you want a military antique store where you consistently see a friendly face, view interesting historical items, and even learn something new, you have come to the right place. The owners of The War Front in both Seattle and Portland have broadened my horizons on WWII history. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and provide a well-run service that is really one-of-a-kind. The War Front is absolutely my #1 recommendation to anyone looking for historical militaria.

Fast, friendly, knowledgeable service. Carefully and lovingly curated collection of rare and top notch items. I was thrilled to have purchased a nice WW2 dated mountain tent with poles and aluminum stakes. Marie was an absolute delight to work with -- as buyers, collectors, and enthusiasts we are fortunate to have her on the forefront of seeking out, preserving and stocking these amazing vintage items.

As one of the few true military surplus stores left in the country that offers actual military collectable items from a wide range of ages this store is fantastic! The variety is amazing and while the shop is only opened limited times its worth planning your trips accordingly, following the shop on social media and talking with the manager as she goes above and beyond to make people happy. Its a total must visit when i travel to the area and they are awesome with shipping items from my wish list when I cant visit. If you love military history and collectables this is totally the place for you.

Marie in Kirkland is very knowledgeable about antique militia. I consigned a pair of WWII Japanese Zero props. I knew a bit about them but she did much research and got exact details and did a beautiful job advertising them.

I love doing business at The War Front and have bought more than a few things there. Marie (runs the shop) is a very nice person and knows her stuff. Ive never had a bad experience at the store. Truly, one of (if not the last) the best surplus stores locally in WA. Support local shops👌👍

I have done business with this store as well as the store in Portland. I have seen their tables set up at several events in Washington and Oregon. I don’t know of anyone in this business who is more honest sincere and hard working. Their stores are filled with artifacts of proven bonafides that you will not find anywhere else. When I’m looking for militaria I call The War Front first or go on line.

I live in Texas now, but every time I Travel to Washington I make sure I stop by the store, it is amazing, if you like or want to find that piece of history related to WWI or WWII, you need to stop by.This is a bucket list location for anyone the does Living History or Re-enmacting related to WWI / WWII.The online / Facebook side of the business is outstanding, as I said I live in Texas now, so if I am trying to looking for a hard to find items, this is my first stop online, the price and shipping rates are outstanding, and they are super easy to deal with.Marie’s support of the veteran, living history, andre-enacting community is 2nd to none, she actively participates when she can, so she has the pulse of our community and it reflects in the items she has for sale.I would give them more Stars if I could but 5 is the max rating.

I love this place. Cool gear and friendly staff. Ive bought a bunch of cool stuff here over time and given them a good amount of my money.Unfortunately they currently deserve the 1 star review. Why? Because the past three times in a row Ive attempted to go to this store, they have been closed. They dont take the time to enter special event houres onto their google page. The first two times ive attempted to go, they were closed for an event in Portland. That doesnt help me or any of the other Kirkland customers. We dont live in and dont want to go to Portland. You gotta be here to make money here. The most recent time was today (Friday March 15th). They arent even supposed to be closed today. But they are. No signs, no website posts, nothing. Just closed. Not only that, but I cant come back tomorrow because they have ANOTHER post saying they will be closed this weekend for an event in Portland. Maybe they should just move to Portland. The shops hours and open days here are a bit of a farce. Its a pain to drive here and not be able to shop three times in a row. These were pretty spaced out times too. This situation really makes me never want to try to shop here ever again. Not because I hate the place, or the staff or even the prices. But because they are probably going to be closed when I try to go again. And Im pretty done trying. Its just too difficult to shop here. And shopping shouldnt be difficult.I dont know, it makes it difficult to give a good rating. Until this situation gets fixed, this will remain a 1 star review. But will totally update once this gets rectified!

Marie and staff do an excellent job keeping history alive!! There are very few brick and mortar places for people to find their history items, so The War Front takes the cake!! Excellent items at affordable prices for us history geeks!!

I called I asked for assessment on a military sword, I talked to a woman who asked me to send pictures so I did she gave me the value then all the sudden I get a nasty email from the owner Lawrence. That I was conning their business out of their appraisal fee. This woman that I talk to Maria never even told me there was a fee that I would have gladly paid for very rude. Sad part is I would gladly like to do business on the rest of the items that I have.
