Great customer service, good Intel on new releases, and game info

The manager is overly aggressive and pushy about trying to make a sell. I don’t know if this is the business model of Gamestop or him as a person. You can definitely tell it’s a fake friendly instead of genuinely wanting to help a customer. This was my second time going in with him there and I won’t be going back and my girlfriend felt the same way. The old manager Shelly was awesome and it’s a bummer she left.....

Because of covid-19, they had to adjust their services and meet customers at the door which actually was not that bad. I was able to find the items I wanted but had to search for a while because some locations didnt deliver or you couldnt pick up or they didnt honor the same deals which was understandable. So when all this is over please dont take away the personal touch

Theres was a old guy working there and i was buying a game and at the time i did not have internet and he told me game that did have a offline mode did not and i had did my research so i still bought the game after i bought it he literally pesterd me for money he asked would i like warranty would i like to donate to help with change shortage but when i told him no he literally beged for me to donate told him the second time he begged again and when i told him no and when i clearly did not have the money he asked me to upged my gamestop card when i told him no he beged again for me to do it i told him no about 10 times in that whole conversation and i walked out with the game never going back.

Great staff and very helpful. My son got a brand new Nintendo DS game that was defective and they went out of the way to help make it right.

Great selection of games for all gaming platforms. Staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

The customer service representatives take up a tremendous amount of time with certain buyers but then when they get to you their attitudes change to snobby and rude and they act as if they prefer not to serve you. I was treated this way once and noticed a CSR be rude to another customer on another occasion. I will travel a little further in the future to the Goldsboro location. I gave the Kinston N.C. location (2) ⭐s because they had the game my child wanted. I will NOT shop here again.

This particular Gamestop, I like. More bc of the people who work there. They are gamers. The employees are knowledgeable about games both upcoming and to be released. Staff is friendly and always willing to talk, joke, and laugh. Making it a good environment.

This place is terrible if I could I would give it negative5 stars. The girl that works has a a serious attitude problem. If I ask you a question I don’t need a smart response.And the games are way over priced. They literally try to shove stuff down your throat to buy. Let me decide what I want. Never again

Theres this guy named Mark, every time I go in there he goes out of his way to make sure that Im completely satisfied with my visit. The store itself has plenty of merchandise, new and used, that is guaranteed to have something youve either wanted or needed. They have a plethora of non-gaming items, including bobbleheads, wallets, t-shirts, etcetera. As far as most of the GameStops in Eastern North Carolina go, this has got to be one of the best ones.

Cant even get into the store without being ambushed about what you are buying. Constantly followed even with my child. No refunds for Digital buys. Make sure to get the Playstation card or Microsoft card. They will refund and fix any misleading purchases or faulty purchase. Gamestop will do none. If your new game is missing the plastic you will get the used price in resale.

All in all nice store employees seem to be educated on video games of all types of systems

Terrible way of treating customers. Went to buy a new game and three associates ambushed me trying to persuade me to get the same game used, almost pushing it down my throat. Left disappointed. The store manager was the most rude of them all. Too bad this is the only GameStop in Kinston.

The absolute worst location Ive been to. 3 trips in, 3 cases carried up for purchase, 3 times they dont actually have the game. Couple that with excruciating wait time while they try to upsell everything to the folks in front of you makes for a really bad experience.
