Big bald guy was very rude and aggressive. He didn’t care about his job at all. It was obvious before we even sat down. Will never come to this place again. Ever. Disgusting Attitude. Everyone seemed friendly except this guy. I had a down payment and a reliable co signer. Would definitely dissuade anyone from coming here.

Phenomenal service experience!! I came in and asked for an oil change and they went out of their way to accommodate me. They not only changed my oil but went out of their way to rotate my tires as well. They were able to get it completed quickly and professionally. Would highly recommend!!
My mother went to the Doug Henry in kinston to look to trade in her vehicle for a used vehicle. The lady was very helpful and even found the car my mom was in need of, but unfortunately the manager on duty said because my mom has a mortgage she could get a higher priced vehicle. My mom said no she didnt want a new car, she wanted a used car so he denied her the 0 down and told her she couldnt be helped. The lady that was helping my mom had absolutely no idea why he turned us away, she said we shouldve been able to get a new used car no problem.... he then turned my mom away and said she wasnt welcome back unless she had money to spend. Im absolutely outraged by this.....and the fact that u told ur employee she better start selling higher priced vehicles or her job is on the line... crazy....She listened to what her customer needs, not what a manager wants sold!!!

I would like to show my disapproval of the Doug Henry Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Kunston, NC. I purchased a used 2016 Buick from them which seem to be a good deal, it had a very fair price & was in reasonably good shape, but after having the vehicle for only about a week I went to start it & nothing, no turn over, nothing. I jump started it & found a little corrosion on a battery terminal & thought that was it. Little did I know it did it three more times. I tried calling the dealer three times & no reply. Im sure this dealer knew the car had some kind of electrical problem & didnt wish to fix it, thats why it was so reasonably priced, but just past it off to a customer. So now I have the car to my mechanic & until this intermit electrical problem acts up Im without my car. Please do not trust this dealer without totally having a vehicle checked out ahead of time.
Went went to Doug Henry to buy a 2018 Dodge Caravan that we found posted online. It was the right color, model and had low mileage and price range that we were looking for. We drove over an hour from Sneads Ferry to this dealership. When we saw the vehicle in person it was covered in bird droppings and had a few more scratches and dings than what was advertised on the website (it had also been on lot for 155 days). We figured no big deal. The bird droppings will wash off and hopefully they would come down on the scratches on the front and rear bumper, the small rip in the leather seat and some of the interior flaws. Yes, it was a used vehicle anyway and was going to be used for our newborn who would eventually mess it up anyway. The sales woman Rickell, who was very friendly, asked where we were coming from today. We mentioned Sneads Ferry and she asked if we were military. We said yes and she told us that we would get a military discount of $500 which we were excited about. We didnt even know that was something that was offered at this dealership. She then worked up some numbers and went to talk General Sales Manager. She came back very quickly with no change to the sticker price fo $16,087 and informed us that they couldnt give us a military discount because the GSM said they (the dealership) wouldnt make any money off the car. They offered the sticker price of $16,087 with tax and tags it finally came out to $17,345. At that point I was ready to walk out on principle alone because they offered something to us then retracted. My girlfriend talked me out of leaving so I decided to talk to the GSM myself. When I went to his office he seemed irritated that I was there and told me that he couldnt give anything off the vehicle sticker price or the discount because again, they wouldnt make any money. I said I would have appreciated it if he had come and told me that himself instead of playing the back and forth game with the sales women. He said he deals with a lot of customers and that is why he didnt come and tell me himself. Mind you, we were the only customers at the dealership. I was ready to walk for the second time but my girlfriend really wanted the van as we needed it to accommodate our newborn baby and the fact that we drove over an hour to the dealership. We went through the whole finance talk with the sales women and the finance guy and we decided to pay cash for the vehicle in the end. Not to mention the unsettled vibe we received from the staff when we said we wanted to go through our own bank Navy Federal. Four hours later, we came to a deal I was going to buy the car at sticker price for cash and only person who held this deal together was my girlfriend, I would have walked if it was just me. They sent the vehicle to get detailed and when it came back 15 minutes later it appeared as if all they did was wash off the bird droppings and maybe vacuum it out a bit. I was going to say something to the GSM about it but then realized he left for the evening at 5pm. We just bought a vehicle at $17,345 cash from Doug Henry and the GSM did not have the integrity to shake my hand or congratulate us before he went home. At that point we just wanted to leave and take our newborn home. I would clean it and detail it myself later. I just want to note aside from the dealerships leadership (GSM) the sales women Rickell and the finance guy (I cant remember his name) were very friendly and professional. If it wasnt for them, we definitely wouldnt have bought the vehicle. The finance guy seemed to know something was up and he probably sensed my frustration as well as the muddy process we just endured. He stayed and talked to us about his family and kids until the car came back from the detailing, followed us out the door and congratulated us both. One star for integrity and leadership of this dealership. Sometimes that is all a man or a business has.(Attached are photos of the damage already on the used vehicle.)
Purchased my dream car... 2020 Black Escalade over Valentines weekend. Antwan went over and beyond even before I arrived to see the vehicle. Had it all dry and in the garage since it was pouring outside. Once the deal started coming together, both he and Don worked very hard to offer a fair and great price. Highly recommend Doug Henry in Kinston. We will be going back in the future.

A few months ago i before i purchased a 2007 Toyota camry from Doug Henry Dealership. I noticed the AC was not getting cold. I wanted the ac fixed.The salesman said to come back and it would be fixed. After about 3 weeks ac was cold again. One shop could not find the leak after i paid for the recharge and dye. Had the problem been fixed and not temporarily remedied i would be a satisfied customer.

Wal-Mar gift card, as implied by mailing, we walked out with a whole $2.00 bill!! Friendly, helpful, and more than accommodating! I had a recall solution and turned my truck in for repair and they have me a 2019 Dodge Ram to drive while they fixed my truck! I brought my truck in for a scan to see what was wrong with it another time and they did a full scan for free and went over the issues before they even did any work! They really took care of me here! If I have any work done to my truck I want it done by a Dodge dealer and I dont get in as much as I would like to but Doug Henry is the place to take your Dodge vehicle if you want gauranteed service by a team who knows what they are doing!

I never understood why the standards of honesty and behavior we expect from the rest of the professional world do not apply to car dealerships. And I have never understood why car dealerships and salesman keep confirming these low expectations. They attempt to deceive you in any way possible, and then claim honesty when its all in the fine print or no laws were violated, taking offense when you call them on their deception. Id rather shop somewhere where the moral standard is higher than the legal one.
Our sales person (Stephanie Sutton) was beyond exceptional through the entire process, and with all of the detailed information that she provided us - made our decision that much easier. Even after making our purchase, she has gone out of her way to make sure that we are pleased with our purchase and to answer any additional questions we may have had.
I actually enjoyed my experience at Doug Henry of Kinston. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jeremy the sales manager. He kept me company because my car dealer went to fill the vehicle gas tank. Talking to Jeremy was like talking to an old friend like we were catching up. Then Stephanie came in. She was awesome she was very professional and made my car buying experience great. I have bought multiple cars in my lifetime and Stephanie by far was the BEST dealer I have ever had. The transaction was very smooth and hassle free. Then there was Brad he was all about getting me the best deal and ensured that I understood everything I was signing. Brad was a very cool dude only way I can describe him. Once the car was purchased Stephanie took more time helping me move things from the old car and into the new one. Then she sat with me for about 20 mins making sure I understood all the bells and whistles. If I ever buy a car again I know where to go.
Had a service completed on Feb. 1, 2019 on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I can say that the service was great. The staff was very courteous and professional and the dealership was very nice and clean. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to have a service done on your vehicle.

Ill keep this short but please refer to Nicholas Galantes comment. Very unpleasant experience here. However, the finance gentleman and Rickell were superb.This dealership claims to be pro-military but their discount doesnt apply unless they are making something off of the vehicle. They offered the discount and then retracted it. They sold us a vehicle that had been on lot for 155+ days and they had only lowered price online to get rid of it and refused to budge on price (despite the exterior damage to bumper inflicted under dealership ownership).Very disappointing.
I had my car serviced here a few days ago, and they did an amazing job! Jeremy put two new shocks and two new tires on my car, and it drives like new! The service department takes great pride in their work, and I couldnt be happier with the work Jeremy did in my car. Im recommending the Doug Henry CDJR service department to all my friends and family!
Im not one who thrives on being negative but I felt it was important to share my experience/dealing with Doug Henry of Kinston, NC service department. Returning home from Greenville, NC to Jacksonville, NC my car began to overheat. I left it at Doug Henry for it to be serviced. Returning two days later with a new thermostat and flushing the radiator ($481) yeah thats right. Returning to Jacksonville, NC I traveled not even 10 miles when my car began to overheat again. The problem was not fixed. I turned the heater on and was able to keep the engine from getting hot. I called Doug Henry service department to explain the problem wasnt fixed. They wouldnt not refund or even credit any of the $481 I paid for a thermostat! T me thats pretty bad business. For most like me, thats a lot of money not to fix a problem.

Although I am happy with the truck, The dealership grosly over finance charged my on INTEREST RATE. (I have a 810 credit score and they charged 5.6% rate) Plus the sold me a GAP plan for $895 (Super High)I decided to refinance with my Credit Union at 3.59%. The Credit Union GAP cost $399 (Just about $500 Less)When I call the GAP insurance company to cancel on Feb 15th, I discovered the dealership had NOT sent in the paperwork on the GAP.I called the dealership on the 15th also and asked about the GAP and paperwork. The told me it was not yet processed, and agreed to cancel GAP plan and send me a check.As of Feb 29, 2020 they have still not yet written me a check. I keep getting a run-arround. Making me promises to send the check and call me back. Excuses like it was too late to mail or the lady was not there nowI have other negative things to say about this dealer like they only put in 1/2 tank of gas, even though I drove 80 miles to buy, but for now I want my refund!FIND A BETTER CAR DEALER THEN THIS ONE!!!!!One the follows thru what they promise
My husband came here to try and trade his car in to get my name off of his car and finance some thing himself. I wasnt even in the same state at the time. The salesman asked him for my social, my husband gave it to them thinking they needed to look up the info for his current vehicle loan. He asked them if they were running my credit they told him no multiple times. Turns out they did run my credit and a hard inquiry went on my credit. They did not have my permission what so ever to run my credit nor did they need to. The salesman kept saying it was a soft pull and nothing would go on my credit report. He lied. Today I called to see why my credit was pulled without my permission. They said they cant pull credit without permission and my husband probably brought in another woman to pass as me to pull credit. (Mind you I was on the phone with him the whole time seeing what kind of financing they were offering him) they automatically blamed my husband and told me to contact a lawyer about my husband trying to possibly commit fraud. Do they not check identification and get permission from the actual person? I guess they will run credit on anyone! Then the salesman Called my husband and kept trying to get him to admit him giving permission to run my credit. Regardless, one person should not be able to consent to run another persons credit. The sales manger I spoke to today did not apologize for any inconvenience at all or apologize for his salesman doing what he shouldnt have. He just told me I wasnt there so my husband could have brought in another person to give permission. Horrible way to solve a dispute a customer has. Horrible customer serviceOn another note, my husband would have been very upside down on his trade in and couldnt get into anything new. This same salesman told him the best thing he could do was try and total his vehicle. He even told him he knew some people that could make his vehicle disappear so he could eventually get a new one. Talk about fraudulent right? This is not a place we will ever be doing business and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Be careful with your personal information at this place!

So my wife got their ad in the mail, clearly says no purchase necessary to win prize, she won 2000 dollars and went their to go claim it, the salesman told her something else and then gave her a 2 dollar bill. Wasted gas going to them to claim a prize that she won. So it was falsely advertised and then she left feeling insulted with getting a 2 dollar bill! What a joke

Did not like the work. I told them what was what when I took the car there they told me know how to program a key for a computer after I told them where I got the computer from they still said they can program it turn around call me later and said they couldnt program it after they said they could say the VIN number was different wish I knew that and they should had knew that when I told them what I did and they say they got it. And didnt get it dancing around still charge me. its all about that 💰.
We were sent to this location by the Greenville North Carolina location in order to look at minivans. Upon our arrival, the salesman indicated that there were five of the model that we were interested in looking at available. He brought out one for us to test drive. When we inquired about the others we were told that one was in the shop and that the others were at different locations. Every time we asked a question, we received a lot of double talk and nothing was ever completely answered. When we tried to ask about financing he began speaking to us as if we were in second grade and never answered those questions either. At this point, we just got up and walked out and we will locate a vehicle at another dealership.
They put insurance on the vehicle before I even talked with financing, then financing didnt really go over interest rate, had to ask! Spoke of a concern with the vehicle and was explain there was nothing wrong with it. Gonna get another opinion. They say the cars are inspected throughly, well I had to spend $80.00 to get it aligned as soon as I made the purchase and spoke of this to someone at the dealership and she just smiled not concerned at all. And lets mention Joe in finance...not very personal and kind of rude! I would not purchase there again! Manager ok but listed vehicle on Internet as one price and sold for a higher price and he said sorry, we are having issues with the site.

Im Filing a complaint with bbb. I brought in my 2008 chyrsler Aspen to be repair because it stalled out on me. The repair was almost 1200 for solenoids an oil pressure switch. I was hesitant bc this is alot of money. But due to this being my only vehicle and having kids I got it done. A week later ...I had the same problem. Car just stops while Im driving it. I immediately called Doug henry an was told they would contact me back to look at it for free to see what was going on since that didnt fix it. I called every day last week to see if I could bring the car in. An repeatedly was told that they were waiting to hear back from someone and they would call me tomorrow. On Thursday I had to take my car elsewhere. Finally get the manager on the phone and he wants me to snatch the car from where it is and bring it back to them after a week of being ignored. Then Im told that someone scheduled me an aptment for Tuesday without even contacting me. The other dealership was honest an said that It seemed to be a known prob with this car and many ppl never got the fix for it. Plus how do you keep letting someone work on The car knowing that if once again it isnt fixed you wont know until the car shuts off and this time it could be in traffic with my kids in the car. Im a single mom an I paid you to replace parts that had nothing to do with the problem. According to the serv manager they do have a warranty if they ever happen to go bad. But who cares?? It was not the problem In the beginning. I threw away almost 1200 a the car did not even last a week. Ive contacted my bank and told them I will dispute the charge if this isnt fixed. An I have a statement from the other dealership to back this. I paid the money no problem just to be ignored when it still was not fixed.

Traded in a Vehicle towards my new Jeep. Only to have creditors calling me about late payments on a vehicle I no longer have. Was told the dealership has a 20 day grace period to pay it off. Its gone beyond those 20 days and Im late on a payment for the first time in my life (Im 35). Credit will take a hit soon due to the crew at Doug Henry being inept. Had no intention on writing a review about the initial puchase. Where they tried to over charge me and hit me with extra fees, also made me pay the sales tax that was supposedly included in the price of the Jeep. After this experience here I am. Joe the financial manager was borderline rude and was in such a hurry to get off the phone anytime I asked what the status was Sales reps are very nice, as is most of the staff but buyers beware. Stay on your toes.
We were looking for a newer vehicle for my wife. We checked the Web site, saw a several vehicles we were interested in, called the local location, asked about the vehicles, was told that they had 2 of them, we went there but they had none. We asked which other location had any, was told Kinston had 4, so we drove to Kinston, who only had 1. The salesman in Kinston was difficult to talk with, very noncommittal, could get a straight answer to any question we asked. Got the distinct impression that this was the Bait and Switch sales tactic. We left and will never return to this dealer or any of its locations. But, on a positive note, we did buy a vehicle that day from Medlin Chevrolet in Ayden. THANKS DOUG HENRY.
Recently purchased a car from here hasnt even been 90 days and there was an issue with it. I kindly called to try and have the issue resolved. Walked into Doug Henry as requested by the general manager there named Ross. Oh how nasty his character is. Customer service is free advertising for your business. This manager proceeded with his condescending attitude to tell me I should have came with $20000 more to purchase a new vehicle as,well as blocking door entrance as I was trying to leave, while telling me I wasnt a responsible adult. Now being that this man dont know me, besides what he has on paperwork he felt the need to use his position of authority to intimidate me and tell me how he bet i take better care of my dog. I refuse to pay to be treated as a unappreciated customer. The salesman who sold me the car from this lot has been unreachable of course. To the owner I say you allow these type of people to manage your businesses then that speaks volume of your character as well. I will never do business with Doug Henry ever again nor will I refer anyone else to.

Ripped me off on taxes. Taxes were supposed to have been included in the price OUT THE DOOR. To my surprise the taxes were not even close to paid. $2300 later they sent a $491 check. This is what they do to women with deployed husbands. Dont go here!

I been in deffrant dealerships before but I was in the area so I was like let me go to this dealership hoping they could understand me and understand my situation I told them everything I want to do and what I want to get but after hour and half of talking and waiting a seem to me the deal wasn’t going through so I try to let go before they run my credit and they Keep telling me just a second just a second and they keep pushing me to wait till they round my credit I don’t recommend this dealership at all .

Recently purchased 3rd vehicle from doug henry franchise.Everytime i have ever done business here i am satisfied and taken care of.1. Always given very fair price for trade in2. Vehicles are competitively priced with other dealerships in eastern nc3. Staff is helpful. When i say this i do realize that they are selling something, but they consistently have gone above and beyond for me. EXAMPLE: last vehicle purchased was done at night after detail department had gone home for day, rep was able to schedule time (time that was convenient for me) to come back and have vehicle cleaned.4. I always deal with 2 people (ross-manager, roman-sales rep) both are not only helpful and nice but patient, hardworking, and considerate of my needs, even when it may inconvenience them.I would recomend anyone to buy anything from here and without a doubt you will be satisfied.
