Excellent service, the treatment and attentiveness I received at this place was exceptional. This place could set the standard in customer relations. Store gives off an at home vibe with all the outdoor items you can imagine. If you can think of it, they have it. I just wish I had more time to fully explore the place.

We stopped here on the way to the beach to go camping and it was great that they had extra large parking spaces to fit our camper! This store had a little bit of everything! Nice clothing and decor items and lots of fishing and hunting gear! We found life vests here that were cheaper than Walmart, so I was very happy with that!

Love this store. We stop there on our way to the beach every time we go. I recommend spending time looking around. Never know what deal is around the corner. Sometime fresh fruits & veges are sold outside.

My first visit, I was shocked as soon as I entered, Neuse was so much to see, I spent well over an hour trying to decide just how much Id spend. Im sure upon my return to Neuce Sports Shop, Ill have to have more money.

We have been stopping on for years on the way to the beach. This is a super nice, well stocked store with just about everything you would need for a beach trip. Lots of fishing gear available. All top quality merchandise. Plus clean restrooms..

In the 7 years I have lived in NC I have visited Neuse Sport Shop several times. As a member of the management team for another noncompeting retail establishment we sought inspiration in many places and were always impressed with the layout, creativity, and friendliness of the staff. Today however was an entirely different situation. I was seeking help with a new bow I was given as a gift, and I think I was assisted at first with the manager of that department. In the 20 years of experience working in retail as an employee and then as a manager I guarantee you I would never have been permitted nor allowed my employees to treat a customer that disrespectfully. Admittedly I know very little about archery or bow hunting, but I expected more than to be quoted a price with very little explanation of what I was paying for or why it was needed. After being quoted the price the man simply said let me know whey you are ready and walked away. A few minutes later the assistant walked over and began actually helping me. He attempted to explain as much as he could to the best of his ability. After a few minutes the other man came back and asked if we were ready to go. When I told him we were still trying find out exactly what I needed he replied I told you what you need to spend just decided if you want to spend it. He then proceeded to walk away again. I was very upset at this point and began looking at some products to calm down and he then turned to me and began listing other expenses I would need. After which point he told me that if I just spend another $100 beyond what he just quoted he could set me up with a completely new bow that is all set and ready to hunt. Followed by But hey Im not here to take all your money and sell you things, but youd be better off. Just let me know what you want to do. When he finally walked away from the area completely. I was furious at this point and couldnt even speak. It took me some time to calm down before I told the assistant your business had lost my money because of the other mans actions. Unfortunately, I used some language I regret and would like to apologize to the young man who honestly tried to help as much as he could. I then checked with the gentleman in the gun section if the store had some ammunition I needed, and left the store. Someone needs to remind the man in charge of the archery area what the definition of customer service is, but I am afraid he may be to arrogant and dismissive to understand.

Always stop there when heading to the beach. Always manage to spend money there each time.

Im not from this area but while visiting I found this to be a great place to get any kind of fishing supplies. Plus most any kind of sports equipment.

So I went to Neuse Sport Shop to purchase a firearm. I ask the lady that walked up if they are stillHonoring the blue label program and with a nasty look on her face she ask I’m not sure. I said ok. She then proceeded to give me a strange look and said which agency do you work for? I told her and presented my ID! So she replied like oh no I think y’all are taking off but I’ll check. So she never came back 10 minutes later a guy came and said how can I help you guys? My husband told him what we was purchasing. So he asked we move around the other side of the counter to keep social distance from other customers. So I asked him sir is my agency still on the blue label list he was asked which agency is it again I told Gil he replied “oh no ma’am glock took everybody off this past January they made massive changes and cost us to loose a lot of business and loyal customers. So I said ok thanks I said that bazaar because I looked in Goldsboro and they told me just the other day my agency was still up there but I’ll look more into it. So the next day I contacted Glock and they verified they never took any of the agencies off and I should contact the company and speak to a manager about getting my discount or at least store credit . So I called and ask for a manager and ask who was on the blue label list. After he name everybody I told him what had happened and all he said is they added new rules and it cause a bunch of confusion to the associates he proceeded to tel me he will make a store wide announcement so everybody would know. Didn’t offer me a discount or store credit. I won’t be returning

Has everything! From marine equipment to stuff for animals! They have a wide selection of items, including food & drink. Great pitstop, and extremely fun to look around, even when your not buying anything. They have a fish tank feature in the front area thats really captivating. Love it.

Have loved stopping here for many years on the way to the beach and buying clothes and gifts but will unlikely ever stop here again. Less than half of employees were wearing masks properly and even fewer customers. This is clearly not a priority for management. Not worth the risk and, even when COVID19 is over, the lack of value they place on customer health and public health makes me unlikely to give them my business in future.

During the current ammo shortage the Neuse Sport Shop continues to have many of the most popular calibers in stock and at reasonable prices. They do limit purchases to one box per sku per customer. Thanks for not gouging your customers!

Handgun selection was not as good as usual, as well as ammunition but other than that my overall experience was good.

A little pricey but they had what we needed and customer service was great. They dont enforce mask law on customers and many employees were not wearing masks. So they lost one star. I will be back, hopefully they get serious about protecting customers.

I couldnt decide on a couple of Christmas gifts; I asked one of the gentleman behind the gun counter and his help was AMAZING!! He was so friendly and helpful. People like that are the reason I shop at this store.

The employee at the front door was sitting in a chair sleeping in his hands. We passed 4 employee that never spoke to us, much less asked if they could help us. Seemed to be that their personal conversation were much more important.

Some staff still very friendly and knowledgeable, but my recent experiences have been pretty terrible, with staff in the firearms department that acts like I am an inconvenience and undesired. I would much rather drive further and visit FIRST LIGHT GUNS in La Grange for a much friendlier experience.

I thoroughly had the best experience. Mr. John was our concealed carry instructor. His patience, knowledge, and immediate response was top-notch. Im not sure who pays him, but definitely give him top pay. Hes great!!!

Overall a great selection of what you need to fish; work on customer service. Customers shouldn’t have to clearly be looking for something for several minutes and not even be acknowledged while other shoppers are. There’s plenty of places to find fishing items, and driving 30 minutes one way is too much to have that happen. Otherwise keep up the great work?! 🤷🏽‍♂️

Great selection of clothes, harder to find dog products. Camping is certainly better than Walmart but leaves a little to be desired. Fishing is epic, just epic. EVERYTHING I could ever need for fishing. Boating has hard to find stuff like flounder gigging items. Boating/trailer parts though, NAPA has more. Gun shop is normally epic. Thanks to the Rona though, its slim pickins. Accessories everywhere though. Reloading is lacking. Ladies should love this place bc theyre definitely catering to yall. Prices? Well..... it IS a specialty store like no other really so, yeah, little high in there.

Service was poor today.I had reserved some items by phone.That task was done, but when I attempted to pay the new clerk. He botched the transaction before me and awaited a senior cashier to correct. This took several minutes. When the transaction was corrected, another clerk tried to add my merchandise to the customer ahead of me. Multiple clerks were at both ends of the counter, one was fascinated by another customers canine.What I anticipated as an in and out transaction, turned out to be an in and wait.

Amazing sporting goods store

This is a very nice sporting goods store they had everything I needed to get ready for an offshore trip. My wife likes the store because she can look at their house wares and beach themed dishes and clothes. The staff was very nice and thoughtful we really enjoy shopping here.

My fiance and I were ignored today (6-27-2020) by one of the gun counter associates today while patiently standing and waiting to be served to purchase a firearm that we drove from Greenville, NC to get. The associate finished with the customer he was with ahead of us, looked directly at us and then proceeded to walk away to the far end of the counter without saying a word. His movement to the other end of the counter was not to help someone else but to stand around. He eventually talked to another customer who had arrived after us, even though we both saw the associate look at us multiple times before this other customer even showed up. Now if you are going to have employees that are to provide customer service it would be nice if they could provide proper customer service to everyone, not just to the ones they want to. We ended up getting help from a younger male associate who was nice enough to do his job in acknowledging customers once he was finished with others. Though the younger associate was nice, we decided to take our business elsewhere and spend money at a gun shop where we were not ignored!

Been buying here for years just to support local people. But its all overpriced and after being told I have to wear a mask or not allowed in...even after trying to explain having medical reasons for not wearing one...i left and will never come back. If you’re in the military, take your business elsewhere. Absolutely terrible service here today trying to purchase a Glock 43X. Drove for an hour and a half to come here and purchase a pistol that they had in stock. Valid NC concealed carry permit, active duty US Marine for the past 17 years, stationed in NC for the past 10 years, valid active duty ID, NC homeowner, and they would not sell me a pistol because I did not have my original orders stating I am stationed in NC. I spoke with the Vice President of the store and he couldn’t even tell me what form he needed. It is a STORE POLICY discriminating against military members stationed in NC, not a state or federal requirement. If you meet all the NC requirements to purchase a pistol but you don’t have a NC drivers license, they wont sell to you unless you produce a set of orders that even the VP can’t tell me the form he wants. DO NOT shop here, take your business somewhere else.

The personnel here are helpful, courteous, and accommodatingThey are patient however not ALL of them are as knowledgeable on every weapon they sell.I have been twice and have not been disappointed in their professionalism and consistency with EVERY customer. The prices are worth it as they dont sell junk brands.

Good for the country-living people in your life. This place has guns and ammunition as well as a shooting range if youre interested in practicing your shot. The staff is well trained and very well mannered, as well as very helpful when looking for specific items.
