I dont feel good about changing the rating of my previous service experience from five stars to one. However, let it be a warning for others. Unfortunately I see a pattern of performing unauthorized work to Jack up the price.During my previous visit five months ago I wanted my snow tires to be replaced with the tires that I used for less than a year. Upon leaving I asked about my snow tires and I was told that they were moved from front to back. Who needs snow tires in summer? They also got rid of my old tires that I wanted to use. Okay, I said the service made a mistake and I bought new set of tires.A few days ago I went for a state inspection only. After waiting for over 3 hours Mark told me that everything is fine only rear brake pads are getting thinner but are still in working condition.I asked Mark to check the latch on the hood and wash my car. An hour later I found out that the breaks were replaced and the latch wasnt cleaned and lubricated as promised and the car wasnt washed either.If they require written authorization for a $21 inspection why no formal authorization for a much bigger job?

My step daughter just recently purchased a new CR -V Hybrid, she was hesitant because she had a Fit for 10yrs and she was so used to a small practical car...but she was in a rather desperate situation since her car was flooded out in Newark after a retuning from vacation. What an ordeal 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ But it was time for a new dependable vehicle Im so happy she chose a Honda. Though it has every bell and wishtle, I Know this car will keep her safe, comfortable,warm in winter and get her to travel long distances with ease!!! Staff excellent and knowledgeable and I believe they steered her in an excellent decision!!!! I must give them a big thumbs up on taking very good care of her!! 👍👍

As someone who has worked in and around cars most of my life I take my car to a dealership often for regular Maintenance because the people see these types of cars often and generally know what to look for. Recently I came in for an oil change and tire pressure issue the service dept recommended tires. A multipoint was never spoken about but I assumed was done on the vehicle because they told me it was. It’s a couple thousand miles later and my brakes are grinding. If I had been told then we could have replaced the pads now I need rotors and pads along with more labor. I called and spoke to an advisor was told I would be responded to by a manager 2 days goes by nothing. I go on Fb messenger to Lia and told I’ll be contacted by a manager and nothing. This is very disappointing .

Ive done business with these people since 2012 and have leased or purchased 5 cars. My experience with the last lease, a 2018 Civic, was a horror. The car was ok. But they called me to turn the car in early. That turned into a fiasco and we never made the deal. I read an e-mail from their service today that said +Honda Monitors your driving. I was surprised to hear that. I looked for customer service # it was a fiasco finding that. I finally got a general inquiries # that got me to an actual person at that #. She was pleasant, Asked me a bunch of irrelevant questions about my question, put me on hold for 15mins. She did come back, but couldnt really answer my question and was advised to call my dealer Cut to the chase. A sales person, Shane, told me Honda doesnt monitor your driving. They monitor times between service. Silly me. I thought Honda could tell me where I went last week. In my opinion they need to word that better. Take it for what its worth.

The experience I’ve had at the service department at Lia Honda of Kingston has been fantastic. When i started having problems with my 2008 Honda accord after i bought it from another dealer, i decided it was my best bet to go to a Honda dealer. Jared Stoutenburg explained and showed me the problems happening in my vehicle which overall made me understand how my car works a lot more. He has helped me throughout every single repair I’ve dealt with and i couldn’t be more thankful. I trust Lia with my car and the fact that they will listen to any of my concerns about the vehicle and look into them is really spectacular and not something that is common at other repair shops. I felt hopeless when my car started showing issues but in present day my car runs like a new car and it’s all thanks to Jared and everyone who has assisted me at Lia Honda of Kingston.

Starting from stepping out of the service dept door to guide me into the the building because I did not know that I was supposed to just pull up to the doors that would rise to allow me to drive in. Sold us a car, took our money and have failed repeatedly to provide registration. Nicole responds obnoxiously and indifferently to our (quite unnecessarily) patient requests to have this addressed. We have a car sitting in our driveway we cannot legally drive. Thoroughly discourage anyone from purchasing from this dealer location. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.UPDATE: Response below but weve had no outreach or response, despite reaching out yet again. Would reiterate that this dealership has no interest in helping do the responsible thing once they have $s in hand. Disappointing.

I recently purchased a CRV from Lia Honda with help from Darian Mccargo. I was cautiously optimistic about purchasing a new car because I didnt really need one, but if I could make payments that were lower than what I was currently paying, I was willing to trade my car. Darian wasnt pushy at all. He asked what I was looking for and I said I like the CRV but the numbers need to work. We sat and worked out several monthly figures and I chose the best one for myself. At the end of it all, which was seamless, I drove away with a new CRV. Thanks, Darian!

The folks at Lia Honda were friendly, and were able to give me a same day appointment for my first service. I purchased the vehicle exactly 1 year ago from them. Robert Munson noticed this detail and asked me if everything was going well with the vehicle, and if I had any issues or questions. He was able to reboot my radio unit, to correct an issue with the map display, so far so good. Robert was also able to apply an electronic coupon, which saved me $10 on the service.They did an Oil and Filter change, Tire rotation, and NY State Inspection. Additionally, they noted my account for a recall that was not applicable, so I wouldnt continue to get notices.Total time at the dealership from pulling in till after my car was washed was 1hr 5 mins.I was overall pleased with the service, price, and personal attention that Robert and the others provided.Definitely a much better experience than I had with attempts to deal with Honda when they were located across the street.

I took my Certified CRV to Lia Honda of Kingston for the first time a few months ago for a battery change and then recently for routine maintenance. Both times I had the good fortune of working with Rob Munson. He is not only polite, courteous and professional, but he is also extremely knowledgeable about all things auto. He clearly explained the maintenance results and easily answered all my questions. Many times in dealerships there is an element of sexism that creeps into the process, but theres no hint of that here. Im so glad I chose this dealership for servicing because although its a bit of a drive for me, I have a high comfort level with Rob and the team for their efficiency, integrity and genuine care for the customer.

After a few days, he came to my rescue with a small problem I had and took care of everything timely and completely. Many salespeople wash their hands of you once you buy a new car and really don’t want to hear from you once you have signed everything, but I have, and would not hesitate to call Shane again with any questions. I will gladly recommend him to anyone buying a car. I cannot say enough positive things about him. When he says “feel free to call me” he means it.

I recently had a service provided in my 2019 HRV. The service was for the first oil change in my vehicle. I was told when I made the app. That I also needed a tire rotation. This inevitably was not needed. I spoke with 3 different Lia Honda Reps, and will receive my next oil change at no charge. My initial car buying experience with Lia Honda was very pleasant. This recent issue is just a glitch in the road.

Great staff. Bought new battery, took old one out myself in parking lot, employee offered me some paper towels and ran over to hold door when I came in with the old battery. Custodian offered me his cart to carry the battery thru the store.
