I have been shopping at this Ace since it opened approximately 5 years ago. I receive coupons from them for being a frequent shopper. Today I went there with coupon in hand to buy some christmas gifts. I had a nice middle aged man that checked my items out. I left the store and realized they forgot to scan my coupon. I approached the middle aged man again and told him what happened. I was not angry he was not angry just an honest mistake he was going to make right. Then suddenly a heavy set woman with large nose ring and heavily pierced eyebrows snatches the receipt from him. She had no vest on or badge I was wondering who she was? She very abruptly said I have to look at this so the cash drawers are not short this evening, I was told I cant randomly give you cash back. I told her what she owned me and it was just a simple manner. She told me I needed to be quiet while she figured this out. I then responded no need for attitude I did not have an attitude with her. She again told me to be quiet. I engaged her ignorance one last time. After 20 minutes of standing at the register I said, its just simple can I please just have what I am owed and leave. Her response you are getting $5.83 I had to tax this refund. I said when you already taxed me at a higher amount. She proceeded to have her attitude again. My reply to her was you must be related to someone who owns this store because no one would hire you to manage anything with your attitude . What would she do with a really difficult customer beat them up? My parting words to her, the owner may want to reconsider the management of this place. No nice store needs a screaming Karen in charge. She is yelling at me as I left the store. I waved my hand and told her to shut up. So much for looking forward to shopping at my favorite hometown hardware store. I feel sorry for the men and women who have to work under her direction. She is the type that believes snatching receipts from peoples hands and being nasty is the best management style. I suppose it makes her feel more powerful. Its ashamed that a once nice store meet a woman like her.

Great shopping experience! I called about a product and the store associate remembered exactly what I was looking for. I am pleased with my purchase. Definitely a good place to shop.

My family was in a vehicular wreck yesterday. Managed to limp car along to ACE to get an emergency cell phone charger. Needed to find a way to get a hotel. Sandra at ACE paid for an UBER to come pick the 6 of us up. If anyone thinks there aren’t great and caring people left in the world, there are!!!

Over priced and messy. Convenient for when you forget something at the big box stores, but youll pay for the convenience. Staff is great though.

First they helped us find the right paint and the Mechanic named Ed helped fix my daughters electric scooter. This is my go to place now! No more Lowe’s unless Ace doesn’t have what we are looking for.

I have visited this store several times. Each time the employees have avoided and ignored me. I have to go out of my way to find help and when I do locate them it is difficult to get them to assist at all. I have been there for a variety of items and it seems that the employees don’t have a clue about hardware or electrical items. Unfortunately I have had to go to another store to purchase the products.

I went into Ace to day to exchange a worn out Craftsman ratchet wrench. I was told to find another one. I was unable to. I shared this with one of the associates. She offered to look up the part for me and maybe they could order a replacement. She then told another associate about my issue. The other person stated immediately that they didnt have it. I asked if they were just out of stock or didnt carry it. I was then given a phone number and told to call Craftsman.No one ever came out to see if maybe I overlooked the tool, nor did they seem interested in helping to resolve my issue. I went to Lowes and they promptly helped me get a replacement. Ace is usually more expensive than their larger competitors but I still shop there to support my neighbors. After today Im not so sure Ill do that going forward.

Great hardware store with excellent customer service and employees right in the heart of Kernersville North Carolina. They have everything you may need to fix up your home or DIY project. great place to get pipe, fittings, paint, caulk, hardware, and any other odds and ends you may need. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking entrances and restrooms.

Not always the lowest prices, but you wont get better service anywhere. Plus if you need a single screw or bolt or washer, this is a great place to get it. Lots of yard maintenance products, hardware of all types. Also refills propane tanks.

Have to give a 1 star for poor customer service. Had a $5 coupon but since my order was online and shipped to the store, Manager would have to do a return and then ring me up again. So, too much work and I have to use my coupon another time. I wasnt ugly and accepted this. But as someone who works in customer service myself, this is just laziness.

Employees were helpful but one guy wore a mouth guard with his nose exposed. Additionally they did not have a sanding I need.

All I needed was a sparkplug for my Stihl chainsaw, and I wanted to go to a Stihl authorized dealer. It took about 45 seconds and the gentleman and the young lady who assisted me and checked me out were very nice. It was just a sparkplug, but I have not one complaint about this place.

I went in to buy a chainsaw, I knew what I wanted and didnt want to change it. The staff helped and didnt try to oversell, or tried to change my mind about it. Great customer service and staff smaller hardware stores are better for the minor things..

People helpful. Showed me were the items I was looking for were located when I first came in the store. Found a couple deals.

My first time ever in an Ace Hardware was yesterday to purchase a tool chest for my husbands birthday. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a young man and asked if I needed anything. Upon purchasing the tool chest he even took it out and helped me get it into my car. Very pleased with my visit.

I have tried to buy from this location whenever possible. My biggest issue is the temporary hours. Its frustrating driving over to find the store only open from 9-5. Once again, I was forced to drive over to Lowes. Working people must not be their clientele.

Purchased a kerosene heater in case of emergency power outage BEFORE snowstorm. I read the online return policy before purchasing, which never stated the product could not be returned and product fell under the category of items that could be returned. The package was unopened when I tried to return it. They pointed out a small sign in the corner or the building stating that storm related purchased could not be returned and that they do not abide by the online return policy. Even though I had asked about the return policy when I purchased the item and was told I could return it within 30 days if it was in the original packaging and I had also received the online return policy, they refused to give me my money back. I will nit purchase anything from any Ace Hardware again. The sign should have been at the register in plain view where it could be seen by consumers. Thats $140 out of a single mother of threes pocket that I will not be able to get back and was not needed, but I always try to prepare for emergencies in case I have to protect my children.

First rate assistance, everything a hardware store should have. And its close to home!
