LITERALLY THE BEST COFFEE IVE HAD!!!! - the options of flavors tree city has year round are amazing! you can mix flavors, get different types of milk alternatives, lattes, cold brews you name it!!! my favorite by far has been mixing cookie butter and toasted marshmallow in an iced latte with oatmilk! it’s about a 10+ minute drive from my house but boy is it worth it!! if you’re thinking about giving tree city a try i highly recommend!

This was a great little college cafe to visit while in Ohio, it’s was fairly quiet which was nice for the morning we went! The outside seating was small but it felt great outside so I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about if it’s nice out.The layout of the store was a little weird they had a photo booth kiosk inside and it was an open one so it would take photos of the whole restaurant! (I think) along with this huge thing I’m the middle that ended up having us wait a bit to long for our food.3 of us went. I ordered just a nice bacon egg and cheese bagel which was amazing. Best bagel I think I’ve ever had. My partner got a jelly bagel and I can’t remember what her sister got. Now onto the only real problem we had. While ordering I was never asked for my name so I figured they would bring us our food when it was done. Well I kept hearing what I thought was my name being called but I was never sure when I would look around. No one would make eye contact with me or wave me over. I think I heard my name called four or five times. It wasn’t until I was getting angry that I stood up and went to check that I saw our food about to be thrown out. Other than that this place was great!!!

I love the coffee here but I don’t like how they close at 5pm I think they close to early! But I still live the coffee and especially the breakfast sandwiches! I got there French toast breakfast sandwich and I like the chocolate banana frappe yum!

How could you jot love this place. It’s so aesthetically pleasing on the inside I l or studying here. When they lift up the garage door I feel like I’m in a little cafe in Italy or Soho. The coffee has never been bad, not ONCE. Yes it’s expansive but all coffee shops are. There are only 2 restrooms and they’re clean. The staff is nice and pretty. The drive through it built on a hill so drive slow and carefully if you have an old car but I’ve never waited more than 2 minutes for my coffee and food. They are heavy handed with the bagels so you’re getting your money’s worth. It does get crowded when the weather is nice so you may have to sit a little closer with strangers but that’s okay!

I go here a lot and usually enjoy my experience. However, the past few times I’ve been there the staff treated me very rudely. I took a couple of my friends here a few days ago. I ordered a large Carmel ice coffee and stood waiting for my drink for 15 mins. Although, My friends had already received their drinks. I was very patient, and kindly asked them if maybe my drink was forgotten. Two of the employees laughed at me and said it’s been ready. They handed me and small cold brew and when I asked them to correct the size they ignored me.

Literally the best breakfast sandwich ever and always an exciting array of desserts to choose from. Great coffee too! This is my favorite place in Kent.

Loved this place (moved years ago) when I worked at Wild Earth. Yummy drink options and delicious bagel sammies. Definitely miss it.

Food and drinks are good but service is awful. Staff ignore you in favor of serving their friends. Staff went out of their way to fill orders of other college students and made me and an older gentleman wait even tho we had much smaller orders and had ordered first.

Stopped in and grabbed a coffee, a refill and spent the afternoon working here. The workers were super nice. The environment is great. And the coffee is on point. I highly recommend and Ill definitely be back!

This is a wonderful average sized coffee shop with good character and really good coffee options.The interior is themed around trees, fittingly, with decorations and some seats designed around trees.They have a pretty good variety of coffee options, as well as sodas, tea, and regional wines. Their drink options are generally good, and I think their iced/frozen options are better than other area competitors.Food options are generally acceptable. Pastries are mostly standard but taste good and fresh. I like their peanut butter sandwich selection, which is probably their most unique offering here.The staff are very nice and seem to have a good working culture, getting along with each other and customers.

Ordered some coffee to-go for an event our office was having. Not personally a coffee drinker, but wanted to comment how I was kindly assisted to my car to prevent having to make multiple trips, very much appreciated the thought.

Really want to give this place a better review! 3 stars just because the employee was nice.. Got a vanilla latte and the espresso tasted so bad and sour and also got a cookie and it was super stale.

Tree City is an excellent place for coffee and pastries. Pre-Covid, an even better place to study or work from. Tree City is warm and inviting, and the drinks and pastries are excellent. My only gripe is that they seem to be a little inconsistent as far as drink taste but that could very well be Covid related.Edit: Updating after my last few trips. There’s still no menu up, customer service isn’t top notch and the drinks are still inconsistent. I order the same thing each time, and it’s never the same. Something has changed, because I frequented Tree City all through college and I never had a bad experience until this past year.

Such a great place to grab a coffee with early in the morning, or even mid afternoon! The employees are so sweet and kind every time my girlfriend and I stop by. DEFINITELY THE BEST COFFEE IN KENT!

My new favorite coffee place! Their pastries are amazing. Coffee is also great (I’ve tried the maple macchiato and the gingerbread chai so far). Have a little patience because they are dealing with a big influx of customers after the viral TikTok. Always nice to support a small business, and the quality is amazing

I used to love this place, but now am hardly ever able to go because of the hours, they are really inconvenient. They are hardly open now and they havent had a drive-thru menu for months so I cant imagine that welcomes new customers.

We we t through the drive thru for the first time, and had a lot of questions and took a while to answer (with 4 kids and 2 adults ordering, it can be expected). But they never lost their cool, they remained patient and polite for the entire transaction. The coffee and treats were to die for.

I love this place! We try to come every weekend. They serve great specialty drinks and the coffee is so good, we even buy bags to take home. They just added avocado toast to their menu, which makes our visits even better. ❤️☕️🥑

Decided to give it a shot after the tik tok story. Ordered 2 cookie butter lattes and that was all. After waiting AT LEAST 10 minutes, at the window, as the only car in the drive thru, they handed us 2 snickerdoodle lattes. We decided it wasn’t THAT BIG of deal and that we would just roll with it and try them. They were barely warm, borderline cold. They did not taste well at all. Wouldn’t be upset if just one of these things had happened (long wait, wrong coffee, bad coffee) but all of them happened together when there was no one else in the drive thru. We ended up going down the road and getting much better coffee from a different local place.

Weird hours. Really miss the way this place used to run. New ownership changed an excellent shop into and inconsistent cluster.Side note- Coffee shops usually stay open until 9-10pm.

Cozy little place with really good coffee and not as expensive as some other places.

Owner was working the register. She was very friendly and overcharged me. I didnt catch it, but she did, and approached me to say she overcharged me and fixed it. Coffee is great. Havent tried the key lime cheesecake, yet, that I brought home.

I have had two bad experiences in the past week. Both times I experienced long waits, orders were wrong and an over priced limited menu. While at the window customer service was poor, when asking for the order to be corrected we were disregarded and left with something we did not order. I will support other local coffee shops in the area going forward.

I love this coffee shop. The staff is always great and the drinks are fun. I think the alcohol twist makes it even better. For Christmas, they had Santa come and have waffles and take pictures which was really cute and even though it was over crowded the service was fast and everybody was friendly. Any sort of Kent adventure we have usually ends up here and then across the street for peace love and little donuts or insomnia cookies!

The bagel sandwiches arent toasted long enough anymore. Still soft when you take a bite.

The establishment has a manager that alienated me with her unfriendly and rude behavior. I will not visit again. You are a rude person. I could not give the second order to another because door dash stacked it on my phone. Meaning i could deliver the first order without the second order. You need to understand it was door dash fault not mine.

This coffee shop is legit. The coffee is great. Their pasty selection was limited the day I came but I’m assuming they have a larger variety but I did have a scone and it was delicious. I just moved here and was looking for a good go-to coffee shop and this is definitely on that list!

Best experienced during the cold winters, they have a fireplace you can gather around and warm yourself up with. Its also good in the summer (sometimes they open up the front of the cafe and have the fresh air blow through), but Im more of a winter person. Also, great place to study for students, but that means it can sometimes get crowded.

Awesome little coffee shop! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great for conversations, groups, and studying! 100% recommend the fall flavors, such as the apple pie chia! This place is good for anything from a sweet baked treat, to a delicious cup of coffee!

Tree City has excellent coffee and other drinks. Their service is great! It was our first time visiting and staff explained the different options and made recommendations.We will definitely go back. I am eager to try their peanut butter sandwiches.

This is my favorite breakfast spot when I am in town. They are very quick and helpful. The coffee is really good and I usually buy a couple bags before I leave. It can get a little crowded when college is in but I usually get there before the college kids are awake anyway.

Excellent coffee. Excellent pastry. We also had a first date lox bagel cream cheese and caper sandwich. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Coffee is comparable to Starbucks. I got a hot apple cider once and the dude gave me hot apple juice...it was awful. They do have a good food selection though as well as good seating to get work done. Its a great atmosphere to study or get coffee and pastries with someone. If you want a dialed and awesome espresso drink, there are definitely better places in Kent for that.

I once had their cheesecake and it was the best in the county. Their coffee is amazing and their service is even more so. I would definitely recommend and come back again. If you like local coffee, youd love tree city!

Tree City is definitely the best coffee in Kent hands down. The Maple Latte is the best beverage I’ve ever consumed. I want to live in Kent forever because that coffee is so good. However, every once in a while I will get a cup of coffee that just doesn’t quite taste right. Or they will be out of the pastry I want. 95% of the time it is available. Also the lemon poppyseed scone is an 11/10.

Great coffee served a variety of ways. The staff is always friendly and service is quick. They have a lot of food selections, many vegetarian. It would be nice to have a vegan option or two though. Theres usually a table open early, but the inside fills up quickly in the evenings.

We asked for the fireplace and they kindly turned it on 😊 Also, they have two choices of peanut butter, their chai tea was at the perfect temperature and the kids hot chocolate were too! Also, the pumpkin seed and cranberry scone was divine. Great chill atmosphere, they have cute and useful tree city paraphernalia available, and if you are bored they have newspapers and pamphlets and fliers. Much enjoyable 😊

I work about a block away and require coffee in order to be friendly to my tables, and this place knocks it out of the park for me every single time. The staff is always super friendly, the coffee is delicious, atmosphere is retro/elegant, and Ive tried a couple of the food and bakery options and theyre delightful as well! Numerous times the staff has gone above and beyond for me and it doesnt go unnoticed or unappreciated. I always look forward to coming in here! I would highly recommend.

Great little shop, quality drinks at decent prices. The pastries look amazing though Ive never had one. They also have a nice variety of coffee beans/grounds for sale. Very friendly and less pretentious than other places nearby. Drive-thru is a great feature as well.

The Fashionista cocktail is the most refreshing cocktail Ive ever had! Tea and mint and watermelon: yum! My friend got the Unicorn Soda which was tasty but very sweet. Definitely worth a try.

Its a little pricey coffee goes, but the coffee is very good (far better than Starbucks in my opinion). The pastries arent bad either. Service is also good. The interior is nice. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.
