Went in on a weekend and was immediately greeted by Jakob. He was very helpful throughout the whole shopping process and displayed an extensive knowledge of each shoes fit and technology. He was able to get me in a pair of shoes that worked for me. One of the best customer service experiences I have had while shopping at Road Runner

Brandon was superb with his help. Listened to every detail of whats wrong and figured out the perfect shoe and support. We went through about 7 different shoes and he was more than helpful on each one. Would definitely go back here just for that reason but the shoes are amazing as well. Ended up with the hoka Clifton 8. Make sure you get the scans. They help out as well. Really great support helps with my ankle injury.

Stewart does an outstanding service and even stayed past closing hour to finish our purchase. The running products are always different and should be scrutinized to fit your need. If there isn’t an honest and knowledgeable store personnel to give you accurate specs, your purchase is a bit of a gamble. If you can get help from Stewart there’s a better chance you might get the shoes rendering less stress and hardship on your active feet given your running context. I give 5 stars only because of Stewart’s honest, above-and-beyond, kind and truthful service. Companies, especially retail, need to pay attention to associates who bring value to their diverse products.

It was a pretty busy day at the store in Kent but everyone was super friendly. Michael helped me out. We found a great shoe, after his suggestion. We ended up ordering a different color way online and shipping it directly to me.It was great to use the treadmill to test the shoes. They have some cool gear too. A brand that I had never heard of but super stylish.

The store was certainly busy last night! Ben was able to help get me with some options for some running shoes I needed. He was very knowledgeable and helpful made my purchasing decision that much easier. Definitely would recommend you buy their VIP option. You have 90 days to wear the shoes and return them if they don’t workout and you can’t beat the savings that comes along with it.

I used to find Road Runner helpful. Originally I went to a running store for shoes and they were awesome. They were all runners and even have running events from the store. They certainly understood how running changes as we age. I switched to road runner for the custom insoles. It used to be good service and it’s just kept declining over the past 5 years. The stores have fancy equipment and teenaged staff who have little experience with running and the needs of runners. I even had one staff member say I could try on a shoe a half size bigger, since they were out of my size, and if I liked it I could order the one in my size!!! I’m going to stick with them for insoles for now and go back to the running store for shoes which is staffed with runners and athletes who know about running, not just the specs of shoes. This last trip the girl brought me the shoes I asked for then kept cleaning the store. Checked back in with me once and then didn’t see her again until I finished deciding between the two and time you checkout. It wasn’t busy in the store. They are friendly and many are helpful. Some are useless.

I had an absolutely FANTASTIC experience yesterday buying some shoes. Brandon helped me by analyzing my feet/gait and making inserts/recommending shoes that felt like walking on clouds.Seriously the fastest/easiest athletic shoe-shopping experience I’ve ever had. Prices were great too!

Loved the first trip in. Bought the inserts and shoes. Unfortunately I had to exchange those... that went mostly great too. I went in to exchange a week later and after a holiday weekend. They didnt have but a few in my size 8 or 8 1/2. I did come home with a pair and Im so hopeful these work... heading out now!The team members are helpful and knowledgeable!

I came to Road Runner Sports because I was interested in a pair of new balance 990v5s. As soon as I walked in I was greeted immediately by Jakob. He asked if there was anything he could help me try on. I replied with the size make and model and he kindly reminded me that he had some other customers to help out as well and that he’d be right back with the shoes for me to test run in store.I was an easy customer. I knew what I wanted, but I noticed Jakob spending the extra time and displaying exceptional customer service with much more needy customers. I also noticed that everyone in the store was very helpful and very friendly when having conversations with other customers. I also appreciated the health safety measures the store took by providing adequate spacing between guests and giving us new socks to try on shoes.I am happy with my purchase and I signed up for the VIP membership to help me get discounts on my purchase today and in the future.

Friendly experience. Store is following safe COVID guidelines with occupancy, wiping surfaces down, masks, etc.Went in to get a foot profile to help pick the right shoes for my feet. Got custom inserts molded and trimmed to fit my shoes. Shoe selection is great and the employee who guided me through the fitting process was super helpful.

I came in looking for a good pair of shoes and left walking on a cloud !Kelsey greeted me cheerfully and quickly gathered information on the type of shoe I was looking for and the details of my walking/running habits.She used video so we could view my running style on a treadmill and measured my feet electronically and heated and custom fit inserts before bringing me a wide variety of choices, all were very comfortable but one was truly outstanding!!!! I wear size 14 which can be hard to find in storeanywhere but they had plenty in stock.I could not have more impressed with Kelsey and everyone at Road Runner Sports in Kent !! If you suffer from foot pain of any kind I would highly recommend visiting as I walked in with both my feet in pain and walked out on what felt like a cloud.Truly. I didnt think it was possible to walk without discomfort anymore but things have changed !!

Ive been going here for my running/lifting sneakers for 6 years now, and the products Ive gotten are high quality, fit well, and dont wear down for at least 3 years. On my most recent visit, they had a really cool foot scanner that detected instep, width, and other factors that would affect stability vs cushion needs. The sales rep I worked with (Kammi) was really helpful and I was out the door with perfectly fitted sneakers in 20 minutes.

Great and knowledgeable service. I have low arches and staff gave me plenty of options. The pair I initially selected didn’t fully alleviate the pain so I brought them back and got another pair along with the customizable insole. Just tried the new pair out and was able to run pain free for the first time in a long time.

I have been a loyal customer for many, many years. I love that I can test my running gear for 90 days to make sure it’s right for me. And I love that I never get any grief when I do returns/exchanges. Staff is always friendly and helpful!

This is the only running shoes & accessories store I go to - wide selection, helpful, knowledgeable staff, and fair prices. If you run - even casually - do invest in an excellent pair of shoes and custom insoles. I am in my mid-40s, have been running for 10 years, done countless half-marathons, and have never had a running injury. Part of that might be genetic lottery winnings, but I definitely attribute a good part of it to the fact that I have always invested in the right shoes. Store has a wide selection. If your choice is not there, it can be ordered online and with free delivery. Staff are so courteous and well trained. They know their product. I got Hoka and Brooks. They have 90days return policy if shoes is not fitted well. Better to go to a store than order online. Their socks are the best.

The experience was quick, efficient, informative and my fitting representative was very knowledgeable about the process and providing options that were best for me. I had a first rate experience at road runner sports. The employee who helped me find shoes was very knowledgeable about the foot wear and helped me to find a shoe that worked for me and also one that would fit my orthotics. She also recommended switching to a men’s shoe which was wider and worked perfectly. I am pleased with my selection. Overall it was a good experience.

I went in today to find a better fitting running shoe. Stewart spent as much time as I needed to help me and was able to answer all my questions and recommend some great shoes. I tried pairs on over and over! I purchased a pair of hokas that I hope will work and he also made custom fit shoe inserts that feel great. He was very patient, fun to talk to and knowledgeable!

I am a nurse and my feet have been hurting! Turns out it was because I was wearing a whole size smaller than I should be! 😱 imagine my shock when I learned this. I got fitted for shoes with Ryka (I think that’s her name) she was patient and thorough and very amazing! It was such a wonderful experience! I paid for the VIP membership to test out my shoes at work. 10/10 recommend this place and their service! I will be returning!

Earlier in the day I called to ensure I could be seen for a shoe fitting without an appointment. I was told yes, no problem over the phone. I showed up at 6:20. Signed in as their were an elderly couple being helped. Two other employees stood behind the counter not assisting anyone. Wondering around looking for 15 minutes a rep finally asked if he could help me. He then went up to the two at the desk and told them I needed an appointment. No apology from tech guy. Gal behind counter came over and said I couldn’t be fitted. I mentioned I spoke with her earlier and that I made a special trip from out of town and that she could e mentioned this over the phone. No apology once again. Walked out 20 min before close - no assistance to anything. Walked passed the other employee helping no one at the desk. Didn’t bother to even look up to say anything as she heard the whole conversation. Horrible customer service. The whole ride home I have a good lesson to my 15 year old son about how not to run a business. I will be heading to a different store.

Rica did a great job of helping me & my boyfriend! She answered all our questions-which were a lot, gave us great suggestions to try on, was super patient while we tried on all of them on and walked around the store. We both had never got custom fitted for running shoes and Rica made the experience fun and non-intimidating! 10/10 would recommend.

I had to return my shoes for a bigger size. I also did not like my inserts. There were no questions asked my money was refunded. The inserts definitely bring the cost of the shoe up, it would be nice if they weren’t so expensive.

My overall experience with Road Runner Sports is highly satisfied! I came to them needing specific shoes as I am recovering from a 5th metatarsal fracture. Upon walking into the store I was quickly greeted by a young gentleman who helped me get the right shoes and a quick mold for my insoles. He was very knowledgeable, attentative, and kind!

Pamela did a great job helping me today. She was knowledgeable, concise, and listened to my needs. I haven’t been able to try on the shoes because my size 14s were not in stock (no store ever has them). But so far very happy with the experience.

Jakob was knowledgeable, polite and extremely helpful! I took my parents in to get some new insoles/shoes because they were both having pain in their knees. They work long hours and spend a good chunk of their time on their feet. He was attentive to their needs and made great suggestions for them. He answered every question we had and he made shopping for them a breeze. I would highly recommend him to anyone coming into Road Runner.

I highly recommend going to this store & asking for Pamela! She is the BEST!! It was a great experience and I learned a lot about what shoes are best for me, how I walk/run, and my shoe size. I also got shoe inserts that were specifically molded for my feet (highly recommend). Don’t forget to ask for Pamela & make sure to visit this store!

Lets see. I went there because they had Hookas and in my research of why my feet hurt it said those were the best to help prevent it. So I go and upon arrival am met by a friendly staff member who begins to ask me questions. Annoyed slightly, but also curious about the various tools they have to assess my gaite and running stance so I allow for the questions and Im quite impressed. Through their review they showed me how my arches were falling. I had suspected this and had been doing calf raises to try and combat it. They recommended a $80 custom arch support. Im a cheap skate and hate the idea of spending more than $20 on a pair of shoes so $80 for a super thin insole felt like highway robbery. My feet hurt to walk too much and were killing me to run at all. So I get the arch support and when I put them in my shoes it was like a beautiful choir began singing. My feet were so happy. As I walk out of the store $250 dollars light I have to fight the urge to vomit over the cost, but my feet sure were happy. Fortunately work reimbursed me $100 for the shoes.

We had a great time at Road Runner Sports; and were able to narrow down and get the shoes that were best for our own unique body and running/walking forms. They have a lot of different styles to choose from and special equipment to also help you determine whats right for your specific body, and the way you move. The only reason I gave Road Runner Sports four rating, is because we felt a little rushed through the process. We came in as a couple to do everything together and felt very separated as if we were strangers, going through the entire process, unable to give each other feedback on our choices/decision making process; as well as the prices on the apparel are a little steep. Other than that, we really like Road Runner Sports, and will continue to return and would recommend to everyone who wants the best shoes for their athletic endeavors; whatever that may be.
