Decent place to get groceries. You can find cakes, fruit in a cup, variety of tropical fruit, and all things Latin. Limited produce but everything is usually fresh. I always stop by to get some carnitas by the pound and salsa. Minus one star as I often find salsa that are weeks old and sometimes they dont make a fresh batch. Bakery items are decent too and the kids like to eat the churros. Although, more frequent cleaning is needed on the glass doors. The driveway leading to the parking lot has lots of potholes and homeless in broken cars nearby. The tall female manager is super friendly and is very helpful.

Stuffs a little pricey but so worth it. Any Mexican item needed will be found in this store. They have the best meat and an amazing fresh bakery. The store also has its own tortilla makers and the have a small deli where u can also get snacks and fresh cheese and hams. Also a fish area they got it all even a restaurant inside. Large arming in front and back. Yesterday I walked in and omg the smell of fresh bread filled the it. It was like 1oam and I just wanted to buy my bread and rush home to make a nice warm cup of hot chocolate or coffee. If u have never been here I advise u go they have a little bit of everything just like a California store. Here’s a few pics I captured while in the store.

Good selection for the most part. The pan selection couldve been better, but we didnt get any as we saw people literally coughing into the bread/pan shelves. There was very few people actually taking decent precautions, most goers, including the staff were wearing masks under their noses, no sanitation stuff to be seen. When asked we saw that the employees werent provided with masks that actually fit, so I think its a management issue. The meat area seemed like it had decent prices I, and the selection of cookies and other packaged goods seemed pretty decent.

We went to get a cake for a friends birthday, the spelling had been given over the phone, but they ended up misspelling the name! No worries, they can wipe it off and try again right ? NOPE, they asked us to wipe off the name and rewrite it. We did that and then rewrote the name on our own. She then proceedes to charge us extra for the frosting. Ive been coming here for years and this was the worst incident Ive ever had. How can you make a mistake, refuse to fix it, and then charge us to fix your mistake.

La Huerta Mexican & Latin Market is a pretty great little Mexican grocery store within walking distance of Kent Station! They have everything you want for your Mexican grocery needs, plus a bunch of stuff that I didnt even know existed!Tons of stuff is made in-house and ready to go and they also have a lot of imported goods that you could never hope to find at a regular grocery store. Stop on by if its Mexican night - theyre got it in stock here!

If you are looking for Mexican/Latin products this is the store you will need to come to... not only that, they have inside a small restaurant with limited seats (so come early or be luck) but with delicious food to choose from... the Meet section has a wide selection of different beef, pork, checking prepared and well chopped to choose from (assuming you dont mind the smell due to the poor ventilation), but despite that the meat you buy should will make a great dish.

TONS OF EXPIRED FOOD, just take a walk through the meat section, the candy, the canned goods, even the fruits are going bad! You really have to pay attention to what you buy read all expiration labels. While one package can be good the ones right by can be expired as far as 4 years old. Be very careful with the prepared foods and also careful with their hot food section.I have gotten told that usually construction men come to buy food there and asked dont you cook for your man? Why are you buying prepared food from a place like this? We usually just sell to the working menI wasnt aware that only working men were allowed customers.I quickly regretted it as soon as I got home after being over charged...I tried the food and their rice was rancid the beans were old and sour and their food had a plastic after taste. The butchers area has some really welcoming people if you dont understand the language then you are lucky not to have to listen to their dirty talk about womens parts and the position they had the woman in or the sounds she made...yeah I have had to listen to those and regretted all the years of Spanish I took.Their bakery is so good- when its fresh, its like heaven. I love their doughnuts!Overpriced items throughout the store for sure...have paid close to six dollars for a Gallon of milk... theres WinCos down the road but if you dont want to deal with the short drive this is the quick place to shop.

Visiting from South Texas and not alot of Mexican grocery stores to choose from in the Tacoma Seattle areas. This store was great!! Smeared everything on top. Cant even eat it, its so gross. Nothing AUTHENTIC about this place! For 4.40 I expect better. Its a complete cup of soup with the corn water sloshing around inside....they didnt drain it at all. Dont waste your time or money. I am furious I want to barf. Decent place for Mexican/International products. Although the international part seemed to be products from other Spanish-speaking countries.Small produce section, but with lots of staples. Butcher shop, groceries, taquería (food-to-go), Bakery. Had a good selection of pan-dulce (sweet-bread). They had my favorite: pumpkin empanadas. All of the pan-rellenos (stuffed sweet bread) that I tried was very good. They have a selection of fruit-filled and other fillings (chocolate, cream cheese, cheddar), so ask if you are not sure what you are picking up. Also had small selection of doughnuts. Had a couple of Halloween inspired sweet breads. Yes, I like sweet bread.A lot of the products were very familiar, nothing that surprised me. Some of the prices however, did surprise. A little spendy on some things, not so much on others.I will visit again.

I am very disappointed with the customer service.Every time I get something at the snack bar there is always something spoiled, same with the bread theres been times when I buy Moldy bread and I dont realize until I get home, And when I call to get a refund they make a big deal out of it.And on top of that is the most expensive Hispanic store in town... Cakes are getting sloppier more often, flies inside the sweet bread stand. If I keep going this will never end...I just want to let everyone know my experience at this store.I just go there if I really really dont have the time to go to my fav store. Where they have better service and better quality food.
