Great selection from fish to reptilian creatures and birds. Then products for all the different types is wonderful as well. Employees are so helpful and ready to answer any questions you may have... came in to see what the fish selection was like as I just got a tank and am looking to fill it up just as soon as the water is right. They had everything I was looking for and then some. Looking forward to coming back and picking up all the new friends for my tank.

The animals here deserve so much better… Dirty tanks and enclosures.. many animals without water or food… no enrichment, hides, etc. Too small of cages… Owners do not care. Don’t support this business, help report them. Have no idea how they are allowed to be open. It’s heartbreaking

Love coming here to grab certain pet supplies and fish that we can’t find at our closer pet stores….The staff Alex who is very knowledgeable about animals and the other employee Jasmine are very helpful to us every time we shop here….It’s the other two elder men who seem like it’s about that time to retire and rest….The store needs way more help in the store when traffic rushes in meaning they need more employees to help ring up or grab fish for customers

This is a nice store. It has some fish that you wont find at a big chain store so thats a plus. One thing that I wish they did have was a bigger selection of fish food.

I really liked their variety of pets from fish on. I love the fact that they have been around since 1971. I like the Male worker there, who said his cousin owned the shop, he was very nice. The women not so much. The other draw back was the shop was really junky. We got two goldfish. We hope they are healthier than the fish at the chain pet shops.

Best place hands down for your pets. They are lovers of birds fish reptiles snakes and rodents. You can also get stuff for your dogs and cats too! There are live animals everywhere you look. The kids love walking through. The people who work there are hard workers and they are very knowledgeable and super friendly and funny.

This store is awesome! Very helpful and knowledgable staff. Fish that I havent seen anywhere else and the ability for them to track down and order something they dont have. I come here every bit of my pet/fish needs and its more of an experience than a shopping trip. I love it here.

We stopped here for the first time just to look at what they have... They have birds that are sad as hell in dirty cages, they have all sorts of fish who are also neglected. The whole store has piles of clutter everywhere and reminded me of the show Hoarders (ZERO exaggeration). After seeing those birds and fish we put our item(1) we were gonna buy, back. And left. As an animal lover Im very upset after going here. Shame

This is an authentic pet store. Yes it is old, yes it isnt the best looking but it provides knowledge, great selection of both live animals and dry goods. It had a room fullof fishes and both new and used equipment throughout the store. They have a small saltwater selection.Say hi to their Parrot, usually chillin on the dry goods area.

I worked her as a teenager and love this pet store and that guy that owns it is very dear to my heart. Robbie is like an older brother to me!! And i still to this day get all my reptile and small animal needs from here. Yes, its dusty and very cluttered in the back with tanks and such... But its the most unique and warm pet store that i prefer to shop at, and that even for for large chain pet stores..Robbie is such a warm personality and he is so helpful, making it that much better to come here and support rather than elsewhere for the same things. Midway will always be like home, no matter how old and dusty it gets! 😍

Went in for info and care for snails and ghost shrimp for betta tank. Extremely helpful. My dogs ate the snail food and had to go get more. They remembered us. Was great friendly experience!

I love this store! It isnt super big but they have a good variety of fish. They also have birds and hamsters and spiders which Im terrified of lol. They have the cheapest prices Ive seen anywhere!!! Definitely the place to go to buy fish and other pet needs!

The store was cool, a lot to look at. They seems to have things in stock regularly but the wait time is long. Spent 45 minutes waiting for someone to help, all the while listening to a staff member complain to customers about coworkers. Id rather skip the drama and get in and out quickly.

Love this place. It has been around for at least the 30 years i have been going there. Cute animals and amazing fish!! Great products and the staff isnt that bad.

One thing I noticed first about this store was that there was hardly a stench to it. If you walk into Sierra Fish and Pets or Little Amazon - it is a horrible smell. Second thing I noticed was how many different pets they had out on display just for you to look at. The parrot, a cat, even a employee walking around with a little yellow bird on her hand.We went in to look for more information on owning a bunny and the staff was SO friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and I could tell they really know their animals and the information could be trusted.Overall it was a great experience. We are coming back today to get our bunny and all the supplies and will continue to drive from West Seattle to Midway Pet Store for all our needs.Thank you for being such a friendly, informative, clean and helpful pet store. Thank you for employing those who actually know and care about animals. Those pet stores are hard to come by.

This store has a big selection of pet supplies and some of the staff are very friendly. I bought 6 fish from here and they all had ich and died within a week ($120). I seen dead fish in some of the tanks and the live plants do not transfer well. The store is crowded and dirty. Even though the selection is really big and they have some nice fish, I will not buy anything else from here.

Been going to this pet store since I was a kid. Actually used to live across the street most of my life. I like y’all on Facebook since you don’t have a website and am disappointed to see that all that gets posted are memes. Is there anywhere online where I can actually get information about your store? Sales, types of pets available, etc...... memes are fun on occasion but information is great to.

I was surprised when I entered the store. It looks small from the outside but it has quite a lot inside to offer. Staff was helpful and patient with me. They answered the phone quickly. They greated us upon arrival.Next time I will come with my kids. They will find it as entertaining as a zoo🙈😊😉. Fish, turtles, bunny, birds....It smells inside. So be prepared. Likely, masks can help you with that somehow.

I purchased two clown loaches and three glow danios, the loaches had terrible ich, the glow danios had a parasite at they all died. Great selection of more unique fish but they do not seem to take the best care of them.

I read all the positive reviews, so I made the drive......and it was so depressing. Dirty tanks with dead fish in more than half the tanks I saw. Several of the dead were scrawny plecos: a dirty tank doesnt mean theres enough for them to eat, get some dang algae wafers or something! The person who helped me was friendly, but couldnt answer my questions. Black tuft algae completely covered several sponge filters I saw; sure algae comes and goes, but if you clean your filters regularly it shouldnt be growing on those, at least.I wont be back.(...that arowana tank, held up by stacked 4x4s and cinder blocks? Dont be near that in an earthquake)

If you need it, they have it. Place isnt the most organized, but, if you ask, they will likely have whatever you are looking for. One of the few family owned pet stores left. Owner truly cares about animals.

Great Local bloodworn supply but I dont think they quarantine their fish. I could be wrong if they quarantine offsite. it is what it is. Good for live and frozen fish food.

This might be the only place you can bring your fish that you bring a fish that has outgrown your tank, and exchange it for new fish! Like my pleco, Finn, here.... I got him when he was only an inch long, now hes 8 inches long and was hitting his nose on the walls of my 30 gallon tank. Poor thing. Well, now he has a much bigger tank to enjoy

I like the variety of items and animals here and appreciate the knowledge of the staff.I must admit the place feels a bit old and cramped and messy sometimes but I just try to think of it as cozy. Im happy to see a small business stick around for so long especially through 2020.

Its small but, dont be fooled, this place is excellent for those of us with exotic pets to feed and care for! They have aquarium supplies galore, as well as fish and plants to fill those aquariums with. They also have a generous supply of bird related stuff, as well as a small variety of birds for sale but, birds are not my expertise. My visit was simple this time, but it was so nice to find a place which sells pinkie mice. Snakes might be able to be fooled with dead food but, tarantulas are not so easily duped but such pansied inhumanity. Ill definitely be returning again!

Cramped, hot, and generally needed to be better cleaned and organized for customers. I had originally thought they just moved in seeing how messy it was. The animals there however all seemed in fantastic health. Mostly fish, a few birds, and even less other pets. The owners seem to really care about their passions.

The only place we can find live pinky mice to feed our very picky snake. They are always helpful and truly care about customers.

Midway Pets has become my favorite place to buy and discover a massive mix of food and fish. I never have to question the advice given to me. Its like they treat me as family.

Although they carry a great assortment of fish and are helpful, Ive had an awful time with their freshwater shrimp! PLANARIA hitched a ride into my shrimp aquarium and KILLED EVERYTHING IN IT! I had noticed planaria in another tank, mentioned it to an employee. He acted like it wasnt a big deal and blew me off! Their tanks are REALLY dirty and Ive found fish dead or in distress and again, blown off. If you need FEEDER CRICKETS, shop here! But for fish or shrimp, find somewhere else!

This is one of the BEST tropical fish shops I’ve been in Washington so far. I always look for varieties and this store has bettas to schooling fish to exotic fish to saltwater fish. Great assortments.

It was really cool In there. Even though I did not purchase anything it was very cool. All their animals were very healthy, I was very impressed when I seen the big arowana sitting up there on the top. They have nice reptiles, sometimes birds, and lots of fish. Every now and then they will have a turtle in there. I was just very impressed that they could just fit everything in that tiny building. Thanks Bobby for showing me around😁😁.

Great fish selection but some tanks were full of fish with ick. I bought several fish that were healthy though so Ill be going back.

The customer service is absolute horrid. I was in the store for half an hour waiting for someone to assist with taking out fish from the tank. There werent many ppl in the store but the workers there didnt seem interested in helping. I left and went to petco. They will lose my patronage.

Midway may not look the fanciest but carries everything youll need for aquatic pets, reptiles, birds, dogs, etc. I love coming here for aquatic plants, aquarium supplies and advice. One of the few pet stores in the area thatll carry axolotls!

Most of the tanks were empty, others skinny unhealthy fish with ick on them . Birds were dirty and not for sale, this store is falling apart . With as much covid prob we have you would think the tanks would be crystal clear and the place would be clean n nice .

They have a bunch of great facebook groups and YouTube videos to help you out. When I make comments about my pet rats usually the information they have to provide is incorrect. I will continue to come here for my feeders and pet needs because they are always so friendly.

Such a friendly place! I live right around the corner from Midway Pets, and my preschooler has loved coming here since she was just shy of 1yr and a half. She likes to look at the array of fishes, the birds, the large parrot just chilling, and sometimes the rabbits, when they have them. This place also sells mice, snakes, gerbils, and other kinds of critters. Check it out! They also have a candy jar ya wont be able to keep your arm out of.

They definitely pack a lot of animals and items in a small space. They have a lot to offer and seem to have most of your basic fish, reptile, bird, and small mammal needs, so this seems to be a great place to find what you are needing to maintain many different types of habitats.

Really cool locally owned pet supply shop. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Last time I visited, I was in need of some food for my dog but only had $10 to my name. The clerk hooked it up by giving me a $5 discount on a bag of excellent dog food. 😁The aquatics section is awesome. Lots of live fish that you won’t find at the big national chain pet shops. The selection of fish/aquarium care products is Also more comprehensive as well as flexible. Staff has ability to order in just the right item you need or at least point you in the right direction.This type of place is an increasingly rare treasure to find in these days of cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all corporate chain retailers.

When I buy crickets from other pet store, not only do I pay more, but half of them seem to die pretty quickly. At Midway I never have that problem. Family owned is always cool....

I come here very often from the very warm and relaxing atmosphere. They have a wide variety of different pets and pet supplies that are available for a low cost. They also have a good different variety of animals such as hermit crabs or mice over here, and they also have a great fish section in the store.

This place saved my life, kindof!! My son had bought a hamster w/o my knowledge. It was okay at 1st, then my allergies started kicking in! I had no idea I was allergic to hamsters! To make a long story short, I brought it to this place w/ no problem!

Great local pet store, with huge selections of different items. Prices are good, or better than many of the other places around. Would give 5 stars, but some tanks were a bit hard to see in because of poor lighting or being dirty. Overall, a great mom and pop pet store. Highly recommend!
